Went to Sumo the other Day at 6:30 pm. The food was horrible, the people that clean the table were standing and not doing anything. we had remove dirty plates from our table to empty table next to us. when we asked for refills on drinks, the waiter forgot and took it to the wrong table.Horrible experience. Will never go there again.

I absolutely love seafood, and my recent experience at this restaurant was fantastic. They had an incredible variety, from sushi and various fish dishes to lobster and shrimp. What impressed me even more was the addition of a grill for steak lovers. The options didnt stop there; they also offered a great selection of salads, desserts, soups, and even ice cream.One thing to note is that they charged extra for drinks, but considering the overall experience and variety, I found their prices to be quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to seafood enthusiasts and anyone looking for a satisfying meal with a diverse menu.

Plenty of people are eating today. Food is on point, served fresh every day, and when the tray becomes empty, a new batch is replaced immediately. They have seafood galore, meats are good too. They have sushi and sashimi bar, soup bar, salad bar, dessert section, and ice cream for the kids, too. Prices are reasonable. There are plenty of parking and popular stores nearby. This Buffett was great in accommodating our party of 18 people. We Celebrated Our Mom’s Birthday and the food here continued to be great as past visits. Staff was friendly and helpful. Now thats what you call a Buffet Grill!!! A must visit for anyone who enjoys either of those. The range and varieties of food available is something that you believe, only after you visit. I was actually late to visit this place since I stay quite close to it. Now since I have been there, I would be visiting it more often. I cannot list the menu here since its too long and vast. But I would totally recommend this place to anyone.FYI: Do try their grill varieties with seafood and meat.

Good Value Asian BuffetCame here on a Friday night.Most of the food was very fresh.The sushi/sashimi here is great with a good selection (salmon, tuna, eel, snapper, etc. The teppanyaki has full steaks. Most of rhe hot dishes are good too. The stuffed shrimp and the BBQ short ribs are very good here.The service is friendly. Fast beverage refill and fast cleanup.Overall good place and location.

Sump Asian Buffet & Grill is always a fun little treat for my family to go to. If you come on a weeknight, there should be no wait as we were seated right away. They have a variety of food including crab, sushi, Chinese food, salad, and a hibachi style grill to make your own plates.They are constantly making fresh sushi and have a yummy desert table as well. You can also scoop your own ice cream as they usually have 4 flavors at all times. I tried the matcha green tea and it was delicious.They have a senior discount as well which gives you 10% off but you do need to ask for it.

I think things have improved since my visit this past Summer. The waiters and waitresses are always polite. Even if dining alone, youre seated comfortably....booth area, etc. Hand sanitizer readily available. The food was delicious! I had shrimp three ways, deep fried crab, fried rice,and brocolli! The price is RIGHT!

Very decent Asian buffet that features a sushi section, teppanyaki grill, and various seafood choices, including poke and crab legs (check for availability). Recommended seafood fare are the seafood soup, baked salmon, steamed and fried whitefish, fried pike, sauteed baby octopus, cajun shrimp, sauteed clams, and baked mussels. They also have very good beef & broccoli, chow mein, curry chicken and other Asian buffet favorites. Sushi menu includes sashimi (tuna, mackerel, and salmon), and an assortment of premium sushi rolls that are usually fresh by buffet standards. Also offers real ice cream (not yogurt from a machine) and various yummy desserts. Too bad the chocolate fountain has been out-of-order the last 2 times weve been there! Large indoor dining area, plus big group tables available. Their wide selection of good food ensures everyone in your group will find something to enjoy. Always a good place to take the family. I give this place a 3 stars for the food it was good 👍. But for the service it was definitely a 1. From the moment we walked in the girl that sat us down was rude. We asked if we could have a table not a booth she answered I already know. Idk how she knew we never told her. When my husband asked her for a large water, she responded rudely we only have 1 size. I then asked where is the restroom. She turned around and said over there I had to figure out where over there was. Then my husband and I went to the cook frying the meat n veggies and he was having an attitude. This was our 1st time at this restaurant we dont know the system there and this cook was not friendly or helpful. Then we had to ask the waiter bussing the tables could he please take our plates bcuz they were piling up and if we could get my son a refill on his soda and another water that seemed to bother him. He never did bring my husbands water. 🤷 . And then to complete our experience there the people sitting across from us were allowed to bring in their dog. Dont get me wrong Im a dog lover! But I dont think the middle of the restaurant was the best place to accommodate the dog. Im sorry to say Ive never experienced bad service from most of the restaurant staff. I can count only 2 employees at this restaurant who were very polite food is good but we wont be back 😞

