Wokcano
150 S San Fernando Blvd #20, Burbank, CA 91502, United States
Today me and my family went to Wokcano in Burbank. The front host was helping someone pay their bill. I asked if we could sit by the booth at the bar, she said sure we all sat down and less than a few minutes we all said it smells over here like sewage. So we got up and asked the gentleman who now was in the hosts spot who happened to be the Manager by the name of Kevin if we could move somewhere else because it smells over by the bar area like sewage he said we had a leak and were letting it dry out .I didnt see any fans or blowers either way he asked the female host to sit us all somewhere else, so she takes us to a small table at first where we all didnt fit since it was a table for 4 people, so she said lets move over here which was a corner booth and we all fit comfortably. We sat down and noticed how dirty the booth was just taking a look at the pictures. The picture frame above us was covered with dust that looked over a 1yr old of dust and the walls were filthy with stains everywhere. I asked our waitress if she could get the Manager for me she said sure .The manager was Kevin he walked over and said did I have a question and kneeled down by my side of the table and I said to him as a restaurant owner myself this place is filthy just take a look and he said my mistake I must of overlooked this area .I said to Kevin how can you overlooked this filthy it looks like its been here over a year, and I told him I was going to take pictures and send it to their Cooperate office he said thats fine. Kevin sent over 2 female waitresses 20 minutes later to wipe down the dust also by the window seals next to me. I also asked Kevin why the food isnt the same as their other location in Valencia he said were all different that I dont understand why it would be different since its all the same Franchise. We finally received our bill it was $208.00, and I told my wife to take a look at it to make sure it was correct, and she noticed a $26.00 meal we never ordered and when I told my wife to take a picture of the receipt the waitress grabs it and says I think I made a mistake? No she was trying to add a meal on our receipt for us to pay maybe for her meal till she got caught she revised the bill and brought it back at$184.01 we paid the bill and as a courtesy left her a $20.00 tip .I will not be going back here and before I forget my wife wanted to use the ladies restroom before we left so we all waited for her outside of the Restaurant and she came out and said the bathroom ? was filthy with a bag of Burger King in the toilet .I hope the department of health and safety shows up here.Kevin should be fired for doing a sorry job by not keeping the place sanitary for paying customers.

It was a raining night and I wanted somethinghot. I found myself looking for a AYKE Thai Buffet I used to go to on Burbank Blvd. In Burbank. And, I found it. BUT, it is now a full service restaurant ( use the term service loosely) because there was none. It is now a stylish eatery with a full bar and live entertainment. A guitarist playing soft standards. Siri has tons of atmosphere. Okay the joint looks sexy. Good enough for a frist date.Service was very poor. As I said I wanted something hot, so I ordered wonton soup and a main dish, I waited and waited and, you get the picture. I finally flag the server down. A young pleasant girl that whispered barely audible 20 minutes later, we are out of wonton soup. The only time I got her attention was when she was serving a nearby table.Food was good. I ordered the fried fish in garlic sauce. And added a small egg fried rice which cost extra. The order could have fed four people. Again the server could have warned me that this was a family size portion I am alone and would have ordered something else. It almost felt like I was at a Chinese restaurant. Where they bring large portions of food to share. I left most of it there. With all this said. I WILL GO BACK SOLO to see if that they had an off night, before I bring a date here.Siri read this ! Thursday February 8 at 7pm.

I really enjoyed my buns and bowls here. It was so easy to make my own bowl and I love the unlimited topping choices. Mangos, and Radish and Veg OH MY! Those are a few of my favorite things!!!! but they have so much more and the sauces I have to say the red spicy creamy red curry is my favorite it taste great on noodles with chicken I could drink that sauce if theyd let me and for the steamed buns you have to go braised beef all the way with the other meats the buns feel a bit dry.Still confused on what to order Mix your meat, mix your sauces get em all Its YOUR bowl MADE YOUR WAY and ieverything is so fresh all made in house. Im so Glad this place is here in Burbank. I now have food options near home.

After a couple of hours doing laundry we decided to give this place a try for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in everything looked really clean and welcoming. Young lady behind the counter was very kind and polite I think she knew I had never been here before. We ordered a pad thai another beef noodle plate some fried banana and the mango rice pudding. We really enjoyed the food the meat was cooked well the seasoning was awesome. We will definitely be coming here again Id recommend this place for anyone who is craving some Thai food. Will be trying different plates next time we go but so far nothing disappointed. My son is a very picky eater and even if he was down to try the noodles and liked them. The mango rice pudding was a big hit but Id recommend chillin it in the fridge before eating it.

