This is our new favorite restaurant! The food is amazing, the place is clean and the staff is super friendly. The owner, Tamba, greeted us with a hearty welcome and cheerful smile. The whole staff seemed to genuinely care about our experience and really put in a lot of effort. We had the Garlic Parmesan Wings, AfroRibs, and the Tanjier Stew with a Whole Fried Red Snapper. Fresh Hibiscus Tea to drink. The three plates easily will make six to eight meals. The portions are very generous. Seriously, I hope youre hungry. The wings were huge and crispy. The garlic concoction on them is fermented which imparts a unique flavor Ive not had before. I usually pass over chicken wings but my wife likes them, so we ordered them. I couldnt stop myself. Theyre so delicious. The ribs made me feel like Korean royalty. Gochujang and sesame combined with a West African spice palette. Tender juicy meat on the bone and once again, very generous portions. Finally, Tangier Stew with a Whole Fried Snapper. They mean whole... as in eyeballs, bones, tail, head, all of it. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, just perfect. The Tanjier Stew is a peanut based soup that is similar to Thai Satay, but its thinner and savory rather than sweet. Its paired with garlic jasmine rice. My wife is not much of a rice fan, yet couldnt put down the spoon. The hibiscus tea is sweet but also spiced. It is non alcoholic and served cold, but somewhat reminded me of mulled red wine or German Gluhwein.I highly recommend this place. I added a photo which was taken after we had already started eating so keep in mind the portionsare bigger than the photo. My wife held out her hand for scale.Well definitely be back!

I am vegetarian for religious regions and I always confirm if something contains meat before trying out anything new.I was at this restaurant for office dinner and since a lot of dishes were new to me, I confirmed with the waitress if this particular item contained any meat or not, to which she confirmed that it was vegetarian. It was when I started eating I felt weird taste. It was another teammate who let us know that there was beef in the item. Atleast 2-3 of us ended up eating it. We called another server who confirmed that there was indeed beef in it.I immediate felt like throwing up and still feeling nausea. Id never eaten any meat in my life and eating beef is strictly not allowed in our religion. Its kind of big deal (similar to how someone who eats halal is made to eat pork)I am not only disappointed by carelessness of the waitress, but also by the fact that nobody even offered any kind of apology to us. The whole incident has caused me distress. This was first and last time I visited this restaurant.
Ph Vegan Asian Cuisine
6661 Stanford Ranch Rd E, Rocklin, CA 95677, United States
We had the Filipino pancit, orange chicken, lemon grass tofu, and fried rice. The orange chicken veggie meat was rubbery & stale & sauce wasn't orange in color or in taste. The bell peppers and onion it was made with was barely cooked. Tastes like veggies and veggie meat was warmed in microwave & then doused with sauce. Lemon grass tofu was drowned with what tasted like the same sauce as “orange chicken” There was no lemongrass taste in the dish. Same deal with the veggies as in the orange chicken. Pancit was mostly onions with a sprinkle of thin noodles. It was not Filipino pancit in taste or texture. The fried rice was barely covered with/soy sauce. It was mostly white rather than the dark brown color you're used to seeing with fried rice. One good thing I have to say about this place is that the service was very friendly which is not common in Asian restaurants (in my experience)Good customer service not so good food.
Taqueria Roberto Mexican Food

The restaurant is clean and bright. The staff is very nice and responsive. The salsa bar was in good shape and the pico de gallo was very fresh. The Jamaica drink was flavorful and not watered down like some other places. My spouse ordered chorizo and eggs which was serve in 7 mins. She said it was good but the refried beans was a bit watery. I ordered 7 mares but hold the mussels. That took longer before it came out. I think I waited a good 25 mins. I supposed this soup takes time to make it good. It was very good overall but i thought the soup broth looked a little bit oily and thick. It did have a good flavor and wasnt too spicy. There were 3 different kinds of shrimp. It was interesting but I prefer the shrimp to all be shelled and tail less. The octopus was thick and chewy but I dont know if its possible to to make it tender without making the customer wait even longer. A better alternative is squid. Their body and tentacles are skinny and gets tender quicker. What would make this soup even better is having Dungeness rather than the small crab with skinny legs that made me work too hard for it. 7 mares costed $19. I enjoyed it overall but probably wouldnt order it again unless they make changes I suggested. However, I will return to this restaurant to try their menudo and other dishes.
Sideshow Kitchen

