Hungry Bear Restaurant
1313 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802, United States
Ive eaten here a few times over the years, but most recently we booked a Hungry Bear fantasmic package, so this review will be for that. In general, Hungry Bear is one the cheaper and quicker options for a more filling meal that wont break your wallet. Theres nice outdoor seating that overlooks the water and plenty of options for kids.In regards to the Fantasmic package, Im going to have to say that it wasnt worth it for us. I booked it a few weeks in advance. If you want to book one of these packages, whether its here or Blue Bayou, get it ASAP. I was surprised to see all three packages offered only two weeks out from when we were visiting. If youre going over a holiday or generally busy time, get it as soon as you can because these packages will and do sell out.Hungry Bear is the cheapest package they offer, and thats because the food is pretty mediocre. You get a TV dinner type tray and have a few options to pick from, one being vegetarian (not vegan). My wife got the chicken tray and I had the sloppy joe. If you dont like any of the offerings, you can get a cheeseburger instead. With the trays, you get a drink of your choice, a side and dessert that are preselected. So mine came with a brownie and broccoli. You can pick from soda, hot chocolate, coffee or tea as your drinks. I got the hot chocolate, which was actually quite good and very warm. It was super cold out, so that was the best choice imo lolThe sloppy joe was alright, not great. Its good for what it is and something Id normally eat but not worth it for the steep price of $35 per tray. If youre getting this package though, we all know youre doing it for the ticket and not because you expect some five course over the top meal. If you want excellent food, Blue Bayou is the better option. My wife said the chicken wasnt great. It was dry, mostly bone, and you couldnt taste the sauce on it.I dont think the spots you get with the tickets are worth it either. What I didnt realize is that youre required to sit on the ground and if youre at the railings, they block your view of the show. So even though you can show up 45 minutes or whatever it is before the show, Id say its better to sit as far back as you can so you can actually see. Regardless having that spot for the show was nice, but I wouldnt do it again. Id rather take my chances and show up early without buying a dining package.
Thuyn Vin Vegetarian Restaurant
1740 S Euclid St, Anaheim, CA 92802, United States
I tried this place a couple of times in last two months. Every time its amazing. The food is so fresh The boy who served there and the gentleman who is the owner behind the counter are very helpful. They always answer and serve with smile. I tried a few dishes to see if one is better than another but I was wrong everything is amazing. You can smell and see the freshness of the food as soon as its served. The spice levels are adjusted just as you want. Event with my family and we ordered two different spice levels but trust me it was spot on. The veggies they serve with appetizers its so fresh. I have tried lot of places before this place but after my first visit I stopped going to other places. They have a pretty good menu which is not very big but enough options for excellent dinner or lunch. If you guys dont trust me go try this place once and you will know what Im talking about. I want to give them 100 stars but I know people are going to say Im partial. So I say five stars in everything. Thank you so much I feel lucky that I found this place because its not that visible. Its a hidden gem on Euclid and katella Street. Whenever I go to Anaheim its very difficult to not eat at this place. ??
Smokejumpers Grill
1313 Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 92802, United States
Smokejumpers Grill offers the most innovative vegetarian sandwich at Disneys California Adventure. A trip to this counter service bar-b-cue restaurant is a fun jaunt into an imagined para-firefighter barracks in northern California. The theming is immersive and fun but the real star here is the food. While the Jackfruit BBQ sandwich was big on flavor it was very wet and suffered from structural issues from the first bite. The real star of Smokejumpers is their Smore. Chocolate covered graham crackers, an oversized artisan marshmallow and a logo printed white chocolate disk make this a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. It is messy... very messy but embrace it. So use your hands, get messy and lick your fingers clean, it is Disneyland after all.

My partner and I decided to order a quick grab & go after our workout. We wanted to find something healthy. It was around 10pm, and we found this ghost kitchen that served many foods from different restaurants.Parking: This ghost kitchen is located in a lot. It looks a bit sketchy, but fear not. Free parking, but finding a spot can be difficult. It's super busy, and I noticed there were a lot of food delivery workers going in n out.Environment: It's a very small space. No dine in. There are lockers to the right where you'd pick up your food when it's ready. We didn't place an order online, so we ordered through the kiosk. I don't think they take cash. Everything seems contactless.Service: We didn't speak to anyone. It was self order, and we waited for our food. We were texted when our order was ready. Throughput was under 10 minutes. What we ordered: I ordered the chicken rice & cabbage bowl, and my partner ordered the protein lover rice & cabbage bowl and a coconut green smoothie. I really liked my bowl! The multi grain rice paired well with all the toppings, chicken, and sauce. The cabbage was fresh and not soggy. Careful for the sesame seeds, it might get stuck to your teeth lol. I'd prefer a bit more chicken, but other than that, I enjoyed it. I also tried my partner's bowl. His bowl definitely had a lot of protein! It was all delicious! The toppings were similar to my bowl. I did not try his coconut green smoothie bc I don't like coconut, but I'm assuming he liked it since it was gone in 5 seconds.Pricing: The chicken rice & cabbage bowl was $11.95, the protein lover rice & cabbage bowl was $15.65, and the coconut green smoothie was $5.95. I'd say it's worth its price. The bowls left us fulfilling, and we enjoyed everything.