I love the food at Sweetfin, but their quality control is abysmal. It's only this location, which is so strange!I order from Uber Eats and this particular Sweetfin literally never adds my taro chips to my combo burrito.Guys. A combo… means more than one.How can you not include them every.single.time?!Also, why do you give me choices for extra sauce that I pay for… but you never give me?Please for the love of all that is holy, give me my dang sauce!Lastly, whoever is making the burritos needs to learn the difference between cauliflower rice and bamboo rice. The ticket literally says cauliflower rice, but of the countless times I've ordered it, it's only been right once.I'm not one to complain as a rule, I know people are human and trying to do their best, but this is starting to get a smidge ridiculous.I've ordered from other locations and my order is always correct, but I'm not even asking for always, I'll take sometimes!Listen, if 65% of the orders I make with you are correct, I will consider it to be both a miracle and a blessing, and will thank you heartily for it.Until then, I remain flummoxed and a bit disappointed.

I really wanted to like this place. I dont normally leave bad reviews, but it felt like this place went out of its way to ensure I had a bad time.I went with a group of coworkers, six in total. They dont have anything larger than a four top so they put two tables together, but the way its set up is that there is bench seating along the wall and no chairs on the other side of the table... so five people sat facing in one direction, and they pulled up what seemed like an ottoman for me to sit on. I was sitting at the corner of the table basically half way into the aisle that runs through the restaurant, like two feet away from the bar. People were constantly walking by and I had to scoot it every time so they could pass. Not comfortable for an hour+ meal.We were all seated about 10 minutes before Happy Hour was over and our waiter told us to figure out our orders quick so we could get the deals. Welp, he didnt come back until 5 minutes AFTER happy hour was over to take our orders. He said we missed our window but that was 100% on him. After we basically begged he offered to try and get the discounts for us, but came back and said he couldnt. So my burger and beer went from about $15 to $30.Oh about the burger, ended up going with the Pub Burger, asked for medium rare and got well done. Honestly it was actually pretty good but not worth $16 especially when it was cooked wrong and came without any sides (fries are extra...) Oh, and he also took everyone elses order EXCEPT MINE and walked away. Had to wait until he came back with the drinks to order. At this point I was annoyed and uncomfortable so I wanted to leave early. I asked if I could get my check separate (just a beer and a burger mind you) and he gave me a snarky Great, NOW you tell me. Like my man, Im sitting on a foot stool and youre lack of service doubled my bill. Please just let me leave in peace. The rest of the group paid together and he took two of their drinks off to make up for the missed happy hour deals, basically making me regret asking for the separate check because I got no such discount. It felt kinda malicious but that might just be projecting my annoyance of the whole experience onto it.Again, REALLY wanted to enjoy this place. Love a good themed restaurant and it was pretty fun inside, but that waiter really killed me. I wish I got his name. He was a white guy with a really obnoxious jokey personality, not sure if that narrows it down. Would not recommend to anyone with more than four people in their party and ONLY if they can get the happy hour discounts.

First, before I type my review, a short history lesson (not that it has any impact on my review...but, it was definitely interesting to have found out). As I understand it, the current owners are the original owners, who opened the restaurant (under its previous name) in 2003 (or, was it 2006...Im already blanking on that part), and then sold it in 2013, after which, the new owner kept the original name. Then, somewhat recently, the original owner bought it back, and decided to give the place a new name...kind of a rebirth. Ok, history lesson over. Onto the food, service, and the rest ..........Starting with the service, my server was the owners son. Having driven in from Las Vegas (was 1 of 2 drivers having brought 2 bus-loads of students for Universal Studios Grad Night), I arrived approximately 40 minutes before the end of the lunch service. Even though my arrival was somewhat close to the closing time, he was attentive. Im not going to say it was the best service...but, it WAS extremely good...absolutely nothing to complain about. Just based on service, alone, Id definitely return. As for the atmosphere, I couldnt have asked for anything better. The up-front outdoor seating, though close to the street, was incredibly pleasant. With the plants around the dining area, it gave the appearance of a wonderful back porch setting. In Europe, this type of seating is common...but, here in the US, its rare to find restaurants doing this. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. Now, for the most important part - the food. For lunch, I had the Penang curry w/ chicken & Thai iced tea, following by sticky rice w/ mango. The last two are common in, pretty much, every Thai restaurant...so, I dont really feel any need to comment on them, other than to say that both were great. As for the Penang curry, it was exceptionally good...so much so, that I decided to order the Khao Soi (with beef) to go, to be my dinner later that evening. That turned out to be a smart decision...as great as the curry was, the Khao Soi was even better.Definitely, a true gem. When you walk up, and see it, you might second-guess about wanting to eat here...but, do yourself a favor, and give it a try. I promise, you wont be disappointed...and, youll be wanting to come back before youre even halfway finished.

