This is a mixed bag of frustration, waits, and pretty good food for the prices.Walking into the place that has a few people in line and nice lit up side, was decent. I got up and ordered and got my number number while waiting for my food. We got general chicken, Mongolian beef, and some wontons. We also go both with rice and chow Mein. The prices are decent and they have a decent menu.However, after twenty minutes I had to go up and ask the status of my food. Turns out they didn’t start it or had lost it. Another twenty minutes and I go up and ask and my food is sitting there. Very frustrating but the food was great. Just ask for your food after a few minutes or you’ll never get it!

The absolute best way to describe this place is hit and miss. Today they tried to wing it. Our Orange Chicken was in such poor shape we thought it was a wrong order. But sadly it was a old, dark, burnt mess and the Kung Pao wasnt far behind. When the cooks want to make it a good day, the food is good. Sadly more bad days than good lately which is too bad because I was a fan.

Quality of food has gone downhill. Save your time and money go somewhere else. Worst service to. No one greets you either . I was standing for 5 minutes before cashier took my order without any kind of greeting. Unacceptable

Pick Up Stix has a couple of items that are vegan and vegetarian friendly. My son is vegetarian and he likes their firecracker tofu. and They make a house tofu, chow mein and brown rice that are vegan friendly. They mark their food in the menu for GF and V.It’s easy food for any event or just take out.

BLAND AND GROSSToday My mom surprised me at my home with pick up stix. First thing she said they change there containers. That was first disappointment seemed like smaller portions. We have always complained amongst ourselves regarding price for the portions now its even less food. We dont eat pick up stix often for that reason. Then I started eating I wasnt happy at all its not the same taste. The house special beef was dry really thick chewy and bland. The more I tried to eat it I got more grossed out by it. they also gave a tiny clear container of sauce smelled like teriyaki so I put that on hoping it would make it better. I said thats a first never been given that from a pick up stix. Big fail! Why change something that has been great for 30 something years. We both said no more pick up stix for us. Im sad to say because my mom and I would grab pick up stix every year for my bday for casual bday lunch.

Pick up stick is just a great quick place. But the food doesnt taste quick, it tastes like a restaurant. The people below who complain about bad food simply doesnt understand the difference. This place woks fresh to order all your dishes whereas the others cook them and have them sitting in steam baths. So no contest there. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. Its very clean everywhere and its just a great all around place to eat dinner. The family meal cant be beat! They also have FRESH salads, meaning they throw those greens right there in front of you thru a glass salad bar. Excellent!!

What happened to the quality of the food and the portions. Ordered orange chicken and it was no more than 1/4 of chicken. Terrible house special chicken. Was all chopped up into tiny pieces so gross I will never order here again. What a waste of money.

Overall it was mediocre at best. The chicken and vegetables has boiled, flavorless chicken. There was a bone in the orange chicken. Some of the future cookies didnt have fortunes at all. Skip this one, go to Panda Express.

I come here very often - and it’s amazing every time! The staff is so helpful and friendly and sweet. Outshines any other chain Asian restaurants! Definitely will keep visiting this place, hopefully they like to see me as much as I like to see them :)

This place is great. Really puts panda express to shame. Lots of good flavor in everything they serve. Take a lot longer than other places, but it is made fresh. Waiting may be an issue, but it is worth the wait. The manager there was awesome and kind.

This place used to be awesome. NO LONGER!!! I ordered garlic shrimp w/white rice and no vegetables. My daughter picked up the food and when she got home, my order was full of vegetables with little to no shrimp. The shrimp was dry along with the rice. The vegetables were wet and mushy. The food had absolutely no flavor and no sauce whatsoever. I paid a pretty penny for this phone order, just to be disappointed. Like everything else, the quality is down and the price has gone up. Ill never eat here again.

We have had a lot of bad experiences at this location but keep coming back. I worked at Pick up Stix (SD) a long time ago (18 years ago) and I love the food.In the past at this particular store within the last 5 months we’ve had overcooked and undercooked chicken, dry/stale rice. However, tonight this location nailed it! It was exactly how it should be every time! Take note whoever was on the wok Sunday evening this was it! Thanks to the kitchen for busting out a fresh, hot and tasty meal!

We have been ordering from this location for years and have never had a problem until recently. The last few orders we’ve placed have been missing items, or our orders we’re just wrong, and today was not awesome. All main courses come with your choice of side of either white or brown rice, egg friend rice, or plain chow mein. Our order had 2 main courses with one side being white rice and the other side being plain chow mein. We also added an additional side of rice. That additional side of rice was charged, but not included in our order when I picked it up. In addition to this, one of our main courses was house beef with extra sauce and adding broccoli. This is something we’ve ordered regularly from any location for years and have never had a problem. For some reason this time we got a phone call saying they will charge us an additional $1.25 for the broccoli. I said ok, but we were basically asking for beef and broccoli with the house sauce instead of the sauce it comes with so I didn’t know why all of a sudden there was an additional charge. The person on the phone said oh ok no problem and hung up. We ended up with beef and broccoli, with the carrots, and not the house sauce. I know it’s tedious, but I used to work at another location and we made custom orders all the time because nothing is pre-made and it was never a problem, so it was super disappointing to have an order that was convenient for the restaurant and not what we were ordering. Long story short, check every single box when you order before leaving because this seems to keep happening no matter what we order.

