KPB Asian Bistro
233 N Euclid St, Fullerton, CA 92832, United States
What a great place for lunch! Best spot for Chinese food in Tustin. Their $12.99 lunch menu has a wide variety and each lunch entree comes with option of egg roll or potsticker, egg drop flower or hot and sour soup, and choice of rice, chow mein, or fresh sautéed vegetables. Everything our party of three tried was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and eat through their lunch menu that has over a dozen options. Wait staff was quick and attentive. Food came out fast, hot, fresh, and delicious. You could tell all ingredients are of the best quality. The orange chicken, especially, fried, just crispy, but not dried out inside. The Mongolian beef, lean and yet tender and not over cooked. Service was very attentive, but not hovering. And setting very comfortable and quiet, perfect for a business lunch or get together with friends. Seriously, quality of the food was right up there with PF Chang‘s, but not over the top pricing or crazy expensive décor. Definitely coming back with all my friends and family. You gotta try this place for lunch or dinner or cater your next office event. Great deal for the price.PS looked at lowest rated reviews and noticed they are from way before new ownership took over just six weeks ago, so you can completely discount the one and two star reviews.
Grits Asian Fusion Restaurant & Pub
133 W Chapman Ave #102, Fullerton, CA 92832, United States
My experiences with Grits leave me wanting to give this place a one star, and sometimes, a five star rating.Expect a wait time, and not a short one. 30 minutes or more every time I have gone. Im sure if you arrive and are the first people there in the morning, there will still be a 30 minute wait. This is okay, its a popular place. Except every time I get seated, I look around and see empty tables. Why are they not filling the place? Im not sure the wait staff or kitchen can handle too many orders..Staff is always friendly and helpful, except for the one time. More about that later. They always seem to be rushing around and sweating. They work pretty hard. The wait time to get your food is surprisingly short, once you put in your order. Around 10 minutes. Which makes me wonder, why is there always a long wait time for this place? If the staff is moving quickly, and the food comes quick, people can be in and out faster, right? For the food, its amazing. Its the reason youve heard about this place and are trying it. The fried chicken is crispy and cooked perfectly, the waffles are flavorful and light, and the jalapeño grits, are just amazing. Except for the one time where the food wasnt great. This way many months ago, the girlfriend and I sat down to eat, after a long wait, and ordered right away. I dont remember what she had, but I do remember I ordered the Pork Belly Benny. It sounded good, and I couldnt wait to try it.Food comes, looks amazing. I go to dig in, and its barely warm, kind of cold in spots. Im hungry, and I hate to complain. But I realized the pork just isnt right. Its a bit under cooked. Should have been cooked to medium, but is medium rare to rare. It doesnt taste that good, and is ungodly chewy. Like chewing on a piece for 3 minutes and have to spit it back out. That doesnt seem like its proper pork belly.I decided to complain to the waiter, who was friendly up to this point. And he gets defensive and decides to argue with me that the pork is cooked right and it is not chewy. Huh? How does he know? Who argues with the customer on whether they like something? Isnt the right thing to do is apologize and offer to take it back, or make another dish? But instead, he argued with me that its made the way it should be... He had no other answer or solution for me.
Noodle St.
2323 E Chapman Ave Ste B, Fullerton, CA 92831, United States
Fullerton, California.I havent tried everything on the menu yet... Only bout half the stuff cause its that good. The noodles can be enjoyed during summer yet the soups are soooo nice on these cold winter days/nights.Service: C. Its blah. Mix of either too busy, or cause its an Asian place.Food: I dont know the restaurants official terminology so I just made my own. Hope my descriptions are legible.Pancakes: A. Had the plain jane pancake and the beef version. The plain or green onion pancakes needs the hot sauce. The beef roll is perfect. Its deceptively filling so portion carefully.Chicken Wing: A. Came with five pieces. These were tasty. Its similar to Yoshinoyas wings without so much salty sauce.Dumpling/Bun/Man Doo: C.Pork bun aka wang man doo was no different than the packaged stuff from any Korean market. The buns were steamed but my experience resembles a microwaved bun.Pork dumpling aka man doo is same as above. Nothing special. Its a good filler.Fried Dumpling is the better option. If you prefer to have dumpling/bun with soup/noodles then I would go with the fried dumpling option.Beef/Chicken Soup w/ Standard and Fat Noodles (had these multiple times): B. The broth is overly salty for me. Adding ice or water to take some of the salty bitterness might be necessary. I learned later