Awesome korean bbq spot in Santa Ana. They have alot of choices and they have soups. The service is outstanding. Would like a bit more sides but it was okay. I also really liked the ambiance. Definitely coming back.

Before you go look at the pricing. If you choose the all you can eat everyone must have the all you can eat. And its for only 2 hours. Research the prices because the menu is similar with a 10 dollar upgrade. The website said 17.00 when we got there it was 29.00 for basic. The seasoning is ok but not great.The staff is great.

One of the better quality AYCE buffet left in OC. This place was nice and clean. Meat was quality. The egg drop soup was good! The other soup with the noodle is mediocre. Corn cheese was yummy. They have a nice variation of banchan which was a plus. Service was great, and price was fair. I will definitely comeback when I am in the mood for Korean bbq

The place looks amazing, so we figured the food would be as well. But the food was OK & the service wasnt really great. The waitress was very friendly but our drinks were empty for more than half the time we were there & we always had to flag her down to order. All in all, I wouldnt come here again but if you do decide to come I recommend the beef bugoli & spicy pork belly.

This place is a great the meat quality is pretty good and the service was great. This is one of the few KBBQ places around this area which is a great option if you dont want to drive to Garden Grove or LA. I have probably tried all of and this one if definitely up there with the best of them.

Had A LOT(will get to later) of the LA Marinated Short Ribs, Spicy Rosemary Shrimp, Spicy Pork Belly, Angus Strips, and some House Noodle Soup. Arrived about 9:45pm, seated around 10pm, they close at 11pm. You can order 4 meats at a time, and whatever menu lost you pick from, you and your guest(s) also automatically get those choices. We chose the Emperor. The sides were delicious especially the kimchi, the soup was also delicious. 10:35pm roles around and our server says, hey guys last call, you can put in your last order and then whatever else you want. I said load me up on some short ribs....This guy brings back like 12 short ribs, not a complaint! Loved this place, great atmosphere and fair prices for All You Can Eat. 10/10 would go again if I ever go back to California.

Not worth the premium price. Other places offer you more meat options at there low tier menu than Wang Cho does at there mid tier and way more expensive. Mandatory 17% tip for subpar service. Rice left in a tray and not handed out to group, super small portions for what is already a 6 people group. Never offered a refill on drinks. Mind you there was only one soda at the table should be a simple offer. Spiders coming out the vent. Made the experience just not worth the hassle. Left disapointed. On arrival a employee told us to bascially leave that they where closing early. Inside was made no comment on this either. Spend your money else where.

Today was my 3rd visit to Wang Cho, and the food and service were excellent each visit. The best thing about this place is that your grill gets replaced very often without having to ask! This is awesome because meat especially marinated ones can burn very easily when your grill is not clean. Ive been to many K-bbq places and rarely do they change the grill promptly for you even if its burning and smoking everywhere. Not once I had to ask a sever to change my grill here because someone is always paying attention as theyre passing by. I really appreciate that as it makes a huge difference when eating K-bbq. Not to mention their banchan is excellent (especially kimchi, steamed egg and soybean stew) and the portion is generous. My go to for the meat is their brisket, pork belly and marinated pork spare ribs. Also try their noodle soup or rice soup at the end of the meal. So goooood!

Terrible experience! I came in with a group of 7, waitress didn’t bother to ask for our drinks and then she disappeared, she only appeared at the end when delivering the receipt. AND THEN WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE GRATITUDE WHEN WE GOT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE.

Upon arrival the waitress says we have to scan the menu from our phone, I asked if we could get a menu, she brings back one small paper to go menu I was puzzle... when I looked around there were alot of beautiful printed hardcover menus that were displayed on another table. With that said service was just okay and the food was good. It was an experience for us, I can say been there done that.

So I came here because reviews boast this place as High Quality. Let me frank, the meat was good at best unless you are going for dishes on the king/ emperor. The meat themselves are cut thinner than any other kbbq style shop I have been to. The tofu stew needs work along with the other side dishes.The only thing I could appreciate was the service.

Loved this BBQ place especially when you do it yourself at the table...you season it to your liking and of course to your preference on wellness of your meats. Things started out pretty rough, our waitress initially forgot to turn our BBQ on, then when someone else did and put on our first item, she had also forgot our tongs/scissors so we burned our first item.After we got a new waiter, our experience became better. All of their meats are absolutely delicious. I think well try again and see if our experience is better, because the food was very good.

