I had an Amazing delivery experience with WABA Grill. Not only was the online ordering process easy, and quick, but the delivery was pretty much on time (about 30 minutes late). Also, their plates are all very fairly priced Amazing, and HUGE!!! It was 2 FULL meals for me, but for light eaters, could easily be 3. Moving on, I have only ONE complaint, but thats ONLY for GRUBHUT, NOT WABA Grill. They said because they were late by about 30 minutes, that they would include something extra for free. Suffice to say, I didnt receive Anything Extra. So anyways, about WABA Grill, the one Im reviewing. I called to ask for extra (teriyaki?) sauce, as their plates and bowls were Amazingly good, but they were just a bit too dry. The person I spoke with was extremely nice, and very helpful. So what did they do? They didnt send 2-3 packets, or even a handful, but about 25-30 packs of it!!! To me, that was going above and beyond, for sure. Things like that make a Huge impact, to me, and just that will make me remember them over any other teriyaki restaurant. I still have sauce packets left, the flavor is amazing and could be used on any chicken, beef, or pork bowls, even. I RARELY ever write reviews, and almost NEVER this long. I hope this helps WABA Grill, even if just a bit, and hope it helps you decide to eat there. You wont be sorry!

So I had planned to take my recently asked fiancé to dinner she has wanted to take me here since we have been together but, has yet to. I thought I would surprise her and take her there for Valentines day. I figured out what time they opened, the previous day, so that I could check to see if I (A). Had to make a reservation or (B). See if they were already booked and if so then I would try another time. So there hours are 11AM–2:30PM, 5–9PM. That day I had called around 10:45am didnt really expect anyone to answer but, I figured hey it couldnt hurt to get a jump on things. Just as a expected no answer and I understood... I mean it was Valentines day and they more than likely had a lot to prep. Fast forward to 11:15am I called again...no answer I thought that was odd so I called again, right after I hung up, just in case someone maybe had there hands full with something. No Answer.I waited a little longer and we fast forward to 1pm, I figured since it was a Tuesday at this point most people would still be working. Not saying I know when their rushes are but, I would just assume. So when I called I should have been able to talk to someone. Again no answer I was getting quite frustrated I just wanted to surprise my fiance and have a nice dinner. Now I know most would have said just find another place if they dont want to pick up their phone. I get it but I was on a mission to surprise her and make her happy. So we jump ahead to the end here, lets just say the other 2 times I had called during business hours had the same result...No Answer. So I figured we get there a little early just in case there was a long wait. I predicted the wait would be anywhere between 30 mins to an hour and she got off work by 6 giving us enough time to get there by 7- 7:15 at the latest. When we had arrived and walked inside the doors it was just as I had expected. About 3 couples and a family of 5 were already waiting, 2 more couples were ahead of us to provide their name and the place did look busy.None the less she was happy and surprised to be there. I looked at her and had told here that I had tried calling earlier that day. 5 times to be exaxt and was curious why no one had answered the phone. I told her, Before we give her my name just know that it will probably be an hour or so wait she didnt mind. I also told her I also want to try one thing. I pulled out my phone and called their number and placed my phone by my side. I waited for the phone to ring. Once it did I was shocked, annoyed and angry at what happened next. The lady that had been helping the people before us had looked at the phone as it rang looked back at the couple and walked away. I thought to myself are you kidding me!? Has this been happening all day!? Everytime that I called, someone has either heard the phone and ignored it or decided that it wasnt their responsibility to answer it?! No I told myself maybe she was called to do something maybe someone else is coming to get it...so I called again. Due to NO ONE answer it the first time and again NO ONE answered it! Not even someone to just answer and say, One moment we are a little busy can I put you on hold...NOTHING.At this point I was at a loss for words on the situation. I looked at my fiancé, apologized, and told her that we are not eating here. She was just as shocked as I was on what a horrible first impression this place was for me. We left and so did the couple in front of us. I only assume it was because the lady had never come back but, dont know for sure. For me customer service is a very big thing. If the food wasnt up to par, great customer service will usually bring a person back to try the establishment again. Maybe the cook was off that day who knows. When you start off with horrible service like that you will never get people to try the food.I can not bring myself to give this restaurant anything lower than a 2. I can not give them a 1 because I never even got to try their food. Maybe sometime in the future I can see myself going back there but for now not so much.

