Food was mediocre! Menu states sushi has crab, not imitation crab, tempura shrimp were not fresh or made in house definitely frozen breaded shrimp. Tempura shrimp were extremely greasy. The grease and texture threw the flavor of the sushi off. For that price point I definitely expected a lot more and will not be visiting again. How did this place get 4+ on Yelp 🤔

I got three rolls that stated they had “snow crab” in them so I willingly spent more on the rolls. They turned out to be imitation crabmeat in all three rolls. I don’t appreciate being lied to both in taste and cost. Sushi equivalent to grocery store sushi should not cost triple the charge. First time I ever regretted spending that much on sushi.

YOU NEED SATORI SUSHI & TERIYAKI GRILLI live between the Elk Grove and Natomas locations and love them both. Todays visit at the Elk Grove location was excellent. I ordered takeout and had a very nice conversation with the owner while I was waiting for my food. The place was clean, well staffed and the food came out quickly.Dont pass this place up.

When we moved to Elk Grove years ago, we came across Satori.A small place that satisfies your sushi cravings.The size of the place should not discourage one as they serve delicious food. They do takeout as well.They have Happy Hour all day long Mondays-Thursdays which is great on those days you do not feel like cooking.The Staff are always very accommodating and eager to answer any questions one may have.There are daily special rolls as well.

Sake Toro Nigiri rice to fish ratio was completely off smallest amount of rice Ive ever had with the biggest cut of salmon. Like salmon isnt oily already they completely smothered the Sake Toro Nigiri with chili oil. kids loved the Crunch Roll though. salmon was also really chewy. I thought the belly was suppose to be fatty and oily.

Really delicious, tastes really fresh with great flavors . No issues, just didnt know if what I found on top and under the Cali rolls was from the crab (Cali roll with snow crab) .. or if its plastic, but found multiple pieces. Nonetheless, I still ate my food lol . That was my only issue 😊😂 .Ordered double rainbow roll ( pictured with fish eggs, a little spicy ), Elk Grove roll, Red Hawaiian roll ( pictured with tuna on top w sauce & crab inside), soup, and Cali roll (pictured as well with snow crab) 😋

Sushi is not my usual. This was my friends idea, and she loves this place. I ordered the A20 Jalapeño Bomb and R33 Volcano Roll because it sounded good. I was very surprised at how good the good was. Eating raw fish takes a little getting used to, but I made it. The staff is very friendly and checked on us continually. I would defiantly go back. I also tasted the strawberry dessert ice cream hing. I forgot what it is called.

Food is okay, service staff needs training, should not have to ask for table to be cleared that’s piling up with dishes, or ask for drink refills, or ask for napkins. Heads up they also charge a service fee for parties of 6 or more, but that charge isn’t prominently displayed. Seats, tables, floor and bathroom are very dirty. If the front house is that dirty I can only imagine what the back of the house is like. Service fee and bad service, but decent food.

On the website they give you option of “real crab” instead of imitation but they mix the real crab with the imitation crab instead of just doing real crab alone. That’s nasty. I’ll never eat here again. A year ago it so they told me they used real crab. But instead of saying “real crab mixed with imitation” they fabricate it. Start doing real crab only and then I’d consider eating here again, other than that, no.

Got the teriyaki chick box for $14.10 which came with salad, pickled cucumbers and miso soup. All very tasty. Chicken a little chewy but good. Receipt listed tip charge on top of taxes. Satori should know that tip is placed on pre-tax total and starts at 15% not 18%. Yes, I know its a customer choice.

Whenever I have a chance to go to Elk Grove, I have to stop at Satori! I live in an area where the sushi DOES NOT COMPARE. I dont care where I live, I will always come back.The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The things I look forward to are the raspberry iced tea, cucumber salad and miso soup. Very simple items but they make a world of difference when they arent made right or are missing from a menu! Keep up the good work, Ill be back soon!

I need to rate 5 stars for this place or maybe higher if I could. The foods are so fresh and surprisingly look better than pictures on their menu. Their staffs are fast and super nice. The enviroment inside the restaurant is cozy since its not a wide place, but elegant enough to feel almost like a high-end restaurant.

