Man Chan is popular for their Hainan chicken, but what made me confused was that it is located really close to another popular Hainan Chicken restaurant. However, my dad and I opted to go to Man Chan because he had been to its other location in the SGV. I do think it was worth a trip out to Rowland Heights! The restaurant itself is very small and more of an L-shaped sitting area. There are a few tables in the front section, and a few more located along a more narrow corridor in the side. The tables and walls are decorated with pretty interesting designs, and the lighting is a little dim.My dad ordered their Hainan Chicken rice while I tried their Tom Yum chicken noodle soup. The dishes come with a free bowl of soup. I really liked everything that I ate - the Hainan Chicken was better than Savoy, in my opinion. Very good tasting rice that had flavor and wasnt too soft nor too hard. The chicken was succulent and tasty, and the sauces gave it a little extra kick. My Tom Yum chicken noodle soup was really good as well. The soup was not too spicy - but did have a kick as well as a tanginess to it. I really liked the thick rice noodles. The chicken wasnt as great as my dads Hainan chicken because it was just big chunks of meat that werent as flavorful. But the overall taste of the soup helped give the chicken more of the soups flavor, which was good.Prices were decent and the service was good. I would return if I was in the area.

I obviously had called and ordered Japanese pork chop rice at around 11:40, but at around 12:00, I didnt make Japanese pork chop rice. As a result, I wasted an extra ten minutes waiting. To make Japanese pork chop rice, don't you know that it takes 20 minutes to drive on the expressway twice? Im too lazy to get angry and just give it one star. Its so annoying. This meal is so fucking expensive and not worth it. So what if its delicious? Time is money. Guess how much time is left to eat after returning to the company, 25 minutes... No matter how delicious the food is, it will taste unpalatable!PS: The waitress who answered the phone and served us was the same waitress who spoke Cantonese accent and seemed very casual. She threw the receipt away without taking the initiative to bring it to me. I asked why not give it to me? Answer me, many customers don't want it. If you want it, I'll give it to you. Then pick it up and give it to me. It's really yours! You made the decision for me, do you think you are my boss? Normally, you should offer it proactively and throw it away only if the customer doesn't want it, okay? Speechless.

This is absolutely disgusting and absurd. Imagine buying meat; and the inedible parts of the fat etc are HEAVIER than the actual meat. What a rip off. I just made a horrible decision, and I hope that everyone else avoids this. The pork intestines is $5.88 per pound, though that's not the point here. When I was buying it, the seller told me that there weren't much or any fat inside. You can't necessarily tell just by looking; not the customers who don't get to check it first hand. Trusting the seller's words, I decided to buy 3 pounds of it. After getting hope and ripping through the disgusting and ill, inedible fat/grease (not only is it disgusting, it also took a very long time). The whole fat in total is heavier than the overall amount of edible meat. The fat is 1.8 lbs out of the 3 lbs. Keep in mind that they basically sold their customers inedible fat for money. Never am I making this same mistake EVER again, and I hope to help everyone else avoid this mistake.
