Happy Buddha Kitchen
5551 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
Was looking for a restaurant with healthy, tasty, and vegetarian options. So happy I found Happy Buddha Kitchen. They will make eating more plant based diet so much easier. In Temple City Plaza next to Office Depot and CVS.Love the chill and wholesome ambiance and decor. Music selection was spot on. Like a lot of other people said, the restaurant was very clean. Staff was attentive and came by to check on us on a regular interval.Thai iced tea tasted like the Thai tea I tried in Thailand! Authentic. Super yummy and you can ask for oat milk or almond milk if you prefer.Steamed rice rolls were light and had crunchy egg rolls. Sauce went well with the rice rolls.Bun Bo hue was amazing! So much flavor. Dare say even better than the meat version. Will definitely be coming back soon!

My family and I had the pleasure of coming to this restaurant for brunch. Let me tell you, it was completely worth it. The service was amazing right off the bat you get greeted at the front by great customer service. The staff is super friendly and extremely welcoming. It was a little busy for takeout, but that did not damage the great customer service. We sat down and got water and coffee. The coffee was amazing café de la olla never disappoints. The chef came out, took our order himself, and was extremely nice. we felt really special. We ordered 1 kids breakfast that came with hash brown eggs, 1 strip of bacon, and 1 sausage. We also ordered green chilaquiles that came with a side order of beans and eggs, and we added chicken for an additional 6 dollars. They do not play with the chicken it was a whole half a breast in there. I ordered the rib eye steak and eggs that came with green bell peppers and onion and a side of French toast. The food was amazing. The seasoning on the food was perfect. Lets start with the kids meal I ordered for a 1 year old, and the chef knew what he was doing he cooked the bacon rice and crispy kind of like a potatoe chip the sausage was also crispy and the eggs where nice and scrambled. Textures play a big part when feeding a 1 year old, and I swear this chef got it spot on my 1 year old could not stop eating his food. The chilaquiles were phenomenal, although they were not spicy for me or my fiance that did not take from the flavor very well seasoned tortilla chipe fresco and crispy and the sauce really brought the dish together. The rib eye steak was perfectly executed to a medium and again well seasoned with hash brown and scrambled eggs. The French toast was too fluffy and delicious that I wish I would have had more time to sit, and as a parent, sometimes when its time to go, its time to go. I really enjoyed the food here I really loved how welcoming they made us feel and will definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for a nice brunch spot near temple city honestly I this this is going to be our new go to for a nice brunch for my fiance and I. Definitely must try!!
Pizza Cart
9578 Lower Azusa Rd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
This place is the best. I drive from East L.A. to pick up my order. I use to go to East L.A. Pizza Co. but they were rude and didnt try to accomodate a request for a couple slices of pizza so that was the lat time for that place. These guys wilk hook you up and at resonable prices might I add. . I recommend the Fettucine Alfredo, Antipasto salad, Pepperoni Pizza, Spaghetti with Meatballs, heck I recommend the whole menu. So if your the mood for some awesome italian food and homeade authentic pizza stop by Pizza Cart. Believe me, worth the drive and the gas used to get there. Forgot to add very, very, hospitable and respectful staff. Great buch of guys working there.
El Pastorcito tacos
9700 E Las Tunas Dr, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
I went in with no expectations. This taco truck was nearby where I lived so I decided to give it a chance.Their tacos are surprisingly good. I had the suadero, lengua, cabeza, tripa, al pastor, and carne asada. All those cuts tasted fresh and felt tender (with the al pastor being slightly crunch on the outside since they have a spit inside the truck). I felt the cuts of meat I had outshined pollo and carne asada. The meats were decently seasoned without being overwhelming; all topped with cilantro and onions. The tacos came out hot on top of a steamed Diana's tortilla. The location was easy to access with plenty of parking. The stand was clean with a more hygienic approach of applying salsa using a squeeze bottle. Overall, I was pleased with my visit and I will return again. I feel this taco truck is a better option than the neighboring Carl's Jr. and McDonalds.
El Ruizeor Grill
5818 Temple City Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
Came across this little place by chance, but it was so good!!! I loved the food, the decor, but especially the customer service!! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by very attentive, cordial and friendly staff. The food was amazing!!! And they serve huge portions for the price, we started off with the super fries and queso fundido, you can see the pictures as reference to see how huge this platter of fries was lol, it was supposed to be an appetizer. We ordered our food too, not expecting everything to come out at the same time, which was in less than 20mins. as you can see we had a full table with everything. Our order consisted of the Big Daddy burrito, menudos, and a molcajete ??? really loved everything!! Even though is a bit of a drive for us, itll be worth returning one day. Highly recommend!!!
