Green Green Trees Your Vegan Kitchen
4141 Nogales St B107, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
Local vegan joint In West Covina. Ordered takeout from here on a Thursday evening and it took about 20 mins for the food to be prepared. You can order ahead online or phone in your order. The backstory of this restaurant is touching - you can read about it on their website.Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. It's awesome to have food that tastes delicious and is also healthy. We opted for a chef's choice set which comes with 3 entrees and 1 appetizer. The appetizer was a veggie dish and had a light nice sauce. The fried chicken and wonton dish was the favorite dish of the night, and was crispy. The mushrooms in brown sauce had the right amount of flavor and came with plenty of veggies. We ordered some noodles on the side, which were chewy and my personal favorite. We also tried a slice of the tiramisu cake, which was light and has the same texture as a vegan cheesecake. You can order a whole cake with advance notice.Credit cards are accepted. Parking is free and available in the shared lot. The employees are very kind and friendly. There are a couple of indoor seating options (no outdoor). I like this place a lot for its homey vibes and the fact you can eat healthily, eco-consciously, and tastily all in one place.

Bitez
112 Plaza Dr Suite 821, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
Bitez specializes in sliders, fries, and shmakes, but with a healthier twist since all the food is baked and the shmakes are hybrid smoothie milkshakes. I came by on a Friday night for dinner with the fam, and we all decided to order the Megabitez, the Bitez flight, an order of fries, and some shmakes for the three of us to share. Everything was prepared and baked to order, so all the food came out fresh and hot, and as for the shmakes, they came out freshly blended. My first impression of the Megabitez burger was that it was huge and hefty, even carrying this triple threat around the restaurant made my scrawny little toothpick arms sore. This baby is definitely shareable, so I was glad that my sister and I preemptively decided to share instead of ordering one for each of us. The mega slider was really good; the portion of meat was very generous and well-seasoned, all the toppings were fresh, and the delicious sauces just enhanced the overall flavor of the burger. I thought that since the fries were baked, they were going to be dry, nasty, and sad like “healthy” fries from a public school cafeteria in 2006, but boy oh boy was I wrong. I dipped a fry into the Bitez sauce that it came with and took an initial bite, and it was very crispity, crunchity, and perfectly salted with their trademark secret seasoning. The texture and flavor was like a normal fried French fry that's doused in oil, but it was baked, so it was healthier and just as tasty as you run-of-the-mill French fry from other fast food places! It was great because I didn't have to feel as guilty as I stuffed my piehole with fistfuls of the sauced-up Frenchies like Bruce Bogtrotter eating chocolate cake.Even though I was supposed to share just the Megabitez with my sister, my grubby hands couldn't stop myself from stealing one of the four sliders from my bro's Bitez flight. I had to steal it fast while he wasn't looking, so I wasn't even sure which one I took, but all I know, is that whatever flavor it was, it tasted really good too. Also, the Bitez flight comes in the cutest little slide out box to hold your sliders and fries with a sauce holder on top for easy carrying, so you can munch-a-bunch and drive home while your food is fresh. I also got a PB&J shmake which was also very light and sweet and not too heavy on my stomach, even though I just ate tons of sliders and fries. The magic of Bitez is that even though I was really full, I didn't feel like Morgan Spurlock after eating his first super-sized meal; I didn't have that greasy, awful, heart-wrenching feeling I sometimes get after eating a deep-fried fast food bag.So I would definitely recommend sliding into Bitez to slide some sliders into your life!

Taco Bell
1410 S Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
Made a mobile order to pick up in store and someone stole my food. Its not my first time making an in store pickup from here, but my first time getting my food stolen. Other taco bells Ive ordered from put the food behind the counter, ask you for your name, then give you your order. This place just leaves the orders out on a shelf in front, where theres often no one manning the register. Out of the 3+ times Ive ordered from there, no one is ever in front and someone can easily swipe mobile orders. It was only a matter of time for one of my orders to get stolen.I had to pay twice for my order and was told to take up the issue with the app/corporate. If youre going to make mobile orders from here, pick up from the drive thru. If not, your food is left unattended in the front and can easily be taken.

