The shrimp here werent fresh and carried an off-putting smell. Considering its an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) spot, the price is reasonable. However, for those like me who cant eat much, the limited choices might leave you wanting more. Its not my go-to place, but still worth a try if youre looking for an affordable AYCE option.

We went there with a,large group of 15 to 20 people. It was a group of online friends meeting for the first time. The organizer was delayed and things got a bit confusing for our servers. They managed to work everything out for us and were really troopers about it.The food was pretty food. We had a very tasty Korean pancake (pajeon) and bibimbap. One of the bibimbap had a lot of fat, but the other one was great. They gave us a bottle of watermelon soju, which was very nice. Overall it was a good experience.

My old pay Rosewood Blankskacker was in town for a Hurrly Winzip Tournament at the Oakland Colosseum and had a day off before the finals, so he called me to critique his form and grab a bite to eat. I dont know why I need to critique his play because hes the number 4 player in all of Asia. And the food....Ohgane Oakland Restaurant was his first choice for Korean BBQ and what a great surprise it was, the food was amazing! I love Korean BBQ and all the aromas coming from the grills will light up your senses. 5 stars. ☆☆☆☆☆

The server refuses to seat us at a table with 2 grills. Had the audacity to ask us to pay for an extra persons all you can eat price to seat us at a table with two grills. Imagine 7 people cooking on 1 grill. By the way there were open tables. They told us all of the opens are reserved when we kept pressing. Why even suggest us to pay for an invisible person in the first place if you dont have open tables? Greed. Anyway we ate our whole meal slowly with 1 grill. Those tables remained open the entire time.Not to mention we order tons of sides dishes and alcohol. Food was good but service from the host was trash. Server was good. Place was so loud you have to scream to communicate across the table.Would not go again consider there are plenty of good Korean BBQ in the Bay area.

Tried seafood pancakes, beef bimbimap, chicken sushi, pork bbq with Korean glass noodles. It’s nice, but could be better in terms of flavor and quantity. Quantity is pretty less compared to other Korean restaurants in the same level as theirs. Good customer service. There’s parking too.

Really good korean barbecue! The basic option has a ton of meat, fish, and vegetables. The pork belly, octopus, squid, and bulgogi were all great. There was a good selection of side dishes (panchan), and they had sweet pancakes (hotteok) for dessert.

Ive never had the opportunity to eat Korean BBQ before and I definitely needed some instructions on how to order. The servers were very helpful in explaining the options- a la carte or all you can eat style. The two person meat platter feels like its actually for four people! Watch out for the charge on the all you can eat menu for leftover meat- its intended so you dont waste your food. Everything was so, so tasty! Every dish. I dont think you can go wrong with this menu. And cooking at your own table is definitely entertaining, if you choose to do that. I love that they have the button at the table to call for a server so they dont have to awkwardly hover and you get what you need quickly. 10/10 would happily go back.

I bought the card from Costco 3 months ago and never get the chance to try. Until my friend recommended it to me last week, I finally went with my family on Tuesday.We tried the lunch buffet. The food quality and quantity are both great! Service was nice. Price is reasonable too! The kimchi and tofu stew are nice too. Just hope they can give more items on lunch menu. I recommended to my friends who loves BBQ right away.

Im usually not a AYCE type of eater. Not even when Im in Las Vegas! But, I really cant complain when its a place my friends want to go to and they are buying!Ive been to the Oakland location many times and this was my first time at the newer Alameda location. Big space, modern, and well ventilated. Love the variety of K-BBQ items and sides. My favorite item here is the thin beef brisket. We chose the Premium menu which is $38.99 per person. For the amount and quality of food, well worth the price! Add some small little pours of soju, its a complete meal.

Me and my 2 buddies went on Saturday July 29.We got there at 1045pm & closing is at 1200am and these guys kick us out at 1130 with only 3 minutes of heads up at 1127.They brought our last order at around 1115.We had to leave the food we paid for because they didnt tell us they were closing early until 3 minutes before closing. We had thought we had 45 minutes to finish our last order.I had even gave my waiter a 50 because we were enjoying ourselves, only for him to not give any heads up at all.15 minutes is not enough time to finish an order, and it pisses me off that they knew they were closing early and only told us way after we received our last order right before they closed.We spent 200 and didnt get to finish our food because of no notice of early closing.The first order at least tasted good, I guess.When we got there I was wondering why it was empty on a Saturday night...

