Nguyens Kitchen

Went to Nguyens Kitchen for a quick lunch. Ive never been here before so I wasnt quite prepared for this... did I just walk into a Vietnamese restaurant or a burger joint? We had classic Vietnamese food to-go done well-garlic noodles with beef, grilled chicken and pork bowls, and a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash it all down. While the Beach Boys were playing in the background! Such a departure from the Buddha and electric candles of your typical V-joint. Even the facilities were clean which is a departure from your typical Vietnamese place. Bravo, Nguyens, for a great meal!

I’ve been to so many Vietnamese restaurants from the East Coast to all of Southern California and this by far is the best Vietnamese home-cooked spot I’ve ever experienced and the workers are so sweet and hard-working! My bf and I made this our go-to for Viet food and you should too!

Pho Oh Tasty

This is my absolute go-to Pho place if I do not want to drive all the way to Little Saigon. It is well-worth the price and definitely worth the price. This restaurants sits in a plaza on Meats and Tustin. Parking is always plentiful, even at peak hours (lunch and dinner). The restaurant is pretty small, but even when its busy I never had to wait that long for a table. The inside is nice and quaint, and gives off a comforting vibe. The restaurant I believe is family owned and staffed, and the service is always perfect.Their appetizers are might I say, appetizing. Their springs rolls and egg rolls are perfectly priced and sized, so they play well especially if you are only ordering Pho, which does not come with any sides like egg rolls or spring rolls.I have been here a handful of times and was able to try the Bun (Vermicelli), Com (Rice Dishes), and of course their famous Pho. They are all relatively affordable and come in decent portions. I have been really full, and sometimes have leftovers. For the Bun and the Com, I have only tried their chicken, which is splendid and delicious. For their Pho, I have ordered the Dac Biet which is pretty much all their combinations, except chicken and seafood. I usually get the large, and it comes with a good amount of meat and noodles.

Eaten here a few times and Im glad theres authentic pho within a mile from my workplace in Orange. Ive gotten the House Special (look up the menu for full ingredients) and the Steak and Fatty Flank pho bowls before and they didnt disappoint. The House Special is the best deal IMHO. Broth is more than solid by Orange City standards.I would describe this as a hole in the wall mom and pop shop, family-owned, with who appears to be a grandma, mama, and toddler in tow. I wouldnt eat here if you want a classy ambience. This is strictly about the food! I will say that the free egg roll that comes with the lunch order is not great, but also highly unnecessary. Again, the broth shines, and I appreciate the cracked pepper in every bowl, which is not normal in pho places.Been going to Soup and Noodle as my go-to for pho during my work lunch, though thats more of a fusion place then Viet place. Happy to add another pho spot to my lunchtime rotation.

Went here on my lunch break and, felt a bit disappointed...No freshly made chili paste or, authentic Vietnamese quality chili paste. It was the cheap packets kind that tastes nothing like the real thing. The spring rolls are nothing like Bordard Chateau, this place is like the Panda Express of Vietnamese food.If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food with the true highlights you may not like this place.

Saiga Vietnamese Eatery

So excited for this new location and it was a familiar spot to me. It used to be Hiccups!!! I love Saiga and I was excited to finally try items that I haven't tried at their Irvine location. I ordered 2 banh mi's (Pork belly and BBQ chicken), and the BBQ chicken garlic noodles. For drinks, it was a no-brainer, I always go for Thai tea if any place has it and the Jasmine Lychee tea. The banh mi was so good, it's all about the bread in my opinion. It wasn't overly toasted like most places do and it was just the perfect softness. The pork belly and chicken were delicious, I would definitely get these again. The noodles were yummy as well, definitely gave enough and was plentiful. The drinks were really good and refreshing and just perfect to go with the food. I really wish I ordered the cookies cuz I remembered how good it was and I also love popcorn chicken so next time I will definitely add that to my order.I'm so happy they added another location and congrats to them because that means they are doing well and they deserve it! Everything here is so good. Oh and the best thing, I ordered everything through their kiosk and it was so simple!!!!! Only thing I would add is there was no option for light ice or no ice for the drinks. Other than that, super simple which I love and food came out quick.***SOFT OPENING***JUNE 27-JULY 12 (11am-8pm)20% OFF all ordersGRAND OPENINGJULY 13 (11AM)FIRST 100 GUESTS: one free banh mi (per customer, in-store only)NEXT 50 GUESTS: one free handcrafted drink(Per customer, in-store only)ALL DAY- FREE SAIGA TOTE BAGOn orders over $50 (after discount)***(15% OFF ALL DAY: 7/13 & 7/14)

The best pho in Orange. I got beef pho with filet mignon, meat balls, and egg. The customer service is amazing comparing to other Vietnamese restaurants in this area.
