The thai tea was pretty good! It satisfied my craving for it but I prefer mine to be just a little less creamy.The pho wasnt amazing but I wasnt offended by it. I think the broth could have been a little more rich in flavor.One thing I thought was really nice about my bowl was how soft and tender the meat was. I would have prefered more of the thin sliced meat over the combination of that plus the meatballs that were included in the soup.

WOW, THIS PLACE IS GREAT! I loved it. The food was great! The staff was helpful, and very kind. All five dishes that we ate were astonishing! The workers offered on the house food for us. The food was super fresh. We are so grateful for this restaurant. We were looking for a good place to eat on thanksgiving day, but we couldn’t find a place. Good selection and quality. Definitely worth coming over. Prices are great. The building was very clean, and welcoming.

A very creative way to make Vietnamese cuisine as fast food togo. The ambience was fresh and clean. Super friendly staffs and tasty foods. Look like they are the only Vietnamese cuisine restaurant around this place and they meant serious business here.Portion was large and especially the Pho was tasty as they definitely use high-quality beef here. Sharky beef and grill chicken were also well seasoned.Bring your friend and family to here Asap.

This was my first time and it was incredible! The shrimp Pho was fantastic and a huge portion! The pork ribs were so flavorful, cooked perfectly and the veggies were so good. We all had smoothies and they were fantastic too! My husband has traveled extensively and eaten lots of Vietnamese food and he said this place was so good and very authentic! We will definitely be back!

We stopped by @ bites for a quick meal and were very happy with the experience! We ordered beef pho, chicken pho, fried seafood balls, garlic lemon shrimp, and fruity in da pine smoothie. The food came quickly and was delicious—we were especially pleased with the pho, as the broth was balanced and not too salty which we liked. Service was also very friendly!

The food was just OK. We ordered the spring rolls, chicken pho and beef pho. The spring rolls didn’t have a lot of flavor and were cold inside. The pho on the other hand was overly sugary and I had to continually put in more spice to tone down the sweetness of the broth. The meat was overly fatty and quite chewy. The noodles themselves were cooked well and once I got the broth balanced out were quite tasty. Not my favorite pho place, but just OK if you’re in a pinch.

WOWOWOW! What an amazing place to get some absolutely fabulous Vietnamese food! At Bites gives you many options, all prepared with super fresh ingredients with flavors so varied and deep with fresh herbs and spices all served quickly and with great service. And, the prices were so reasonable. To top everything off, I was serenaded a Happy Birthday by the restaurant staff and presented with a smores brownie cake! At Bites will be on our must go list every time we visit San Luis Obispo again!

So disappointed in this place. Neither sandwich was mad correctly. The the onl thing they got right was “no peppers on one. But, there was no peppers or cilantro on any f them do thrtd that. 🙄Unfortunately my order was take out and when I got to where I was gong it was a 20 minute drive back. I didn’t return them for a refund. 🤷🏼‍♂️ What a waste of money.

What an absolute treat and surprise to see such quality in a restaurant. Not only are the dishes delicious, but the portions are truly perfect. There are four versions of Pho along with chicken, pork, beef and vegetarian dishes. In addition to all the tasty food there is a huge juice, smoothy and coffee bar with close to 50 different drinks. The owner (Phuong) was extremely friendly and walked me through my order to make sure I was getting something I’d enjoy. @Bites is truly A++

Absolutely horrible. Ordered this on my lunch break. The owner was so rude saying “you are picky about your food” I just want something edible! They said they would give me a replacement and then they purposefully made it wrong and yelled at me saying it’s only $8.00 and hung up on me!! I would patronize this establishment 3+ times a week to be treated so rudely!

Me and my friend came from Merced for a lil weekend getaway so we didn’t know the area looked up Pho and this is one of the places that popped up on google! The food was amazing the pho was really flavorful, my friend got the garlic grilled chicken with veggies and that was soooo good too, would definitely be back !!! 5 STRARS !!!

Nice find, we had the lemon grass spicy pork ribs, with a nice inclusion of fresh veggies, shrimp spring rolls and a pork bun, along with tamarind lemonade, all very good. We ate on the outside patio. You can eat inside if it is too cold, and of course order out if thats your thing.

Clean, friendly, good price point and good service. Very close to campus. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and plenty of room to sit. We ordered spring rolls, banh mi, and shaking beef. Bread was excellent on the banh mi, spring rolls were ok, but the peanut sauce was tasty. Shaking beef was good with fresh roasted radishes,green beans, zucchini, tomatoes, green peppers, onions and parsnip. Would definitely come here again. SLO definitely was in need of a good Vietnamese restaurant.

