I was absolutely blown away by this place. Was in town for a week and came back twice. I mean, seriously ... The green curry was absolutely the finest I have had in my entire life. I dont understand how food can be this delicious!Being a vegetarian, I was thrilled that the entire menu was an option for me, although I kept thinking they were going to come out and say that they somehow gave us real chicken because I have never had soy chicken taste THAT MUCH like real chicken.Frankly, it was so good that it makes me want to move to Sherman Oaks JUST to have this as an option every day. Its seriously that good.I keep seeing people on here mention the price. Im not rich, but I dont consider 13$ for a plate to be unreasonable ESPECIALLY when it tastes like the food of the Gods.Service was pretty friendly too. The first time I went, there was a small problem with our order (I didnt get the soy chicken and my friend asked for quinoi and got rice), but they were very diligent in fixing it. Mistakes happen and Im not going to knock off a star over it.Phenomenal place. HIGHLY recommended (if you couldnt already tell)

I think Ive had enough Chinese food in my life but my wife and I thought the food was average at best, but perhaps your experience may vary depending on the dish. I ordered a take out on Christmas day from a recommendation by my friend who really loves this place. Perhaps because it was on Christmas, they were very busy and food wasnt ready for pickup and I waited about 20 min longer, which was fine. While waiting, Ive seen many people go in and out and there was a DoorDash driver who came to pickup food, but the restaurant workers kept saying they closed orders from DoorDash so they dont have any orders. But the delivery lady kept showing on her phone and they were all clueless and helpless. One suggestion is to only open one food fulfillment service at a time. Because they do multiple such as ChowNow, GrubHub, etc and they close orders based on busyness, it makes customers try multiple options and can go through issues like that one customers delivery order. But according to the restaurant staff, apparently people order for days in advance!About the food, the fried noodle dish I got had a lot of hope from me, but the noodle wasnt tasty compared to many others Ive had. Dim sum dishes tasted overpowered by the soy sauce flavor and my wife longed for ones from Hong Kong. The rice dish was good. In all, we spent a little under $50 for three dishes from lunch menu, close to an hour spent on driving and waiting, etc. Perhaps I shouldve tried some of the common dishes like orange chicken or kung pao chicken or something, but its great that they serve so many kinds of dishes for all to enjoy. YMMV, Ill just have to try again next time!

After a couple of hours doing laundry we decided to give this place a try for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in everything looked really clean and welcoming. Young lady behind the counter was very kind and polite I think she knew I had never been here before. We ordered a pad thai another beef noodle plate some fried banana and the mango rice pudding. We really enjoyed the food the meat was cooked well the seasoning was awesome. We will definitely be coming here again Id recommend this place for anyone who is craving some Thai food. Will be trying different plates next time we go but so far nothing disappointed. My son is a very picky eater and even if he was down to try the noodles and liked them. The mango rice pudding was a big hit but Id recommend chillin it in the fridge before eating it.

I never write reviews, but Malama Pono was so exceptional that I felt compelled to rave. Every aspect of this restaurant was immaculate. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming right from the start, and everything only got better from there. The ambiance was dark but warm, quiet but lively; I cant think of a more comfortable atmosphere. The service was extraordinary. Every server was kind, attentive, and professional. What really blew me away was how perfectly they timed everything. In our party of 4, two people shared the tasting menu for 2 (5 courses) while the other two people had a starter and entree each; something I have to imagine is difficult to coordinate, yet every dish came out precisely when it was meant to. No one ever felt like they were rushed or needed to slow down. The service was just paced absolutely flawlessly. The food is what really blew me away. For my palate, this was far from my comfort zone. Almost everything I ate was for the first time, and Im worried they set the bar impossibly high. Every dish was just divine. The plating was beautiful and inviting, the flavors were outstanding, and everything was cooked to perfection. You could taste the passion that went into every plate. This place is an absolute 10/10. These people care deeply about their establishment, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. My one complaint is that I live 2686 miles from what was likely the best restaurant I have ever been to.

