My friends and I were craving sushi after a long day stuck in traffic and stumbled upon Miyuki. The restaurant is super cute and has a homie feel. We got there right when it opened and were told to sit wherever we wanted. We sat outside, and our waiter quickly got our drinks in. We were confused about how the menu worked, so we figured out how to order because our waiter was nowhere to be found after bringing our drinks out. We hoped the menu had pictures of the sushi rolls for reference, but no images. Also, we were hoping they had more specialty rolls. We all felt like they had a lot of rolls, but they were basic, and their spicy rolls were not spicy. Our visit was okay overall; we would suggest having pictures/visuals for reference.

Small intimate atmosphere and cozy setting. The selection was fresh and appealing. The service was prompt and informative. And the food that we had ordered tasted delicious. This was our third time there so we feel very confident that we can expect to enjoy each future visit.

Wonderful Japanese Food! Easily the best Japanese restaurant in all of Watsonville. Got the Sesame Chicken and the California Roll. The chicken has amazing flavor! The California Roll tasted fresh and the tobiko adds a nice crunch.

Surprised to see so many great reviews. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. I got the udon with tempura and the udon tasted like they may have watered down the broth to stretch it out towards the end of the night and the tempura was really soggy and greasy. My friend ordered a tuna roll that the server recommended and she said it wasnt very good. It was nice that the server took half off my when he realized I didnt eat much of it.

Best sushi in the county hands down! Could give Monterey county a run too! Prices are absurdly inexpensive for the quality and everything! Seriously if you like sushi, this is the spot in Santa Cruz and Monterey county that I recommend and I been living here since 1990 if that tells you anything. Thanks Miyuki!

We got sat down and it took about 35 minutes for them to take our order. 2 tables that got seated after us got their orders taken almost immediately. i had to get up and tell the hostess that we hadn’t been helped yet and instead of acknowledging me or apologizing and saying that they’ll be right with us she IMMEDIATELY walked away and left me standing there??? the food wasn’t great wasn’t bad but the service was horrible

Very good sushi. Service was... well, they seemed as if everyone was running around without assigned tables. Everyone helped us and no one really helped us. We had to get up to get spoons for our soup after 5 minutes of waiting.For the kids they have a special miso soup with extra tofu in it and a small bowl of rice. Wish more sushi places had that option, nice touch.

This is hands down one of the best sushi places I have ever tried! Everything was so tasty and the fish felt fresh. I definitely recommend getting the Dynamite Scallops they were so soft and not at all chewy or tough even though they were baked. We ordered the tree hugger roll, kyoto roll, gina roll and the fried philly roll. The restraunt is cute and quaint and has a nice little back area to eat outdoors. The girl who was the host at the front was very nice and friendly.

“J” was our server. She was very attentive and I loved her energy! I could have had an hour long conversation with her. It doesnt matter how good the food is if you cant eat it.After waiting 40 minutes to be seated (15 minutes of which were spent staring at the completely prepared table we would eventually be seated at because they didnt want us to sit before the party of seven that arrived less than a minute before us, even though it would not affect when they were seated.)Literally ten minutes later we were asked about drinks and told someone would be by to take our orders, which we were ready for less than a minute after being seated and conveyed as best we could through eye contact and putting the menus aside.Twenty minutes later, no sign of anyone to take our order, we finally left.I have literally never done that before, and wish I did soonerWe drove ten minutes down the road to a different sushi restraunts and had been sat down, order taken, and given complimentary edamame within ten minutes.The food here might be great, but absolutely do not go or order while youre actually hungry.

This place was wonderful. I came during October and they had the place decorated for Halloween so the atmosphere was great from the start. The service was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious. I got sushi and miso soup and both were great. The fish was fresh and the soup was perfect. I would definitely come here again.

Went here with our family of 4 adults and one toddler. The service was great, the food was all really good (foundational stuff, all executed very well) and they had nice touches for our 2 year old, including miso soup full of tofu that wasn’t too hot for him. I would definitely go here again!

A great spot to bring friends from out of town and have a fantastic meal that rivals the best sushi restaurants anywhere in the word.The tataki appetizer is the most delicious thing I have ever tasted.The oyster shooters?!? Just the right amount of spicy, texture, tasty treat with a Zhang! Keep them coming. Have yourself a special roll… ANY special roll, you’ll love it - but a personal favorite is the Nikki.

Low quality fish, fish taste off, some taste like dirt others taste very fishy. Sushi rice is on the hard side (get ready to chew) and you get a lot of rice in your rolls. Impossible (for me at least) to order on the phone. Had to drive to restaurant to order then wait 25 min for my food. Forgot to put soy sauce in our bag. It’s sad people in the area think this is good sushi.

Probably the best sushi in Watsonville. All the rolls Ive had there have been outstanding. I also really like their appetizers, the scallops dynamite is out of control. Ive tried the noodles, not the best but the broth is pretty good, Id stick to sushi and sashimi. I would steer clear of the hot sake, what ever brands they switched to is pretty bad, if you need sake get one of the more expensive brands they offer.

It came with miso and a typical salad of iceberg lettuce, a slice of tomato and red cabbage with a delicious sesame dressing. The miso was quite good, but standard. Very balanced and light flavors.We also ordered Rainbow roll, unagi-avocado roll, and ume-shiso roll. All were standard. The Rainbow roll was prepared with a clear seaweed sheet on top that made it appear plastic but it added no overt flavor to the roll, which was delicious and fresh.Service: friendly and helpful, prompt and relaxedPrice: fair and good for what we orderedOverall Impression: This is one of the only quality restaurants open till 9 on a weeknight in Watsonville. It feels like a family-owned place that has been there for over 25 years. It is serving good, quality Japanese food and I would recommend it to anyone who is used to standard Japanese food in the US. My favorites Japanese restaurant in SC county. I lived in Japan for 6 years, and Miyuki is the closest thing to real Japanese food (ie, not just sushi rolls) that Ive found anywhere around here. My wife is from Japan and she says having Miyuki right here in Watsonville is one of the main things that keeps her happy, living so far from home. Everything is very good. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is fantastic. Service can be slow when its very busy, but that cant really be helped... I recommend the chawan-mushi, especially - if you havent tried it, you really should. 5 stars, for sure.
