I tell you Thai food is amazing but this place it touched the bar. You know sometimes when youre traveling you dont really think how much your stomach grumbles you just scroll through all the Google food near you and you just start to get hungry. Well this restaurant really ended my hunger I ate and I ate and I ate it was so delicious. I ate plenty of pad thai and deep fried spring rolls it also the environment was so nice they had a picture of the monarch the king of Thailand on the wall he was decked out in his gold and had his army uniform on it was very amazing. The lady that served as she was very very nice I dont remember when someone was so nice when I ordered food it come to find out she was a only she took the orders and she also cooked the food. I mean simply amazing almost to the point I wanted to go to her actual village in Thailand to eat with her family just because she was so nice and her food was so delicious. People like this need six stars instead of five but unfortunately Google only gives you five. I look forward to eating here again on my wildest journeys through Los Angeles I mean Anaheim I cant wait to run into nice people to cook great Thai fried rice.

This place is not Viet ..I think its Cambodian-viet . Having said that, Its not bad. I ordered Pho and several other items togo to get a taste of how everything is done. The pho broth is alright, a little salty but not too bad. I ordered the small Pho Special, meat slices were too well done for my taste, and not enough. But then I am biased since my moms Pho s is catered to my taste. The place is bigger than most, service is quick and the place doesnt smell bad. One problem though ..no parking . All in all, I ll come back to try out more dishes.Later ...Got home ..checked my order ..the lady got my Togo order all wrong ...shud have checked b4 i left but I did repeat my order to the lady. Ate my Togo noodles (banh canh tom) and rice (com tam)..disappointed.. the highlight of the whole experience was the black beans boba..I kno ..if u didnt grow up with it ..a sweetened coconut black bean boba wud be weird ..but try it ..its very good..there are other dishes i want to try ..so I ll come back ..especially for the bobas and may be to try the crepes ( banh xeo) .Came back for eggroll apetizers a few days later and some battered fried bananas and boba..those were yummy ..the bobas are fresh since I ordered one for a friend but he didnt eat it till two days later ..still good ..eventhough the boba balls swelled up ..next time I ll ask for no boba in those desserts ..

When life gets busy with baby and work, we love using UberEATS to get food delivered.Today we tried Thai food from You & I Thai Cusine in Anaheim. We usually order more food so we'd have enough for at least 2 meals.* SaladLunch special comes with a side salad. The creamy white color dressing tastes sweet.* Spicy Wings (5) | $4.95With lunch special, you can add a side for discounted price.I picked Spicy Wings. The wings were fried. It wasn't spicy at all but came with a sweet chili sauce. The wings were a bit dry.* BBQ Spare Pork Ribs | $8.50BBQ Spare Pork Ribs was my favorite dish today. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. It was very flavorful. It came with fried sticky rice. It was a tasty dish.* Green Curry Chicken | $8.25Green curry chicken was on the sweeter side.I love curry with rice.* Spicy Basil Leaves Beef |$7.95The beef in Spicy Basil Leaves Beef was very tough and hard to swallow. The flavor was good. Wish the beef was tender.* Pad Thai | $8.25I got the Pad Thai with beef. Again the beef was tough. The pad thai was just ok.

Had lunch here with my friend ..he had chicken pho..I got the beef pho..I must preface ..I m very critical of Pho since well ..I think my moms pho is the best ....our orders came pretty quick. The broth is not too bad, the noodles were cooked right ..one complaint I have ..is I only had four extremely thin slices of beef...my friend loved his chicken pho. I thought mine was ok. There is the fried bread (gio chao quay) bread which is more Chinese and pho is strictly Viet, that you can eat. I didnt order that bread cuz well thats what is eaten with rice porridge not pho. Anyways, service was quick, efficient, if you dont have a mom that make u Pho once a month ..then yeah...also ..no parking so park on the street. This place only have pho on the menu..dif versions of it no rice..no stir fry no beef broccoli ......just pho.Came back today ..what happened ? Even worse Salty ..salty ..salty ...tiny 2 chopstickfull of noodles ..i asked for extra meat ...and I only got 4 pieces of meat ..yes I counted ...walked out wit my lips cracked and dry ...too too salty ..every one was eating it with the fried bread ..no wonder ..its to lessen the saltiness...there were mostly regulars ..and I doubt if anybody them had tasted real home made pho ever ...i was too generous last visit ..but this time ...no...dont come here unless you want to fill yourself up with gallons of water afterward. I can literally feel my blood pressure rising ...did even ..could not even finish a small bowl.