Crispy wing appetizer was sooo yummy! Fried tofu plain until you added the sauce and fried spring rolls were a touch greasy...but light and crispy. Their dipping sauces were all good and complimented the dishes.I had the crispy fatty pork vermacelli...my new favorite summer meal. Veggies were so fresh. My vegetarian sister enjoyed the vegan meat banh mi. She said the bread was exceptional. My vegetarian neice happily reported the vegetarian pho had very tasty broth...the best she has had.Ben the owner was very attentive though being a relatively new restaurant he had to take orders, serve, greet customers, bus tables.I will definitely be back!!

Cafe Valer
112 Plaza Dr #1032, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
When the besties come visit me, I bring them all here. Its right off the freeway, has a lot of free parking, comfortable cozy vibe, little to no wait, has an outside patio and has a variety of quality menu items. No alcoholic drinks sold here but really good espressos and smoothies. Cafe has an entrance both inside and outside the mall. Which I love because I'm not trying to walk all up inside the mall. You must order and pay for your food upfront but a server will call your name and bring it to you. There is some inside seating, but it gets very noisy from the café hustle and bustle, so I much rather enjoy the outdoor umbrella covered patio. Love me the fresh air. I usually visit sometime between 9AM-1PM on weekdays so there isn't much wait time. Sometimes though I get the craving on the weekends and do notice the wait is a little longer. I already anticipate it so no harm. Anyhow I would love to tell you that I love all their food options but the truth is I cant. I can't because every time I come here; I must have one of my favorites. The Mango Habanero Panini & Big Breakfast Burrito (spicy)! Half size or full size this warm cream cheese spicy mango panini is too good. I love me a good breakfast burrito that is spicy and has both bacon and sausage and they have a really good one here. I'm not a fan of beans in breakfast burritos but I love it in this burrito.

Merrys House of Chicken
2550 Amar Rd A5, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
Family-run Indonesian restaurant with fried chicken. They're currently offering takeout/pickup during covid. I've always seen this place whenever I go get a massage at Ancient Thai, so we ordered lunch here on a Sunday. You can order online through their website or via phone. They said it would take ~20 minutes to prepare, but it was closer to 30. There were some Indonesian food stuff for sale inside the restaurant, and they enforce wearing a mask, social distancing, etc. Credit cards are accepted. Parking is available in the strip mall lot.Food-wise, the meat is a bit on the smaller side, but the flavor is top-notch. The half fried chicken (ayam kremesan)was more akin to the size of a quarter chicken, but the chili sauce and the fried crunchy things that came on the side were delicious. The sate babi (pork sticks) were also on the smaller side, but very tasty. The peanut sauce that came on the side was thick and peanut buttery; it completed the sticks very well. The chicken fried rice (nasi goreng Jawa) had a slightly pungent taste (maybe due to the fish sauce) but had a generous serving size and had a decent level of moistness. Overall, it's a small family-run restaurant with authentic, good food with reasonable prices.

Pho Anvi West Covina
450 S Glendora Ave Suite 101, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
Good food. nice and attentive staff. 2 appetizers and 2 noodles for 3 people plus a Thai iced tea each is a lot of food. the different kinds of rolls, charbroiled beef spring rolls and fried Northern style rice paper egg rolls, were very delicious though the prior had a tougher wrapper and hard to pull apart, but the latter was very crispy and flavorful. had the chefs special oxtail noodle soup with extra noodles where the flavors are legit but the oxtail could use a little use more time so the meat can fall right off the bones and be slightly less dry. Charbroiled Beef with Vermicelli & Eggrolls are authentic. would definitely come back again. conveniently located, easy to find, plenty of parking.