My friend, Drew, pointed out that they have the same soup that is served over at the Gumbo place in New Orleans Square, without the wait. They have gumbo, clam chowder, and broccoli cheese in bread boules! They also have salads, salmon or steak to be exact. The only thing they dont have are those yummy fritters, but then you can wait in line over at the other place for that. An extra half star for absolutely 0 wait. The broccoli cheese boule hits the spot too. I enjoyed my steak salad which is sliced thin like roast beef. Drew recommended the salmon salad. For $9.99, it was pretty good and healthy to boot. They take the Disney AP discount.
Masala Curry Indian Cuisine
5655 E La Palma Ave Suite 155, Anaheim, CA 92807, United States
What a hidden gem this place is! Masala Curry can accommodate EVERYONE in your party because they have offerings for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. As a vegan, it is sometimes difficult to find a place my husband and I can both eat well, one of us usually suffers from lack of options...but not anymore! We visited today for my birthday lunch and were blown away by how fresh and delicious everything was! There was a very nice selection of tasty dishes in the buffet, and while I cant eat near enough to take advantage of an all you can eat buffet, I really enjoyed the fact that we could try SO many of their curries in one shot. Do you like naan? Their garlic naan is OUTSTANDING, best Ive ever had.My husband had only ever had Indian food once before, and he LOVED it (the Chicken Tikka Masala REALLY impressed him) and said this was our new favorite restaurant to visit on busy nights when theres no time to make dinner. YAY!! I love Indian food and am ecstatic to have found this unassuming little place.Fast and nice service, as a matter of fact, I told the owner (?) Anoo it was our first time there and he went to the back and whipped me up a little treat of spiced potatoes that were not on the menu. Who does that?? I havent been this thrilled with a restaurant and its customer service in years, maybe decades. Everything was SO fresh and SO delicious, and did I mention the garlic naan??? I cant wait to go back and eat there again. Thanks Anoo for an excellent experience.

Ph Place Noodle & Rice, Anaheim
511 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim, CA 92804, United States
So I left a review on Yelp (copied and pasted below) and I received the following responses from the server, Kevin N,, and his wife, Tiffani:Kevin N. Wrote: get a life loser! If you want the lunch for free just go ahead and ask the cashier. Dont try to bullshit the place and say the lunch should be free.Wife, Tiffani, wrote: you are suck a loser for real lmao. I am not even sure what it means, but ok...lolWhat kind of business would argue with their customer let alone call their customer a loser? Such a horrible business practice.Short version: Unprofessional staff and horrible service. I had to cancel my order as I waited over 40mins but my order wasnt ready. No apology from the server.Long version: I came here for lunch (1st time) with two co-workers. I ordered stir-fried noodle with seafood; co-workers ordered pho. We also ordered some rolls to share. Pho came out within less than 5mins. I waited patiently for my stir-fried noodles. About 20 mins later, I gently reminded the server regarding the missing appetizer and the stir-fried noodle. Server said Ill check No apology from the server. I waited for another 15-20mins, still no appetizer & no stir-fried noodle. My colleagues were just finishing up their pho. I called the server over to cancel the order. He said, they are making it. No apology, again. I said, I dont have much time left as I am on my lunch break. So, we finished and went up to the cashiers to pay. We told her about not receiving our order. She apologized. Colleagues paid for their meals and I left with an empty stomach. My colleagues lunch shouldve been comped if these people actually know how to run a business. If the server even had a sense of what customer service means, he would have said something along the line Im sorry that your food is taking so long to prepare. We just opened up the kitchen is trying their best to perfect your meal. Anything long those statements then it would have been acceptable. But, no, he didnt say anything along that line and called me a loser on Yelp. Super shocking but funny. I have never had such experience.I will not return and hope they will improve management skills.Responding to owners comment:The one star isnt about me not getting food. It is about how you guys handled the issue. I wish I could give you guys a negative five stars for Kevins unprofessional comment. If you want to earn my business again, youre going to have to fire that Kevin N. guy. Hes going to ruin your business, unless Kevin is the owner. In that case, I would recommend the owner taking some management classes with the emphasis on customer service. :)
Radhe Sweets and Catering
Ste I-J, 3070 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92804, United States
Good Gujarati Indian food. Awesome. Great taste. Pure Vegetarian restaurant. (Request for vegan and gluten free, and they will do the needful). Tucked away in a small strip mall, with enough parking but I go there often. Staff especially Chetan Bhai is very helpful and friendly. Their Undhiyu is the best I have ever had, but you can’t go wrong with most of their items on their menu ( variety of South Indian, Indian-Chinese and Gujarati).
Sahara Falafel
590 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim, CA 92804, United States
Chili fries. No this place does NOT serve chili fries, but thats what we were looking for. We had ventured out for chili fries, but we ended up finding this place. We had the best tasting food from a small authentic feeling restaurant. I would imagine it would be the equivalent to the authenticity one would find in their favorite local taco shop. The staff was very friendly and upfront, they recommended the lamb sandwich and advised it would take 20 min to make but would be worth the wait. However we decided to have the chicken and beef sandwiches (which also came highly recommended)with 4 falafel, and some of their house made baklava. In a word, Amazing. Will definitely back for a plate with the lamb next time. The food came quickly and included some really good sauce on the side to be honest it was 2 different ones and believe sour cream of.some sort.. The menu had a great mix of foods available, the cool part is this place had quite a few vegetarian options as well.
