Bamboo Inn Chinese Restaurant
7300 Laguna Blvd #1, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
The food is decent. Taste better when eaten fresh on the spot. For some reason I dont like it reheated from this particular restaurant. The woman running the front is actually really rude, she was slamming things around because it was 9:01 and we were still packing our food up. She came back to the table and slammed the ticket and reciept down and said we close at 9 no thank u you or nothing. Also the soup the gave us has peas and carrots that were undercooked and our rice and sweet and sour chicken were cold in certain places so we had to have them remade. On a positive note the Chowmain and egg rolls were the best ? sorry for the long review, if you made it this far.. I guess give it a try if its local, dont drive for this.To the owner/server or cashier that was rude, be kind to people, the stress and tension caused by you ruined my dinner and caused me to be upset which in turn made my stomach upset.. all you had to do was say you guys were closing soon and we would have gladly picked up and left, we didnt know we were an inconvenience to you.
Hidden Sichuan Restaurant
9160 E Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95624, United States
Hidden Sichuan is our favorite Asian restaurant in Elk Grove. I love the spicy, complex, layered flavor profiles. Magic chili beef is great! I normally dont like fish, but I always order st least one fish dish a visit. The dish is tender and succulent. There are mild dishes for those not into spicy, and vegetarian mock meat dishes, which I have not tried yet.
Yoshi Japanese Restaurant
9174 Franklin Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
[2021 update] Luckily this place survived the initial CV19 hit to restaurants. They continue to push out quality food. Have some patience as their demands have increased as they continue to keep the quality high [end 2021 edit]This place is real Japanese food. You wont get hoards of teriyaki sauce over rice with sesame chicken found in Americanized faux-Japanese places. Broths are different for each noodle type unlike other places that have the same broth used on everything. Portions and flavors are the real thing from Japan. You want low quality food-court grub, go elsewhere. We have been going to Yoshi Restaurant since they opened and have found all of the food to be the most authentic Japanese food in Sacramento. The Japanese palette is a lot more delicate and subtle than the standard American palette. This means folks who are accustomed to lots of sauces and mayonnaise poured over their food will not like this place. That said, Ive had food from all over Japan and appreciate the level of pride and craftsmanship. Yoshi Restaurant brings it to Sacramento. This subtle complexity can be found in all of their dishes. The decor is minimalist and thrifty, and the bathroom is quite clean. Im personally OK with this because I know the emphasis is on the food and not on the bling-bling.In short, if you want the best Sacramento and Japan has to offer, Yoshi is the real deal [update 2019] and remains the best in my opinion. Keep in mind, this is a real mom n pop restaurant - not a mass food mill like other asian dash n dines. The word is out about their quality, so schedule accordingly and it will be enjoyable. Simply Thai Restaurant
8465 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624, United States
I went here for my lunch break from work. The food is overpriced. I ordered beef larb with a side of sticky rice. It all turned out to be $13.53, but I added a dollar tip because the service is great. The waitress/cashier is very kind and friendly. The beef larb is good, but it was very sweet. Im sure there was brown sugar added to the larb. Personally, for me, I prefer unsweetened and savory food. Ive never had brown sugar in my larb, and that suprised me. The portion is also very very small. I work in a deli, and I can say that the serving size of the larb must have been 1/3 (5.7 oz) or 1/4 (4 oz) a pound of larb with 4 pieces of lettuce for $10. The sticky rice was perfect, but again, the serving size is very small. It must have been 1/8 a pound (2 oz) for $2.50. I could have eaten 4 of those. For me, I wouldnt come back mainly because the food is sweet and overpriced.
Bonchon
8246 Laguna Blvd #370, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
We visited here on a Friday night so I assumed the wait would be long because the restaurant is new, popular, and Id heard there can be a wait. There was a 30 min wait if we wanted a table, but since there were just two of us, we were able to immediately take a seat at the island behind the bar. So if youre willing to either sit at the bar or at the island just behind the bar, you may be able to cut down or eliminate the wait time. The decor is very modern (like!) and there were quite a few TVs around the restaurant (maybe 6?). Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. We tried the citron flavor soju and we enjoyed its light Sprite-like flavor. For an appetizer, we ordered the Salmon Avocado Ball. I wanted to try it because it looked so unique and sounded yummy! It had a great flavor with crab, avocado, and cucumber inside and seared salmon on the outside, drizzled with sauces. I liked the mix of flavors-it all went well together. For dinner, we ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi and a small combo plate of fried chicken- half soy garlic flavor, half spicy. I really liked the soy garlic fried chicken because Im a lightweight when it comes to spicy. I got an especially spicy bite of one wing and had to stop eating the spicy because my tongue was on fire :P But thats just me. My husband loved the spicy ones.I would have liked to try more other foods, but I was too full so it looks like we will have to come back!

