Baan Thai Restaurant
424 Larkfield Center #1408, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, United States
This was the ABSOLUTELY of the BEST pad thai dishes I have ever eaten in sonoma county, and in general and FYI i grew up eating and still do eat thai quite often ( just look at my other reviews). I can understand why other people rate this restaurant low- if you want to eat out for an experience this may not be the place, it is small, dim, hot and the adorable little old lady who took my order does not speak fluent English.. BUT WHOTF CARES!? its the food, its all about the food, and has always been about the food when i rate a restaurant (unless the staff are rude or place is gross[luncheon]). now I have only eaten the one dish here but I would bet the farm its all as good, and it came with a splash of tom kha kai (coconut milk soup) that wasnt too sweet (for once) & was D lish, with broccoli? yum. get it to go, and leave a nice tip. the grandmom & pop will appreciate your business and cook you a wonderful meal.

I have been here before and if I could give the service zero rating, I seriously would. When we got there, we got sat by the host a little bit over in the corner because we were with our three kids.. The restaurant probably had about 3-4 tables eating inside and one table outside at the time we got there. After we were greeted with waters by the busser, me and my two girls went to use the restroom and wash our hands. It obviously took a while because I have a seven-year-old and a toddler, but when I came back, my husband was standing, and I asked him what was going on. He said that no one had came to greet him yet, and he was trying to still put our drink orders in.My husband had to get up again to grab the host to ask her to get our server since the bartender kept ignoring him.We finally got our orders in.. Our food comes out before our drinks, and my husband asks the food runner if she could please check on our drinks she turns her back to my husband and walks away as she's nodding her head and then I see her roll her eyes. I had to make eye contact with the bartender to get his attention, and he was the one to go see that our drinks were still sitting there, and he brought them over to us.At this point, the restaurant is dead and there is no one at the bar.About 10 minutes in after we got our food the server decides to come and check on us and ask how everything is going we said fine and he checked on us towards the end of us being done with our food, and we asked for our bill.. at this point, my husband and I were just over it and just trying to finish and get through dinner. Here's the kicker: After my husband paid the bill, he would not leave our area and he kept circling our table to ensure his tip. It was the most infuriating and obnoxious experience of my life.We eat out a lot, and we are generous tippers, but the fact that we got that much attention after we were already done and paid was just maddening. The staff was just talking and hanging out because I am assuming in their mind it's not busy but we are still paying customers and this service was terrible. This is the servers name -Taechaphan JNever going back to this place. Sea Noodle Bar, ALL THE WAY!!

Lees Noodle House

Excellent food. Potstickers are delicious. Beef with green onion and rice noodle, and, beef and shrimp with noodle both had very good flavour. I couldnt eat all of mine, because I already ate crispy spring rolls and potstickers. Took home an order of pork fried rice, beef and brocoli and mixed vegtables. Cant wait for dinner. I would definitely go back. The only thing that wasnt great was that the salt and pepper shaker were actually the little Mortons picnic cardboard containers with the white plastic lids. The tops of each were grimy from food particles. To be fair, I did take them off a recently vacated adjacent table, and, IS possible that all that grease and crispy debtors on top COULD have all come from the person who was eating there. Maybe if I had asked for salt and pepper shakers, I would have been brought clean ones. All in all, food was excellent, prices were fair. We will go back.

I had been eyeing this place for months when I would pass it by on the bus. The location is quite ideal. Its in a little outlet area with other places to eat like Wingstop, Mombo's pizza, and Subway. There's even a barber shop and a college campus market. It's right across the street from the Santa Rosa Jr. College. It's definitely in a spot surrounded by life. My friend and I both enjoyed our meals very much. The menu was really easy to read as they have a large printed one on the front windows of their building. My friend had gotten the 1. The curry chicken udon and I got the 15. Beef Yaki Udon. It was so tasty! The only comment my friend had about the curry dish was to cook the carrots a little bit longer as they were crunchier than expected. The Beef Udon had a lot of veggies. Another note I had was more about the interior. Installing a large mirror at the end of the wall and above the last table I think would create an effect of making the place look larger. I wouldn't explain the service as a typical American restaurant where you sit down and they take your order. You get a tray and order at the register in the front and then you choose your table and sit down. Even when you are finished with your meal you get up and put it at the window for the dishwasher to take. There was a woman at the register I wish I got her name, but she was very nice and had a warm energy to her. I also like how the workers don't rush you out the door and actually let you take time with your meal. I had asked a friendly customer enjoying their meal for their opinion on this place and they had said they get something different every time they go there and it all tastes good. They even travel 30 minutes just to eat at this place. The parking lot can be busy at times, but there is still enough spaces for people hanging out there. It is handicapped accessible and kid friendly. I am an Asian food lover and this is now considered one of my favorite places to eat! It is a little pricey for only 2 people, but the quality wins on this one. If you're craving for Asian gourmet food with lots of quality, go eat there!——————————————————————————I disliked their teriyaki chicken donburi. The rice tasted rubbery and the chicken tasted like they warmed it up in the microwave.