Expect to have a fun night.Because of EDB, I realized I been missing out and need to explore Burbank more. You should tooMy sister and I enjoyed the meal and drinks. We had a wonderful night. Including my nephew who enjoyed it even more with his vrigine cocktail. His favorite is the burger. CheersHeres what I ate.• Skirt Steak Avocado Chimichurri | comes with asparagusthis was highly recommended by everyone there. They did not disappoint. Every slice is medium rare and every bite you get the avocado and chimichurri sauce. Perfect bite.• Sashimi Tiradito | raw fish with purple potatoes chips, pickled onions and peanuts with a flavorful citrus sauce all over. Its the sauce where you would lick the plate clean.• Shrimp & Chicken Paella | this is so flavorful. As much as I love this dish, I am trying not to eat too much rice so I definitely ate the other two more.• Mushroom Truffle Burger | comes with fries. anything mushroom I would get so I had to have my hands on these. I got lucky I even got a bite into this burger. My nephew devoured it.• Mediterranean Salad | everything about this bowl is healthy. You can add protein but the amount of avocado in this salad, you really dont need it. It was so good as is.Cocktails• Smoke & Strawberries• Pom Pom

GRANVILLE

My girlfriend and I came here after a long day of traveling. We visited in the middle of the rain storm that pummeled SoCal. They were still open, smiling and making great food. The menu was small but appeared packed with flavor. The server informed us that EVERYTHING was made in house at time of order and as such, it was best practice to order as it was shown on the menu. We ordered drinks, I had a Stout Beer and a Lemonade Cocktail which were both delicious. My GF had a strawberry lemonade. The drinks came quickly and the server checked in on us after a few minutes to make sure everything was to our liking. In terms of food, I ordered the Grilled Cheese strip with Tomato Bisque dip as a starter and she ordered a Mediterranean style salad. The dippers were a little over priced for what it was, however it was still delicious. For our main courses I got the Mac and Cheese with Chicken and she ordered a Turkey Club which came with house made chips (Pictured). Both of these were amazing and worth every penny. The food came quick and hot. The Mac was rich and creamy. The club was fresh and crunchy, but not so much that it hurts the roof of your mouth like a lot of places do with their toast. The chips were awesome. Again the waiter came by to check multiple times to ensure we were enjoying our meal.Out side of the food, the ambiance is great, the entire restaurant is lovely to look at. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and every staff member we had an interaction with was nothing but great. Awesome place, awesome experience.

After careful consideration and reading about the dangers of food contamination related to raw fish products Ive decided to write a review of this business. Two nights ago my fiancé and I ate at this establishment. We ordered two Shogen Combonation platters. This dish had 10 pieces of raw sushi and 5 pieces of California roll and 5 piece of some sort of crunch roll.THe crunch roll and California rolls were okay actually pretty good but the sushi was awful. My fiancé had one piece and immediately felt that she wasnt going to be able to eat another piece. She didnt want me to feel bad so she didnt tell me immediately but she eventually said she wondered if they would take the sushi back and get crunch rolls instead.I thought she was overreacting at first. Boy was I wrong. Should have known better. A womans intuition is always right! We asked our server if she would take the sushi back and she went back and asked the chef and he refused to take the sushi back.I felt bad and ordered her another crunch roll the same one hat came with the combo. I ate all my sushi and rolls. It wasnt until after we left the restaurant that I stress feeling a bit sick to my stomach.I was not able to have a proper nights sleep and only got three hours of sleep. Now going on my second sleepless night, diarrhea and stomach pain I think its important to tell people about my experience at this restaurant.DO NOT ORDER Sushi from this place.STAY AWAY unless you want food poisoning.I would not recommend this place to any of my family or friends. Needless to say I will not be returning here.Im considering reporting this incident to the LA health Department.