They prepare the food as requested. One of my favorite Asian restaurants.
Fuji Sushi
8473 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
This sushi buffet has been around for several years now.The place is always crowded with a wait every time we visit ranging from ten minutes if you are lucky and onwards.Guests have an option of bar or table seating. We mostly prefer table seating since we do not just take menu items from the boats with small sushi dishes floating around the bar.Guests can order their sushi, there is a designated area (with a sign overhead) for placing orders - towards the back of the restaurant. The sushi items are okay. I have had way better. There is a hot food section which has soup and other typical Asian buffet items. The Staff are pleasant.Noise can be tapered off. I do not like the sound of clanging cookware and china while trying to eat a meal and enjoy the company.
Pho Ivy
9261 Laguna Springs Dr, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
Pho Ivy is fairly new pho restaurant located in Elk Grove; however, dont let its short history fool you, Pho Ivy delivers flavorful Vietnamese cuisine to anyone with a hungry stomach. Pho Ivy prides itself in its use of spices including sumac, tumeric, cumin, and zaatar to elevate the flavor and taste of their food.Their menu includes a variety of noodle soup dishes with both rice and egg noodle options, which I have found is somewhat unique as not all restaurants will offer egg noodle options as well. They also have a selection of banh mi and rice plates if youre looking for something different to try. They offer both dine-in and take-out options; however, keep in mind if youd like to take their pho to-go you can only order their large size (not that that should dissuade you, once you get a taste of their food youll want to order their large size). Upon entering you can order either at the counter before taking a seat, or at your table, whichever is easier for you. We elected to order at the counter, and then find our seats.Recently, Ive been a chicken pho fiend after I tried a friends homemade recipe, which immediately led me to questioning all my life decisions and wondering why I hadnt tried chicken pho previously - which then led me to sample the chicken pho here. As much as I enjoy the beef-based broth more commonly featured in pho, theres something about the lighter, yet equally complex, flavor of chicken that drew me in, and has since held me in its grip since then (I suspect it may be possible that the lighter broth doesnt make me as full as quickly, so Im able to eat more noodles, which is a win in my book). Im happy to report back that their chicken pho is absolutely delectable and I would definitely go back for it. That being said, their beef-based pho is equally as good, so you really cant go wrong with any of their pho offerings here.If youre looking for Vietnamese cuisine in the Elk Grove area, then I highly recommend giving Pho Ivy a try!
Panda Express
5010 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
I Am Absolutely Disgusted With this place & Will NEVER be eating or feeding this place any of my family every again. I ordered my food online yesterday for the 1st time, thought the idea was cool. I got the 3 entree plate with half & half, Sweet Fire Chicken Breast, Orange Chicken & Honey Walnut Shrimp, and 2 orders of cream cheese ragoons . As im eating the sweet fire chicken breast i notice something string like rubbing against my tounge making hard you chew & swallow. When pull the string out my mouth i realize that it wasnt a string, it was a LONG ASS PIECE OF HAIR COOKED INTO MY CHICKEN!!! Immediately felt sick to stomach knowing that i had SOME RANDOM ASS PERSONS HAIR IN MY MOUTH!!! I WILL DEFINETLY BE COMING BACK YOUR LOCATION TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST YOU GUYS.
Satori Sushi & Teriyaki Grill
8451 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95758, United States
Great sushi! And they take every precaution to make sure their staff and the customers are protected. Between mask requirements (yes, youll be told to leave of you dont have a mask) and tape markings for 6 ft distances as well as limitations of the number of people in the establishment...all best practices. The sushi is amazing and so fresh...the salmon poke is nice and spicy but not tongue burning (great because I like to taste my food). We order the Cali #2, Patriot, Lobster Bake, Hawaiian and Spider rolls. We try a new one each time and never disappointed. You have to try it if youre in the market for a safe sushi place that you can feel good that you wont get sick from the food or others that patron them. Great food, Great people, Great prices!
