We ordered the family pack 3 entrees for $45 and this is what we got. Take note today is Mothers Day 2024. We received half the size of the portioned plates and it seems like they are single order portions. We ordered more dishes aside from this but it was just very disappointing. We paid $90 for the foods we got that would feed only 2 people but we ordered the family pack that it says was good for 4-5 people. I would not recommend pick up stix and please go to a place who would give fair amount of food for the price you pay. Specially for a special occasion please dont get or order from them. All of you will be disappointed a hundred percent. My Mothers Day celebration has been sad unfortunately because of the food that we chose to get and was not fair to give us the rights amount for the price we paid. Not all of was able to eat and I had to cook extra for the rest of my guest.

My wife, her family of 5, and I just flew back into town. On our way home we decided to stop into Escondido to change the baby, and grab a bite to eat. We discovered this establishment because it looked like a fun place to celebrate our first meal in California. We walked in to order food, my wife indicated to the employee that she needed to change the baby, and to my surprise the employee directed her to a McDonalds across the plaza. This was completely unnecessary to send her with the baby walking across the plaza to use another establishments facilities. None the less I quickly blew it off, and asked my wife if she would just go back to the van and change the baby, and I would order her food for her. As we all started ordering food it became apparent that there were few options on the menu. Basically rice, and meat. The food we ordered was approx. $10.00-$11.00 a plate. Which totaled nearly $80.00 for all 6 of us. Honestly I thought, for that price it had to be pretty amazing. NOPE! It was basically a knock off Panda Express with rice, chicken, teriyaki, or a mix of the meats. Oh and it came in the same kind of to-go container as Panda. But the restaurant went with black. Cool. At this point, I couldnt even stand being in there. But before I left I needed to use the restroom. I got up, tried to open the door and realized someone was in there because the door was locked. I sat back down and waited patiently. Not long after, One of my In-laws informed me that I had to ask permission to use the restroom. The employee must of seen me trying because when I walked up he had the bathroom key in hand, and ever so cooley handed off the presumably dirty key to me. I reluctantly used the facility, dropped the key back off on the counter, and got everyone back in the car. But out of all of this... What really irked me was after realizing I had to have a key to use the restroom, it explained to me why the employee directed my wife off to McDonalds in the first place. You have to give them money first. Bottom line, if you want more bang for your buck, more options, more food, pay less money, and not have to ask to use a dirty restroom key? go to a Panda Express!

It is delicious.The Ddeokbokki is spicy and so authentic. Id recommend just the regular ddeokbokki not the special. Special only has one dumpling and one shrimp and cheese added on top.I got the large chicken boneless with garlic sauce on the side, and the fried chicken was soooo crispy. All of this took 10 minutes to come out at 6:30 pm on a saturday!!!This and the special ddeokbokki was perfect portions for me and my parents. Prices were completely reasonable too. Total of $45 for both things.I highly recommend this place.정말정말 너무 맛있었어요!! 추천합니다!!

I will never be coming to this restaurant ever again. I order from Poki Poki through DoorDash on the regular and usually have it delivered. Recently I've been opting for pickup since it's cheaper. Every time I have picked up an order the same employee helps me and gives so much attitude, and all I do is say I'm picking up an order.This last pickup was the final straw. I walk in, she asks me if I have a pickup and I say, “yes, it's an order for Heather.” She couldn't hear me so I repeated myself and emphasized my name so she could hear me better through my mask. She brings me my order and goes, “Here you go HeaTHER. HeaTHER. Her name is HeaTHER.” I grabbed my order said thank you and she went, “you're welcome HeaTHER.” And continued to make fun of me and my name as I walked out of the restaurant... I could hear her still doing it as I was in the parking lot. I have no idea why she literally mocked me for repeating my name when she asked me to, but I am over it. Her consistent obnoxious and rude behavior is unbearable. The food may be good but the HORRIBLE customer service is disgusting. Congratulations Poki Poki, you lost a loyal customer.

Cold food, dated cheap ambiance, nice staff.My husband lost his restaurant picking privileges. After choosing this place. We wanted to give a new Mexican place a shot and the photos looked pretty okay. We Go, and from the minute we walk into the minute we leave. We are the youngest people there by about 20 years. It was packed with white people and every one of them was over the age of 60. When your Mexican restaurant and not a single Mexican person eats there, theres a problem.The staff was actually very prompt and courteous and got us seated. The booths have impromptu pads being leaned against them like they are waiting for a real shipment of booths to come in. Also some weird mother earth art on the wall is best as I can guess. But nothing that distinctly said a Mexican restaurant. Immediately gave us free chips and two different kinds of salsa. One tasted like watery tomato paste. The other one tasted vaguely like someone had waived tomatillo at it once and its life.You order up front. I dont have a problem with that. Our food arrived within a solid amount of time. But my meat was cold to the touch. As if they had made it this morning (gosh I hope it was that morning and not the night before). My cheese was also barely melted. I got a burrito fresco and took two bites and didnt want more.My kids got a shrimp burrito and a fish taco. There was no spice other than cumin in the shrimp burrito. But considering the age of most of the patrons, Im pretty sure that was on purpose. My other childs fish taco had the batter slide right off of it but it was perfectly fine otherwise.My husband and I were glad that we only had a few bites of our food. We felt queasy the rest of the night and kept chugging Gatorade and burping suspiciously. It would have been a lot worse if we would have actually had more than a few bites of our food.At least with Taco Bell I would have gotten some hot meat and some packets of spice along with my indigestion. I get to pick next time, sorry honey.

