Came here for lunch out of curiosity. Beautiful location and reasonably priced lunch specials. The chicken strips with spicy sauce was flavorful and a nice change from norm.

Love love love the staff, honestly the positive ratings come from their stewardship and customer service being as great as it is. The negative however comes from a few menu options not being good or having a real flavor .. I’ll be vague because I would implore anyone to try anything at least once. None the less it’s a great establishment, semi good, fast eats. Staff is awesome, clean, and warm during the cold months lol.

Great, really great chicken. I had the garlic sauce. Crispy, juicy, terrific.Definitely bring wet wipes. Their napkins dont hold up to sticky BBQ.The pickled radishes were refreshing.Clean non- gendered bathrooms, single person only.Not much atmosphere but its damned good chicken

AMAZING Korean fried wings. Be sure to ask for extra glaze. It really does make a big difference. The garlic/soy is great. The spicy is pretty good too. Its a creeper heat. I usually get half and half. I know a couple light weights that cant handle the spice but it should be okay for most folks that like spicy food.

So the only bad thing is its small inside and its so popular that it was a little wait for a table but the chicken wings and drum sticks are amazing! And the pickled radish is delicious! The servers were all nice and they server alcohol and its reasonbly priced, overall a great experience, had a great Valentines day here and Ill definitely be back, love you BonChon!!!

Im still in the lobby eating my meal of chicken katsu and the Korean tacos and pickle radish with my girlfriend but soon to be wife in a few months or years. The food was amazing the cooks and front cashier did an excellent job . The amazing service and 10/10 food and sauce that came with it was good. Highly recommend this place to anyone or if you want to go on a date. Sandra an amazing person and very friendly.Ps. They wont give out there secret formula to the amazing food and service.

Now I must say Ive been wanting to try this place for a while. I loved the chicken, so flavorful it was like a party going on in my mouth!!! I got half and half flavors. I also had a side of Cole slaw which was pretty good as well. I added fries which was nice and crispy! I got the bulgogi tacos which I didnt enjoy very much, I think it was just the meat. But overall really good chicken!!!

Ordered bulkogi beef, house fried rice and steamed rice. I opted for extra beef and was very happy with the tenderness and flavorful product. This is stirfried thin sliced beef with onions. Very good. The house fried rice was excellent, you can get it with either chicken or beef or without protein.Prices are reasonable, especially with the portion size.

Just had a work meeting and my coworker recommended this place for lunch. I’m really happy she did!! We got the Japchae bowl and 10 piece wings combo. It was the perfect size for two hungry adults. The staff are very friendly and explained everything in detail when they found out that I have never been to this place. They have dining area inside and outside. Just one thing that I felt I need to mention, if you are sensitive to hot things or spicy food, do not go near the hot wings. I have finished the wings 10 minutes ago and my lips are still burning. It is hot BUT I would get them :)

The bulgoki looks like chopped meat with mushrooms? The dokboki was soggy, the dumplings are ok but the sauce is just dumped and shaken in a paper box. The food could have been presented so much better. Ive been to other locations where it feels more like a homey, Korean comfort food joint but this place feels like a fast food with no care . The chicken was the only winner. It was cooked to perfection. You need to cater more to customers to enjoy eating here and train the staff to present and prepare the food to look better!

Love this double fried chicken in the soy garlic sauce fried to perfection. The fries seem to be battered as well which give them an excellent double crunch as well. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves chicken and especially loves fried chicken.

I found a new favorite place to get chicken, its similar to Brandy fried chicken, idk maybe it is. The first time there I got spicy on my chicken strip combo and oh boy was it hot, and I have a very high tolerance for heat. I went back today because I couldnt stop thinking about it and got soy garlic this time. Also amazing. They have those crisper fries which are the best!

I adore this chain. Both their soy garlic and spicy flavors are SO good. Their chicken always fried perfectly. And their fries are fricken heavenly. Comes with pickled radishes or slaw. The combo with 3 drums and 6 wings is $13 roughly. Tried their takoyaki and it were super hot and fresh, just like how you get em in Japan. Service was very friendly. We got beers, which were $5 a cup on tap. You have to wait a little long for the food to come out but you wont be disappointed, promise.In the past Ive had their ddeobokki and it was also delicious, albeit super duper spicy. Would reccomend dining in at this location, as it is nicely ACed and has lots of natural bright light and high windows.

BEWARE! If you go for the strips, their recipe changed! We went to bonchon twice this week because I thought that I was the one at fault for possibly ordering boneless wings rather than the strips but no. They’re no longer the nice thinly-breaded crispy & soaked in sauce chicken breasts that we regularly go for - now they’re overly-breaded chicken tenders that you could get at any fast food restaurant for way cheaper. To top it off, while their sauce is still good, they drizzle it atop the “strips” & do not fully coat it like they should which could probably help their case if they did. You can see the dry spots with no sauce effortlessly in the picture I included. And yes this was the case for both visits. Ironically enough, they give you the option of boneless wings vs strips but there’s not a single difference between the two. I was willing to pay $40 for 30 pieces of strips before but not anymore, they’re definitely overpriced for being the cheap quality that they are now. So sad because I used to love going here. Also wish they gave a disclaimer at the least.

