Inchins Bamboo Garden
39024 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Apologize in advance for a long review...I heard great things about this restaurant but never tried it. Recently a family member told me that the Sunnyvale location was really good. As I was looking up the location, there was this Fremont location that was closer to me. So I thought Id try that....big mistake. We got there around 7:15pm on a Friday night, it didnt look busy for dine in but I saw the take out que lined up on a table. We were a table of 5 including a toddler, we got seated right away. The place looked very nice and ambiant. Food was pricey here, but since this was a Indo-Chinese specialty, we didnt mind. We were given paper menu, but after we had ordered, they asked for it back right away... I thought they were single use? Our appetizers came right away, The masala butter Momos were really good, hot and sour soup was ok...more on the salty side. There was a good portion of paneer 65 but it had burnt aftertaste like the oil that it was cooked in was used many times. We tried the veg Hakka noodles and street food Noodles, we couldnt tell the difference. Wings are not their specialty at all, had better wings at a pizza place. Overall food was ok, Service was ok too, they gave us a cup of soup instead of a family bowl. For $16 noodles, there was no wow factor or anything special about it. During the end, the bill came quickly glanced at it and gave my card. As I got back the receipt to sign, I saw the suggested tip added that to the bill, picked up our left overs and left to my car. I then started to review the bill thinking wow this was really expensive place, and that where I made the mistake, I didnt know that they already charged 21% gratuity! I thought gratuity was over 6 ppl! I quickly went back to the restaurant to see if they can cancel my extra tip of 15% the lady at the front desk stated its too late now, I cant reverse the tip and its too long and complicated. I noticed she was using a POS system, so I knew she was lying. She stated that gratuity is over a party of 5 which I never heard of?? Maybe wrong... Either way she didnt want to help me, got 36% off of a $200 bill. My issue is that I gave extra tip on top of a already 21% gratuity added and they didnt care. This was my final tip to them. Never coming back...

Special Noodle

Recently, I had the pleasure of taking my son out for a special date night at Special Noodle in Newark, and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was simply delicious, earning it a solid 4.5 stars in my book. While the chow fun wasnt the best Ive had, and the soup dumplings were just average, the chili wontons definitely hit the spot. However, the star of the show was undeniably the numbing beef soup. It was bursting with flavor and truly a must-try, although be prepared for a slight numbing sensation in your tongue and throat. Despite this, it remains one of my favorite soups. In addition to the fantastic food, the service was top-notch. The staff was quick, responsive, and very accommodating, despite the language barrier with some servers. Their warmth and friendliness added to the overall pleasant dining experience.I also appreciated the unique decor and ambiance of the restaurant, particularly the lavish lights adorning the overhead ceiling. It added a special touch to the dining atmosphere.Overall, Special Noodle offers a memorable dining experience with its delicious food, excellent service, and charming ambiance. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Always Cool BBQ
6008 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
I stopped by recently with a friend for dinner and to be quite honest there werent a lot of options in which i wanted to try (if you enjoy chinese street food/style bbq along with internal organs (gizzards/ligaments/hearts) options then this would be a good spot for you) otherwise there were some sparing seafood/noodle dishes along with rice, veggies, side dishes.i personally tried the beef kabobs, abalone w/vermicelli, squid neck, and fish tofu. my friend ordered fried rice with pineapple and crispy fried chicken with egg yolk - to which i tried and didnt really enjoy. but props to the crispy fried chicken with egg yolk you can really taste the salted egg. vs. the fried rice with pineapple - wasnt super flavorful and didnt look too appetizing.id say that the beef kabobs, abalone w/vermicelli, squid neck, and fish tofu were a pretty safe option to order and the flavor was pretty good. i think this is a spot in which id stop by again every now and then but not a spot id go to consistently! if youre in the area id recommend trying it at least once esp if you enjoy eating internal organs!tips:- karaoke bar is right next door- easy ordering through the phone- great for big groups and larger parties- very aesthetically pleasing along with lots of fun decorations around the place- parking lot available

Osumo Poke
39957 Mission Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539, United States
I used to love coming here all the time, their poke is the freshest Ive had in the area. However, lately they have been closed the last 3 times I tried to come here. The first in early January (there was a sign that said closed til 1/17, ok whatever because of the holidays) then a second time on a weekday at 4:30 pm (online says theyre open til 6?) and a third time on a tuesday afternoon! Their phone number doesnt even work so you cant verify their hours with them. I understand things happen last minute but at least do your due diligence and post a working number and new hours/update them online so your customers dont keep wasting their time.

