Two Cousins Deli
1331 Old County Rd, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
First Im a huge deli sandwich person and have tried many different delicatessens in the Bay area on the peninsula to be exact. Well this place is by far one of the best Ive tried. Their sourdough rolls are perfection and they put a good amount of meat on the sandwiches but not to much where thats all you taste just enough to compliment the other toppings. Speak about toppings they have a variety of ones to choose from as well as their spreads. The spicy mayo is my favorite. Only negative thing about this delicatessen is I wish they stayed open later cause they close way to early. If you get a chance then try this place you wont be disappointed!!2/07/24..just an update.. I ordered 2 sandwiches from you guys today and again as usual they were perfection!! best deli sandwiches in the Bay area by far. Thank you for making such Delicious true deli sandwiches.

6/22 Edit:I recently ordered a falafel wrap online, for pickup. I was in a rush.and didnt pay attention to the particulars, paying with Google Pay.The price has risen to $14.00, which is pricey. However, it is an exceptional wrap.I was shocked to later notice the total was almost $20. Turns out, they have a default tip of 20% (for pickup?!) and a $1 convenience fee. I only tip for personal service, as was intended (To Improve Performance). I missed it, and so will others. A living wage tips shouldnt be confused.Pick up is convenient for the restaurant.Everything I wrote below still applies. However, I wont order pickup anymore!Previous review.Friendly efficient service. Restaurant is bright and immaculate. Food is fresh and delicious!I order the Falafel Pita off their website for pickup. Creative ingredients and a meal in itself for under $10! Their packaging is compostable, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, they opened their doors right at the start of the pandemic. Lets support them. Theyre are nice additions to Belmont!
El Godinazo Centro Botanero

They do a botanero Nayarita style bar here, which means that as long as you keep buying drinks, theyll keep bringing the seafood-based snacks. Enjoy your favorite Mexican beers while you eat shrimp and veggie soup, fried fish rinds (chicharron de pescado—its just breaded fried fish) served with 1 of 2 house sauces, fish and crab ceviche (most likely imitation crab), and a few other paid orders not included with the beer.Paid orders include fried whole fish (a fish called Mojarra in Mexico), shrimp ceviche, and something else I cant recall.Pretty authentic, and It makes me think of my parents hometown and state in Mexico. I only wish it was as delicious and varied as it is out there, although still good. Some aguachiles even as a paid order would be VERY welcome in my book, as theyre not offered here!Bottom line: if youre looking to drink at a Mexican/Nayarita style bar with some seafood snacks and some ambiance to go along with it, come here. Just leave the whooping and yelping at home, cause theyll kick you out lol its a family friendly place. Children ARE allowed. Take that as you will.
Blue Sky Caf
1625 El Camino Real #9, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
What a gem of a HK restaurant in the peninsula! The food is delicious with large portions. Some of our favorites include Hainan chicken, stir fried green beans, and the salted fish fried rice. Weve pretty much enjoyed every dish weve ordered there though. They sometimes even offer soup with our order.Decent amount of parking and indoor seating. Overall, a great place to stop by for Chinese food in the area!
Little Belmont Cafe
232 Harbor Blvd, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
Simply put, do not come here. You wont be treated like family. You will NEVER see a server after placing your order. They will forget your meal. Wont bring you napkins or utensils.RESTROOM: N/ASERVICE: Service was absolutely abysmal. We ordered a breakfast plate and a lunch plate. It took exceptionally long to get the chili burger and my wifes meal NEVER came out. The server who took our order never came by our table after we ordered. Never. Someone else brought me my chili burger but we werent given any napkins or utensils. No one came by to check on us. Ever. 10 minutes after my food came we realized that my wifes meal was probably never coming. I went inside to confront them. They didnt acknowledge the mistake or offer any kind of apology. Nothing. They just said theyd bring it out. Another 15 minutes the food came out. Even after I went and paid for the food they never offered us to go boxes. Absolutely horrible service. And this places motto is they treat you like family. If anything we felt unwelcome.FOOD: chili burger was not hot or very warm. The fries were burnt. My wife barely ate any of her omlette as by this time she had lost her appetite from the horrible experiencePRICE: Roughly $34 for a breakfast plate and a lunch plate which is I feel is definitely on the reasonable side.CLEANLINESS: 4/5
Hongry Kong
407 Old County Rd, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
Hongry Kong puts in a solid effort to make Hong Kong cafe style food, and its pretty decent. I think it has the potential to be something great, but its not quite there yet.I had the curry beef brisket and tendon over rice, an egg tart, and milk tea. The beef brisket and tendon was mostly tendon, which is fine with me. I love me some tendon! For $8, I do believe that there should have been more brisket though. The beef was a bit rough and stringy and wasnt that flavorful on its own, but the spices in the curry helped lift it a little. Theres also some carrots and potatoes mixed in. I did like that the potatoes were fried before being added to the curry. They had a deep fried flavor that mixed well with the spices. Imagine home fries smothered in curry. It was a welcome surprise, since I didnt expect that from a food truck. Heck, not many brick and mortar cafes do that. Theres a healthy portion of rice underneath too, which kept me adequately satisfied. With a little work, this could be a real winner.I definitely wasnt expecting the egg tart to be Golden Gate Bakery status, and its really not bad. The crust is pleasantly light, crispy, and flaky. The egg custard is smooth, although it could be sweeter and have a more eggy richness. Overall, its good enough to hold its own. I dont know if its a deal at $1.25. In terms of food truck prices, I guess thats around the right range. The best part about this truck was the milk tea. The rich creaminess gave it a full bodied mouthfeel, and the tea was brewed strong enough to give it a bold, robust earthiness. The finish was just slightly harsh, and its almost borderline too sweet and heavy, but its a solid milk tea by Bay Area standards. I recommend that you order it without ice so it doesnt get diluted. I just wish there was an option to order it hot.I would rate the food in the 3 star territory, but I feel like giving Hongry Kong 4 stars because of the milk tea. Thats how much milk tea means to me.
