Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
24635 Madison Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562, United States
We have been ordering from this location for years and have never had a problem until recently. The last few orders we've placed have been missing items, or our orders we're just wrong, and today was not awesome. All main courses come with your choice of side of either white or brown rice, egg friend rice, or plain chow mein. Our order had 2 main courses with one side being white rice and the other side being plain chow mein. We also added an additional side of rice. That additional side of rice was charged, but not included in our order when I picked it up. In addition to this, one of our main courses was house beef with extra sauce and adding broccoli. This is something we've ordered regularly from any location for years and have never had a problem. For some reason this time we got a phone call saying they will charge us an additional $1.25 for the broccoli. I said ok, but we were basically asking for beef and broccoli with the house sauce instead of the sauce it comes with so I didn't know why all of a sudden there was an additional charge. The person on the phone said oh ok no problem and hung up. We ended up with beef and broccoli, with the carrots, and not the house sauce. I know it's tedious, but I used to work at another location and we made custom orders all the time because nothing is pre-made and it was never a problem, so it was super disappointing to have an order that was convenient for the restaurant and not what we were ordering. Long story short, check every single box when you order before leaving because this seems to keep happening no matter what we order.

Love that they built this so much closer to my home! My Husband loves their grilled chicken nuggets, theyre always juicy and cooked to perfection. I generally get the chicken wrap which is amazing and they have different dressings to go with but personally, I love putting the polynesian sauce on the wrap.Theyre so friendly! A couple days ago we went here for an early lunch and they informed us some it was still technically breakfast hours the grilled nuggets would take about 15 minutes. Since we hardly get chick-fil-a we were ok with this wait. So they parked us out front. It took a little longer than the 15 minutes, which was fine, but when the nice lady came out with our food she told us she threw in a cookie for it taking longer than expected, which was so sweet but she didnt have to! So, per usual I check the order and see that an order of fries is missing so my husband and I went in and we were greeted with a smile. We explained something was forgotten and I believe she was the manager, was very apologetic and ran back to get us fresh fries and also threw in a cookie. We told her it was really ok, she didnt have to give us anything but she insisted. The team at this establishment is amazing! I appreciate the constant great service and fresh food! If out this way, this is the best Chick-fil-A
Formosa Teriyaki
40469 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd g5, Murrieta, CA 92563, United States
This is a pan Asian restaurant which has delicious types of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisine. I tried the unagi (Japanese eel) and it hit the spot. My kids got the teriyaki rice dishes and they loved it. The only concern I have is the ambiance in the restaurant is lifeless. Instead of eating there, we took the food home. This place is fast and efficient but I get the impression that the owners want this to be a primary take out business. If you want to sit and have delicious Asian cuisine in a sit down restaurant, this is not the place.
Richies Real American Diner
40651 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd, Murrieta, CA 92562, United States
We ordered the 2 steak lunches for both my son and I and also ordered the breakfast sampler as well. We asked fit our streak to be medium rare which mine was, but my sons was raw. He didnt eat, but we still took it home to cook it a little more basting it in butter. The steak in general didnt have flavor. Basic seasoning lacked such as salt, pepper, butter for basting with some basic herbs. My steak seemed way under 8 ounces. My sons steak was way more than 8 ounces. My steak was in 2 parts, lol. I ordered mashed potatoes with brown gravy as a side. Their brown gravy, for whatever reason, is sweet. My son ordered fries which were good. The breakfast platter, we ordered country gravy over biscuits. The gravy didnt have much flavor. Had to add salt and pepper. It was weird... there was one and a half biscuits, lol. What happened to the top half?! The sausage tasted like a chicken or Turkey sausage, but was OK. The ham was extremely dry and the smoked tri-tip was the driest smoked tri-tip that I ever had. No pink coloration at all. It was literally, a small tiny brown piece of dry meat. It was 1 inch by 3 inches of meat, lol. We also ordered their banana split. It was swimming in strawberry water. I wouldnt recommend getting the split. I dont think well go back there again. For the 3 meals, including the over 20% tip, total was $85.