Had the hyphy chicken sandwich and garlic fries. Damn it was good! I like spicy but it bordered on a little too hot for my taste, so maybe Ill get it without jalapenos next time. The sauce they make for it is crazy good and has its own spice. The garlic fries were great too.I have to say though, the wings we ordered were shockingly disgusting lol. They made the wings with lemon pepper seasoning and then tossed them in some BBQ sauce. They actual chicken was awesome -it was cooked perfect and these were actually the biggest wings Ive ever seen- but the lemon pepper wasnt good on wings and the sauce actually tasted toxic. Im not trying to be funny or insulting, but whatever BBQ sauce they put on it tasted like corn syrup and chemical. Not sure how the sandwich could be so amazing and the wings were sooo wrong, but Ill definitely go back and explore more of the menu. Overall the food was great, the vibes were good, and the atmosphere is fun.
World Wrapps

We came to the shopping area to spend some hours and occasionally got hungry. Checked for healthy and not overpriced food in the area and discovered this place. We came to the place and could directly order as it was not crowded. We ordered two Argentinian salad bowls - one with lax and one with steak - and dined in. We paid somewhat above 30 usd. We took a place outside. The food arrived very fast. The food was very tasty and fresh. The portion could be a bit bigger but generally it was enough. I liked the combination of rice and quinoa, I found it unusual and very tasty.A pleasant surprise is that the food is served on real plates and with real silverware, which is such a relief after all the plastic and paper that you get in other places. The design of the place is very nice both inside and outside: the combination of bright colors makes you feel happy, while wooden elements add some natural touch. I liked their vases with succulents placed in the exterior, it made the place look cosy.I could definitely recommend this place.
CoHo

Stanford's very own cafe which is very popular with its students. Come here if you're in the area and want a place for a bite to eat and soak in some college atmosphere. They have nice loungey sofas and even a piano! You can also sit on the benches outside and the good thing is they serve in actual cutlery instead of plastic containers. They have an excellent collection of sandwiches, bagels, pastas, risottos and burgers. They also have coffee and tea and hot chocolate etc. I went during lunch time and wasn't sure if the meat was halal. So I ordered a vegan chilli with quinoa. It was really delicious and spicy ! It tasted like rajma chawal and the chilli had three different types of beans. The portion size was decent but the price was costly for 9$. The cheapest sandwich was around 8.50. I also had a small cappuccino which cost me around 4.50$ but was not very strong. For the price it should have been more robust.Service was friendly and quick.Update: the mushroom burger was not good, but the mushroom sandwich was tasty. Wish they gave fries on the side apart from the salad. The pasta with vegetables was kind of bland. The hot chocolate was that Swiss mix version. The raspberry and custard croissant was delicious.
Rudys Gourmet Mexican
6011 Stanford Ranch Rd UNIT 107, Rocklin, CA 95765, United States
This was our first time eating at Rudys. We ordered online to take home and it was really convenient and we were able to add special instruction to online order for each item. I was there a couple minutes early and the staff was very friendly. So now to the food. I ordered a 2 item meal with a chicken tamale and a carne asada taco that comes with beans and rice. On the first bite of the tamale I knew that it was already the best Ive had at a restaurant. It had a fluffy texture to the masa and this flavor that I still havent figured out but was so good! The taco was tasty and had a home made quality about it. Everything tasted fresh and light, which is hard to get with mexican food. My husband said his regular Burrito was amazing and had that fresh tasting quality as well. We will definitely be back again.
The Stanford Faculty Club

The food was good. Its essentially the same as the dining halls but slightly better with better desserts. Their impossible burger is good. The workers are very nice and will explain menu items. You can also customize your orders and theyre very good at swapping items. For example, theyd be totally willing to make u a piece of chicken instead of beef, or cater to any other dietary restriction.