Food was excellent. Had the beef pho and honestly I think its the best Ive had. Also had the beef báhn mì. The bread was light and fluffy, meat thoroughly seasoned, and the pate added a nice bit of creaminess to counter the crispiness of the bread. The Thai tea was a little on the sweet side, but still delicious. The Asian wings were fried well, super crispy, and came out piping hot. I dont live in the area and sad that there isnt a location near me. Ill definitely stop again when I pass back through SLO.

I’ve been here twice and neither time did the food impress me. The first time I had the spicy shrimp, the second time the Pho. The Pho broth was lackluster and underwhelming. No richness whatsoever. The drinks are great however. Only one staff member wearing a mask.

I didnt care much for the chicken in my food: It was bland. That said, the Pho broth was phenomenal! My son (and the rest of us) loved his fries, my wife really enjoyed her sourgrass pork back ribs. Either the manager or owner was there and gave us super positive vibes. I really want to go back, and I hope to inspire others to go try this restaurant. I have many other menu items I hope to try in the future!

At Bites is where it’s At! Food is deelicious. Damn good if I’m not being too forward. Service always comes with a smile, warm greeting, prompt delivery. Chef is always in house. He personally greets you with some tasty tastes off the menu. Very generous. I like the roominess of the dining indoor or outdoor. It’s a great place for groups too. May I add refreshing drinks too, with real fruit, coconut milk, boba, teas…At Bites is where you get yummy Vietnamese flavors this West Coast California side!

Some of the dishes here are decent but the two I was really interested in were surprisingly bad:Spring rolls: mixture of carrot, lettuce, and mint. I would have liked to see some cilantro, maybe crushed nuts, and/or tofu in there.Pho: the meat was good but the broth was so sweet I couldnt drink it. Pho broth is not supposed to be sweet. The broth could use a touch of fennel too, or something else to add another dimension.

We went into @bites with an optimistic mind yet we were let down by poor service and even poorer food quality. As soon as we were seated we had realized that they had not given us our entire meal, so like any rational person we asked politely for the rest of our meal. It was not a big deal until the waiter came and delivered the rest of our meal but had to add on a comment trying to justify why it was missing, he said ”we had given you extra meat” as justification for the missing part of our meal. No where in the menu did it say this or was explained to us that this was the case. As we hear eating our meal we could hear rude comments coming from the staff working and the friends of the staff saying that “it’s normal” for part of our meal to be missing. This is unprofessional and uniting to the customer. I would highly recommend staying away from this establishment. Plus the food was mid!!!!!

I went here for pho and the pho wasnt good. Ive had many pho throughout California and I can say that the meal I had today was one of the worst.I also had quite a bad experience here for my first time, as the menu had also stated that their is beef and also beef meatballs in the pho. They decided to not give me any meat balls. I then went to ask for my meatballs, as me and my friends also didnt get their meatballs. It was fine until they came up to us and gave us the meatball while saying that they also gave us extra meat for the compensation of no meat balls. I was never told that they were gonna give me more brisket and regular cuts of beef instead of meatballsAs me and my friends were eating they were commenting among their workers about our food and how we shouldnt be getting upset about the meatballs, but all I wanted was meatballs in my pho :(Anyways other places have better pho.

Spent over $100 take-out. Best deal and taste are the lamb chops and shrimp spring rolls. The hot lemon chicken according to my husband tasted like “cafeteria chicken.” He said the Costco rotisserie chicken at 1/3 the price is much tastier. He wouldn’t rush out to go there again.

Decided to try this new restaurant. It looked Interesting so my husband and I went for an afternoon meal. I ordered the Banh mi sandwich and was totally surprised by how flavorful it was. Fresh ingredients with a fusion of flavors, yummmm. My husband had garlic noodles and was also very pleased at how flavorful it was. The employees are friendly and helpful. It was so delicious that we ended up going 4 times in a week, trying all the various dishes. It is food that will make your taste buds happy and is healthy. Go ahead and give it a try. In addition to all of this, the prices are very reasonable.add-We have now been going for over a year and a half. We love the Chicken Pho and Shaking Beef. The garlic fries are a favorite as well.

The Chicken Pho may have single-handedly cured my COVID. Seriously. I’m not even a soup fan & this stuff is sublime in its simplicity. The broth alone…just so pristine.Banh mi is great. The wings are great - crispy crunchy sticky messy goodness. The garlic noodles are great. It’s all great (except for the cheeseburger, which you wanna get somewhere else anyways).And the FRIES. Whatever they do to those things makes them possibly the best french fries i’ve ever had.The Total Detox juice is also a favorite.My only complaint is that this place is just around the corner from me. Went in for lunch. Amazing food and well worth the price.I had the Grilled Shrimp Bánh Mì and it was very well prepared. Shrimp from end to end. The last bite of the end of the bread was a whole piece of shrimp, they do not skimp on quality. We will definitely eat here again! We got the beef pho, spicy garlic chicken, and salted apricot lemonade. The greens and meat were fresh and of good quality. According to the owner, the vegetables and herbs are sourced locally which is pretty cool. The pho broth was flavorful and the spicy chicken was moist. The salted apricot lemonade was strange at first, but we grew to enjoy it. Im not sure I would order it again, but it was fun to try. Overall a delicious and pleasant experience.

