Bonchon Natomas
4740 Natomas Blvd Ste 120, Sacramento, CA 95835, United States
Made a large mobile order and there was a discrepancy in the online price versus what I was asked to pay when I arrived. New employee had charged me for dinner item instead of the lunch item, but we caught it and fixed it. No big deal! While I was waiting for me food the manager approached to apologize. I assured him it wasnt a problem. A few minutes later he brought me a free lychee strawberry drink. This is my love language!!We loved the food, and the service was top notch. The manager cares DEEPLY about customer satisfaction- I loved that he took care of me even though I wasnt complaining or even slightly upset.(Sharp contrast from a different restaurant I went to with a large group- they forgot half the orders so our table didnt get food until the other table had finished eating-they have free meals to the party members who complained but charged me full price since I was not complaining... It felt like punishment for being nice)Im still dreaming about my bulgogi tacos... Amazing!!Next time, Ill make time to eat there so everything is fresh, but even after a 30 minute drive home, the food was fantastic!

Bonchon Arden
1600 Ethan Way Unit 40, Sacramento, CA 95825, United States
This location out of the 3 Ive already been to outranks San Leandro and Berkeley which are gimmicks! Bon Chon Arden rocks because 1) the food is always freshly cooked 2) their fries are not hard but just right and that right amount of that delicious sauce on their Soy Garlic wings, and 3) Their Customer Service is always bubbly and warm... if there is a problem they wont argue you down or hassle you; they will just fix the problem. The down side to the other Bon Chons mentioned is:1) Food is always dried out and old.2) Wings are nearly burnt and take away the soy garlic taste3) Fries are very dried out and when confronted about it they try to bargain with you to pay for it because of inventory/ waste costs when they served you old food in the first place. When I confronted one if the waitresses specifically at the Berkeley branch (in a monotone respectful way) about the fries being dried out she said I can charge you a lower price and I had not tasted but 1.When I started to her that the fries and the wings does not taste like Sacramento Arden branch she stated: we are not then plus we carry a different vendor than they doYet, they are carrying the name of such great franchise. When I am away from Sacramento Bon Chon and in the Bay Area and experience this type Asian snobbishness... I thank God that Arden Bon Chon is NOT like San Leandro nor Berkeley. Makes me wonder if the rest in the Bay area are the same. I have tried San Francisco and I hope not. Please do not go to the locations mentioned if they cant make fresh food or do fries they advertise which should be nsync with Arden and not dry and cheap.

Namaste Sacramandu - Indo-Nepalese Fusion
1148 Fulton Ave A, Sacramento, CA 95825, United States
During my recent trip to Lake Tahoe, I had the pleasure of detouring and dining at a Nepalese restaurant that left a lasting impression. Located in the heart of the Sacramento, this gem offers an authentic taste of Nepal in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's decor is a delightful blend of traditional Nepalese elements and modern touches, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.We started our meal with the momo, traditional Nepalese dumplings, which were absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly tender, and the filling was flavorful and aromatic, accompanied by a spicy dipping sauce that added the perfect kick. For the main course, we opted for the chicken tikka masala and the lamb curry. The chicken tikka masala was rich and creamy, with tender pieces of chicken simmered in a spiced tomato sauce that was both comforting and complex in flavor. The lamb curry was equally impressive, with succulent pieces of lamb cooked to perfection in a fragrant, savory gravy. Both dishes were served with fluffy basmati rice and freshly baked naan, which were excellent for soaking up the delicious sauces. We also tried the dal bhat, a traditional Nepalese meal that included lentil soup, rice, and a variety of side dishes. This platter was a true representation of Nepalese cuisine, offering a variety of flavors and textures that were both hearty and satisfying. To complement our meal, we enjoyed a couple of unique Nepalese beers, which were a great accompaniment to the rich flavors of the food. The restaurant also offers a selection of wines and other beverages to suit different preferences. The service throughout our meal was impeccable, with the staff ensuring that our needs were met without being intrusive. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations based on our preferences.Overall, dining at this Nepalese restaurant in Sacramento was a delightful experience. The combination of authentic cuisine, warm hospitality, and a charming atmosphere made it a highlight of our trip. If you're in the area and looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit.