Green Zone
5728 Rosemead Blvd unit 106, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
Bravo! 5-Stars! It is so nice to taste your food.!!!GreenZone is a NO MSG and ORGANIC ingredients location. The subtleties and flavors are distinctly those you find in fine dining. The carefully selected ingredients makes this place a winner.Come and eat with confidence. It should be noted that this location is new and an addition to the local collection. It is still working out the new location logistics and is under a soft opening with a limited menu.GreenZone started on Valley and has been trying to be better by doing things more focused on quality of food with your health in mind. 10 years later, they still are trying to make that difference and I appreciate it.GreenZone Is not your typical SGV location. If you enjoy MSG, this is not your place. But if you are interested in tasting the natural flavors of real food, then welcome to your new home. They have done a great job in making traditional Asian food better. Its probably not what youre used to, but it can clearly be the benchmark you should hold for yourself and for those you care about.By the way, at this location they have 10% tip built into their check. Dont be insulted, be happy they care enough about their employees to ensure everyone, including the cooks and other service support get their fair share. Its an operational decision that makes working conditions fair for all. And approach that some find bold while others feel they have lost some control.Dont feel alarmed, feel educated that they understand and appreciate the work conditions for all and are trying to make a difference. If you own and run a restaurant, every owner will tell you the same problem, the staff dont feel appreciated. Well, you just dined at a restaurant where the entire staff do feel appreciated and it should be obvious. So, I suggest you add a few more dollars when the tab comes. They provide good service so think 15% and promote their approach.Bring your family and friends. They will thank you.
Golden Deli Temple City
9664 Las Tunas Dr, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
To the owner of Golden Deli of Temple City: You just lost a potential frequent customer! By far, this is the worst customer service we've ever experienced coming straight from the owner of a restaurant. An owner like you will not be in business for long!We ordered over the phone and the girl who took our order seemed new and inexperienced and sure enough got our order wrong. We ordered egg noodles with our soup and not rice noodles. We didn't find out about it until my husband brought the order home at which point I phoned the girl to let her know about the wrong order. I then told her that we were fine with keeping what we ordered, but if I could please just have my husband pick up the egg noodles to replace the rice noodles, and she completely agreed to it.When my husband drove back, the owner gave him a hard time telling him to bring back the entire order, or he insisted that we pay extra for the egg noodles! My husband explained to him that we do not live close to Golden Deli and how ridiculous it was for him to request that he drive back home to get the food. We did not want to replace the entire soup order, just the noodles! Was the owner planning on taking the rice noodles and reusing them in someone else's soup???? The owner still refused to replace the noodles even if his worker took the wrong order. I also spoke to the owner over the phone to explain to him that the girl took a wrong order and that she agreed to my husband returning for just the egg noodles. The owner was VERY rude in his reponse to me! I told him we were not returning and his was response was “Good, we don't want you back!” UNBELIEVABLE! How does your business survive? How can you treat your customers like that? That is just so wrong!Business owners like you will never succeed. I am in total agreement with one of the bad reviews of this restaurant dated 01/13/2014. It pointed out that, “you can only go so far with your food before people stop showing up because of poor customer service.” Owner of Golden Deli: For the horrible customer service you provided us and for the morally unacceptable person that you are, we pray you go out of business soon!
Eden Thai Cuisine
9426 E Las Tunas Dr, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
Had a super memorable exchange with this mom and pop. Food is delicious and CHEAP. I got this big box of chicken pad see ew for only $7.50!!! Seriously the cheapest pad see ew around. I gave her $10 mostly in ones and told her to keep it. She then tried to give me back a few dollars and told me it was too much. I told her it was okay and it was for her excellent service. She retorted that I shouldve bought something else. We had a bit of back and forth before she finally accepted it.Even during times like these, small businesses stay humble. Highly recommend supporting and if you do, please keep in mind that it is a husband and wife team. Assuming due to covid, they dont have a full staff so please be patient with them.If Pad See Ew is not your thang, they also have a large variety of lunch specials 11am-3pm for only $5.50!!Street parking a plenty. I went on Monday and it looked closed but feel free to give them a call to double check and also knock on the door loudly.
Red 99 Grill Bistro
5557 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
If im ever in the area and im craving some authentic chinese food, this will be one place ill definitely consider over and over again. Me and my party ordered multiple dishes but the chili water boiled beef and the stir fried lily with fragrant lettuce were among my favorites. The chili water boiled beef looks and sounds intimidating, but really, the spice was mild and the dish itself was both unique and very tasty. The stir fried lily on the other hand, makes for a perfect vegetarian option that has a satisfying and savory kick to it. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who happens to be in the area!