Spoon & Fork
1480 El Camino Real, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
My favorite Thai restaurant in the area and its just gotten better! Authentic food and really nice service. The employees really go out of their way to be helpful. Some of the dishes can be made not spicy, but not all, so check with the restaurant if thats a concern for you. Our go-tos are pork larb (not spicy), pad see ew, green curry, tom yum soup, woonsen pad thai. The egg rolls are really yummy too and are totally worth the price...!The outdoor space has space heaters that work really really well! We were able to have a large party (4 adults and 8 kids!) seated outside despite it being a little windy and cold, and it worked great. It looks like a fast casual spot but they now offer dine-in service with nice looking tableware so its much nicer than one would expect of the venue, and its quite cozy inside especially with its holiday decorations!
Richards Prime Rib & Seafood
1609 E Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93701, United States
Hubs and I went to celebrate our 15yr anniversary. We wanted to do something different and because it was restaurant week, I wanted to go here to this Fresno iconic spot. how many times have you driven by but never stopped? Too many to count for myself.Anyways we were going to do the restaurant week special, but we saw the other dinner for 2 special. I wanted wine anyways, so this seemed like a better fit. Meal included garlic bread, shrimp cocktail, soup or salad(we got chowder and it was absolutely delicious), main course, and a glass of wine. We also nought sauteed mushrooms as mushrooms is something we both really like. This showed up after our bread. Mushrooms were really fantastic and Im glad we ordered it. everything else up to the main course had been good and we were enjoying ourselves. our waitress did take a while inbetween each time on checking on us...or we would tell her something and shed forget. We get our main course - squash, mashed potatoes, and prime rib for myself, hubs got the same.but chilli beans instead of squash.i start eating and notice a crack in the plate. but dont think anything of it. i dive into my squash and think, these are good.. hubs us enjoying his chilli.we get to our prime rib...i notice the crack isnt a crack. its hair. a dark piece of hair embedded with the juices from the prime rib. im partially blonde so its definitely not mine. hubs prime rib is over cooked. so while waiting a while....because we have no idea where our waitress is....we finally get her attention. we explain the situation. she takes them back. 5 minutes later she tells us they are out of prime rib. REALLY? we have no choice but to get another steak, a Ribeye. (Which imo is a downgrade, as we could have made this ourselves). We get a whole new plate.we finish our meal and by this time were defeated. i keep my mouth closed because im trying to have a good time...this is am experience in Fresno. but deep down im fuminghubs makes the comment, how are you known for prime rib yet run out??yea...thats how i felt.while eating dinner, the waitress never came back with hubbys ice tea that he asked for. he gets it after we are long done.We ask for our check and leave... defeated and saddened, upset by our experience. Was the food good? Definitely.Richards an iconic fresno establishment? yes.Would i go back? Probably not.
Sushi Kuu
1001 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
The Good:1) The waitress was very polite and refilled the tea quickly. The Bad: (restaurant in general)1) Tea was cold and weak.2) We waited a long time to get menus.3) We were never asked if we wanted a beverage when we finally got menus.4) It is very noisy inside. Nothing to dampen noise.5) The Veggie Tempura is not any extra veggies, but just the Mixed Tempura minus the two shrimps, so order the Shrimp Tempura and give the two shrimps to someone who wants it.6) Our 2 meals came out just under 15 minutes apart.7) There are no barriers between tables. The Ugly: (food quality and quantity)1) The Veggie Tempura was under-cooked, overly greasy, and cold.2) The Chicken Teriyaki had almost no teriyaki sauce, was rubbery, lots of gristle, and was under-cooked.3) The Miso Salmon wasnt very flavorful, was pretty small, and had negligible sauce.4) Where other places give 6 or 8 pieces of CA Roll in their Bento dinner, I only got 4.I very rarely write bad reviews, but Sushi Kuu is the worst place Ive been to in a very long time.
Totos Pizzeria & Restaurant
1250 El Camino Real b, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. I order here 2 weeks ago after work and they brought me a GREAT pizza (expensive) but delicious and i was 100% satisfied with my purchase. Well I call today and all 3 locations tell me that they do not deliver to the same exact location I previously had a pizza sent to. So I call back the original number back that I had called first, (it was saved in my phone from the first time ordering from them) and some punk kid tells me that they never delivered a pizza to me that night and gave me some lip about them not delivering to this location. talk about really crappy customer service. i work in this area and stay at a hotel around the corner from this place and would of been a weekly customer! but now I wouldnt eat here again if I was dying of starvation.