ABC Bakery
1309 Florin Rd F, Sacramento, CA 95831, United States
First time at this bakery and I havent had a lot of Dim Sum in general. This place pretty good in my opinion, especially for the price despite the rapid and constant price escalation since COVID.The workers here want you to be fast as they get really busy and are no nonsense fairly typical Asian food service that does to go only. They dont take same day phone orders (at least when I called on a Sunday) because they are extremely busy and make a limited supply of all items. When I arrived there were no Shanghai Soup Dumplings and I arrived before noon. Menu picture does not include all item prices.IMO its rare for a place, let alone a random little place like this to be as good as this place is. Despite its flaws, anyone in the area definitely must try this place.Pork Siu Mai - Huge partially wrapped pork meatball. Very large, meaty, chewy in a good way. Largest I have ever seen/eaten. Great flavor imo, although the size of them kind of skews the ratio of meat to wrapping that I like. Similar texture to that of vietnamese meatballs but with chunks of stuff inside. Worth a try for a great price.Egg tart - Soft and mildly sweet egg filling in a golden beautifully flaky crust. It was a solid egg tart, maybe the best Ive had (not many tried). I just have no desire to eat these so I wouldnt get them again.Shrimp dumpling/har gow - Shrimp and bamboo shoot in a translucently colored dumpling wrapper. I felt like it wouldve been really good... if it was fresher. Idk what the problem was, basically shrimp and bamboo shoot, but something tasted off/unfresh. Bamboo shoot tasted more like old asian man breath smell. Maybe it was a bad batch.Chicken Curry Bun - Soft semi sweet bun filled with a mild curry chicken filling. Good, fairly sweet however. Decent ratio of filling and flavor, not really spicy at all.Hotdog Bun - 4 chunky slices of hot dog evenly placed on a delicious semi sweet bun sprinkled with green onion. I like the hotdog to be more spread out but it was very delicious and looked great too.Bbq pork bun - Soft sweet bun filled with Chinese style BBQ Pork filling. Good, had that five spice kind of flavor, quite sweet but not sure if thats normal. My girlfriend didnt like the level of sweetness but I thought it was fine. Good ratio of filling to bun ?Pineapple buns - Soft bread with a delicious crust on top and fantastic custardy cream filling. Must get. It is very yummy. Sometimes the creamy filling is a little sparse but even just the bread is delicious. Reheated it in the air fryer and it tasted like a cinnabon. Not super pineappley if youre scared of that.Sesame balls - Sesame seed covered mochi balls filled with red bean. Must get. Best sesame balls Ive eaten (not tried many) delicious and fair size. Outstanding quality.Mochi pancakes - pan fried mochi pancake with filling. all quite good and I think I would crave the red bean and custard one occasionally, bbq pork filling was kind of lacking.Fried pork dumplings - Mochi like wrapper filled with spiced pork. Decent flavor of five spice and good amount of filling

Otos Marketplace
4990 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822, United States
In my opinion, the venerable Oto's Marketplace is easily the best Japanese grocery store in the Sacramento area. It's a mid-size store (bigger than a convenience store, smaller than a supermarket), but it packs an incredible array of goods. They have a small produce section, a fresh fish counter, a meat section, a household goods section, a beauty products section, a vast selection of dry food goods, a frozen food section, a takeout food (bento) section, and a sizeable drinks section that includes a some Japanese craft beers (e.g. Echigo, Coedo, etc). Basically, you can find pretty much anything you will need to make Japanese recipes. Their prices are reasonable and their popular bentos are affordable as well (e.g. salmon teriyaki bento for $8.95). The only downside to Oto's is that their parking lot is relatively small, so on weekends, it can be hard to find parking. You can usually find some street parking nearby and I've seen people park in the lot next door, although that's probably frowned upon. If you have time, you can also swing by the Mahoroba Japanese Bakery just north of Oto's to pick up an “an pan” or “cream pan” - yum.

Dumpling Yo
95831, United States, California, Sacramento, Florin Rd
Its a pretty good store, and the taste is really nothing to say. Let's talk about the advantages first. The Xiao Long Bao and Pan-fried Bao with fresh meat and shrimps we ordered were very delicious. The beef tendon in the beef noodles was very soft and tasty, and the crust of the beef burrito was very crispy and delicious. As for the disadvantage, the service is a bit poor. We came on Saturday at noon. There were many people in the store, but there were only two waiters, and the work efficiency was relatively low. Even though there was an empty table, they wouldnt seat us. So much so that we could only awkwardly stand in a small space at the door and wait for about 20 minutes before we could be seated. This is a pretty good restaurant and the taste is really beyond reproach. Starting with the positives, the pork and shrimp soup dumplings and pan-fried dumplings we ordered were very tasty. The beef brisket in the beef noodles was extremely tender and flavorful, and the pastry of the beef roll was very crispy and delicious. As for the downside, the service was a bit lacking. We went there on a Saturday noon when the place was packed, but there were only two servers who were not very efficient. Even when there were free tables, they wouldnt seat us. As a result, we had to awkwardly stand at a small spot by the door and wait for about 20 minutes to be seated.