Great food and friendly service. The Veggie Pho is wonderful and the Shrimp Bahn Mi is pretty good. I had it twice, but it was different each time. The patio is nice and spacious with a nice view of Bishops Peak and Madonna. We have gone several times. Definitely recommend trying it.

The best pho in San Luis Obispo. When my wife and I go here, we go for the pho. Ive tried other items on the menu and most are good. The sticky pork buns are delicious, but the egg rolls werent very good (it tasted like they need to change their fry oil more often). Overall, this is a great place and Id definitely recommend it.

My problem is I am spoiled by really good Vietnamese places in San Jose, Westminster, and elsewhere in California where there is more competition. Plus, I’ve been to Vietnam and am married to a Vietnamese. I suppose if you’ve never been to a Vietnamese place before you might find this place OK. I had a pork bahn mi sandwich. Lacked flavor. The boys loved ordering in the giant touchscreens and seeing the food saves picky eater issues in advance… brilliant. Wish everyone did this. The fire shrimp was on fire. Very flavorful and good size shrimp. I would go back just for this dish. The shrimp spring roll was good also but I felt robbed because the shrimp they put in there was halfed. The spring roll also felt pre-made and was sitting there waiting for someone to order it. Ive had it like that before but how it was made felt hollow. Like it wasnt stuffed enough to be more solid. Other than that it was a good.

I am blown away! My family and I finally tried @bites this evening and were completely blown away by how delicious everything was. We started with egg rolls. Then had Shaking beef, sriracha honey shrimp, a cheeseburger, fries, garlic egg noodles, garlic rice and a smoothie...such a random sampling, and yet everything was five stars!The egg rolls were fresh, yummy, perfectly crisped. The Shaking beef was tender and cooked to absolute perfection. The shrimp were among the best Ive ever had...fresh, large, and the sauce was delightfully spicy and delicious. Both the beef and shrimp were wonderfully presented with charred, beautiful vegetables (purple carrots, mini squash, grape tomatoes, green beans, etc). The noodles were awesome with tons of roasted garlic cloves mixed in. The cheeseburger was large, tender and fresh with really delicious meat, fresh tomatoes, homemade pickles and what seemed to be a homemade bun. The French fries were lightly battered...scrumptious crunch with a soft, yummy inside. Last but not least, we ordered a strawberry banana smoothie that my 5 and 2.5 year olds split...it was huge and they managed to suck the entire thing down. All of this for around $60...and that was with two orders of fries and two orders of noodles because for the cost I expected the portions to be smaller. Fed all five of us and we have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.We are very happy customers and look forward to becoming regulars! Even just for smoothies on the weekend...@bites will be taking the place of our usual Jamba Juice run. Thanks so much, @bites. You guys have nailed it!!!!

Im so so glad I listened to the reviews and came here, its only a 5 min walk from my place and its amazing. The pho is as good as my hometown, which is saying a lot. The bahn mi there is good too! I was really sad that there wasnt a good vietnamese restaurant in SLO but this place definitely fills that need for me. The prices are very reasonable as well. I will be coming here all the time now!

I really enjoyed the food here. My 5 year old son is picky about Asian food, especially his Vietnamese Pho. After one bite he kept saying, “mom this is so good, let’s bring dad here! he has to try it!” At the end of our meal he went to thank the owner for such good pho!

Delicious flavors! The shrimp and beef spring rolls are fresh and light and the peanut dipping sauce is so good. The beef and pork banh mis are yummy and a great value, although I prefer the beef. Honey sriracha shrimp are kind of a small portion but the sauce is soooo good (reminiscent of a Thai curry) and it comes with a nice mix of veggies.

Long story short: Delicious, Affordable, Convenient.This restaurant offers quality Vietnamese food at a ridiculously affordable price. We ordered the SLO grilled chicken. For just under $10 I was presented with 1/3 of a whole grilled chicken, mixed vegetables (green beans, baby bok choy, heirloom-like tomato), and dried cranberries.The chicken was juicy and tender with crispy skin. I cant emphasize enough how impressed I was with the quality and assortment of the vegetables that accompanied this entrée, all of which were perfectly cooked. We also ordered the fish cakes, which were fried and served with a side of spicy ketchup-based dipping sauce. Very tasty as well.If you enjoy Vietnamese and Vietnamese inspired cuisine, I encourage you to check this place out. Staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant interior was spotless.