I don’t think I am going to be dining here again. They’ve been around for a long time, but their food quality has steadily declined.It started with poorer selection in their Dim Sum menu: the crab rangoon, shu mai, and potstickers disappeared. Their shrimp started to taste fishy/pondish, and that went with everything that had shrimp in it except their shrimp sushi and their fried and breaded shrimp.The chicken on a stick is far too over seasoned with anise, same goes with their ribs and Korean style ribs. They would do better if they offered more condiments like sweet chili sauce, a wider selection of dressings, besides ranch, a popular barbecue sauce aside from ketchup—they recently replaced Siracha with Tapatio sauce, and there is no sweet and sour sauce at all.I keep trying this place in hopes it will do better but over the last 4 years, it’s just always a disappointment.

Great variety of food items and good quality of food material. Though the table for five was smaller and not very comfortable for 5 persons. Also we needed to ask for a refill of the beverages instead of the serving staff proactively refilling for the customers.Visited in 6/2023. Similar quality and food with plenty of choices. The staff is very nice and helpful, however if you come an hour or two before closing they wont really make fresh sushi etc. the teppanyaki was awesome! They prepare the food you choose fresh! And not only that they season it to perfection and its super delicious! The guy who works the stove totally needs a tip jar! The prices arent that bad around $22 for adults and less than four bucks for a glass of beer! If you get soda you get free refills. They have a chocolate fountain and a decent amount of options for food. I definitely recommend this place its affordable, staff is nice, and food is good.

Which you will never know how much it will be til they give you the bill. End up paying $568.00 including the tip. They add the tip already. I went with my family. A girl cashier was so rude to us I had to ask if there was someone else who can take our drink orders. She turns around and another rude waiter comes a long. I had to ask for someone else. Finally the third waiter was nice. We spent $200 for 6 people and came from Palmdale, so thats more than a hour drive just to be treated bad. Food was good but customer service is terrible. Since we walked in we got a dirty look from this girl cashier. I wont be coming back.

The first few times i went it was really good. But today when i went it was horrible. Some of the food had hair in it, the cook at the teppanyaki place was rude and the steak he cooked was not that good. he didnt cook it long enough and the inside looked raw. It also tasted bloody but i dont know if thats how its supposed to taste. Overall it wasnt a good experience.

My wife has a deep appreciation for sushi buffets. After our beloved Fuji Buffet and Grill dropped in quality post COVID we were checking out other sushi buffets around the valleyWe went on a Saturday night at 5pm (to ensure the best quality and variety). We got seated after 15 minutes and went to check.First, I was very disappointed in the selection. The place is huge but the actual buffet area is rather small. Sushi rolls were not in great quality either and it appeared they were having difficulty keeping up with the amount of people.Staples at a buffet that I expect are egg rolls, dumplings, and crab legs. None of which were present. Staff required to be flagged down if you wanted a refill but thats not a big deal.Overall what was there was good. Sadly we will not be coming back as what we want in a buffet is variety.

Went here a few days ago and left disappointed. This restaurant used to be good, but quality has drastically decreased and prices have increased despite the low quality food and service. Some of the food were good, but a lot were old and chewy, probably reused and reheated. Service was terrible! Left without having our water refilled, despite asking for it multiple times during our meal. Take your money elsewhere!

