Daol Tofu & Korean BBQ
4301 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 94609, United States
Recently, Ive had a lot of friends move to the state and country of Texas! They tell me about the many different reasons why it makes so much sense to move there ( cheaper gas?) and the bonus of getting Real BBQ. For me, Its a No thank you for now! Still love the ? rainbow of people, culture, and FOOD of the Bay!Daol is a comfortable and relaxing homey Korean restaurant in Oakland. Warm tofu soup and sizzling bbq items here. The dolsot bibimbop has beautiful colors and vegetables. A great dish that represents the mix and colors of the Bay.

Jong Ga House
372 Grand Ave, Oakland, CA 94610, United States
Not as trendy or upscale as the newer Korean restaurants in Alameda, Jong Ga house serves solid traditional Korean fare in old locale on Lakeshore Avenue in oakland. The building and interior is reminiscent of an old restaurant you might see in downtown Seoul. The downstairs is devoted to BBQ with a few tables for other dining. Theres a room upstairs for non BBQ diners. Its an old karaoke room.Food wise, we liked what we ordered with the exception of the fried chicken . The seafood pancake was good with a hefty portion. Pan fried oysters were cooked inside a scrambled egg pocket. Fishy to some, delicious to us.The fried chicken appetizer was not good..soggy on the outside and dry flavorless on the inside. Avoid this one.The short rib beef bone soup was fantastic. Smoky and intensely flavorful, its delicious. Its pricey thoughAs with most Korean restaurants, everything seems to be made from scratch. Its labor intensive and that probably explains the higher prices.Portions are fairly and Prices are moderate as Korean food can get expensive. They have an all you can eat BBQ offer as well.similar to Gogi time or Gen BBQ.Street parking can be difficult and the neighborhood is a little gritty, especially at night.Jong Ga has been around for a long time. I expect it to be around for many years to come. Give it a try if you find yourself in the area.

Ohgane Oakland
3915 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94611, United States
Love Korean food. The best perk of eating at Korean restaurants is that they give you 10 different side dishes before your main entreé. We ordered our usual favorite, the Galbi, its amazingly delicious here. The interior of the restaurant isnt your normal Korean BBQ eat out. Though they have a grill and vent for each table, the place is surprisingly kept clean. Really felt like walking into a steak house. The service was awesome. The waiters are humorous and quick to serve you your food. Definitely recommend this place.

Moo Bong Ri (MBR Oakland)
4390 Telegraph Ave STE #K, Oakland, CA 94609, United States
This place is definitely all time my favorite korean restaurant in Oakland. I highly recommend joining the yelp waitlist since there is a long line specially during the weekend. We get braised short rib(gal hi jjim), beef short soup(gal bi tang), rose creamy spicy rice cake, and pork back bone casserole(gam ja tang). The meat was perfectly tender and the portion was huge comparing to Dae ho in sf. Everything was great 10/10. This is great place to come when you are craving for korean comfort food.I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in authentic Korean food!

Seoul Gom Tang
3801 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 94609, United States
I eat here pretty much every week at lunch. Menu is same all day. I don’t have to mention more about the food here because it’s better than anything else in Oakland, and better than other general Korean restaurants that do Korean BBQ because this place specialize in beef bone broth (gomtang) soup. They’re consistent and comparable to LA and Korea.

EM Deli Catering
6119 La Salle Ave, Oakland, CA 94611, United States
Personally, I was initially most interested in EM Deli and Catering for getting ingredients for preparing Korean food. I am a newby learning how to cook Korean food, and EM Deli has so much available in their small well-organiser space.Their store is sparkly clean, and everything is easy to find. There On the left, when entering their store are small containers of ready to eat single servings of delicious dishes that they have prepared. Personally, I got seaweed salad, and squid salad—both were absolutely fresh and delicious!Besides a refrigerated case  that included some important veggies, sauces, and tofu for preparing your own dishes., They also have frozen commercially packaged food for using later. They have dried goods like rice, soy sauce, noodles, and seaweed. They also have lots of Korean cuts of meat, and can get you fresh fish from San Francisco. If you just want to get what they have already prepared, you can go down to actually see what they have. You can order online. We had a small dinner party of four and got carry out. When it was brought home, we ate it so quickly that i forgot to take pictures.