Catfished by a pirate bar.The appetizers are called Underway and we were on our way to a disaster or a meal.I spent the last two years wanting to eat here for my birthday. We tried to go last year but health issues kept us away.I made reservations for the captains quarters (this small four person table is in a corner in the back but is quieter than the front tables). We had a few mixed drinks and champagne. I understand making money off of your mixed drinks (we own a bar), but this is a little ridiculous. There was maybe 8 oz of total liquid in this very large cup with tons of ice. Four big sips and it was gone. My husband had a sample of their in house rum, since they dont carry any brand rums (Captain, Sailors, etc.) It tasted nothing like rum. It almost tasted like a white corn whiskey. No molasses taste, just tons of ethanol tastes.Appetizer : Chicken wontonSuper small portion, very spicey and pretty presentationStir-Fried with steak:Noodles were good but steak was very dry and we didnt eat most of itPan Roasted Hainan Chicken & Rice:This is an airline breast (which means a breast with leg attached) but it looked and tasted like airline food. Looks boiled, no salt, pepper or any seasoning. It was possibly the worst chicken Ive had from a nice restaurant.Loco Moco Burger:Burger was large, fries were goodGrilled Swordfish:Cooked well, no fishy taste, portion was small but out of all of the things we ordered this was the best. Even at that it was not an amazing plate.I feel so disappointed since Ive waited so long to come here and I came here for my birthday. It is very pretty inside even if the pictures on instagram are heavily filtered. The food was just one disappointment after another. I really cant believe how bad it was. I spent so much time reading reviews and looking at pictures online. Someone needs to reexamine the menu. I heard the waiter tell the table next to us they had 30 minutes, I cant imagine spending this kind of money and having a clock ticking. By the time it was over I didnt even care about taking pictures of the inside like I wanted too when planning.

My friend and I went to the Cookie Convention this weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center and my co-worker recommended to try this place, The Packing House. It has a Grand Central Market (in Downtown LA) feel to it but it looks super trendy inside. It was really cool! It has two stories to it and theres food vendors all over. The food in this place varied from Indian to Vietnamese to Seafood and much more! On top of actual meals they had dessert! They had scoops of ice cream, tons of crepes, and a Pop bar, where you could customize your own popsicle! My friend and I went to Mini Monster which is a boba and tea place on the upper floor that is known for their Lightbulb shaped bottles with cotton candy wrapped around the top with the occasional fruity pebbles. I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea ($4.35) in a 32 oz Mason Jar (+$2.15) that comes with two choices of lids. You could choose from a lid with a straw hole that had bear ears on it or a standard twist on/off lid (what I chose even though the other one was really cute). My friend ordered the Sunset Strawberry Lemonade ($4.25) with the 27oz Light Bulb Bottle (+$2.70) which came with one type of lid. I really enjoyed both because they were really refreshing and they were surprisingly inexpensive. You are also encouraged to come back with your bottle to get a refill for the price of the tea, which I like a lot considering its sustainable! They also do offer a regular plastic cup thats 24 oz at no extra cost. There are other locations for this place as well and I recommend it for sure if the prices are around the same at other locations as well.We ate at Sawleaf Vietnamese Cafe. They had Pho, Bahn Mi, Salads and small bite items. I ordered the Deluxe Filet Mignon Pho with Roasted Garlic Broth that came with a garnish basket on the side (Small-$10.95). The garnish basket came with lettuce, bean sprouts, basil, a line and slices of jalapeño (I added everything but the jalapeños to my Pho). I also ordered a side of Chicken Egg Rolls (on the menu it says $5.95 but I was only charged $5) that comes with a side of sweet & sour sauce. My friend ordered the Spicy Shrimp Pho that came with a garnish basket as well that wasnt super spicy but it does give you a small kick of spiciness ($10.95). The broth was good but it only came with about 3 shrimp. She too added everything in her garnish basket. We requested extra limes for our Pho which changed the flavor making it slightly better. In my opinion, mine could have used more garlic but it was good for my first time there.I would definitely recommend this whole place if you are in the area, whether youre visiting Disneyland and want to eat somewhere cheap and not too far from the park or your doing your own thing in the area. Theres cute swing chairs you can sit on and possibly take cute photos on if they arent already occupied. If you go, have fun and save some space for dessert because I didnt and I wish I could have!