Was in town and wanted to get some KBBQ with my sister. Was worried that thered be a long wait, but was pleasantly surprised that we were able to be seated immediately.Place is spacious and clean. Utensils were spotless and the grill grates were replaced often. Service was simply spectacular. A waiter/waitress was always available nearby, and they were very attentive without being intrusive. Service at KBBQ restaurants can definitely be hit or miss, but the service at Wang Cho was up there as one of the best experiences Ive had eating out. Definitely warrants a nice tip!Now the most important bit: the food here was fantastic, especially for an AYCE place. All the cuts were seasoned well and given in generous quantities. Personally love pork intestines, and Wang Cho does pork intestines particularly well.Was tremendously satisfied and happy with basically everything during our visit to Wang Cho. Will definitely be back, and have already let friends and family know that this is the place for KBBQ in the Santa Ana area.

It was alright. I thought the food would be cooked like a show for the guests who arrived before eating kind of like at Benihana. But its a new experience. You cook by yourself. In a restaurant.If you are a culinary artist congrats, youre gonna love this place. But if youre a guy that just wants to eat someplace nice without all the gimmicks, find somewhere else. Because your foods taste literally depends on you.I removed another star because of those blood-curdlingly loud chairs. You may think Im being dramatic, but if you visit this place and they sit you down inside, youll definitely see what I mean. It made me give anyone who actually stood up the stink-eye.

I had already gone to the Wang Cho in Riverside but decided to come here because I received a coupon on the mail for a BOGO 50% off meal.The problem with Wang Cho is that theres already a lot of competition in OC so theres really got to be a lot of differentiation thatll make this place the one to come back to.Things I liked:- Yelp waitlist - seriously cant stress enough how important this is AND the fact that you can check in from pretty much anywhere helps a lot- Rewards program - you just punch in your phone number when you check in- Fast service - seriously, it was like clockwork from the server to the bussers- Constant grill changes - I never once asked to change the grill and the bussers would consistently walk around to ensure that you had the cleanest grill possibleThings I didnt like:- Pricing - its a bit steep at $25 for the lowest me h and there arent a lot of things to order in comparison to even just Gen Korean which is cheaper but offers more on their menu- Small Portions - this I can understand as a portion control. To some, this can be beneficial for less risk of overeating but it is a bit cumbersome when you just dont want to ask for a lot of meat orders and just have them on the tableOverall, I cant say that Wang Cho left me with an awesome experience but the service was excellent and the food was really good. I would probably continue to come back here if I had coupons to bring down the cost, but with the way I see it, Wang Cho has the restaurant size to accommodate large parties but they lack in attendance likely due to sheer (over)pricing.

Initially I did not want to rate this place because I didnt want people to see it and for the place to be too crowded, but this restaurant deserves all of the great reviews people can give!Its a new Korean BBQ restaurant so maybe we went on a good day, but Ive been here on 2 occasions now and on both visits the staff and food were top notch! The staff is very friendly, our water jug was never empty, food came out promptly, and it seemed like we never ran low on sides either. They were much more quick and efficient than some of the other KBBQ restaurants in Orange County.The meats were excellent and the choices are amazing for each tier. You get good value for what you pay for!I will definitely come here again with friends and family and would for sure recommend for others to give this place a try. Amazing!

Today the service was horrible and come to find out the gratuity was automatically added because we had 5 people. The prices are already high compared to everyone else and compared to others the quality is just sub par. But taking 30$ in tip for horrible service is completely ridiculous. Seems if party is 5 or more they can ignore you and still have guaranteed tips. We where not advised of this either so it came as a big surprise. Gratuity are given voluntarily based on service not based on party sizes especially when you have to cook everything yourself Thats just ridiculous. First time seeing this last time ever coming here. Our service was not worth 30$ no where even close.

One of the best Services I have received in a very long time. The food was typical cuts of meat, for Korean barbecue nothing really stood out. (not a bad thing). But when the service is on point friendly & courteous it just makes you want to go back just to receive A1 service. Really enjoyed their pickled cucumbers. I really wish they offered us a side potato salad. Other than that was very pleased with my visit. Definitely would recommend if in the area.

High quality all you can eat Korean food at good prices. I highly recommend the Beef Bulgogi. The pork belly is average. But the pork Bulgogi is good and spicy. The Cali Steak is excellent. The sausage is great. The marinated pork ribs are good. The brisket is good. The LA marinated short rib is great. The beef rib finger is not that great. The Wang Cho steak is not that great. The shrimp is shell on. I take the shell of before I grill it but thats messy. I like the garlic butter shrimp better than the spicy shrimp. The beef belly is good and sliced paper thin. This is definitely a meat lovers spot! Lots of assorted meats offered. They have 3 different menu’s to choose from starting at $29.99. The more you pay, the more choices you get. The only thing they don’t offer are the spicy Korean sauce for the briskets. Plus no raw garlic n bean paste sauce. Something that makes Korean eats more authentic. But service is great and they change the grill pan often.