Momo & Kebab
37100 Fremont Blvd Suite K, Fremont, CA 94536, United States
I had never tried momos before and felt it was a good thing to do for my try something new every week resolution. The free chai at the restaurant's entrance is an excellent hospitality measure and put a smile on my face straightaway. The chai was very flavorful with a simple hint of cardamom. Our server was very kind and welcoming, always smiling and attentive. The food arrived promptly after we ordered, hot, and steaming. We ordered both paneer and veggie filled momos. Both were decently spiced and palatable. We tried both the soup variant and pan fried variant. The soup was not very appetizing and detracted from the momo flavor after it had soaked into the wrapping. The pan fried ones were much more appetizing and went well with the spicy sauce. One thing that was disappointing was that many of the momos had burst or broken easily upon being picked up by chopsticks. Given how thick the wrapping was, I had hoped that it would hold up better. The chow mein was actually pretty quite well done. There were crispy veggies, perfectly cooked noodles, and nicely balanced seasoning. Surprisingly I enjoyed it more than the momos.Regarding the spicy sauce provided in the bright red squeeze bottles. The flavor was ok, a little sweet, a little spicy. But I'm not sure if was just generic store bought or home made. There was nothing special about it. The same goes for the tomato dipping sauce provided with the fried momos. There were noticeable roasted tomato and spicy heat notes, but there were too much peel and stems that made the texture wanting.

Shakers Pizza
4075 Thornton Ave, Fremont, CA 94536, United States
Myself and 20 others received THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced this past weekend with a manager named Ryan. This past Saturday we had reservations for an 11 year old's birthday party. Our reservation was made for 5-7 pm. We had previously discussed the type of dessert we were to bring in as well as the types of pizza we would like (as they require a minimum of 4 XL pizzas when reserving for parties). We (about 20 guests) arrived Saturday at 5 pm and decorated one of the 4 tables that they had reserved with our name written on a paper plate with the time slot “5-7” also written. At about 5:20 we went to purchase sodas and beer. At the bar counter we requested a tube dispensered beer, as we have ordered in the past, we were told that they no longer sold the tubes. No problem, we proceeded to buy pitchers which are a little pricier than the tube. Well the gentleman behind us went right ahead and ordered a tube dispensing beer.. when we asked the bartender why the gentleman was served one and we were not, she replied with “oh he (Ryan/manager) doesn't like to give them out, it depends on who you get” I don't think this is a good procedure for business, but fine we accepted her answer. At this point, our party of 20 is sitting in the middle of Shakers having our drinks and socializing when we realize it's 6:15 and the pizzas have not been delivered. We proceeded to go up to the counter and inquire about our reserved/previously discussed order, here is where we were met with shockingly horrible customer service… Ryan, instead of apologizing, blamed us and told us that we did not check in “at the counter” therefore our pizzas were not available. Despite the fact that I checked in twice with a staff member working the floor in which he assured twice that the pizza was coming out. I explained how a large RESERVED group has been sitting there for over an hour and your blaming us for not checking in “at the counter” He kept saying “you don't know our procedure here, you don't know how it works and in order to get our pizza we had to go to the counter” the problem with his response is as the customer it is not my job to implement your establishments procedure. I would also think as the manager he would inquire if such a large party would be ordering food after occupying half of their establishment for over an hour.. all in all he decided to make the decision to CANCEL our party and kick us out.. when this probably could have been fixed with a simple apology and an explanation of their standard procedure for parties. We have lived locally and ordered from Shakers for YEARS, it is very unfortunate to see how this establishment has gone down. I am HIGHLY disappointed in the staff and management of this place and I nor anyone I know will ever spend money at Shakers Pizza again. We took our business to Bronco Billy's in Irvington where we were met with OUTSTANDING customer service for our party, without even a reservation.

