Great service gives it 5 stars. Food is Eh, but great experience for diy ordering and robots. I was seated promptly and when needed assistance the human interaction with the servers were great. Pro tip- if the person to your left is a hungry person or a bear they will eat all the food before it comes to you and you might have to wait a few more rounds😂

This is a nice revolving sushi restaurant! You grab whatever you want off the rotating conveyor belt or place orders for entrees and drinks on the ordering touchscreen by your table. Also they have a cool music playing robot that delivers your beverages to you. Its a great dining option for introverts and those who prefer minimal contact.

If your at the Glendale Galleria you have to try this place. Not just for the food, but the fun experience. To start off your drinks are served by a robot. Second you order everything from your booth. Third, different types of sushi go around for you to choose. If you don’t want that you order and it comes right to you on a conveyor belt.We ordered so many things. Everything was really good and very fulfilling. Definitely a go to.

I barely visit Glendale anymore, but I was surprised to see a Kura inside the Galleria. Wasn’t busy when I went. Orders came out quick if not already on the revolving belt. Menu isn’t all that large, but there’s something for everyone. They do offer rice bowls if that’s what you prefer or for the kids.

Super cool place! Love the sushi here and the prices are so good. We had 15 dishes between two people at 3.50 per plate and got a free capsule toy! Everything is high quality, down to the green tea. Our server was also very kind

Let me preface this review by saying I was very try skeptical of a place with high reviews where you could not see your food being made and the food travelled around the restaurant on a conveyor belt.All of those concerns were washed away when I saw how busy they were from the minute they opened and the welcoming friendly staff.For what I would consider a “non traditional “ sushi experience I have to say it was fun and the food was surprisingly good. I was able to try most items available during our 75 minute stay and can’t really say anything was not appetizing.I’ll for sure be back and am looking forward to visiting their little Tokyo location as well.

Love this place!!! Came with the family and the robots serve your drinks. Its entertaining and enjoyable. The best part is the food that comes in small portions so you can try a lot of different dishes.Highly recommend to come here! They welcome everyone with a big hello that is so loud that it makes you feel welcomed the moment you arrive.

This review is based on conveyor belt/boat type sushi spots. Im not comparing this to traditional Japanese sushi bars or restaurants. With that, here we go. Always good quality and the food tastes great. The selection is good, and the hot food that you order on the screen comes out quick and fresh. I dare say the crunch hand roll, with a fresh tempura shrimp and imitation crab salad wrapped in either nori or soy paper, holds up to anywhere Ive been to. I enjoy the automated robot that brings your drinks and plays fun music. And the monitor game that counts your plates and dispenses a random toy is always interesting, even as an empty nester. Lol. Highly recommend, although line may be long on weekends.

Fun concept for a conveyor belt sushi joint! This joint reminded me of my travels to Tokyo because of the quirky tech. Not the food though, just the tech...I arrived an hour before closing on a Friday night for a table for 1 and still had a 30 min wait. Luckily, its in the mall with quirky shops around and they text you updates.$3.65 every plate. The plates arent color coded for price. Theres a sensor on top of the lid when you pull the plate. Then when youre done, you shove the plates in the chute in front of you, which turns out to be pretyy fun!And you order other items via the tablet above your head and they slide it to you with precision on the 2nd level shelf. However, I didnt notice descriptions on the items. Whats in a tiger roll? Whats in a crunchy dragon roll? Who knows. Just order it and try it. (Probably sucks for dietary restricted people, they should have a filter feature on the tablet).A server never came to me but did introduce themselves to the couple next to me. Ordered a water with the tablet and it never arrived (user error?). Probably because I was by myself and they didnt notice. However, the server I waved down was really helpful with my questions.I ate about 9 plates so it came out to around $40 before tip. Is that a good deal? The food was nothing to rave about but I do stuff my face more than the average person. So price is okay... I do wish they had more sushi variety. Got bored quick with the sushi plates.Fun concept to introduce to friends/family, but I probably wont be a frequent attendee.

Food is good and a great business idea to have the food revolving because you’re only going to grab what you will want to eat. We had fun in this place and enjoyed eating here! Great place and we are definitely regular customers but I do wish they could be more consistent with their cooking. Our favorite is the salmon skin and some days it’s amazing! Flavorful, scrunchy and just the skin! Some days it’s soggy, barely cooked, mostly fried salmon, no skin, and barely any flavor… come on chef!!

We love this place! The concept is awesome ❤️, you get to try diferent sushis and rolls that you never order because you dont know they existed. Fun place to eat. The revolving belt makes choosing food fun and dangerous. They have a lot of selection and they also have this game where you dump your plates in a slot and you win silly prices. The quality is OK and some nigiri are a bit on the small side.However, I did say dangerous because you get rid of the plates not knowing how much food you have consumed and the choices keeps on going so you end up just getting whatever.TIP: Never come here hungry, the fun of all of it will get to you and you will end up broke. Hahaha!

This is not a gourmet sushi place. If youre looking for great sushi, keep looking, you havent found it. But if youre looking for a fun place to have some ok sushi, then this is it! Plates of pre made sushi go by on a belt and you can also order specific plates from a screen, drinks are brought by a serving robot, prizes drop via a chute for every 15 plates. Like I said FUN!The bean filled fried dough, fish shaped dessert seed with ice cream is a must at the end, so make sure you leave some space.

We checked in via the Kura app and it let us know that there was a 150 min wait so we decided to walk around the mall and about 90 mins in, we got a text saying to return to the restaurant. We got seated about 10 mins later and service was amazing. The servers kept checking on us and making sure we were ok. Im sad they took tamago egg sushi off the menu but everything else was yummy. The takoyaki was hot and amazing. Our favorite sushi was the garlic ponzu salmon. Everything was fresh and well be back for sure.