I think the staff is a little short. We would ring the bell and and try to ask for help and we would be ignored and wait 10-15 minutes before someone coming to ask if we need anything. We would be more understanding if they acknowledged that they were a little short staffed. We had to go pick up our own water pitchers and refill them.Overall though, the staff was friendly and they delivered the food quickly after we were able to get our orders in.

Total came out to $59 + tip, tax and associated fees. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the order included some banchan (broccoli, kimchi, fish cake, sprouts, etc.) and white rice.We ordered ahead and got the grill going so we were ready to cook when the food arrived. Everything tastes great! The stew/soup ($11) is enough to feed four people. Great deal.

Not bad. A pretty run of the mill KBBQ all you can eat. Loud pop music (but not kpop) and the standard service. I like that theyre open late. Happy hour is late too. Other than that, its not really stand out. I actually think their appetizers are somewhat lackluster.A lot of places offer some wings that are cooked or something but this place is just fries and not so good dumplings, etc. You can pay extra for the appetizers you might hope to see, however.Cool they have a little library in the waiting room. Not sure Ill come back but I dont regret my time here. It was just another KBBQ option but the only one open at the hour we went.Service was nice and pretty friendly. Parking lot is limited, drove in with my truck and they accommodated by letting me park where employees park. Service was amazing and workers very attentive to our requests. We took to the basics, brisket, beef short ribs, mixed veggies, & shrimp with cajun sauce on the side. Came in on a Saturday night 11pm after the County Fair and to my surprise no wait time! Its really a popular restaurant, so dont expect any service here. In fact it felt like theyre rushing us out even though they have 2 hours timeframe for each table. We didn’t even try the food, as our car had its windows busted out within minutes of our arrival and our belongings were stolen. According to the assistant manager, a group of 4 thieves make their way through the parking lot every day and hold attendants at gunpoint to break into vehicles. This happened to us this evening and we packed up and left.Apparently it happens every day at this location. I lost two laptops, my house and car keys, and a number of clothing articles. If you come here I would recommend not having anything in your vehicle.

GREAT food but WARNING : pay attention to the other reviewers who say their car was broken into here! I didn’t heed the warning and it happened to me.HOWEVER, if you are dropped off here, I would recommend it. The service was great. They checked in many times and changed the grill often. There aren’t many side dishes was a little disappointing but the meats were plentiful and replaced frequently. I was happy with the meal and the experience. But unfortunately we’ll never be back because of the danger of car window smashing at this establishment. We parked IN THEIR PARKING LOT and by the door with nothing visible in the car and well lit. If they had some sort of doorbell and came to open the gate or had an automatic gate that they controlled I think customers would be fine to wait for them to open the gate to minimize the risk of having their car vandalized. Great, friendly staff. Good food, fair prices but unsafe location. I’m not the first or second that has commented window smashing here. I specifically avoid Oakland because of the crime. Smashed the back passenger window and lowered the seat to check the trunk. Now nothing even needs to be visible for them to smash your window they just want to check the trunk. Oakland is a problem and I avoid visiting here but this place is a good stop if you Lyft. I recommend it, but at your own risk with your car.

Food was okay. Basic meat with little to no flavor at all. Almost as though all the meat had the same flavor. Not many side dishes to compliment the meat either. I’ve had lots of AYCE Korean and this might be the at the bottom of my list. Not to mention that some of the meat brought out had black spots within the meat itself. The brisket was gray in color. Price didn’t match what I expected In my own opinion. The service lagged kindness as well. Good place but wouldn’t recommended it as your first time KBBQ personally.