Ive been to many AYCE Korean bbq restaurants and I highly recommend Wang Cho in Santa Ana. Food quality seems much better than others and the working staff is excellent. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. Outdoor ayce dining open, great service, good quality of meat and sides.Came with some friends on a weekend, we put ourselves on the waitlist on yelp first. We were seated after the mandatory temperature checks and hand sanitizer. No menus, but it’s digital via a QR code which is a neat feature I thought most places should start utilizing. Service was great, the first order while at kbbq is always the longest and they were able to cover everything from the sesame seed oil to the soondooboo side dishes.

Long wait to get in, but thats probably all kbbq places here (~1hr). They seemed short staffed as the ones that were there were constantly running around trying to help everyone. Hence, waiting to get your order in was quite slow. But once you did they brought out the meats pretty quickly. Everything looked and tasted really good. They had ran out of wrappers at this point in the night. Overall I enjoyed the place and would go again.

Great food. My favorite part was the tofu soup. Best tofu soup Ive ever had from a KBBQ place! The only reason why I docked a star is because Im not a fan of the prices. Wang cho is one of the best kbbq places around! You get what you pay for. The prices are a bit higher than the average kbbq place but if youre willing to splurge it is worth it.Heres why:•Extremely fast and attentive service. You can tell the staff knows how to work as a team. Side dishes were replaced/refilled quickly and so many different staff members got involved and attended to us. Our grill was changed out as soon as it was charred because the staff continuously pays attention. There are other places where you ask for more side dishes and you wont get it for 10 minutes or more, but not here!•The QUALITY of the meat here is some of the best Ive had! Perfect fat to meat ratio and you can taste the freshness. I had called ahead of time to make a reservation since we had 9 people going including a baby. They get busy in the evenings so if you have a large party i recommend doing so just make sure your there before ur reservation time or right on time they had our table ready just before our set time an we were still on the freeway thankfully we did get there within our 10 minute window however they start your 2 hour eating time for the exact time you made your reservation so be ready to order. They seated us next to the high chairs and clean grills it was unfortunate having to constantly move the babies stroller since they needed to get into that corner quiet alot would have preferred a seat away from all the items they needed to grab since there were other tables just as large that could have accommodated us as well. They came by often asking for our meat order any refills on side dishes and if we wanted our grills changed out. I prefer this location to some others ive been to around here they have small portions so you get to try each meat and still have room for more. They have quick service an theres always someone there asking if you need anything. My family is a bit old fashioned so it sucks they dont have any paper menus since my uncles dont have high tech phones to find the menu online. The whole family had alot of fun overall awsome experience tons of fun and yummy food. I cant wait to go again oh and for those who may not know large party reservations the tip is included in the bill.

I liked that there were different levels of cost so that there was an affordable option for everyone 👍 the service was decent but they forgot one of our meats until we had to ask about it. It’s an ok spot, definitely busy during rush times (dinner special). Meat trays were small portions and the staff knew how to pace customers with portions/grill heat. Very pricey for meat, go for the quick KBBQ experience but if you want better premium cuts, go elsewhere. Steamed egg was very good, beef brisket were cut a bit thinner and easily burned. Would recommend bigger cuts like bulgogi or galbi. Side dishes were good.

This place is amazing!! Definitely would recommend the fire chicken, beef and pork bulgolgi. I would say avoid either the basil or garlic chicken (not sure which) but everything else was fantastic! Great service as well. The staff is frequently in the vicinity to make sure you have everything you need and to clear used dishes. I would definitely make this a regular spot if I lived here

The hostess was polite and did a great job of getting a table cleared and wiped for my friends and I on a busy Saturday night. We were sat in 5 minutes around 7:45 pm. The food came out fast. My one beer took over 30 minutes to get to me. By the time I flagged someone down to remind them of my beer order someone came 10 minutes later with two wrong beers. Yeah I have no idea how that happened. I told him the Blue Moon and the Stella he brought were not the Spacedust that I had ordered so long ago. He returned 5 minutes later with just one glass time. Upon drinking it I realized it was just the Blue Moon he had brought me before hand. 5 minutes later I found the same guy who served my drink serving drinks at another table. I politely took my glass to him and asked him to get me the correct one. All in all the food is great, the server’s are not very attentive, and nobody here knows how to serve one single beer to a table.

I went here for my sisters birthday dinner. It was a last minute decision but Im glad we did it. This was my first experience with Korean BBQ. Ive had many people tell me about it and that I should try it, I just hadnt had the opportunity until today. We walked in they took our temperature and seated us out on the patio. Theyre was a nice breeze and the patio was pretty full. If you want to go eat somewhere and want lots of space outside youll feel comfortable here, youre not sitting out in the parking lot. There were 3 of us and we decided to go with the King all you can eat. So you get 4 dishes to choose every round. The cucumbers, kimchi and macaroni salad were my favorite! The beef was amazing, my sister had shrimp. You can ask for rice if you want and the fresh veggies tied it all together. The food was great, we were stuffed. The staff was helpful friendly and quick. Since it was my first place I have nothing to compare it to but I think this was a really good start and Im up for the challenge 🤗.