Used to be good. Recent experience was horrible. The server placed order and counted that its 8 sushi plates for the order. She never came back with the check, nor tell us how long it will take. 20 min later we asked if we can pay first, but she just walked away. Another server was able to handle the check for us about 15 min later. We were charged 9 sushi plates, but in fact, when we got our food 15 min later, there were only 8. When we asked the original server about the mistake, she just left without saying a word. The manager then came out and complained to us that we were mean to her employee, and said she would have to process the refund the next day due to they already closed the register. Of course, I never received the refund. Oh, the food also didnt taste as good, probably because it was left on the table for a while. That server just pack our food and continue to pack others, instead of bringing it out to us after we asked about our food.

Ive been to a revolving sushi restaurant before, but this was more fun! (In my opinion.)If the item you want isnt on the conveyor belt, you can order it off the screen and it arrives on a separate belt directly above the regular one. Instead of stacking your plates by color, you put your empty plates in the chute and it tallies your total, plus whatever more expensive items you order off the screen.Once you hit 5 plates, a cartoon plays on the screen. For every 15 plates, you get a prize from the dispenser above the screen. (We got a button.)My cousin who lives in LA had never been to one before, so I was thrilled to introduce her to revolving sushi. She said she will DEFINITELY be back!(The reason our bill was so high is because we were determined to get two prizes, but had to throw in the towel with only 2 to go 😂)Very good!!!

We love this place and come almost weekly, but with that being said, we never grab the fish from the conveyor belt. We will grab edamame or watermelon, but NEVER the fish. It’s usually warm or the covers are open. It feels scary in a sense since fish shouldn’t be warm like that.If you order from the tablet to be sent to your table straight from the kitchen though, it’s AMAZING! I feel bad saying that since the whole appeal to this place is the belt, but it’s just my experience.Staff is always great and always know how to keep things light even when the wait time is insane.We love this place and can’t wait to go back!

This was my first visit. Sushi is delivered on two separate conveyor belts. You can select already prepared sushi from one conveyor belt or order what want from an automated menu. Your order is afterwards delivered in a second conveyor belt.The scallop was good as was the salmon though not exceptional though the tuna was quite delicious.I was told that if you visit on Fridays or weekends, expect a long wait. I was told the best times to visit are Monday thru Thursday and preferably during the day. However, you can use their app to request a table.

The quality of the sushi has really gone down while the price continues to go up. It is especially noticeable at this Glendale location. I understand inflation plays a role but at a certain price point, quality trumps quantity. In this case, Kura is neither quality nor price positive. So there’s really no reason to eat here except for the novelty of the sushi train, which surprisingly is less and less common. It probably means most people recognize that this is just gimmick and not worth the price premium.

The only conveyor belt sushi bar still left in Glendale. The chain is decent enough, and this local version does the job. Quite popular on the weekends and can even draw a large enough amount of people during the weekdays, so I would recommend that you sign up for the queue ahead of time.

Didnt have a great experience the last time I went. They didnt do a good job with the waiting list, they seated someone on the waiting list who was 3 spots behind us before us. I had lunch there yesterday around 3pm, and witnessed something I have never seen before... The host who was wearing gloves touched his face about 106 times, then touched a mobile device, then completely covered the eating surface of the soy dishes with his hands, we made a point to not use the dishes. Then dear reader, he ran someones credit card and USED THE CREDIT CARD TO SQUEEGEE THE SWEAT OFF HIS FOREHEAD.I REPEAT, HE USED SOMEONE ELSES CREDIT CARD TO WIPE THE SWEAT FROM HIS BROW.I have never seen this action before in my entire life.I hope I dont need to explain how nauseating this was to witness.The gloves are a terrible idea, it would be so much more sanitary to have the employees wash and sanitize their hands frequently.Food was good for revolving sushi, which Im definitely not above eating.Im just really questioning the sanitation here!

This place is filthy! I had frequent trips to bathroom when I got home right after. They use ONE dirty wet towel to clean ALL the tables & chairs AND to wipe off the soy bottles. They dont pick up the food spills on the table, they wipe-off and drop them onto the floor. Youll be surprise when you see how they clean the table between the customers. The sushi are all paper thin & dried up. The constant empty conveyer belt due to not enough chefs & staffs.Just spent more and get decent authentic sushi!...Not worth waiting 30 min.... Worst than all you can eat buffet places.

Got stomach virus right after eating here. Only ordered a roll of salmon roe (4 small pieces) about 4 bucks while I was randomly in the area. Havent ate outside in a long time and was craving sushi. I shouldve checked the bad reviews on here first. But I didnt think it would get so bad that Id actually get sick and get a fever from this. My head was hurting really bad. Ive just recovered but i had to take activated charcoal to get the bad stuff absorbed from my body. Missed my chance but someone really needs to sue this restaurant. They arent changing their ways even after these negative reviews and customer complaints. If you cant get fresh supplies like all other restaurants due to the times we are in, at least warn your customers before they get sick from eating it...

Fun place for kids to get sushi. Grab whatever you want to eat from a conveyor belt, deposit empty plate into a chute and at the end, you get charged for the number of plates. Used to be great. Not anymore. The belts roll by nearly completely empty, for the entire dining experience. When you order on the menu board, they are serving actually bad fish. Rancid, and scary tasting bad fish. Rolls look like they were prepared by a blind kindergartener. They are a MESS, uneven, and not at all what they should be. Service was not good, and the wait was almost an hour. After complaining about the bad fish, the “Head Server” gave us a bill for the food still sitting uneaten on the table, despite being told that the reason it wasn’t eaten was because it was spoiled. She quickly blamed it on the computer. I would never come back to this location.