to request the less salty veggie broth. The meats have a good kick to them but the noodles in itself is special. All the fresh spinach with the spicy will clear the stuffiest of nostrils resulting to all smiles =)JJa JJang with Fat Noodles: A. I just had too. The fatter or thicker noodles are my preference and Korean spots dont offer this. Kudos to Noodle St for offering.Japanese Pork with Fat Noodle. C. This is not udon/ramyun (ramen). It has similar ingredients, but the broth is much more salty and the fat noodles provide a different experience. If you are a ramyun/udon fan then I wouldnt vie for this option.Veggie Soup. A. This is the first dish I tried and loved it. The veggie broth isnt as salty as the meat broth. The soup had a variety of veggies, but the mushroom flavor overpowers all the other veggies. The veggie soup isnt as filling as the meat based so would highly advise extra noodle or a peripheral dish such as the pancake. Dont quote me but I do not believe the broth is vegan... There was a good amount of meat oil/residue lingering at the top (look at pics).Sichuan Cold Noodles with skinny noodle: B. This reminded me of a korean cold soup called Nang Myun (or similar). This is the chewy noodles so I got it with skinny noodles out of Korean-Food conditioning. The broth was smooth on a warm fall evening without getting cramps in the jaw. The cucumber and spicy kick was refreshing.Location: NW Plaza on Chapman and State College. Behind Starbucks.Parking lot can be a challenge especially during standard meal times. Its easier to enjoy when CSUF is not in session.Decor/Interior: A. There is limited space. Its small and cozy but the decor is well placed and well lit. Its nice, and bright in there with clean windows all around.Overall: A/B. Aside from intangibles such as crowds, etc., Noodle Street provides an enjoyable experience with tasty & various meal options.Happy eatings my friends.
Din Tai Noodle
1034 E Bastanchury Rd, Fullerton, CA 92835, United States
I am such a fan of these little mom and pop Chinese restaurants. It makes me think of my own family and how hard they worked to support everyone. This restaurant is a mom cooking, with her kids who help out (the older one helps take orders and serve, the younger two help bring water and clean the tables). To the reviewer who spoke negatively about this restaurant looking like a daycare and wanting the kids to be out of sight, shame on you for shaming a mom running a restaurant; this is what it's like for people who have to grind to give their kids the best they can.Having said that, we happened on this place when the Italian restaurant next door was randomly closed. I am so glad it was, because this food was GREAT.The menu isn't huge, but we ordered a lot and everything was really good - xiao long bao, pork and shrimp dumplings, wonton noodle soup, beef rolls and pan fried pork buns. Of course this ain't DTF but this was really solid Chinese food, and it's perfect for a rainy day. We'll definitely make this a regular place in our rotation!
Garden Bistro
1390 Fullerton Rd #101, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Very nice clean restaurant by Garden Cafe chain. This is a Asian-Italian fusion restaurant serves mixture of pasta, pizza, stake, noodle, and rice dishes. Food is better than Garden cafe with slightly higher price and tend to be a bit heavy.
Pho Amie
737 N Placentia Ave, Fullerton, CA 92831, United States
This place is 10/10, a must try in the Fullerton-Brea area!!May be some of the best pho in Orange County.Atmosphere: this place is very clean, adorable and modern. As other reviewers said, the music is very nice; they play guitar covers of modern pop songs. It is definitely a hole in the wall (the kind where you discover before it becomes famous).Service: Our waiter (Calvin) was very friendly and knew the answers to our questions right away. He even offered recommendations when he saw my partner debating. We decided to share the house pho and special vermicelli and our waiter brought out extra dishes so we could share easier.Food: we ordered 3 dishes (fresh rolls aka pork spring rolls, house pho, and special vermicelli). The fresh rolls were quite tasty, but I would have preferred a bit more vermicelli noodles to balance out the leafy greens. We requested the shrimp be removed from the vermicelli and they adjusted to give us more egg roll and pork. The perfectly crispy egg rolls were super tasty and slightly different from the typical egg roll... they also serve their fish sauce different (its less fishy and more spice/garlicky). The meat was very thin and tinder with a good amount of smoky char. The vermicelli was also perfectly cooked. The pho was the star of the show. The broth was so satisfying. They had just the right amount of saltiness and the meat and noodles were perfectly cooked. We also ordered a Thai tea. It was much bigger than expected. Theirs is on the sweeter side, but not as sweet as many boba places. The sweetness matches very well with the saltiness of the pho.Recently, I took my family here from NorCal. They absolutely loved it and even ordered food for the next day!

