Yerevan Steakhouse Armenian Kebab, BBQ, Sandwic...
5752 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601, United States
This is a very cute family-owned restaurant in North Hollywood. The family that owns this restaurant is very nice and provided me and my friends with some really great service. They also gave us a complementary dish of stuffed cabbages that the mother made... and it was really yummy. Two of my friends are vegan, So it was pretty cool to find that they offered a vegan lula kebab made with impossible meat. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the chicken and beef lula combo and found the flavors to be good. I did miss having some onions or grilled tomatoes though.I really loved their falafel!!You can tell this family really cares a lot about their restaurant and my lunch today there was pretty good.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I really loved there food. The waiter was very friendly. I asked if the seafood soup was very sour and he offered to have it made less sour. He even went out of his way to bring me a small sample of soup to make sure it was good.?
Delish Thai Kitchen
5231 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601, United States
Was disappointed, but I will give it a second try in the future. Ive had better Thai in other North Hollywood locations. The Chicken Satay was good, but Ive had much better at other locations. The chicken was tender and cooked very good, but the flavor was a bit lacking. Like the marinade needs more spice. The cucumber salad was a little boring. The peanut sauce was good. The Tom Kha Noodle soup was rich and very tasty, but the cheap lettuce and mushrooms cheapened it way too much for the price. Very expensive for the quality. And it had no noodles. It was full of veggies. Much more than most restaurants and the flavor was very good.I couldnt eat the Pad See Ew. Had to throw it out. Its one of my favorite dishes, but the bitter taste of the broccoli was so overwhelming that I couldnt eat it and I didnt eat any of the broccoli at all. Im used to the bitterness from this dish at other places, but Ive never had it where it was the prevailing and unavoidable flavor.
Ramen Izakaya NoHo
10829 Oxnard St, North Hollywood, CA 91606, United States
This place is a hidden gem - my wife and I were starving so I found this spot not to far away from an appointment we had, and we were blown away by the service, and the deliciousness of the food! The ramen was, no kidding, the best ramen Ive ever had. Now Ill be the first to tell you that Ive not had 100s of ramen before, but I do enjoy some ramen every once and a while. This ramen has given me a new craving that I will be coming back for to this spot and Ill also be bringing friends and family here as well. My wife loved her dish, and we both left full, happy and with smiles on our faces. The staff is so friendly, brought us our food timely, were so professional, were genuinely kind people and I wish other restaurants would copy their model of hospitality.Ill add that the night after we dined here we went to the NY Times Best restaurant in LA, a Thai spot that I wont mention the name of, and it was NOTHING in comparison to this place. If youre sitting in your car, starving, just go here, youll be glad you did!
La Vo Noodle & Thai Curry Pizza 2
8236 Coldwater Canyon Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91605, United States
I was having a conversation with some friends and we thought curry on pizza sounds like something that would be good so one quick Google search later, lo and behold we find a place named Thai Curry Pizza. It was meant to be.I got a medium Thai Curry Chicken Pizza and it was delicious. Its pretty much exactly what youd expect, a pizza with curry instead of red sauce and all the curry ingredients as toppings. The onions and bell peppers made everything taste super fresh and the dough was well made. Ill definitely be back to try some of their other interesting pizzas like the Tom Yum, Kra Pow, and italian garlic sauce pizzas.
NoHo Cafe
5964 Laurel Canyon Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91607, United States
This was everything I love in a restaurant. They were extremely generous, the family was super kind, the cafe was in an obscure spot that makes you think it’s part of a car wash at first glance, portions were huge, prices were low, service was extremely fast, and the food was great. I ordered a veggie garden, and it came with tons of great tasting food...not to mention it was vegan I think if you’re into that. The white rice was moist and tasty, and I don’t even normally eat rice. The pita bread was warm and fresh, and most importantly, they asked me if I wanted more while I was eating and gave me another piece for free. The hummus was fresh. The grape leaves tasted really good (never had em before so no point of comparison. The falafel was crispy and warm. And the free lentil soup was a really nice touch. Love this place. I can totally understand why they’re so highly rated on Yelp, which is the reason I originally went.