Azayaka Japanese Fusion
8760 La Riviera Dr ste b, Sacramento, CA 95826, United States
The name sums it up pretty well - if my elementary Japanese is correct, Azayaka (pronounced: a̠za̠-ja̠ka̠) means Bright future which describes the restaurant quite well. The staff were helpful, the fish was fresh and the prices were good! I seldom see that combination at a sushi restaurant in Sacramento. The aesthetic of the restaurant is very modern, bright and upscale and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I had the pan fried pot-sickers, the Rich Asian roll and the sushi nachos. Everything was prepared rapidly and was exceeded my expectations.I plan on visiting again soon!

Element Sacramento Airport
3681 N Freeway Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95834, United States
EDITED REVIEW (read below, get a snack, this is long):Tonight, Bernard the AGM of the hotel called me and apologized for the incident below. He was extremely kind and understanding of my situation and explained that there are technical issues where the number of rooms available is different between the website and the front desk.Bernard was a consummate professional but also very friendly. He offered several solutions, and I appreciated the time and effort he took to try and make a bad situation better. Im still relocating but now it is out of convenience rather than anger. Im grateful for the kindness—I needed it, especially after having a very bad day today. I left that review while angry, and if I can give other customers advice, if you have an incident of poor customer service, sit with it for a bit before you go off online. Sometimes it really is just a misunderstanding and youll see it clearer after you stew for a bit.NOW FOR THE OTHER STUFF. This hotel is very nice, Clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. The rooms are well-appointed and I like how despite being directly next to the highway, I can barely hear the traffic except as a comforting hum. The beds are clean and comfortable and the bathroom and shower are spacious. I am in a suite and I really appreciate being able to cook for myself in a proper kitchen. Staff have been friendly. Elevators are a little scary but that might just be me. Location is aces, youre right next to 80 and 5, and Walmart, Target, Raleys, and Safeway, plus a myriad restaurants, are within a few minutes drive. There are EV charging stations and disabled parking close to the door. The free breakfast is pretty good. All in all, this is one of the better hotels in the Sacramento area, and more affordable than anything downtown. Having spoken to Bernard and hearing him out as he explained the situation, I would stay here again. I dont have much cause to be in Sacramento, but if I did have to come back I would look here for availability first.Thank you, Bernard. You are very good at your job and probably not paid nearly enough.Im going to leave this up so people can see how effective good customer service is. From my original review: I am in Sacramento because my father died suddenly on Valentines Day, 2024. I had to make an unexpected, 3000 mile trip from the east coast to California to handle his affairs. I am an only child and I am doing this alone with very little family support. Im stressed, traumatized, and grieving. As it turns out, a few days isnt long enough to close the curtain on someones life. I needed to extend my stay by three days, and when I asked if I could the woman at the front desk told me to just book the stay and theyd keep me in the same room. My current reservation ends on the 21st, so needed to book from February 21-24. Somehow, between the time I spoke to her and the time I got upstairs to book the room, the hotel magically sold out of any rooms on the 21st alone. I went to talk to the front desk again, and she offered to put me in a different room, a regular king—for over $200 more than I would have paid for the same room, had it not mysteriously disappeared in fifteen minutes. I am operating on a tight budget and a GoFundMe, so I cant afford to throw another $600 at a hotel when I also have to spend $2000 cremating my father, on my birthday, later this week.I booked another hotel for those extra days, and as soon as my stay here is complete I will relocate.(I told you this was long.)

Quickly
2100 16th St, Sacramento, CA 95818, United States
Drinks are always awesome. Boba is sometimes kind of hard in the center. Consistency with drinks and food depends on whos serving you. Most food is really, really good. For reference, I come to Quickly 1 to 4 times a week.I would usually give this place 5 stars, but this night ruined it for me.I usually get the popcorn chicken, but its been very raw, or slightly undercooked a few times the last few months. I get this item all the time because it usually rocks.Last night one of my two favorite workers, and a new one, were working. They sent me out with very pink, spongy chicken. I walked back to get it replaced, and it was worse than the first batch. Didnt realize until Id gotten home because I figured the first time was a fluke. Its been questionable before, but never straight up raw. 90% of the time its cooked perfectly. When I called for the second time, asking for a refund this time, the new person didnt know how to do it. I had to walk back to Quickly 3 times in one night. It felt like they were more annoyed at the hassle than anything and that sucked. One of my regular workers, who I thought I had great rapport with, was pretty cold. There was no apology, just I dont know why this has been happening. And then she said absolutely nothing to me the second time around. It happens - but it bummed me out that I spent like 45 minutes trying to get dinner home. They were out of one of my items and didnt say anything until we came to pick it up, and then the chicken was raw. In a $35 order, I only got two large teas and a side of masubi. I had two pieces of masubi to feed two people, and the refund would take 3-5 days.I gave two stars because I was sent home with raw chicken two times in one night and customer service regarding the issue left a lot to be desired.Edit: gave 4 stars because I havent had issues with the chicken since