This place is a bit pricier than other Korean ayce bbqs. However, with the extra price you pay comes the higher quality. Their short ribs were amazing and so was the premium steak. The pork jaw was nice and fat (size). Normally other places give you small pieces. This place did not disappoint.Overall experience is the same as any other kbbq place. I came here years and years ago and hated it so I was hesitant to return just based off of that memory.Anyways, was talked into going, and it was the opposite of my last experience. The entire gang loved it.All you can eat for $29/person. Online reservations through Yelp, good quality meats, recommendations from our server, they were constantly swinging by to switch out the grills, and good ventilation so you dont leave smelling completely of meat. They also have buzzers at the table so you dont have to try and flag someone down every time you need something.They have a super tiny parking lot but all 8 of us found street parking at 7 on a Saturday night. This place is a must go for a fun night are great food. The KBBQ experience was great, ordering from a great selection of meats and cooking to your liking on the tabletop grill. The food at this place is alright but the points I list below is totally detracting this place from being worth going:1. The biggest problem of this place is the service. For all-you-can-eat we had to order stuff all the time but this place is apparently understaffed and we had to wait minutes after finishing all the food on our table to get a server. In this case I really recommend this place to get an online order system that customers can directly put things in.2. This place is dishonest. They tiered the menu and as you pay for what tier of food you order and you stay with that menu. However, if you accidentally ordered one item from the menu on an upper tier, they will NOT inform you of that and charge you the rates of the upper tier. This was exactly what happened to us. We ordered the premium menu but accidentally ordered one item from the supreme menu, and our bill automatically hopped up 20 dollars for each of the four of us! They tried to rationalize this by offering an option to pay for the supreme item we ordered but they price single orders ludicrously high so it is not an option. This is a dishonest act against consumers, as we must be informed and consent to any upgrade that we are getting. On the other hand, if we were actually doing the upgrade, we would have ordered other items that belong to the supreme menu. Immediately after that meal, I wrote to the restaurant and have not since heard from them. I feel extremely indignant and am spending (and wasting) 10 minutes of my life to write this review and share our experience toward all potential customers.3. The neighborhood is unsafe. The parking lot of this place is small and quickly fills up so you will likely park on the street. You will be immediately impressed by the glass shards on the ground that indicate constant window smashing. I unfortunately took the odds and had a broken window to fix. If you do want to come to this place, please find yourself a safe place to park.

There were only 3 of us because 2 others that were with us left due to the wait to take our order. We cooked our food at the table and ate it. All was well until we paid the check. Paid 89.00 bucks to be told that we weren’t able to take our little bit of leftovers we had home. Waiter told me I would have to pay an additional $35.00 to have it packed up and taken home. He said they don’t pack up leftovers from the all you can eat meal because it’s all you can eat. I don’t understand that logic. The food is great and the all you can eat is totally worth it its definitely expensive but for all you can eat meat and sides totally worth it especially if you come during happy hour (after 10pm). A little lame they have an extra service charge for groups of 6+ besides that no complaints

I really enjoy coming here because this place has changed a lot in a good way. Ive been coming here for about five six years now and it only gets better. There is a parking lot so you dont have to worry about street parking. I like how the main entrance is at the end of the parking lot and theres a nice waiting room that can be converted into a dining area so if they really needed the space people can eat there or people can wait there. The place is very organized and you have to do there all you can eat barbecue because the price is just cheaper than ordering one thing at a time. The food is very tasty and of course you cook your own food so you can have it as burnt you want

This was the first time me, my friend, and little sister went out to eat korean BBQ. We were nervous at first because we didn’t know what to get. But our waiter Sulki was so awesome and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. He offered us his favorite meats and told us the different sides. He was awesome and made the vibe feel really nice .I would recommend this restaurant to anyone .Very good customer service and the food was amazing .

I love coming over from SF to enjoy this tasty KBBQ. Staff are attentive and quick to bring out the dishes. It didnt take us long to get seated (party of 3) but the wait time between orders was too long so a lot of our 2 hour time limit was wasted on waiting for food that never came out. Not many all you can eat KBBQ places in the East Bay compared to South Bay or Southern California especially so the prices arent very competitive around here and it gets pricey, but it doesnt get much better than this. The quality of the meats at Ohgane are great. I love getting the tofu soup on the side. Staff are helpful and friendly, and will initiate and help grill for you on occasion if they arent too busy. It gets packed and parking is hard to find at times. There is a tiny parking lot that gets double parked so youll have to find street parking in the sketchy streets at the back. Take all your belongings with you. Thankfully theres a TV in the waiting area when you have to wait for 15-30 minutes.I do have to say, for dinner, the selection of meats and types of marinations of meats were more limited in the selection in comparison to places like Gen in the South Bay.

Amazing KBBQ place with a solid happy hour deal. The Hawaiian Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Belly, Ribs and Brisket were all super tasty. I prefer to have their lunch combos here. But their Bento boxes are not bad either. Make sure you go on an empty stomach because you end up getting quite a bit for your meal. My meat choice was grilled short ribs which were tasty. You also get rice, a big soup, a Korean egg souffle, a fried fish and the banchan (a variety of kimchis). The banchan wasnt that great. It tasted like it was left out in the open for a very long time. My guess is the little dishes were prefilled the day before and stored in the fridge.Service was good overall. A group of young people work hard to keep this place going.Personally I hate food cooked in front of me. You end up smelling like barbeque at the end of the meal. Plus your nice clothes get spoiled. Therefore, I usually opt out of the grill to be turned on in our table.By the way parking is hellish in this area. Luckily the restaurant has a parking lot next to it.