Thai Victory
11736 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, United States
My visit to Thai Victory in North Hollywood was truly a delightful experience. The restaurant not only lived up to its name but exceeded my expectations in terms of the quality of Thai cuisine they offer.I started my meal with a bowl of coconut soup, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The broth was rich and flavorful, infused with the perfect balance of coconut milk, lemongrass, and aromatic Thai spices. It was a warm and comforting way to begin the dining experience. For the main course, I tried their Pad Thai and Green Curry. The Pad Thai was a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and savory flavors, with perfectly cooked noodles and a generous serving of succulent shrimp. The Green Curry had a delightful balance of spiciness and creaminess, with tender chunks of chicken and an array of fresh vegetables. The flavors were authentic and left me craving for more.As a dessert lover, I couldn’t resist ordering their mango sticky rice. The presentation was as beautiful as it was delicious. The sweet, ripe mango was beautifully sliced and served alongside a mound of sticky rice drizzled with a sweet coconut sauce. It was a fantastic way to end the meal and left me with a satisfied and sweet taste lingering on my palate. The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. In summary, Thai Victory in North Hollywood is a gem for Thai food enthusiasts. The combination of authentic flavors, friendly service, and a warm ambiance makes it a must-visit spot for those looking for a Thai culinary adventure. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings.
Wat Thai of Los Angeles
8225 Coldwater Canyon Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91605, United States
I noticed this shiny colorful Buddhist temple when we drove down Roscoe Blvd towards the CA-170 one day. I pulled up my favorite foodie app and found them on Yelp with great reviews. I wonder whats the hype was about so I visited this holy temple last Saturday. Note that this temple consists of a few smaller ones. The big temple with two standing God statues is called the Yaksha Temple. Yaksha is the guardian of the hidden treasures. The details and colors of this Yaksha sculpture statues are impeccable. And anyone can go inside for worships and prayers.Behind this Yaksha Temple there was a small market with assorted food vendors selling Pad Thai, Mango Sticky Rice, Boat/Duck/Pork Noodles, Meat Satay/Skewers, Coconut Pancakes, Shaved Ice, Candied Fruit in Coconut Milk Dessert, Fried Banana/Taro/Sweet Potato and many more! Check out my delicious food pics for inspiration! If you enjoy noodles, youll love their taste-bud thrilling Thai noodle soups! Thai noodles are some of the most popular in the world, and when you taste them, youll know why. I picked the pork belly noodles because of the inner little piggy in me! It was very good! Heavenly good! The meat skewers (AKA satays) are prolific throughout the world. In LA, you can try them here for $2 each! What do you get when you add authentic, slow cooked coconut sticky rice and decadent coconut cream to some of the worlds most delicious mangoes? Youll get the scrumptuous Mango Sticky Rice treat youll absolutely love! Its something I would recommend to anyone!Have you ever wondered why Thai people eat mostly hot and spicy foods? Its because they have many delightful dairy desserts to cool them down! One of the most popular dessert is this Crispy Ruby (Red Water Chestnuts in Coconut Milk). Its mixed with jackfruit, tapioca and jelly for flavor enhancement. For me it was simply sweet (in a pleasant way), chewy and refreshing! If you like sweets, you must try it!We bought a bag of the beef jerky for $8. It was light, crispy and different. The guy who managed the stall was super nice, he gave us a deal and he accepted our credit card payment too.The last item I got and also the least item I like were the shaved ice. It tasted weird, plasticy, as if it was expired. We bought two at $3 each. It was so bad we had to throw them out. I hope the rest of the flavors are doable though. The ices were sold right next to the Strawberry Lemonade stand. The lady who served the lemonade was rude and cheap to us. She stuffed the cup with more ice than liquid. And she didnt even fill the cup to the max. I asked her politely, Can you please fill it up all the way? but she didnt like it and she yelled at me instead, it will spill out! For the sake of the temple, I didnt deduct 1-star for her behavior.Overall the food, the people and the energy here were amazing! As of last weekend, I was told they do this all day every Saturday and the best part is - its open to anyone. Everything was cheap, delicious and legit. All you need is to buy some tokens and eat eat eat!
Pupuseria & Restaurant Las Isletas
6801 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91605, United States
Yesterday I decided to go try the pupusas due to the good reviews and I must say in my opinion that the rice pupusas are delicious, although I am quite critical of the rice pupusas but in this place they are the best I have ever tried anywhere. All United States, the rice dough is soft like in the pupuserias of El Salvador, so I am quite satisfied with the flavor, I must say that I speak for the rice and revuelta pupusas since it was the only one I tried, something if not I liked it and I hope the owner takes note, the sauce is spicy, that was the only thing I didnt like since they didnt have a sauce that wasnt spicy, I feel like they should have both sauce options since not all of us are used to it. spicy.
