We have had the distinct delight of frequenting Au Lac on multiple occasions, and the experience has always been marked by an unwavering consistency in both food quality and service. Discovering a dining destination that meets the trifecta of cleanliness, health-consciousness, and delectable flavors is no easy task.If you find yourself navigating dietary paths such as veganism or gluten-free, or if youre simply inclined towards conscious consumption, often the challenge lies in procuring organic produce and preparing it at home. In my personal experience, the results have typically been satisfactory but not exceptionally tantalizing. This is where Au Lac steps in and transforms the narrative. It offers a culinary journey that is centered around health and wellness, while not compromising an iota on taste. It is a refreshing reassurance that conscious eating can be a delight to the palate, taking the experience of healthy dining from merely ok to remarkably exquisite.Every dish at Au Lac, from their wholesome soups and appetizers to their main courses and even desserts, brims with unparalleled flavor and imparts a feel-good sensation with every bite. The pricing is reasonable, and the service is commendable, further enhancing the overall dining experience. This establishment caters beautifully to a wide range of dietary preferences and needs, making it an irresistible destination whether youre vegan, gluten-free, or have no dietary restrictions at all. Their menu is a tantalizing ensemble of culinary masterpieces. Notably, their eggplant dishes, an array of vibrant salads, hearty stews, and the visually stunning rainbow dessert, each demand a special mention for their exceptional flavors.Au Lac is not just a restaurant; its a symphony of healthy and delicious cuisine that never fails to impress. No matter your dietary preferences, it stands out as a must-try culinary destination. It elevates conscious dining to a new level, demonstrating that healthy food can indeed be incredibly palatable and enjoyable.

The service was poorly expressed upon people struggling with mental illness, homelessness, and poverty. Im a Legal Nurse Investigator providing an eye opening of business poor education on morals, ethical code, state of equality, and diversity.Today the favoritism behavior and presumptuous suspicion from staff against my demeanor reflected that of categorized as homeless (unable to pay/unwanted guest) the outstanding lack of reprimanding from franchise or corporate chainstores regarding training & orientation to staff on:- Mental Health/Co-occurring Disorders Education- Diversity and Culture Sensitivity- Xenocentrism vs. Ethnocentrism- and the Poor Disposition of Professionalism displayed to selected guests- Inability to provide effort on Business Productivity and Ethics- Unhealthy Food Preparation & Presentation- and Disregard for Customer Safety and Preservation of Dignity- Establishment Staff Covert Harassment against me without valuable evidence to convict upon societal judgment as a:- homeless man- as a so-called thief- portrayed as an assailant due to having monotone face, no aggressive tone, look, presentation, or association subjected aggressor.- Publicly Shaming Me upon arriving guests and current guests.- Social Shaming and Antagonizing an individual diagnosed with Mental Illness is the same as a Bully Harassing A Disabled Child.Basically showing favoritism to anyone that is not a tall male, with dark skin, quiet, and that payed for his meal and is not filled with gluttony and greed like her other unlawful guests that never paid a cent. And their windows are infested with flies. Will not ever come here again unless I see training by NAMI, SAMHSA, BHPD, etc.

Bao N Baguette
16039 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
I have eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants around Orange County and I must admit that this is at the top of the list. First off, the food is sensational! I would think that it was prepared by a Michelin star chef! Everything is cooked to perfection and I would definitely recommend trying there bean buns, milk tea, coffee, and definitely the banh mi! I would even have to say that they taste better than the food in Vietnam! Next off, I would like to commemorate them on their great service! Stepping into the door, I was greeted by many friendly smiles from the wonderful employees. In addition, the restaurant itself is very clean and organized that I didn't even see one piece of trash. There are many tables and chairs where you can sit and you feel right at home when you arrive. Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area and I am willing to commute all the way from Huntington Beach to Bao and Baguette everyday just to enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere. If you are in the area, this is the best place to go by far!

Pho Nic
17860 Newhope St # 106, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
First visit and was happy, at first, the Pho was great. BUT, to me it is not only about the food, it is also about the services and most importantly the sanitation. Overall, is clean in the front, not sure about the back. However, a major problem for me was how the waiters/waitresses handled our food. They wear gloves, but I think for their own protection, NOT much for the customers. We noticed the waiter/waitress wore the same gloves the entire time we were dining in, and the worst was that they picked up things dropped on the floors, gloves touched the floors, and then went right back to carry our food bowl/plate with that same dirty gloves! I hope the owner(s) see this feedback and retrain their servers how to always keep their hands/or gloves sanitary by either washing hands or changing gloves immediately after touching anything dirty like cleaning rags or picking up things from the floor, before touching the customers bowls of food.Until I know they do this, I can not return because I dont want to get sick. I hope everyone at the restaurant takes this matter seriously for the sake of public health. Thank you.

The Vox Kitchen
16161 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Vox in Fountain Valley is a must-try and will soon be a new favorite. It is described as an Asian Fusion restaurant and has a menu that will intrigue and surprise you. This is my third visit here, and everything I have tried is delightful and flavorful! Come hungry because portions are generous. Reservations are recommended, as the word is getting out and Vox can be very busy or may not have tables if you walk-in; but definitely worth thw effort!

