Vietnams Pearl Restaurant

Plus: you will get a free basket of pastries with purchase at the next door when you eat here and brings a receipt l.I am writing the review purely based on the pho.The broth was VERY SALTY!!I think MSG and fish sauce over powers other flavors. I couldn’t taste anything else.I don’t recommend this place to pho l. If you know other good dishes, that’s great. The waitress was nice and friendly. I don’t see many Spanish girl work for a Vietnamese restaurant, so that’s a bit new for me.If you compare the portion and protein contents in the pho, the cost performance is about average. The place is clean. That is good.My only mystery is this. There is another Asian lady at the restaurant, she dresses like she came from some other places open very late night... Interesting. And the way she talks reminded me Anjelah Jonhson’s stand up. Hahathis place doesn’t do anything bad. I just cannot take the salty broth and go better pho places.

Pho Lantern Cafe
103 E 17th St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, United States
Popular Vietnamese restaurant for Newport Mesa locals with really good pho and noodle dishes. Can get pretty busy at times. There are a couple of small outdoor tables for dining if you want to bring your dog too.

Mo Pho Mi

Small diner with big satisfaction! I had the Vermicelli with grilled pork and it was a huge portion with great taste. Additionally, there was a big heap of the delicious pork that came in a huge bowl bigger than the usual Pho bowl in other Vietnamese restaurants. So when that craving for a big appetite of Vietnamese food hits you, this is the place to go!

Happy Pho
3013 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
When hubby and I want to experience feeling valued and appreciated and enjoy the most satisfying pho soup preparation, we head to Happy Pho restaurant across Harbor Blvd.- from Sprouts Market. Owner wife ‘Lynn' and husband, Tony, have created a warm and happy environment full of home-made food, well cared for plants, lots of booths and a menu to satisfy every desire and eating mood. We are connoisseurs of pho, so what we appreciate is the extra wide noodles we request and the delicate flavor of our broth-full of plentiful seafood! We are happy and we keep coming back to Happy Pho for the gracious treatment we receive, for the reward of knowing our preferences are remembered and we are needs fully accommodated. We always leave feeling content and well treated with a warm, fully-satisfied, feeling inside. One additional plus: easy and plentiful parking with an exit street on the opposite end of the little plaza which conveniently takes you to Baker Street and directly across Baker is the popular Japanese Market, a Costa Mesa “must visit!” Wanna feel good and content-visit Lynn and Tony at Happy Pho. (Dr. FJS and happy hubby?)

Nguyens Kitchen
488 E 17th St B102, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, United States
Its a modern eatery, so its different than the other traditional Vietnamese restaurants that youll have to pay before you eat, so you wouldnt know if the service is good to tip properly. The phở was very salty that I had to add water. This restaurant is more likely for non Vietnamese customers. However, if youve never tried Vietnamese food at authentic Vietnamese restaurants (mostly in Westminster, Garden Grove, and Santa Ana), food at this restaurant is fine.

East Borough
2937 Bristol St B102, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
East Borough is a cute lil Vietnamese restaurant that offers Bahn Mi Sandwiches and Rice bowls with an American fusion. They are located in The Camp plaza of Costa Mesa, OC.I came to grab a lunch. Their outdoor was very chill as well as their indoor. However, both have limited seating! I was perfunctorily greeted by a cute female staff. I perused their menus and decided to get a Chicken rice bowl (bokchoy, a hard boiled egg, jasmine rice and citrus vinaigrette) and Jasmine Like Green Tea.Food taste good and flavorful. Drink was refreshing and citrus. Service was on point. Staff were professional. Prices were modest and affordable. Free Wifi. Atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, I recommend this spot.

AnQi Bistro - Modern Asian Cuisine & Private Di...
3333 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, United States
7/20/2022: I am a regular here and the restaurant owned by the same owner in Beverly Hills. I was totally ignored when i dd not have a reservation today. They don’t even have the courtesy to add your name to the waiting list. When I called and asked to speak to the Manager, they refused to let me speak. And this place is considered as an upscale restaurant when the way they treat customer is way worse than the other majority of Vietnamese restaurants. We just walked right across to Dynasty Paradise and were properly treated.7/25/2022: Change rating from 1 star to 3 stars since the service manager had reached out to us to ask for a chance to make it right. We will revisit and post our final rating.

This place was great! I feel sad for the reviewer who had a bad breakfast experience here. I needed breakfast before flying back to Texas this morning and I didnt know where to go so I just typed in breakfast and followed my google maps. At first I was a little nervous when it lead me to what looked like an office complex but holy smokes. This place is good! Its very cozy. I ordered the breakfast burrito and coffee. I had to wait a couple of minutes for my coffee, but thats because it was freshly made in a French press (which takes 4 minutes to brew) so it was well worth it! The breakfast burrito was H U G E. I almost ordered a side of potatoes with it but Im glad I didnt because I sadly couldnt even finish my burrito. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful--the food isnt overly dressed up but because of the quality of ingredients it doesnt have to be. I will definitely be saving this location to my favorites for the next time Im in the area.