Spicy Noodle
25395 Madison Ave STE 107, Murrieta, CA 92562, United States
If you like your service subpar and condescending, this is the place for you! This establishment would like to be high-end, but cant get out of its own way.To try a new place for my daughters sixteenth birthday dinner, we went here. We were a party of five, and they could not provide five menus at the same time. They kept bring two at a time over the course of ten minutes. Of course there were apologies, and since we are post pandemic, my family and I were understanding. Honestly, we only need a couple menus anyway. Now I am a Pho fanatic. At my favorite soup always includes beef, tendon, tripe, meatball, and brisket. So, the description for the Laotian Pho seemed right up my ally, (beef, tendon, tripe, brisket, beef balls, in a Laotian style beef broth ). Now, if you are a connoisseur of Pho, you know that the quality of the broth can vary depending on the establishment, and I was not 100% sure of the Laotian style broth. So, I attempted to order a small bowl. But, the waitress was quick to tell me that (and I quote) since I wasnt familiar with Pho I should order something else. I realized that I must be pronouncing Laotian wrong, and so I quickly pointed at the menu and told her this is the Pho I wanted. But, hey... the menu has several items marked NON-REFUNDABLE, PLEASE CHOOSE CORRECTLY, in the menu. So, they assume that their clientele is illiterate. When my daughters order of spring rolls arrived, so did plates with spoons, and forks. My daughter joked that it was her sixteenth, and she had been using chopsticks property since four. I dared her to ask for chopsticks by saying, How does my hair look? Cause I have used these dingle-hoppers, can we now get something to eat our meal with. But, our joy was diminished when we realized that the peanut sauce for the spring rolls, was basically watered down peanut butter. When our soups came we were too leery to request chopsticks in a jovial way. And then the waitress had a hard time counting out five pairs of chopsticks. But, the pho and orange chicken tasted delicious!I was not the biggest fan of the Laotian style beef broth. But, I was more disappointed that the soup was basically brisket. Only one meatball, cut into slices. No tendon, and very little tripe. But again, the taste was delicious...even with the Laotian broth. We sat for a very long time waiting for the check, and an equally long time to get a to-go container for my daughters pho. Yes, I know that service everywhere is suffering from being short staffed. But...Based on the price, service, and that peanut sauce is important to me. I probably will stick to my usual hunts for Asian food.
Jade China Restaurant
40982 California Oaks Rd, Murrieta, CA 92562, United States
You see so many enthusiastic reviews of this place, so we tried it. Total was almost $90, for we had the food delivered. I am here to announce without a trace of a doubt that this place is not all that, and actually I am now convinced that the people (no chefs in the house, that is for sure) that made our food, do not eat it. They are way smarter than that. Following dishes were ordered:Egg Rolls, $3.95: yes, we know, everyone makes them. These ones were very narrow, and lacking enough filling. What appeared at first a good deal, was anything but. 1 Star.BBQ Sliced Pork, $5.95: an insult to decent BBQ pork. Old tasting, overcooked, smothered with enough of this deep unappetizing sauce that could almost double as light paint, stale meat that basically told us we had stepped into a culinary land mine. Try Sam Woos in Irvine to find out how it should be done, a total disappointment to any eater that knows the real deal. 1 Star.Salt and Pepper Calamari, $6.95: rings of calamari lightly battered and breaded, this plate had its merit, but cabbage overshadowed the calamari in quantity. Still, better than the two described before. 3 Stars.Wor Won Ton Soup, $6.50: one container, so if a large family side is desired one will have to dish out $13, which makes it quite expensive, compared, to lets say, Red Gingers. Some of the vegetables were past the point of no return, very mushy, but overall must be said that the broth was not saturated with sodium (a well known practice in lesser quality soups of this type), and the chicken was tender and the one or two shrimps (they are a little stingy perhaps, but trust me, they are not the only ones) made this well known soup quite enjoyable to the group. 3.5 Stars.Beef with Schezchuan Garlic Sauce, $9.25: covered in deep brown sauce, which part of it was black bean sauce for we would see the little indicators, vegetable overcooked, beef tender, but then again if there is one thing Chinese has mastered, is the art of tenderizing just about anything, no guarantee of quality beef, just tenderized. Gooey mess, was rejected by 50 % of eaters. 2 Stars.Lemon Chicken, $8.95: I think they got a frozen breast of chicken, defrosted it, and cooked it very badly and had the audacity of charging their price. Must say that the sauce (on the side) was the color of orange, not overly sweet and they did send a very generous container, and since it is paid for I will use this sauce on a fish I been trying to create. 2 Stars.Mandrian Shrimp, $12.95: I think it was a typo, and what they were thinking of saying was Mandarin Shrimp. Either way, the plate consisted of ridiculously small shrimp covered in the same type of batter that sometimes is used in Sweet and Sour Pork. Not crispy at all, fall apart wet, about 90 % batter or whatever their concoction was, and 10 % Shrimp. A fiasco of monumental proportions. 2 Stars.House Chow Mein, $7.95: think noodles with not enough of anything else, overly cooked, sticking together like putty, half of it went into the garbage disposal. Cheap mentality leads to cheap eating. 1 Star. One might be fooled that their prices are nicer than the competition, and they would be wrong for their servings are not what one would call average. Their quality of food makes them one place where only in light nightmare will be revisited. The after taste, and the joint effort to consume anti acid pills (better safe than sorry) leaves a lot to be desired. Basically good money went vamoose with absolutely zero satisfaction for the investment. Oh, but they do have their acolytes which sing them praises, but check this out, if this place is truly a 4 Star, then a really good Chinese place would have to be a 12 Star, and that is just not going to work. 2 Stars.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