Placed our order to eat there. It was busy, so I didnt think much about the wait. Next thing I know, it has been 25 minutes. I went up to ask, and they said, oh we have a new computer system and dont know whats happening. We dont have your order I didnt have anymore time to wait, so they refunded me. I forgot to take pictures but for all the food was very fresh like always consistent flavors the broccoli in the carrot in the broccoli beef were cooked very good the meat was very tender and the fried rice was freshly made as well. Also ordered two kids meals one Orange chicken and 1 chicken tenders and they were also pretty good. The pad Thai was also very good the shrimp was well cooked. The only issue I had was that the food to 20 minutes to prepare.

Terrible in person service. Waited 25 minutes for my food. They should prioritize in person customers orders over online orders. When I asked said nobody mentioned how long the food would take they said well there are orders in front of you. I asked them to pull my plates and utensils ahead so it was all ready and the lady rolled her eyes at me. The food is yummy but we will not be returning there.

Stop using dumplings as a replacement for won tons in the soup! They dont even say they are out of wonton. They just use dumplings instead and they are gross in the soup. Chow mein noodles would be a better replacement. I just came home wanting dinner, my fiance got me wonton soup which is usually my favorite but they filled it with freaking dumplings and so now I cant even eat it. Stop using dumplings in the wonton soup! Its gross!

We had not tried this place so we decided to. Me and my husband ordered the curry chicken which is my favorite dish in other places. It was very hot tasting but bland and watery. The entire time we ate I could see the cook staring at us as we ate which was creepy. I will not go here again. I saw them giving out to go orders and not even closing the box containers as they were putting them inside the bags. I do not recommend this location.

The atmosphere of Pick Up Stix has been recently changed. It has ambient light with low overhead lighting to create a cozier feel. It has a few tables for 2 - 6 people. The corner location has windows on two sides, making it a nice place to eat and people watch.The food is good, and you get plenty for your money. Two people could split an entree with lo mein and be happy. For the extra hungry an appetizer of steamed chicken dumplings does well.The service is friendly and inviting, making it comfortable to review the menu without feeling rushed if you are unsure. Dont be afraid to ask questions if you have any.Overall this is a nice casual spot to sit for a while since it is rarely busy, but also great for a quick meal to-go so you dont have to cook at home. The plates and plastic ware go a long way as well, because who really wants to clean up at all?4/5

Horrible service and food.The lady at the register acted bothered and annoyed by our questions a out the menu. When the pad noodles and chicken came out, it looked like something that was scooped out of a dog can. The chicken was sloppy breaded and Im not even sure it was chicken. It didnt taste like it. My wife and I got about 1/3 of the way through the meal, then threw it out and walked out. Was terrible. Go to panda up the street if u want decent fast Asian food.

I don’t know how reviewers can give this place anything other than 5 stars, I absolutely love this place!! I live in AZ and used to have pick up stix in town. For what ever reason they left. I would love for them to return. I can’t stand when people complain about “it took too long” or “I waited forever”. Act like you have never made a person wait for you before. It’s good service, it takes time. Keep up the great service and food!! I will alway visit every time I come to California.

I called in my order. When I arrived the young woman said she thought I hung up so she didnt put my order in. She had repeated the order and told me how long. I said Im here in the parking lot now. Thank you. I went in after the 15 min and no order had been placed. Supposedly my order was going to be next but after waiting for another 20 min watching people come in, order and go out with their food, I went back up. The same young woman said sarcastically that she was not the cook, she was just waiting as the food came up. . Doesnt belong in any customer service position. This is hands down the BEST place to go when youre craving Chinese food. If youre looking for the cream cheese wontons look no further they have the best ones I have ever tasted. The house chicken is my favorite dish they offer, but the menu offers so many great choices. I will be a customer here for as long as theyre open and running.

I went here today with my boyfriend, and the service was terrible. We went there around 6:30 pm, right when we got there we ordered 2 kids sized meals but we did not receive them till 7:14 pm. We had ordered 2 cups and only got one and when my boyfriend went to get his cup, the people were rude and they kept ignoring his request. The rice tasted stale and the orange chicken was gross. When we asked for a refund, they said they were going to give us a barf bag... very rude employees. Not going there again.

We live closer to the one in Temecula but we make the extra drive to the cal oaks one in murrieta just because of the service that this location gives. Unless you getting a simple order I would say dont go here, go to another of their locations...I have some food allergies and the order is always wrong.