I recently visited the restaurant with my mom and my friend Lynn, and the three of us enjoyed our time.Lynn loved the Soon Tofu Stew and ordered many bowls, and we had unlimited charcoal grilled BBQ which we all really enjoyed! Our server, Chris Cho, served excellently and was very polite with a positive attitude. We never had to wait more than was expected, and he always checked on us to see if we needed anything.This was my Lynns first time at this location, and she comes from Los Angeles where there are many Korean food options. Food is good. however service is terrible, especially when you are of certain race. They will slam your food, rush you to order and watch you wait at the door for as long as possible. Literally every time my coworkers or I come in they will let us wait but the moment a white or Korean person walks in they rush to seat them it’s very discouraging and hurtful that in today’s time all cultures are not appreciated. All you can eat charcoal Korean BBQ with all the basics and more. Dont be confused with the Ohgane in Korea/Asia as this restaurant is completely unrelated. Theres also an a la carte option, but the AYCE is most likely the better deal if you have the stomach for it. During lunch they also have appetizers, rice bowls, stews, soups, and noodles.At $26.99 for dinner and $17.99 for lunch, its not exactly cheap, and unfortunately they had run out of some things like the garlic and peppers. I really liked the sauces they had here like the sesame oil and salt. Pretty good selection of banchan and the spring salad was quite refreshing. I also liked the other dishes like the steamed egg and the tofu soup was not bad! Of course, the highlight was the meats and my favorites were the bulgogi, brisket, garlic pork belly, and the LA short ribs.Wish they had a call button for the waiters as the service was pretty spotty and it was difficult to grab the attention of the waiters to order more meat, get a grill change, and also follow up on refills of things like drinks and banchan. K-BBQ is a pretty high maintenance ordeal Ive come to realize. Expect around a 30 minute wait during peak hours, but at least they have a large seating area for waiting.I might be back again for lunch, but its not as worth it for dinner. It also gets pretty crazy on weekends and the service really deteriorates...but still a solid option for Korean BBQ.

Amazing food, but the little baby octopi are so scary to eat. They eerily perform a macabre dance of death on the barbecue whilst being prepared on the table. The place is easily accessible if you are on the Hwy 101 near Oakland and craving for some Korean cuisine. It does look upscale but we found the prices to be fairly moderate. The staff is courteous and they do have more tables than the place actually can feel from the outside. I tried their Korean Kimchi rice, Lunchbox (Beef) and Spicy Ramen noodles with Beef. The quantity is as expected and overall taste is 90% close to what you could expect from a good Korean dining place.

We came here for Sunday lunch and fortunately, we got seated immediately. They are on Yelp Waitlist so it might be good to check that out first to see if theres a long wait. You can get your name added to the waitlist even before getting to the place.While the Alameda branch seems bigger and personally is in a better area (its in a strip mall so there are other shops to visit before/after eating), this is closer to our place so we decided to check them out as well. There is parking lot beside it which is good because parking in this area can be pretty tough. Lot is not that big though, so I can imagine it getting packed during peak hours.Wait staff are generally friendly (except for one fellow who seems to be unhappy serving us, but whatever). Since weve been to a few K-BBQ places, we knew what to expect and want from their extensive menu. Ohgane is one of the better AYCE Kbbq places in NorCal. The meats are high quality and super fresh. However this place can get SUPER busy! Best to reserve or add yourself in the waitlist on YelpOnce you are seated, the table already has an accoutrements of sides dishes. The AYCE menu has a list of different meats/cuts (less than other places, which is fine) that you can order and grill yourself. Its one of the best places to go with groups of friends to drink and stuff yourselves with deliciously grilled food.The main thing that knocks the review down is the small amount of meat that comes per order, and how hard it is to track down someone to place a new order.

Oooohhh, Korean barbecue....always leaves a smile on my face :). Also leaves that memory on my clothes. It was my first time at this resto and I took the train to get here. Will you believe that!? No regrets though. Ill do it again...and again, and again. I especially liked the bulgogi beef and the cubed steak. All their meats were well marinated when it got to the table and the seafood...what else can I say? This is a fun place to go with friends. Ate a lot of korean bbq, with a group of ~25. I never tried kbbq but I dont think its for me; it wasnt as tasty as I think it could be but that might be because of how kbbq is regularly seasoned.The service was timely enough, given we had such a big group.My main complaint is that the smoke from the bbq was all over the place; there should have been a fan or something. My second complaint is that the music was hip hop (trap and mainstream stuff) which was a little weird but it does seem like the place is for college students/younger people.