36442 Winchester Rd, Murrieta, CA 92563, United States
Oh to be yelled at and traumatized by the manager Mercedes...Went in at 3:58 to surprisingly and empty parking lot and empty dining room. Which was surprising since Ive seen lines all week since it opened. About 20 employees working when I ordered which impressed me when the food was out 30 seconds after. That shouldve warned me right away that the chicken was going to taste undercooked and taste like the oil! Fries were dried up like a desert, Mac n cheese was the most greasy oil slick bowl Ive ever seen and the biscuit made me choke it was like a rock.Unfortunately this entire time my BF was watching me eat because his order (which was placed right after me) was forgotten about 15 mins later. Meanwhile other customers came in placed their order and left. At 4:16 they finally gave him his chicken sandwich only for it to be colder than if you left it sitting out for hours. Where did they find this the back rooms? He returned it and asked for a new one, politely, to which they made a fuss but said ok. At 4:30 after I had already finished up my food, he gave up and just asked for a refund. MERCEDES the manager YELLED at us in front of the entire restaurant and other employees that She was giving us a refund because HE DOESNT WANT HIS FOOD. No lady, this man is starving and depressed because weve been looking forward to this opening since it was announced. We dont have a lot going on in Menifee so we were hyped. If I had known I was going to spend $20 on the worst meal Ive ever eaten I wouldve gone to Daves, Canes or Chick-fil-A to at least add some value for my buck. But instead we got gas lit by MERCEDES that stated he came in NOT WANTING TO EAT. Like we just wanted to hangout in the lobby or ??? Anyways crazy boomer wasnt worth the effort to call her out or raise a stink although we had plenty to say and laugh about her in the car while we drove to Chick-fil-A and had a lovely meal where the employees treated us nicely and didnt yell at us.So welcome to Popeyes where the food is overpriced gross oil slick yet dried up and the employees yell at the customers for wanting to eat.
My Haus Filipino Bakery & Restaurant
40250 Murrieta Hot Springs Rd, Murrieta, CA 92563, United States
Before I start my review, one thing of Filipino foods you have to understand. Anything made with meat will most likely have small little chips of bones in it so you have to be careful not to eat the bone. That being said, the food items should be dirt cheap. The only time food distributors give meat items like this is either scrap or when they give it whole, which forces the one preparing the food to be deboned which is an extra step so its cheaper.Yet somehow, a bowl of meat with just a few other ingredients (including larger chunks of bone which takes up a lot of space) is 15 dollars??? This food item probably has a food cost of like 3 dollars. So my review is based on the price. No rice. No drink. Just the entree. 15 bucks??I love Filipino food but sorry. Hard pass. Taste was good but after finishing, half the bowl was bones. Way way overpriced.Edit : owner asked what I bought. Large was 12.99 plus tax (14.13) I rounded it up to 15 because I also gave a tip. Owner explained that they use high quality meat and mentioned labor. But I said food cost. Food cost for that size of dish is certainly not more than 4 dollars. Not sure what the owner is trying to say. Even 14 dollars is way too much. I can get a much bigger dish for half that price at red ginger just up the street. It is not even a full service restaurant like red ginger. Dont know what the owner is trying to say.I wish there was more types of items. More skewers. More deserts. And more options. I felt like this was a giant place with all of this flare but when I walked up to see what they have, there was just a few items. It was very underwhelming.
Panda Express
25312 Madison Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562, United States
I have been coming to eat lunch at this Panda Express for at least 3 years. Because of today I will no longer come here. I politely asked 4 another entree because the chow mein noodle I received which was freshly cooked tasted very burnt and in appearance was blackened from it being burnt I asked the manager on duty if I could please have an entree as a substitute. And I asked her very politely. she said she can give me fried rice or steamed rice two things which I dont eat I explained to her that I do not eat those I asked her politely if I could just have another entree she said no. she explained to me she would make a new batch of chow mein noodle if I was willing to wait. but my lunch is ending and I could not wait 15 minutes for new batch. again I ask politely I understand that its not a side its an entree but this is customer service she said the manager that is that she cannot help me. this is what I told her youre willing to let this be a bad experience because of burnt Chow Mein noodles she physically said yes I gave her my tree with the untouched Chow Mein noodles that was burnt and told her Im sorry to hear that thank you very much. now I am sitting in my car right outside of Panda Express on Madison in Marietta writing this review. I am in customer service so I understand how easy it is to please a customer especially over something so miniscule. I give this restaurant or this new manager a two thumbs down not because of the food but because of the service and the unwillingness to please a customer. I was never rude ... I never gave attitude. I was very polite through the whole thing and she just looked at me and said no cant help you in my book shes a horrible manager. this experience is especially upsetting because I know everybody that works at this location they all know me and my wife at this location we eat here more than often during our lunch time. So my decision is to spend my hard money where I get good service I will no longer be coming back to this Panda Express ever again it is that simple....