What a gem that Downtown Fullerton now has! I can't believe it's only their soft opening phase and they already have lines going out the door! I recently found out from my friends that a new tea shop opened up right next to Chicana Vegana in Downtown Fullerton and I always dreamed of the day DTF would get a high quality tea shop. They pride themselves in using and sourcing fresh ingredients with their syrups made in house and they're very big on using alkaline water for their drinks. You can literally justify your daily boba/tea cravings by saying you're getting nutrients from your drink order! I also noticed that the owners of the establishment really try their best to get to know everyone that orders. I was amazed at Sam's (one of the owners) ability to remember the customer's drink orders even though they're always super busy. I love that they enjoy getting to know their customers and building that repertoire with them. I'm definitely looking forward to my future visits and to trying out more drinks and their ice cream!|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Cross Streets are E. Commonwealth Ave. and S. I've had my fair share of blueberry matcha drinks from a lot of neighboring spots and the wild blueberry just hits differently. The flavor explosion from the wild blueberry mixed with the ceremonial grade matcha makes it such a smooth concoction!Peach Yogurt with Mango Crystal Boba ($6.75) - Made with organic yogurt (similar to Yakult)? Oh yes please! I love peach and not many spots offer peach yogurt so it was a no brainer for me to order this. Sweetness level was perfect.Dragon-Passionfruit Fruikaline Drink ($6.00) - Recommended to me by a friend! This was super refreshing and I liked how it wasn't overly sweet. You can really taste the puree and that they use real fruit for their drinks. I got mine with Cherry Blossom crystal boba and that was the cherry on top!Strawberry Fruikaline Drink ($6.00) - Another non-caffeinated drink that I tried off the fruikaline section of the menu. I loved the clear and fresh taste of strawberry. I was pretty dehydrated that day and this definitely helped me freshen up as I waited for my other tea drinks!
Omeli Kitchen

Delicious asian fusion restaurant with lots of options to choose from. lots of drink options too! the lomo saltado was my favorite. the beef was super tender and the fries were extra crispy and crunchy! The wontons were super crispy too and tasted like deep fried siu mai. All the dishes were we ordered had very good flavor and Ill definitely be back to try more of the other dishes. The service was good too and the inside decor was very aesthetic great for taking pictures.
All About Pho
100 S Harbor Blvd Suite B, Fullerton, CA 92832, United States
I'm so happy that Fullerton has a great premium Pho spot in the Downtown area. It was previously occupied by Cha2o and has been closed for construction for months! I was driving by one day and saw that they had a “Now Open” sign. Not really knowing what to expect other than knowing that it was a pho spot, I came in with minimal expectations. As soon as I walked in, I was very surprised with the interior and the open kitchen layout. I was told by the servers that every piece of furniture including the plates/bowls were imported from Vietnam. At the front, they even have a contactless pickup where you enter a code and the box that holds your order will open up. Their pho offerings are definitely on the premium side but I believe the pricing and value is more than fair as the portions are very generous. Their broth is fantastic, and I believe they spend 48 hours making the broth. Usually I get very thirsty after consuming a bowl of pho due to the saltiness, but it was not the case here. They're also one of the few places here that offer an option of thin or thick noodles for their pho. I've been here twice so far and I've always had a pleasant dining experience. I definitely want to come back and try their other appetizers and pho when I get the chance.Oh by the way, did I mention that they have cool robo servers and that they have a mouth wash station next to the restroom sinks? I went with the next appetizer I had in mind which was the roasted bone marrow. I've had a couple of bone marrow dishes at other vietnamese fusion places before and while it's very tasty, it usually comes at a ridiculous price point. Therefore, I was honestly surprised that we got (2) large bone marrows that had a lot of fillings! For once, I actually had enough bone marrow to scrape off for all the bread slices. The provided bread is fantastic and toasted to crispy perfection. Definitely a decadent and rich appetizer before devouring your pho.Pho Tai Wagyu ($19.00) - Feeling a bit fancy so decided to go with this option with the choice of thick noodles. You have the choice of having the meat rare, medium or well done. I went with the medium option as I don't like it when my meat is too well done. I figured it would still cook a little while it sits in the broth. The wagyu was extremely tender and the amount of meat given was great! I was low key afraid I was only going to get a couple of pieces.Pho Le Xua ($19.00) - If you can't decide which meats you want, I highly recommend going with this option. I went with the choice of thin noodles. Like I mentioned, they are extremely generous with their meats and it was honestly hard to pick a favorite meat. I think I'm probably never going to deviate from this bowl. The meat off the bone slid off super easy.Matcha Coconut ($6.00) - loved the combination of both flavors and how it wasn't overly sweet. If you need something refreshing with a kick of caffeine, this is for you.Herbal Tea ($4.00) - This definitely cooled me down from the summer heat. Love the cup that it comes with. It's slightly sweetened.Salted Lemonade Soda ($5.00) - I was intrigued by the thought of a salty lemonade so I decided to try it out. Super refreshing and light. I liked how the salty flavor didn't overpower the lemonade.
