Olivia Restaurant
205 S Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004, United States
A real beautiful cut in the ever growing jungle that is Koreatown. Chef Mario Alberto is trying to create a comprehensible language from culinary Angeleno tidbits that have never been put quite together by anyone.Anybody can open up a place in LA with the aim of being the best places come and go, but shooting stars arent as rare as wed like to think.. its the ones that are methodically putting their foot on the gas pedal and humbly constructing THE constellation of Los Angeles that get to cement themselves on the forefront of what is to be considered this citys trademark cuisine.Olivia is one of those places.Although it still feels like its in the middle of its genesis stage, you can feel the vibrancy that exudes from the minds that are behind it all.. like a weaponized manuscript of sheer hunger and love. One can easily feel the tremendously genuine native Angeleno touch with the construct of each dish. A true all around sensory delight. From its warm decor to its beyond accommodating and kind staff. This place is important.Seriously cant wait to see its growth.
Anar Indian Restaurant Order Food Online
1807 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, United States
I thought the food was awesome! We went on a Monday around lunch time and it wasnt busy at all. We got our food quickly. They make it easy for vegetarians/vegans and label what Id vegan or vegetarian. I got the okra dish. So amazing, never had okra before and the dish was perfectly spiced. Like most Indian restaurants, the food is served family style (in a large dish and you serve it onto you plate). I just wish I had a great Indian restaurant like this is San Diego!
Chef Arango Indian Restaurant
4506 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90019, United States
SUPERB!I’m an expat from the UK, and I’ve really struggled to find a good Indian restaurant/curry house in Los Angeles. My search is now over - Chef Arango is simply excellent. We ordered vegetarian since it’s our preference - they are very generous with the servings, the naans are beautiful, the onion bhajis are crisp and flavourful, the samosas are the nice big kind (not the little flat sort), and a nice selection of sundries comes with an order. The curries we got were paneer tikka masala, and matar paneer: both were SO good, deliciously rich and warming, with a nice spicy kick.Would recommend to anyone who is missing good Indian food, or anyone who is curious to try the king of cuisines!
Lemonade Restaurant
626 N Larchmont Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90004, United States
Hmm...Im still trying to make my mind up about this place...Pros:-variety of different foods (cafeteria style) that you can try (premade salads, sandwiches, hot meal items, variety of lemonades)- pretty good mac and cheese, and lemonadeCons:- small portions and way too expensive- this particular location had some seriously sassy employees who were not too kind nor willing to answer questions (esp since I had never been to a lemonade before and had NOOO idea what was going on with their portion menu)- parking in Larchmont is a challenge!!! This lemonade does not have its own real designated parking.I dunno - i wasnt expecting a lot of premade salads...most of the things they were offering in the portion section of their place was like food I could get at wholefoods. I ended up getting a 3 portion option with orrechiette and tomato pesto, blt panzanella salad, and pineapple chicken and green beans. I also got a small mac and cheese and a cucumber mint lemonade. The lemonade was really refreshing and the mac n cheese was pretty good but everything else just felt sub par.I wouldnt necessarily seek out a lemonade again, but I also wouldnt avoid going. I guess if I was in the area and I was jonesing for a fresh drink, Id stop by.
Lemonade Restaurant
505 Flower St, Los Angeles, CA 90071, United States
It is in the below grade food court at the corner of 6th and Flower. The place is nice and clean and the staff friendly enough and the price is reasonable for the location. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Mozzarella Sandwich and had a classic lemonade. The chicken was soft and tender but basically tasteless. The pesto also had a very week flavor. Same with the lettuce and tomato, nothing to complain about but no real flavor to speak of. The bread was fresh and good quality but overall the sandwich was flavorless, good enough to finish but not to order again. I was more disappointed in the lemonade, which is the namesake of the establishment. It did not have go good lemon flavor, it tasted like sour sugar water. Nothing really wrong about the place but nothing special about it to make me want to come back again.
Lemonade Restaurant
250 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States
It was a warm summer day and we had just gone through the drab MOCA experience (side note: not worth the $15/person price tag with how depressing the current offering is (as of June 23, 2017)) and wanted something refreshing to eat and drink.First impressionsThe first thing that struck me when I walked in was how everything sold at this place was pre-made and looked like various combinations of mush, noodles, and other vegan-esque offerings. All of the food looked pre-digested but some very large macarons caught my eye and we wanted to try the titular lemonade.LemonadeThe lemonade was standard fare, reasonably tasty, somewhat overpriced, and not particularly noteworthy.Macaron-strositiesThe macarons were a different story. There were three flavors: caramel, pistachio, and strawberry. Im a huge macaron nut so I wanted to try all three flavors. These things were $4 or $5 each and at least 4 inches in diameter. The protective papers we were given made no difference as each macaron-strosity disintegrated immediately, erupting cream all over our hands. The strawberry macaron was a tad too sweet but otherwise alright. The pistachio and caramel macarons on the other hand made the stickiness on our hands even more unwelcome when we realized how over-salted their creams were. It seemed like someone heard that salted caramel is a delicious trend so each worker separately added two tablespoons of granulated salt into the cream mix. The head worker must have wanted to save costs so he made the executive decision to reuse this salt crime with the pistachio macarons. Last but not least, the salt cream tasted very old and refrigerated as if the staff had compiled it three days prior then left it uncovered in the fridge to absorb all of the off-putting salad offerings this restaurant had.VerdictI would definitely not recommend getting the food here if the macaroons are any indication. I will say that the lemonade was sufficient if overpriced.
Bulan Thai Vegetarian Kitchen
4114 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90029, United States
(1) Food: Full vegetarian restaurant (contains onions and garlic). Authentic Thai food with some creativity on the menu, no options on spiciness as its default t medium spicy (as I ordered my Green Curry).(2) Atmosphere: Mood setting of the place is relatively new, a little dime on the lighting which creates an relaxing fine dining experience.(3) Service: customer experience was average, no positive or negative impact on overall experience. I would return again if I were in town (Los Angeles) again.(Overall score 4.5 out of 5)

Mazal
110 N San Fernando Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90031, United States
What a gem this restaurant is in Lincoln Heights. I kept watching when they were building it out and was praying it would be a restaurant as I have been waiting for a Middle Eastern restaurant after living in Lincoln Heights for 13 years! If you are looking for true Israeli food, this is the place to go to. Offering a vegetarian menu, along with vegan items, Mazal has something for everyone. Owned by an incredibly welcoming family, the owner Tal and his parents Davis and Hanni make you feel like one of their family, when you go in. Right now, Los Angeles is offering take out food only, and I truly cannot wait till I get to eat inside and outside. The decor is incredible inside with beautiful floors, and walls, and was done by the family, and if you like the decor, you will love the food even more! My favorites are the bourekas, sweet potato butternut squash soap (with raw pepitas that give it a kick) and the potatoes with hummus with herbs from their garden in the back. Both times I ordered, I also got the hummus with extra pita (was is the freshest you will find) and every meal lasts for three meals for me, as the portions are SOOO generous. All the food blogs are saying this is one of the most promising restaurants to open in Northeast LA and I truly agree. I am ordering again this weekend from Mazal, and really hope you will considering supporting this wonderful family restaurant. They use a food delivery service if you are not in the Lincoln Heights area, and I cannot recommend Mazal enough. Happy eating!