Limited menu. It advertises Korean fried Chicken but really its a wing place. I had the steak tacos they were good when I go back probably not. I told him I was eating there and they packaged everything into go packages so I have a tremendous amount of plastic trash to throw away after eating three simple tacos.

Bro, the soy garlic wings changed my life. Possibly the best wings in Sac. One of my favorite take out spots pick up some chicken and fries on my way to work. Only 2 flavors so it makes choices easy and drumsticks, wings, or both. My son loves the fried rice too but Im still sick on the chicken, havent tried anything else.

My kids love Korean food and I took my boy there for lunch after seeing reviews here. It was an utter disappointment. We ordered lunch special with three drumsticks and pork bun. Came out to be around $25 for two of us. We waited around 25mins for our food around 1:30 pm. Considering its not a sit-down restaurant, I was expecting less than 10mins tops. Ok. Thats fine as long as the food is good right? My jaw was sore after eating one of the pork buns cuz it was dried as cardboard. I gave it a two star cuz the chicken was moist but I expected better from a Korean chicken place. I really wanted to like this place the fact that we had to throw out part of the order because it wasnt edible is the worst in my book.

It might be due to the business of the place, it was slower than I would like. The atmosphere is God but a bit loud and busy considering the place is small.

I love bonchon chicken, have had great experiences with most locations I’ve been to, we picked up an order last night from this location and found hair in our chicken! And I get it sometimes chicken has a little hair on it naturally however, these were thick black hairs that were partially embedded into the sauce not in the chicken, which is a little disheartening after spending 50 bucks probably won’t be back to this location

This place is mediocre, I wouldnt suggest anyone get the chicken Katsu plate because there is no sauce thats come on the chicken or even sauce on the side to put over the chicken so basically its just dried up chicken over rice lol. I enjoyed the potstickers. Tge plate I got was the 6 piece chicken strip combo and there was a ridiculous amount of breading and when you take a bite the breading inside isnt even cooked all the way unfortunately. Im pretty disappointed because I spent $50 on this place. Ill be willing to try it again...

Very good chicken drumsticks here. The wings are pretty good too. The sweet garlic flavor is definitely our favorite and both cuts of meat are very tender. There was also a short wait for food around 15 mins, which isnt too bad. Overall very solid chicken place.

I’ve had Bonchon twice now and both times have been great! The first time I went I ordered the chicken wings spicy. I love spicy thing so I wasn’t expecting it to be too spicy. But man after four wings I needed water ASAP lol. The wings have a nice taste to them and also the spicy have a nice sweet taste and balance out the sweet and spicy. What I love most about the place were the fries they were super crunchy and fresh. They also have a spicy mayo sauce that essentially is Sriracha mix with mayo. It is pretty good to dip fries in. I like how they have inside seating both on normal tables and also high chair of tables. They also have some seating outside. Another thing they have is the Coca-Cola machine that has a whole bunch of flavors. I’ll be back soon.

I have heard great things about Korean Fried Chicken. I was finally in Sacramento when the restaurant was open. I stopped here for dinner around 5pm. I ordered the small boneless wings with soy garlic. The chicken was dry and stringy with very little soy garlic sauce. The chicken seemed and tasted to be left over from lunch and reheated. We also got the Japchae which was extra oily with overpowering red pepper flavor. We had 3 small pieces of meat in the Japchae. The beverages was limited as most of the choices were out. I will look for a better Korean restaurant. I will not go back to this restaurant.

We got the XL family meal for five people and have leftovers. The chicken is the crispiest I have ever had! We got a mix and match of the two flavors offerd. Garlic soy and spicy. Spicy is actually spicy and the garlic soy has a ton of flavor and is great for the kids. The fried rice also has tons of flavor and the fries are truly unique. The service was also awesome but the food is what makes this place stand out.

Was very disappointed with the food and most specifically on their customer service. We didn’t realize they close early like at 8pm on a Friday so we had ordered a few items (overpriced btw) and we were wondering why they put it in a to go box and in a bag when our intention was to dine-in. We didn’t think much of it and tried to enjoy the food. 15 min after we got our food and waited for so long one of the workers approached us and said “we are closed” as we were chewing the order we just received. They continued to clean the place, picking up the chairs and started to turn the lights off on us. Food was ok but definitely not coming back for how we were treated. And before all of this I was so excited to try this place! Glad I did, it just encouraged me more to cook at home!