Monorom Cambodian Restaurant
2150 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90804, United States
While driving around the local area our usual stop is Phnom Penh Noodle Shack, we found this spot and decided to check it out. Phnom Penh was super packed and we didnt want to wait.Monorom had one table occupied when we came in. We were greeted by a young man who welcomed us with a cheerful attitude.Offered us a choice of their specialty drinks. My wife got their Cambodian style ice coffee, kiddo got Thai iced tea, and I got their fresh coconut ? water. For starters we got their spring rolls which came with shrimp ? and their homemade fish sauce. My wife ordered their red curry noodles which had chicken, kiddo ordered their Phad Thai, and I ordered their Duck Noodle soup with large rice noodles.?Everything was delicious and I thought their broth for the duck noodle soup tasted even better than Phnom Penhs bone broth ??Our server suggested their Chinese donuts which usually pairs well with soups or congee. Sure enough said suggestion was a great one, for their donuts had a better quality in texture and taste than the other popular competitive restaurant. We may be coming back here for Cambodian cuisine.Place was clean, organized, and service was excellent. So if youre in the mood for some awesome Cambodian cuisine, stop by and please check out their menu and order up some food!We will definitely will be back to sample more items on the menu ?
Esan Restaurant
1719 W La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801, United States
Without Yelp and word of mouth, how many people would have walked into this building in Anaheim without an English sign and expected to find the best Thai and Lao food in town? Definitely not me.This place is somewhat of a hole in the wall. When approaching this restaurant, look for bright green squigly Thai characters on the window. There are two options when you step in, pick from the steam table with over a dozen options, or sit down and select made-to-order Thai rice, salad, or noodle dishes from the menu.I noticed that Rod-Sap has numerous specialties on the board, such as homemade Lao sausage, Isaan pork jerky, papaya salad Lao-style with crab and fermented fish sauce, nam khao tod, and kao piek. There are more specials on the weekends. I really wanted to try items from the special menu but since I was in a hurry, I chose three items from the express table.Gaeng Kiaw Wan - This was one of the most bold green curries Ive ever had. It came loaded with boneless chicken, tender eggplants, and bamboo shoots in a thin sauce. The curry had more of a soupy consistency compared to the thick nature of curries, so it was easy to soak into rice. Rod-Saps green curry contains some Thai chili for subtle heat and a generous amount of galangal and lemongrass for sour notes. Whoever prepared it did not have a heavy hand with the application of coconut milk, so there was a very delicate balance between sour, sweet, and spicy flavors.Pla Duk Sod Pad Ped - I am a seafood fan so I ordered a serving of catfish cooked in red curry paste. Although the fish was complemented with almost the same ingredients as the green curry, the red curry paste was much more mild compared to the green curry. This catfish dish yielded a large collection of bones and was a little too dry in my opinion, I thought that it could use more sauce to enhance flavor.Gaeng Naw Mai - When a grandma brings out a fresh pot of homemade Laotian soup, makes eye contact, and winks, I knew I had to try it, despite warnings from the server about how exotic the soup would be. Ive had sour Thai soup before from Isaan Station and LaCha Somtum, but turns out none were as explosively pungent as the preserved bamboo shoot soup from E-San. The soup itself was significantly more briny and fishy than spicy, and I could taste some flavors of pepper (enough to make you cough) and fermented fish sauce (enough to make your lips pucker). The bamboo shoots were a little bitter, but the baby corn and black mushroom toppings were manageable for my Chinese palate. This soup is definitely an acquired taste for people not familiar with Laotian cuisine, and not for the faint of heart.Rod-Sap is definitely a hidden gem in Anaheim for authentic Thai and Lao food. Customers can order as basic as Tom Yum Goong and Pad Thai, or for the more open-minded eaters, go for the authentic Lao house specialties listed on the chalkboard. The prices are very reasonable, most items cost $7 and under and a 3 item combo from the steam table is only $6.50. I cant wait to try the Isaan and Laotian dishes cooked by a grandma the next time I return.