Man, I really want to like this place. It has great reviews, a cool decor, attractive LOOKING food, and it's a block away from my house. An evolved burger place a stone's throw away from home seems like the sort of eatery I'd be a regular at. I wish this could be the place.I came with my girlfriend for dinner, we ordered two classic burgers with everything on it, one order of regular fries, and an 8pc. order of hot wings. The total was $40 and change. I have no problem paying a little extra but if you're going to charge 11.99 (really ~14 after tax) for the most basic burger on your menu it should be a little better than good, it should be great. What we got was, and I say this with all honesty and respect, just okay. Firstly the burgers came without cheese, I get that some would say that if I want cheese I should ask for it, but it compounded the disappointment to pay so much for a burger that didn't even include cheese, and I feel like if you aren't going to include it outright you should certainly ask. I can't speak to it because I didn't have it but I would not be surprised to find that cheese is substantially extra. The rest of the burger was relatively small, relatively tasty, and overall as I've said before, okay. It was very attractive as seen in the restaurant's photos but the underwhelming size and flavor, coupled with the high price leaves it seeming... performative. Next were the wings, they are 8.95 for 8 pieces or 15.95 for 16 and they come in a selection of “Hot or Not.” I ordered hot. What I received was in the simplest terms, not hot wings. They're tiny, sesame-asian flavored wings with some spiciness but a LOT of sesame seeds and green onions. They're sweet and tangy, and over all not terrible but if you're expecting either bbq wings or hot wings save your money because that isn't what you're going to get. The fries, I can honestly say are pretty good. No complaints, they're thick and battered and have a satisfying crunch to them and the white sauce they come with is genuinely delectable. Keep in mind though that if you're interested in ordering a classic burger-fries-drink combo you're going to pay well over twenty dollars. This was my second time back and my first experience was similar, but as I said before, I really wanted to like this place. I don't think I'll be coming back, especially considering the great quality of more affordable places to eat that I DO regularly visit in the immediate area. Sorry guys, if I had one suggestion I'd say lower the price. The food overall isn't bad but the prices hold a magnifying glass over every fault and makes the small wins hard to celebrate without feeling a bit taken away from. Three stars, really two and a half.
Anajak Thai Cuisine

Oy, where do we begin. We were so excited to dine here. We specifically flew across the country from nyc for a dining experience at Anajak. We were a party of 2, arriving at 5:30p to get on line for Thai Taco Tuesday, starting at 6p. It didn't take long to be seated. We were seated outside at a shared table. It started drizzling when we sat. When our apps hit our table, it started to really rain. Anajak did not put up umbrellas or offer anything to help mitigate the rain. For the price range of our dinner, we expected a little more effort and consideration of the guest experience.Regardless of the rain, we were still stoked to try the food.We started with the tostadas, the kanpachi ($17 per) and the chutoro + uni ($29 per). It was beautifully plated and presented. The quality of the raw fish was very good, but its freshness was drowned out by an overpowering cloying sauce. The sauce was all you could taste. We also got the striped bass fish tacos ($18 for 2), which were not only underseasoned but also underwhelming. Texturally everything was very soft, from tortilla to the fillet, even though it looked like there was a good sear on it.We were so excited for the thai fried chicken ($34). It looked so good in photos and in reviews, but we were ultimately disappointed. It had a good crunch, but the meat itself needed a lot more salt. Inside the crunchy exterior, was texturally dry meat.We finished with the Dungeness crab fried rice ($28), which was sadly kind of mushy. Similar to the fish taco, everything was uniformly soft. We were not even sure if this really counted as fried rice, as it seemed to lack… the fried aspect. We spent $270 after tax and tip for 2 people. We did not feel that the experience matched the price, especially given the quality of the food and service. We are both industry folks so we understand that it might have just been an off day, but it was nevertheless super disappointing to plan a whole trip across the country for a honestly mediocre experience. We ended up canceling our second dinner reservation at Anajak later in the week following our experience at TTT.I think the tipping point was spending $270 to dine in full rain, having to ask multiple servers for another plate when our current one got too wet to put food on. We werent sure why guests werent moved inside, as there were empty seats inside. We thought it was first come first serve so we werent sure what the empty tables inside were held for. Regardless I think we would have forgiven the rain (as we understand it doesnt rain often here), had the food been really good. Our final bill didnt include our bottle of wine ($80), and we had to point that out to our server. We thoroughly enjoyed our bottle and our somm was very helpful, so we wanted that to reflect in our bill.We wish our experience was not what it was and that Anajak had stayed as a figment in our imaginations.