Gem Dining

Best Asian fusion restaurant in OC. Enough said. Try the laksa risotto, mushroom and wagyu, seared scallops and octopus appetizer. The sea bass was wonderful but maybe avoid the clams. I actually didn’t think the steak was all that flavorful. I like a more smoky flavor and not every restaurant smokes their meat enough.

BOK Kitchen
18912 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
I am so glad I came here to try before it gone viral and hard to get a table. I had a great experience at BOK Kitchen, a new restaurant in Fountain Valley that serves modern Vietnamese cuisine. The owner, Chef Thanh Nguyen, came from Philadelphia to introduce her ways of cooking and to elevate the culture. She has a lot of passion and knowledge about food, which shows in her dishes. The food was very delicious and fresh. I ordered the beef carpaccio, which was thinly sliced red meat with a variety of toppings, such as chopped green herbs, pine nuts, and fried garlic. It was served on a light blue plate with a white rim, which made it look very elegant and appetizing. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the toppings added some crunch and aroma. It was a perfect starter for the meal. For the main course, I had the wok-fired tenderloin, which was cubed filet mignon with cracked black pepper, beets puree, lime dressed watercress, simple roasted asparagus, and jasmine rice. It was a hearty and satisfying dish, with the beef cooked to perfection and the vegetables adding some freshness and color. The beets puree was smooth and sweet, and the lime dressing gave a nice tang to the salad. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, and complemented the beef well.I also tried the short rib ragu, which was prime grade short rib with buttered polenta, stir-fried watercress, roasted tomatoes, and rustic potatoes. It was a rich and decadent dish, with the short rib falling apart in my mouth and the polenta creamy and buttery. The watercress added some bitterness and crunch, while the tomatoes added some acidity and sweetness. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was a dish that made me feel cozy and happy.I also had the Hanoi sampler, which was a traditional Vietnamese dish with tofu, pork, pork pattie, vermicelli, Vietnamese herbs, kumquat, fermented shrimp sauce, and blood sausage (optional). It was a fun and interactive dish, where I could wrap the ingredients in lettuce leaves and dip them in the sauce. The tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the pork was tender and juicy, the pork pattie was savory and aromatic, the vermicelli was light and springy, the herbs were fresh and fragrant, the kumquat was sour and sweet, the shrimp sauce was pungent and salty, and the blood sausage was rich and earthy. It was a dish that showcased the diversity and complexity of Vietnamese flavors. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and cozy. It had an open kitchen concept, so I could see the chef and her staff working hard to prepare the food. The decor was modern and chic, with some traditional Vietnamese elements. The service was friendly and attentive, and they made sure I had everything I needed.I would definitely recommend BOK Kitchen to anyone who loves Vietnamese food or wants to try something new and different. It is a gem in Fountain Valley that deserves more recognition and support. I cant wait to go back and try more dishes from their menu.

Ayres Hotel Fountain Valley

Stayed here for 2 night when my son was getting married. Room was very clean. Huge bathtub/shower, which was so nice to have room for shampoo bottles, soap, razor, etc.... Nice sink and bar area. I loved having a couch and table. The bed was a little hard, but we can never have the bed we have at home when we travel. All of the employees we talked too were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning had the usual things, but the eggs were really good, so were the potatoes. Nice selection of teas too. We ate at the Spoons restaurant the night before (same place where the breakfast is) it isnt real large but the food and service were great! I asked if they had Sangria and the server said no but that she could make me one. It was delicious! I believe her name was Paula. Housekeeping was great. The 4 girls for the wedding got ready in a room there and it got pretty messy as you can imagine. The staff had it all cleaned before the bride and groom arrived back that night. It was a great stay there and I will definitely stay at an Ayres Hotel again.

Glee Donuts & Burgers
9475 Heil Ave A, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Worst experience in California.Ordered from Amazon restaurants. I was excited by all the good reviews. I ordered 6 pc wings, maple bacon *BAR* and an avocado and bacon double cheeseburger. My order total was over $30, but I had a coupon for $13 off, so I figured id try it with all the good reviews.First of all, Amazon was late - so all my food arrived cold. As you can see, I had to reheat my wings. The burger had a spoonful of avocado on it and the bacon was poor quality. Like the pre-cooked microwaveable strips you get in the store. The burger itself reminded me of school cafeteria burgers - the frozen ones that you can get 10 for a couple bucks. Not 100% beef by any means. I ate half of it and threw the rest away.My maple bacon bar - which was $2.75 btw - had the same crappy bacon which I discarded, and if you look at the picture - its not even a bar. Its a doughnut. Why the hell would I pay $3 for a doughnut when I could get 6 for $5? Total rip-off and misleading. I took one bite into the doughnut and it wasnt even fully cooked. It was super doughy and gross. How do you mess up a donut?Im eating the wings now and there is tons of breading and theyre super greasy. Again, cafeteria style. For the price and with Amazons ridiculous $6 delivery - this is just not even close to being worth it. I wouldnt try this again if the meal was free.