In terms of a KBBQ spot where you cook ur food at the table, this place is aight. There are 3 menus with different price ranges. I got the King (middle menu for like $35) and the best thing I had was the Wang Cho steak, which you can get a pretty good amount of before you leave. However, the server will kind of avoid you if you keep wolfing down steak like a starving lion. Their bulgogi was also pretty solid. I think this place was a one timer for me. Going back to the Benihanas in Tustin. That place smashes this place to bits.

Only reason I gave a 4 was due to the service, when they brought the tray of meat to us, it was just placed there & the guy left. We were 2 families & we each chose 5 different meats & we couldnt tell which meat was what, we waited a few minutes until someone came around again & tell us which was what. Its all you can eat, they do come around to change your grill when its dirty, but the wait was a while for new meat to arrive.

Overall it was a good place to eat. The meat was really high quality and it showed. The flavor however was lacking a bit. The brisket tasted different and just bland. The brisket sauce and salts didnt really help either. And the price was really high (although there are a lot of options)! The service was fast and polite!I would still prefer Gen or Chum Soot Gol due to the flavor of the meat, sides, and sauces (plus Chum has all you can eat ice cream). This is why its a 4/5 stars for me.Overall if you prefer quality and a more pure meat taste then youll love this place! If youre looking for cheaper options with more flavor, go somewhere else. Happy hour at bar is solid just as well the lunch menu.Been three times and the experience seems to diminish each visit with little challenges occuring. Ive eaten a wide variety of AYCE kbbq and this restaurant ranks among the highest for how fresh and well-made the dishes were. The kimchi in particular is very fresh and thick, and all the beef dishes were really well prepared. Very pricey dont let u know about the menu at all they just expect u to know asap pan that cooks food turns charcoal black when there supposed to switch it out for a clean 1 every now and than, charged us an extra person when they didnt eat also didnt bring out extra food for that extra person only brought out portions for me and my wife yet my son tried some meat and they assumed it was right to charge him as if he ordered but he didnt we just shared plates workers kept moving alot that we got no help when being served and seated, we literally got ditched all the way almost had to go in the back just to get more forks and chopsticks since everyone ignored us costed 80+ just for 3 ppl and its not even all u can eat u have to select 4 meats and the rest u pay as well which is pointless food wasnt even good, lady helping us was saying her manager told her to charge us my boy when he wasnt there she lied, never coming back worst place to eat and tables werent clean just wiped and smugged with oil from previous visits.every ones tables were smokey since they forgot to replace there grill like ours 1 was sooo smokey it gave a burnt charcoal smell I see why the fire truck if parked next to them there known for fires since they forget 24/7 dont come here trust me any other Korean BBQ will do but not this forget there reviews

Had a nice meal there with a very friendly female server providing good services. We went for the $23/Person and a pitcher of beer. There was no wait for the table when we arrived at 2130. The parking is large.

I really loved this place!! Great service. Food was SUPER GOOD! Everyone was super nice. I was having a bad day but one of the waitress knocked over water by accident 😂😂😂😂😂 . That really made me smile. I was in tears. It was super funny. YOU MADE MY DAY! To the waitress, if you are reading this Im so sorry I made you laugh so hard with what I said lol. I really hope you didnt get in trouble. I cant wait to go back 💜 I loved it 😊 I really recommend this place .

YUMMY AYCE KOREAN BBQ. Hands down one of the best KBBQ I have had.Very friendly staff and quick to bring everything you want. Great selection on meat and sides. First time coming to this restaurant we actually drove 32 miles to get there just to get bad service from the waiters as soon as we got to our table we felt rushed to order and to hurry up and eat not only that but they were also passing by our table and wouldn’t even ask if we needed anything we had to constantly call the waiter I understood they were busy but that is not an excuse to ignore only our table and to keep passing by with out acknowledging us also my bf kept asking them if they had a certain rice paper and they wouldn’t say anything till the end they told him they were out of it for the night we wanted to try a different place besides our usual favorite Korean spot but turned out bad definitely don’t recommend this place on Saturday nights or maybe over all the quality of the meat wasn’t the best either not very fresh pretty frozen and not much sides to choose from also poor waiter service and bad experience.

Get the king at least. A lot of the premium items located in this upgrade are the better tasting items. Service was very good but servers seem stretched at times.