Im saddened to be writing this review but I have to make sure yall know to be careful and check the stuff you may grab for mold. I went to get a small custard from the dessert section and was appalled to find not just one but many of them with mold. They had two trays out and both were off and should not have been out for consumption.I told the guy at the teppanyaki and he called someone out. I then told that lady and she didnt quite seem to grasp what I was saying till I pointed at the mold and told her this is bad and should be taken back.Just be careful. This was one of my favorite places. 😫Edit: 2 hrs later, im currently having major stomach cramps and attempting not to lose every bit of my insides. 😡 YALL LOST THIS CUSTOMER. UGH. Horrible!!! Staff were rude with very poor service. The food selection is great and if you plan to have your party here please dont! I never heard of a 2-hour limit in a buffet especially when you are told as a guest without being seated yet. Not in an American restaurant anyway. We had only been here for an hour, the servers assigned to us already had brought us our check and kept looking at our direction. I felt so rushed that eventually, I couldnt enjoy the ending portion of our lunch.The seating is unique...Im selecting the choice with this word as theyre very picky on where you wish to be seated.I selected a booth instead of the middle table, I know my kids and would rather have them seating in the inner part of the table, mostly preference. The greeter laughed and said, this is for 4 people only. Four people? 2 of my kids are tiny. 5 and 6 they do not take that much space. This got to me, but I decided to ignore it and give it a try as the rating is decent.Its quite humid inside. So during these heated weeks, be cautious on you dining and stay hydrated.Overall the food was average, Ive been to other locations where the food is alot more flavorful and a lot more affordable as well.It isnt the worst, so try it out and hopefully you have a more welcoming experience than I did.

Some of the worst food I’ve had was from here. All of the shellfish and meat was cold, actually everything was cold. The raw fish tasted old and I’m afraid of getting food poisoning now. It tasted like nursing home food. The “fried rice” was straight up white rice with peas…. The dessert was also extremely dry and flavorless.I would rather spend the extra $10 per person to go eat at kbbq.

The food is very good. But there are receptionists in the front are really bad. We are on the waiting list，but they skipped us and gave the table to the people behind us. They dont know how to arrange the customers，and they dont know how to answer the customers‘ requires either. Create your own stir-fry bar wasnt so tasty. Choices of protein were good, preparation and presentation after being cooked, not so good. All you can eat bar wasnt stocked fast enough. Ice cream bar not the best, everyone has to get it from giant tubs and you have to stick your arm into it, everyones dirty hands and clothing make it into the tubs. Not very hygienic.

This place is just ok. Some things were decent but the place does not have good fried rice. It tastes like paint. I am not a fan as it is of these real lightweight flavored fried rices. I know I sure didnt grow up on rice like that. I used to get that Polynesian devils rice when I lived in New England. I cant find too much like that here. I dont find enough fried rices that have big pieces of pork and dark with bean sprouts. I thought Id find one out here but I havent. A place has to have a good fried rice to be a good all around restaurant. The best fried rice here comes from the non buffets. And I never find good chicken fingers either or rare that I find good Peking ravioli or egg foo young. These are becoming a thing of the past.

I took the entire crew and photographers during my LA workshop (22 people) - and the food was pretty good.Its one of those all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants - so any comparison to a high-class Sushi place like Nobu is inappropriate. I liked it. However, I would not drive a 30+ min detour which is mandatory to achieve 5 stars in my rating scheme, so I would have given four stars.Why three stars, then? I think they were very lucky. For our group, they auto-added a 15% tip - and really, the service was not as good as their food. Still: I would have gladly given the 15% - BUT: they auto-added and then asked again for the tip on the checkout - thought we were stupid tourists, so they could possibly get double-tipped. Sorry, but when the guy said the tip is not included when it already was - I call this fraud. So three stars are a gift, I was tempted to give one star. That aside, the food is worth its money. Maybe they take this as a lesson and will train their staff to do better.

Buffet food is never really my go-to for freshness, and this buffet was a bit more crowded in regards to the layout of the food and how people would manage to get their food.Nevertheless, I expected to get food poisoning with the poke there, and it wasnt half bad. Most of the cooked meats and pizza are super dry, but they have a crammed little area for teppanyaki where other places would have a nice show of Mongolian bbq. Buffet wise, the chow mein and orange chicken were bad, which sucks, but the fried rice and coconut shrimp kind of made up for it. GO HERE FOR SEAFOOD because the chicken isnt the best. The fried shrimp, spicy tuna roll, baked shrimp dish (with creamy stuff on it) and related baked dishes, baked salmon, and coconut shrimp were amazing. The veggie options are good but the bok choy was a bit old, but the mushrooms are good palate cleansers. The sushi is ok, chocolate fountain and Chinese donut are ok, creme Brule is pretty good, sesame ball and ice cream are amazing. They have less deserts so no cheesecake. You have to pay for soft drinks but the service was alright. I wanted a good balance of poultry, red meat, and seafood, but unfortunately 90% of the good stuff was seafood, so the grill is the best place for land meat lol.