Kyain Kyain
3649 Thornton Ave, Fremont, CA 94536, United States
How excitement can turn into abject disappointment in one meal. Went in and ordered the Lamb Curry with Paratha. They served it in plastic ware. I asked for a plate. They refused to give one, stating they don't have one to give.I turned around and saw a family of six eating in bowls. I literally asked “have I done something to offend you?” I was confused as to why they didn't have… plates and bowls?Anyway. I asked to be rung up so I can eat at home. One star gone for poor in-restaurant experience. Now to the food. All could be forgiven if the food was good. It wasn't. I ate a third and threw the rest. The lamb was cooked but inconsistently. Pan tossed at best versus cooked in the actual curry. It seems the gravy was added as an afterthought. The gravy was oily and under flavored, and barely constituted an ounce of the container at best. The potato seemed old and wrinkled and crumbled. The paratha was incredibly oily and doughy and felt like biting into oil, but not in a good way. There was an unnecessary heaviness to it.Lastly, the cucumber salad was insanely spicy, like “run and get some ice cream” level of heat. On a cucumber. The cucumber had more heat than the meat. The boorishly large portions of meat were a chore to eat.I absolutely love Burmese food and every Bay Area Burmese restaurant I've been to has been absolutely top notch, be it a fancy spot or a simple suburban one.But Kyain Kyain was such a let down.

Amami Sushi Fremont
46228 Warm Springs Blvd ste 444 & 452, Fremont, CA 94539, United States
As a non sushi lover, this place got me convinced, and now I want sushi all the time. The sushi was so good, and the miso soup was amazing. The only thing I was concerned about and didnt like was that that I went with a group for a friends birthday, and it seemed like the people in our group who ordered anything outside of sushi didnt enjoy their meal. For example, someone ordered a salmon, and the salmon that was served was pretty stale, and when she brought it up, the server insisted it was fresh and didnt even try to resolve the issue with the customer. We also ordered cheesecake for dessert to share for the birthday girl, and the cheesecake was not fresh either, and it felt like we were digging into a block of ice because it was so hard and frozen lol.All in all, if you visit this restaurant, stick to ordering sushi, and you will not be disappointed because the sushi is ??. Oh, and the green peas was so good, too, lol!

Milk and Honey Cafe
34265 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94555, United States
We found this restaurant on Google amongst the top 5 Taiwanese restaurants in the East Bay. We were really after the food because all of us were starving after a long drive. The first impression we had after we walked into the restaurant was that it felt like someone's living room - there are two chandeliers, some couches and some shelves at the front. We waited for about 10 mins before we got seated and were greeted by a very courteous server who speaks Mandarin. There are 4 of us, and we ended up ordering a spicy beef noodle in soup, a fried chicken bento, a fried pork chop bento and a pepper and salt pork chop. Every dish is delicious and in huge portion. We also ordered one black sugar milk and one strawberry pudding and boba milk. Both are as large as McDonald's super size drink and they are fully loaded and taste fantastic. The server checked in with us a couple of times to see to refill our water and see if we like our food. We are all very satisfied with the dinner and walked out with a big smile!

Eastern Winds Chinese Restaurant
40723 Grimmer Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
Ordering online is a snap, as it uses Grubhubs back-end. Just click on a menu item to add to your cart. The menu itself is immense, absolutely anyone will be able to find something theyre familiar with. I got the Pu Pu platter, Mu Shu chicken, and some cans of soda. The Pu Pu platter (appetizer sampler) was so chock full of items, it had to be packaged in two full size takeout containers. Everything was fried just right, and tasted excellent. My favorite was easily the potstickers. The Mu Shu chicken was good, but rather soggy, and I only got one cup of hoisin sauce, when I ended up getting six cups of sweet and sour for the appetizer. These things, while little, dragged down one of my favorite meals, and so I must take a star.I had to take the second star because in my order I specifically asked for extra napkins and I got zero. I even said please. That hurts Eastern Winds, that hurts us both. It hurts even worse since I preemptively tipped over 20% as a courtesy. The delivery was within the time window given by Grubhub, and the guy was nice but not talkative. Packaging was impressive, everything was rolled, tucked, tied, and shut, and there were no leaks from anything. No almond cookies though, which is unfortunate. All in all, a filling meal that was unfortunately brought down by a few but significant shortcomings. Id really love to see this place do better and Id like to give them another chance in the future. I hope to see them on their A-game very soon.