Lots and lots and lots of options for everyone. My family and I wanted to check it out because we heard there were some good vegan/plant-based options. We went for dessert so we could scope the place out for a future visit, in which we plan to get a meal. We got smoothies (the blueberry, strawberry, strawberry & banana, and Pina colada). We ordered boba with them and my kids and husband and I all loved it! Weve been to several boba places in town and this was one of our faves. But after seeing their menu, we look forward to coming here to eat soon. Its not listed on this menu that I took home with me, but on their board in the restaurant they have a vegan bacon croissant! I totally want to try that!Im not sure if it would be a good place for my kids to dine in though. Its smaller and more intimate inside and Id feel bad if the kids were loud and disturbed the other patrons. But we will definitely order out in the near future.
Pho So 1
2837 Cochran St e, Simi Valley, CA 93065, United States
So glad that the venerable Pho So 1 chain decided to expand to Simi Valley. I have been eating at the location in Reseda since the mid-80s (wow, dont I feel old) as my favorite go to place when I have a craving for the hot and soothing beef rice flat noodle aka pho. Its Vietnamese soul food for me. Everything is on par at the Simi location which is no small feat. Some have observed that the portion might be smaller, which, is probably fine considering the obesity epidemic that is rampant around us. Order the soda ximoi if you have a taste for the tart. It is my one indulgence every time I have pho. Of course, if you are extra hungry, go ahead and add some egg rolls. They are fried to perfection and when wrapped in lettuce along with pickled carrots, daikon, and cucumber, then dipped into the included fish sauce, the fusion and explosion of flavor is an experience that should be on every single persons bucket list. Five star for this location and for the entire chain, they never disappoint.
Urban Taco

Edited Review: The taco fillings that were so awful the last time I reviewed have improved to what they used to be but on this visit we decided to just order one taco each to make sure. We asked for one hot sauce each for our tacos. Small little containers, just barely enough salsa for one taco. When I saw the taco filling was the same as we had previously loved, I went back and ordered 2 more. And asked for another small container of hot sauce for each taco. And was refused. I said I would pay for it. And was refused. I was told I can only have one hot sauce. No matter how many tacos I order! So I didnt purchase 2 more tacos. A taco place that wont let you have hot sauce for your tacos? Are you friggin kidding me!!? I talked to someone in charge after finishing eating my 1st taco & she told me you can only have one hot sauce with a small order. (4 tacos is apparently considered a small order!) But I could buy an extra hot sauce. Didnt bother to ask how much. We wont be back. If I have to beg for a meager amount of salsa at a taco shop, these people need to be in a different business. There are better taco places than this where the salsa is free. Also taking off a star from my last review where I gave 3 stars, since I wasted my time coming over here.OLDER REVIEW: If I had reviewed this place a week ago I would have given 5 stars. But... they have this taco, San Antonio Fluffy taco. Amazing, like something Id make at home. Plain ground beef, with maybe just a hint of seasoning, a little lettuce, a little grated cheese, with the Fluffy part being the way they crisp up the tortilla (it actually IS fluffy). Anyway, these things are so good, we figured we found a new go-to restaurant. So good that we actually drive from Camarillo to Simi to get them. Well, so much for that. Today when we had these tacos they came with meat slushed up with sauce & spice to the point it looked like chilie & tasted like Taco Bell. What a disappointment! We asked if they changed the recipe & were told by the cooks that the meat is made up by their sister restaurant next door, the Blue Fin, & they made a mistake. Which got me thinking, how do you make a mistake like that when its a recipe you invented? And is the taco shop just an afterthought to the main restaurant? The Blue Fin itself has some reviews pointing out its inconsistency in terms of food quality so maybe its just their pattern. Weve only been going here about a month so maybe we just caught them on an upswing. We went 3 or 4 times & had these amazing tacos & on a big screen tv there were relaxing nature scenes. Today we had fluffy Taco Bell & a political news channel on the big screen tv. Inconsistency is how you lose customers. And if it keeps up, you will most certainly have lost us.

We picked up our order due to covid-19. They weren't doing deliveries. They set our food out on a table outside restaurant entrance and went inside and locked their doors and then called us to let us know we could get out of our car to grab our food. It was strange and I think there could have been a better way of doing this. I was not impressed. It wasn't awful but it definitely wasn't that good. I had the fried chicken dumplings and sour & spicy soup and my boyfriend had the chicken dumpling soup. The dumplings I got were soft and they seemed like they were boiled and not fried and crispy on the outside like they are supposed to be. The soups were so hot that we poured them into a bowl and it took 30 minutes to cool down enough to eat. The flavor of the dumplings were bland. I would prefer to get pot stickers at the junkyard (pretty good too) than get them here. I wont be returning for dumplings again. There are much better places to find them.