Update: The existence of an actual sauce as described is simply untrue. That is a glaze at best. To be a sauce you must be able to accumulate in the corners at a bare minimum. Enough said. My first time here. Bonchon came highly recommended by a couple of coworkers. It did not disappoint. There were many choices on the menu. I opted for the tacos. We used to go to Bonchon pretty regularly and loved their chicken strips. I went today and the strips disappointed me. They were way too breaded, gone was the thin crispy layer of fried goodness we had come to expect and in its place were overbreaded chicken strips that one expects to find at a fast food place like Jack in the Box. I hope they go back to what they were doing before. Everything else was still good though, Cole slaw, fries, the bulgogi.

Okay I had two things thats stop me from giving it 5 stars. But as for the store was nice. The store was well kept workers were nice and helpful that is the reason for giving them the four stars. The two things that kept them from getting that last star was paying $5 for 2 drumsticks and some coleslaw that did not have any good taste at all. But i will say the drumsticks, were very tasty and i thought of getting 2 more. But $5. That is a whole chicken. Now I may go back and try them one more item on there menu next time and see if they can get that star.

Im used to going to the one in natomas and it is way better. I was disappointed when i got it delievered. Portion sizes were about half, chicken was dry, fried rice not as flavorful. Maybe it would be better under different circumstances, but i doubt i will go to this location again. Food was delivered fast and warm tho. Sorry i guess i had high expectations.

This place is absolutley, delicious!! Chicken wings have been a favorite for me, my entire life! It is definitely in my top 5 favorite foods to eat. The Korean chicken wings at this place has won over my heart without a doubt. It is so good that I nearly shed a tear, and not because of the heat. If I was forced to play the game, Would You Rather, Korean versus traditional American wings, Id have to give the edge to Korean. Although Bonchon is pretty pricey, I believe its worth it. I give this place a four, although its food is phenomenal, their chicken is almost as expensive as kfc or popeyes and its only drunk sticks, more and more places are charging an arm and a leg for chicken, WHY?Staff is always polite and friendly, but I would only go either by myself or once every 2 or 3 months because I am on the Keto diet, and just eating chicken will make you broke

Excellent customer service. I got the spicy chicken tenders, while my buddy got the soy garlic - note, these are the two flavors available. Spicy was very spicy, but I cant knock a Korean joint for super spicy food. Soy garlic was amazing. Takoyaki was great, and the bulgogi tacos are good as well. Draft beers are a bit small for $4, but they have Sapporo on tap, so Im inclined to let it slide.Will probably return if Im around.

I really didnt care for this place.. possibly because I had real high hopes. I felt like the honey chicken seasoning had almost a urine taste to it, the spicy and soy garlic chicken was really good. The buns tasted kind of like a really bland bahn mi sandwich. Not being able to substitute side dishes for an upcharge was another real annoyance because I dont like fries, rice, or pickled raddish. I want to try other things on the menu but I really wasnt a fan. I will admit the chicken was juicy, the batter was tasty. The spicy chicken was quite spicy (which I really like but would be concerned may be too much for others) the soy garlic chicken was really really good. The shumai was kind of bland and honey mustard did not compliment shrimp shumai, just saying it was not good. I did the 3 boneless honey wings but even this was not good as the batter was different and again had that unpleasant urine taste to it. I really wanted to like this place as it is something that would typically be right up my alley. However I can honestly say I wont be racing back to give them a second chance anytime soon. For the money it was quite disappointing. A better experience can be had at firewings, which I suspect is run by the same person because the menu layout was similar and it so was the decor. Dear firewings guy, I realize you cant win em all, but bonchon is not very good, you might want to go back to the drawing board on bonchon. That is just my humble opinion and perhaps I could be wrong, but it is how I feel.

[One point that stood out compared to other areas is the real customer care at this area.] If you havent tried Bonchon, what are you waiting for? If its because its costly- all right penalty, I absolutely get it because Bonchon is hella pricey! This is why I call it Bougie Bonchon Fried Chicken, yet although its expensive its so friggin -finger- lickin goooooood! I was introduced means back by my Vietnamese buddy, that likes fried chicken. She knows just how much I love spicy so upon my initial bite right into a Spicy Drumstick I was in heaven! The batter is something various, so various you cant actually contrast it to KFC or Popeyes for us. Believe it or not, the batter is so crispy I had actually heated up my leftovers and even on the 2nd day my drumstick still had a good crisis to it. Costly however worth it. Attempt it!

We usually go to the one on Laguna in Elk Grove so we were surprised this one is a take out place. Food is the same, and cheaper options are available so that is good. But I still like the one in Elk Grove for a sit down dinner with table service.

Its still Bonchon Chicken so you cant go wrong. However, not more than 25 minutes away is Elkgrove Bonchon which has tteokpokki. The sliders here in Arden are way better than Elk Groves though.

I heard from the staff at Bonchon in Elk Grove that another location was opening in Arden. Today was my first opportunity to visit the Arden location and the food was excellent, restaurant was clean and well organized...but I am also a Bonchon fan :-) The place wasnt busy when I arrived but was full of customers by the time I left.