Take out very disappointing after an amazing in dining experience a year ago for the person I take care of her 92nd birthday the server was excellent we had a party of 10 the food was on point I believe we had a bottle or two of wine. The server was extremely attentive Im sure our bill was hundreds of dollars in his tip was generous. We are now in a time where takeout is everything. I drove to pick up the food I ordered it over the phone so there were no mistakes and thats where the problems began the young lady who answered the phone knew nothing about the menu or pricing. I could not find any pricing on the online menu so I had to ask about absolutely everything she became very frustrated after putting me on hold several times or calling back to whoever could answer instead of the appropriate move of management taking over the call they finally did after I ordered 6 things I started the call by telling the person I was ordering at least eight things and I had a lot of questions so there was just no excuse here. Im also Ada I asked about parking because I didnt want to walk across the whole Mall I was never given the correct answer to my question it was more of a blow off but I found the elevator we used when we dined in. Only problem was that elevator was not in service so I park near the clothes valet and walked across the mall because they didnt do curbside service unless you order through the app. My order was ready I had to actually ask for an itemized receipt as I was only given a copy of my credit card receipt I also had to ask for extra utensils and chopsticks with all the food we ordered only four sets of utensils were included at the time. Someone should have simply asked how many I need. I drove right home and we open the food nothing tasted like it should I was absolutely floored this is the second time I took take out and the second time the food didnt travel well. This will be the last time I take out from pfchangs. I have a lot of patience in these trying times but I do not have patience for all of this they were not even that busy there was no reason I could see for myself as a customer to be treated the way I was treated and the etiquette followed and such an unprofessional manner. The only one that was nice actually was the same server from RN dining experience hes always cheerful always helpful hes the one that got me my receipt when I requested it didnt bat an eye. I know hes been there a long time I hope they know and appreciate him.
Lets Pho

I saw this new restaurant next to Short Stop mini market. It looked very clean, organized with a family owned restaurant environment. That was five years ago.The reason Im changing my review from 5 star to 2 star is because theres little to no vegetables in the Chicken Pho.Also, I felt uncomfortable in the restaurant ordering food to go with a young women peeping around pointing her cellphone lens at me many times above and behind the glass refrigerator. Like why? There are plenty of security cameras inside and outside.Probably theres a lot on creeps in the neighborhood? Its right next to a liquor store. All of the online pickup from Beyond Menu, Post-mates, Door-dash ... ... are lots pricier than their in store menu. Like $2.50 more each. And they dont have their phone in or dine in menu posted on their web site anymore like other restaurants. Why?On-line ordering with those companies above the prices are high everywhere now. I like the telephone or walk in ordering for pickup or dine-in with the lower prices. One very nice thing is that they do have pitchers of free water with fruit inside and disposable glasses. Thats nice.I dont like when they put the Hoisin and Sriracha sauce with the bean sprouts and herbs. Food workers get the paws all over those packages.Their Pho has gone downhill with lower quality and high orderingonline prices. They need a regular menu on their website with a offline menu. Maybe they should use Chow Now online site with no mark ups?Shame on Lets Pho.