This was my first time placing an order online. Good thing I opted for leaving a tip.My order said that it was going to be ready in 30 min and it had my phone number and the page said it will notify for updates about the oreder.I went 10 before my order was going to be ready at. I pulled through the drive tru and there was 2 cars in front of me. The one in front of me had his car turned off which I called to confirm they were using the drive tru. They said yes so I waited 10 min on the drive tru.As I pulled to the window. You see all this man preparing with no gloves what so ever. Mind you I work at a restaurang where everone that handle foods have gloves at all time.The person to ask me for my name order was bad. He asked my name and then went to the counter to help another cutomer. Mind you I was there and why would he help if he was gonna keep me waiting. Took him another 5 minutes to finally give me my order. He handed me a tiny bag with a small bowl. I was shocked at the little amount the serve for the price they charge. I then touch the broth and it was lukewarm. I told him why is not hot. He then gets someone else thats rude and says that is being sitting there for a while. I was in disbelief. I did mention to him what his webapage said and that I didnt get no notification that it was ready.He rudely said that they dont do that and that they can warm it up for me. I am never coming back to this place. Worst service ever and take long and just ignore you

I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, but this experience was particularly disappointing.I visited this Mikko Sushi restaurant for a Fathers Day lunch with my family of four. The place is clean and well-lit, with plenty of staff, including many young employees, under the supervision of two owners/managers. They had pretty good reviews on Yelp and other review sites. We wanted to give it a try.The food was delicious, but the service fell short. The sushi/sashimi/cut-rolls/hand-rolls ordering sheet was confusing. Even their server admitted it. We did our best to fill it out and confirmed our order with a new server, who frequently had to ask others for answers. (That should have been a warning sign)The server read our order back, and my wife confirmed she wanted two orders of soft shell crab hand rolls. The server even re-confirmed it verbally. However, 15 minutes later, we received cut rolls instead. When I informed another server (as ours had left), he removed the incorrect order from our table. Shortly after, he returned and informed us we had to keep the cut rolls because thats what the order sheet indicated. I explained that the previous server must have marked it incorrectly, but he still placed the unwanted dish back on our table.Frustrated, I asked to speak with the manager. One of the owners approached us with a confrontational attitude. She offered to refund one of the orders, blaming us for the mistake. I reiterated that the order sheet was confusing and the server had verbally confirmed our order. Despite this, she insisted on their policy that you get what you ordered.I explained that it was our first visit, it was Fathers Day, and we had relied on the servers verbal confirmation. The manager, clearly annoyed, said, I dont want to argue with you. I then asked if she could make an exception to ensure a positive experience on Fathers Day, emphasizing that I was willing to spend more money as long as the orders were correct. I even asked if she wanted to review the tapes/security cameras to see what was going on previously when we ordered from the departed server.Reluctantly, she removed the incorrect plates and agreed to bring the correct hand rolls, stating it was an exception. She restated that “I don't want to argue with you.” Eventually, our hand rolls arrived, but no one apologized for the inconvenience. Not a single sorry for the mishap and faux pas. I left right after finishing the meal with my family.The focus seemed to be on turning tables and closing tickets, rather than providing good to great customer service. While the food was good, the poor service left a lasting negative impression. I feel ownership and management ought to attend hospitality management and customer service training. Perhaps customer loyalty and brand building is not of importance?I would have given them four stars, but this experience deserves a lower rating. As Maya Angelou said, “Ive learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” This place made me feel like defecation hitting the oscillator on a special day for Dads.I might consider takeout in the future, but this visit left a bad taste in my mouth.

Used to be great before COVID, until they got rid of the omelette line with Adrian (which was the best part) and the make-your-own-smoothie bar. None of the workers there speak English; I dont mean they speak it as a second language, they dont know the words for knife or cup and will just respond in Spanish, which makes it really hard to communicate if something runs out. They have huge, elaborate, in-your-face displays for Chinese New Year and Pride Month, okay great, but nothing for Memorial Day. Disappointing and has gone almost more downhill than SF, needs new management.

Ive been to Rays a couple of times to hang out with a group of friends. The first time I was here, I ordered a burrito, and the second time I ordered carnitas tacos. Overall, I think I prefer the tacos, as they had a good balance of meat to wrap to sauce, but the burrito was just a touch on the oily side. I do still recommend the burritos; theyre quite filling and half of one can be saved for a subsequent meal.I always like getting tea here, because they have really nicd chamomile tea which really hits the spot on cold nights. As a plus, its close to a lot of graduate housing, has a lively atmosphere, and a diverse selection of cuisines to choose from (if that is a good or a bad thing, I cannot tell you). Also, the service is usually fairly quick and the staff are nice and efficient.A minus for this place is the pricing. I feel it could be more affordable, but I guess the restaurant has to match the cost of living in this area. Another thing is the lack of vegetarian options, particularly for tacos, which becomes annoying for vegetarian students on Taco Tuesday (its a special they run with discounted tacos).