Seasons Kitchen USA
641 N Euclid St, Anaheim, CA 92801, United States
A little seasoning goes a long way.Kalimantan cuisine is sadly underrepresented, in my humble opinion. The bright, fresh flavors and tantalizing herbs are a treat for the palate. Thusly, Seasons Kitchen USA has been bookmarked by me for a long time. In Anaheim for the OC Green Expo, I took a quick drive from Center Street Promenade to Seasons Kitchen USA to see what theyre all about.Glancing through their robust menu, my eyes spotted curry laksa. Laksa mee is my favorite bowl of soup in the world. Ive only had it at two other restaurants, previously, so I cant say Im an aficionado, but when I saw Seasons Kitchen USA has curry laksa Fri-Sun only, I knew I found my pick.Curry laksa-Soups on! Differing from other bowls of laksa Ive had before, this had a very thick broth, which had little to no coconut milk that I could spot. The creaminess of coconut milk is what sets apart laksa from other Asian soup for me. Also, Seasons Kitchens laksa is prepared with flat rice noodles. I much prefer ramen noodles (house-made, even better) for the chewy mouth feel. The rest of the ingredients were quality. The chicken was super tender. I can say I enjoyed my bowl of curry laksa. Unique from what Ive had before & from what I was expecting, but good. I find I still enjoy laksa mee made with ramen noodles, shrimp & coconut milk, moreso, though. The popular menu items at Seasons Kitchen seem to be their Hainan chicken, pork char siu & bak kut teh. Ill have to order those next time.Service was fine. Seasons Kitchen seems to be a fast casual eatery. I didnt wait very long for my order to come out. A good amount of tables for seating, I wouldnt recommend very large groups.Parking is at the 99 Ranch Market plaza, which can be quite hard to come during the weekends.Seasons Kitchen USA, Im a fan! Their mouth-watering menu, especially the pork char siu, has me salivating for a return visit soon. Im also fond of the free ukulele & guitar lessons every Tues 6pm - 8pm. I can tell the establishment is run with love and I could use a Michael Jackson (grass jelly, coconut & soy milk) right now.Highly recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
Win Thai Cuisine Restaurant

Win Thai is my FAVORITE Thai restaurant in Orange County. Im Vietnamese (and from NYC) and love Thai food but I find that most Thai restaurants in the US (including some even in NYC) produce bland concoctions that bear no resemblance to real Thai food.Win Thai is different - their cooking is very home-cooked tasting and fresh. I LOVE their cashew chicken (which I order with spinach or broccoli for an extra $1), but have also enjoyed several other dishes from their large menu (most items are under $10), including their pad thai and their wonderful seafood and mixed veggies dish. I like my food spicy (Southeast Asian spicy), but my husband prefers his food less so. I like that Win Thai can cook hot, hot, hot dishes not so hot (to accommodate my husbands taste buds) but still yummy and not lacking any of the flavor that I associate with real Thai food. The staff are friendly and the booths are big and comfortable even if the decor is somewhat hole-in-the-wall-ish. But even the unexciting decor is fine with me, so long as the delicious food keeps on coming.