The staff are rude the food is putrid my wife got sick from eating their food. I believe they reuse old food like there sushi and soups which is why almost no one eats them. So if you want $50 food poisoning for two this is the perfect place.

I have to update my review after the few visits over past few months. Not sure if Covid hits or what, a lot of items are NO Longer on the menu. Menu has become very very limited, no more crab leg, no more duck, no more skew of barbeque shrimps and etc. The size of crème Brule has decreased significantly and now served in tiny aluminum bowls...

After getting our drinks, I noticed something was floating in it. After I took it out I noticed it was an ant. Asked one of the workers if they could give me another one. They had a bad attitude when asking what my drink was, and didnt even apologize for it either. On top of that, good wasnt even that good.

It was great when it was Zen Buffet. This new place, its ok. The staff is rude, they dont talk to you, they almost act as if the guests are in their way. None of them show ANY emotion. Its so expensive, and they have no structure in how they line ppl up to be seated. I have visited 3 times. I wont be going back. The rude staff, high prices, and structure of the place really set me off. Never again. I gave it a fair try.PS. The food choices are decent, pretty good sometimes.

Sumo Asian Buffet is all you can eat restaurant. It has a vast variety of food for all taste. If youre a picky eater or you love to eat this is your place! Here you can chose what to eat from salads, veggies, steak, ribs, sushi, seafood, soups and dessert. Is kind of expensive for getting your own food and if youre not a big eater. Its very popular, the best time to visit is between lunch and dinner. Prices tend to go up for dinner and on Saturdays for the same style of food, prices are cheaper for lunch during the week. The place is clean and so are their restrooms. They need to improve in customer service.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy your favorite, classic Asian dishes: do not eat here. It was like eating Asian food in bizarro world. Everything had a strange taste to it. Even the most basic dishes like noodles, beef & broccoli and orange chicken tasted wonky.Not great for vegetarians. They are missing a lot of opportunities to serve vegetable and tofu dishes.The service was horrible too. My glass was empty the entire time even though I placed it at the edge of the table to be refilled.Lastly, the prices are completely unreasonable. $62 for one adult and 2 kids at a BUFFET is unheard of, except of course, at a restaurant where they are hoping to take advantage of a rich neighborbood full of people who are used to throwing money around.

4 stars for food quality and variety in dishes. By far, one of the better buffets in the area. Dishes get constantly replenished. Dessert section is limitted to mousse cake, ice cream and fruits with a chocolate fountain. Its minor for my taste, then again, who goes to a buffet for the dessert? Only issue, they can do a better job in keeping the carpet clean and water cups a bit less greasie when they serve the water.

Some or many may like this place, for the price, and variety, but I wont return. I tried a lot of different dishes, and everything I tasted was mediocre, poor tasting, or overly salty, specifically the snow crab. Ive NEVER experienced snow crab to taste that salty before. Someone elses review commented on their food being very salty, and to me, this was it. Much of what else I tasted was over cooked, tuff or not hot/fresh tasting. I also looked around, and what I saw was grime along the floor corners. Especially the mens restroom. Sticky floors, and sticky serving handles. Ive been to other Asian buffets, and to me, this one ranks on the two star level. For the same price, I think Vegas Buffet in Glendale is much better.

Not only is it a great place to get what you pay for as far as food. Great food and service! On top of that. I lost my wallet and called in the next day. Only to find that they had secured my wallet for me. I was reunited with it the very same day. I highly suggest this place!

The place was okay. They had different types of food different from other Asian buffets Ive been to. I would recommend coming here as a place to hangout maybe just if youre really hungry. Also some of the food was cold and that was a bummer it would have been a 4 star review but since most of the food was cold theyre getting a 3 star review.

Cant believe how many times Ive just driven by this place. Ive had my share of buffets, as well as Chinese and Sushi. Heres the thing about this place that carries the most weight; all the food that I tasted (which was at least a sampe of %60 of everything they were serving) actually had (unlike most Asian based buffets) much flavor. There are different demographics and genres of food here that you can find enjoyment in. Staff was quite and attentive, with smiles and all black, clean uniforms. No real complaints at all. #crablegs
