P.F. Changs
21821 W Oxnard St, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, United States
I know this place could automatically be shunned as a shamelessly touristy Chinese Restaurant geared for clueless uninitiated, but it holds it own with some classic signature dishes.Mongolian Beef, just get it. Even the Taiwanese order this upscaled version with its Salty sweet goodness. The Spicy chicken. Its actually spicy. Deep fried and Crispy.Crispy Geen Beans. Goes well with anu choice of proteins. Tempura crispy goodness. And yes the sushi offerings pass muster. The Kung Pao sushi roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll could easily pass in your regular old sushi joint.

Wokcano

Please, dont visit this restaurant if you are vegan or have gluten free allergies. I had a wonderful experience the first time with a waiter that care about my allergies and was happy to double checked with the kitchen and the manager about the orange tofu. The second time was a horrible experience as they didnt not care so much about my allergies. I got the crazy rice, which I told the waiter twice no eggs and gluten free soy sauce. Well, my meal had eggs and then they ran out of gluten free soy sauce. The crazy rice had no garlic or ginger flavor and it barely had any vegetables. What it really had was a pound of oil. The manager came and told me that the reason I had eggs in my rice, was that the chef was chinese and he did not speak any english. I then ordered the pad thai noodles with no gluten free soy and again a pound of oil. I was sick as soon as I left the restaurant and throughout the night. Save yourself the trouble with this place.

Panda Express
1/2, 20040 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
Panda Express advertises a 10% senior discount on their corporate website. Twice I was refused by a very rude employee, AMY. I visit this restaurant once a week. When she is not working, the 10% is not a problem with other employees. Tonight, I ordered my meal and was waiting on shrimp that was not ready. While I waited I saw AMY go over to another employee standing near the register and whisper something to him. He looked up over the register at me. When my order was ready, the employee Lynn called me over to a register that was not being used and out of the regular line to pay. I asked for my 10% senior discount. He refused. It was clear that she had told him to refuse me the discount. I told him that I come in every week and always get it. AMY then re-appeared and told me NO. She said it is given out of common courtesy and she refused because of my previous experience with her. My previous experience was asking for my senior discount and informed her of your policy. She still said NO. I asked her if she was the manager and she said she was training and that the manager was on break and would not be back for 30 minutes. I left. Without my food.My issue is not so much about the food as is with this employee. I contacted Panda Express corporate the last time this happened and they told me that the senior discount was in effect. I guess the fish rots from the head down and if this is an employee, AMY, that is being trained for management, then your business is in trouble. You really need to take your reviews seriously. The way I was treated last time and tonight is no way a senior wants to be treated. Shame on you if you continue to employ her. I wont eat there again because I dont deserve the feeling that I had when I walked out of there. p.s. The discount would have been about $1.50. What kind of employee would be so insulting?

Sumo Asian Buffet And Grill

I give this place a 3 stars for the food it was good ?. But for the service it was definitely a 1. From the moment we walked in the girl that sat us down was rude. We asked if we could have a table not a booth she answered I already know. Idk how she knew we never told her. When my husband asked her for a large water, she responded rudely we only have 1 size. I then asked where is the restroom. She turned around and said over there I had to figure out where over there was. Then my husband and I went to the cook frying the meat n veggies and he was having an attitude. This was our 1st time at this restaurant we dont know the system there and this cook was not friendly or helpful. Then we had to ask the waiter bussing the tables could he please take our plates bcuz they were piling up and if we could get my son a refill on his soda and another water that seemed to bother him. He never did bring my husbands water. ? . And then to complete our experience there the people sitting across from us were allowed to bring in their dog. Dont get me wrong Im a dog lover! But I dont think the middle of the restaurant was the best place to accommodate the dog. Im sorry to say Ive never experienced bad service from most of the restaurant staff. I can count only 2 employees at this restaurant who were very polite food is good but we wont be back ?