Satori has honestly the best Sushi in Elk Grove. What they lack in atmosphere, they make up for in sheer quality, and portion sizes. The Nigiri see imgs are LARGE, not tiny cheapo excuses like many other places.AND, they have GREAT prices. Like 30-40% less than other places!! No joke, and again, better quality.My wife loves the Crunch Roll (who doesnt), and I like *anything*. Kind of a Rainbow Roll guy.

The sushi here is always excellent. Since my pregnant wife cant eat raw fish, she loves the veggie rolls that they offer. This place is a little pricey compared to other restaurants, but the rolls are always incredible.

This place puts too much sauce on the rolls- their pictures on the menu do NOT match the rolls that they serve. The service was nice and timely, but so will definitely not be coming back nor recommending this place. I feel bad writing such a bad review but seriously the rolls were not good at all. Also, the rolls had a bunch of rice and the rice felt and tasted like the rolls you get from Safeway.

I order take out at least once a week. All their rolls are $8.95 during lunch, my favorites are the rock n roll and crunch roll. I usually just order the rolls but I recently ordered the sesame chicken appetizer because its $4.95 during happy hour and it was really good. Ordered delivery from this restaurant 2 times in the last month, both times I have not received the full order. Missing edamame and potstickers the first time and missing 3 sushi rolls from the second order. The restaurant is responsible for giving all the food to the delivery driver, however when I called the restaurant they said our missing food can’t be delivered only picked up. We will never order from this restaurant again.

Great sushi! And they take every precaution to make sure their staff and the customers are protected. Between mask requirements (yes, youll be told to leave of you dont have a mask) and tape markings for 6 ft distances as well as limitations of the number of people in the establishment...all best practices.The sushi is amazing and so fresh...the salmon poke is nice and spicy but not tongue burning (great because I like to taste my food). We order the Cali #2, Patriot, Lobster Bake, Hawaiian and Spider rolls. We try a new one each time and never disappointed. You have to try it if youre in the market for a safe sushi place that you can feel good that you wont get sick from the food or others that patron them. Great food, Great people, Great prices!

Located in the Walmart shopping center, this restaurant is fairly busy on a regular basis although you usually don’t have to wait for a table at lunchtime. You may have to on weekends at dinner. I have eaten here often and have had great meals and, occasionally, poor ones. The latter typically happens when the tempura is greasy (sometimes it is perfect and sometimes not) or the sushi rolls are rolled too large (they’re supposed to be bite sized). Sushi is usually tasty and they offer many different types of rolls. Bento boxes are quite large. The servers are usually very good. The worst things about this restaurant are that it is usually cold inside, and they play loud, obnoxious music AND have 2 or 3 televisions on. If they toned down the atmosphere I think it would be much more comfortable.

Ordered a Bento Box and a Killer Spicy Roll for lunch. The Bento Box was fine, nothing special, but fine. The roll was awful. Probably the worst I have ever had. Not much in the way of fish, lots of rice, not cut evenly (huge and small pieces) all slathered with siracha, and I do mean slathered. Tried to scrape it off to no avail. This is a small little restaurant located off the freeway 99 on elk grove Blvd. in the Wal-Mart complex. I was planning to go kintori near this sushi place and read their review. I found it interesting that one yelper suggested this spot in their review. The restaurant is not noticeable while passing by. Anyways, I ordered three sushi rolls to go. The sushi tasted really good. I was happy they were not stingy on the meat. And the rolls were big. Ill have to go back again to try other rolls.

Tempura was heavy on the batter so it was dense. The chicken was inedible, so tough. How can dark meat be so tough?!? Servers never came around to ask how the food was. When we waived her down to get the check and showed her that we could not eat the lousy food, all she did was take 10% off. BFD!!! Great reminder for me NOT to go back! Small restaurant, but with large wall mirrors the dinning room gives a roomy feeling. Very comfortable and clean sitting. I ordered unagi don (grilled eel, avaccado slices, pickled cucumber slices over rice in a bowl). The color and presentation of the food were very artistic; the smell of the pickled cucumber doubled my appetite; the ell was in generous thick slices with skin attached, very moist, had a smooth and a little creamy texture in teriyaki sauce, went well with the rice; the avaccado slices were very fresh. Recommend!