The China Garden

Super cute little local Chinese restaurant! We took my son for his birthday - he wanted Chinese food (specifically scallion pancakes and cucumber salad)! It was wonderful! The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and we were all very pleased! We would highly recommend them! Their dumplings were also exceptional!

Tomato Patch
19730 Ventura Blvd Stacks, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
The Tomato Patch is a delightful family-ran hole-in-the-wall deli restaurant. Its tucked back in an alcove, out of sight and not very easy to spot unless you know where to look or are using a navigation platform to find it like I did.The four women that are constantly crafting fresh, healthy, delicious dishes are ALL extremely hard-working, friendly, and helpful. They aim to please, but also dont take smut from entitled jerks either. Theyll even cut the crust off of your precious little picky eaters grilled cheese sandwich for you with a genuine smile. I want to add that there is a man (most likely a family member) who is usually hanging around, sitting outside in one of the chairs stopping in periodically to shout at them although I never see him work or offer to help... I digress!Ive been coming here any chance I get since my twin pregnancy when I was craving all the healthy, delicious foods and not finding many quality options nearby. The menu is full of delicious options, although I must recommend the BLT, broccoli soup, and tuna/avocado/egg salad. Patrons who eat in are treated to a tasty sample of their vanilla and chocolate frozen yogurt as well after finishing their meal. Most items were between $8-$14. The half sandwich & half soup-or-salad is a deal at $10!The dining area is very small, likewise are the tables inside and out. I prefer eating outdoors in the courtyard for fresh air and space, although eating inside with all of the tantalizing smells isnt so bad unless you come in a group of 3+. There is also a display/beverage fridge with many options to choose from. The parking lot here is large although its usually packed and the spots are tight if you have a full size SUV. Ive seen a security guard patrolling the complex.Youll need a key to use the buildings restrooms located toward the rear of the complex. The downstairs womens restroom has only one toilet, but there are two toilets upstairs.Thank you ladies for always serving heaven on a plate with a smile! Ill be back.

Boulevard Burgers
21718 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, United States
I travel the country with my dog and a good diner is hard to come by anymore. So whenever I see a place like this itll be what I pick when I think of where I want to spend my not so easy to come by money. Gentrification has taken away the identity of most towns in America. Like many search places they have to beg their neighbors to eat local. Which I can understand because the burger that I had there was probably the best burger I will have in a long time. Unfortunately the look I got from the owner and I was ordering one of the most expensive items on his menu was that all too familiar look of disdain when he noticed that Im a traveler living out of a backpack he still made me an awesome sandwich but it clearly was not happy about it. I always tip to show my appreciation when people do things. The folks who ordered before me order six bags of items and they critique his work as if they were getting a family portrait leaving no tip. Broke truly is the New Black and Mom and Pop business need to remember every dollar that walks through that door pays their rent should be treated with kindness...

Topanga Village
6256 CA-27, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, United States
OK, so everyone knows The Westfield Topanga Mall, located at 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd in Canoga Park, has every shop you can imagine plus more to come. But did you know about the outdoor mall across the street called The Village? This place is awesome, not just for the great stores and restaurants like Lucilles Bar-B-Que, Dans Chinese food, grab some sushi at Katsuya and Wokano, try the best Mexican food at XOC Tequila Grill, or get a steakhouse vibe at JOEY.Casual dining experiences include Cava, Veggie Grill, or Sweetfin, just to name a few. And if you want to wrap things up In one sweet bow, you can easily just go to Sloans. They’ve got a wide selection of ice cream and candy. For the health conscious like me, theyve a fresh smoothie shop, the 24-hour fitness and the hot eight yoga center is on the second levelFor the value seeking needin to buy in bulk theres even a Costco Wholesale warehouse on the far end. They’ve even got a state of the art VR laser tag facility called Sandbox as well as an outside play area for children with netting and frog lily pad like shapes for the kids to climb and play on safely while their parents watch or shop nearby. And if that weren’t enough theres even a brick & mortar Amazon Fresh site across the street. But the best part of all is you never have to worry about where you leave your car as there is always plenty of parking. You are after all at the mall…duh ツChriston
