Delicious food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Our favorite Asian restaurant!
Ha-La Sushi
115 Alamo Plaza C, Alamo, CA 94507, United States
The atmosphere was nice, but thats all i have thats nice to say about Ha-La.(Used to be called Ha-Ru (which was a real Japanese word) Ha-La is not.) My girlfriend and I ordered, but our food came out at different times.(We pretty much ate separately.) My dinner was delivered first (cold) and had way too much Teriyaki sauce. Our second order was also cold and covered in way too much sauce. Once we were done eating we were stuck waiting for the check and had to call for the server out loud disrupting the other guests. Shortly thereafter both of us had terrible intestinal distress. Ha-La ? more like HA-HA...what a joke.

I have been on the quest for a great pad thai in the NoCal area for some time now. Most of the popular places have failed to live up to the hype and expectations. I came here because my friend and I were hungry and saw it by chance as we were leaving Raleys. Upon entering, it smelled like freshly cooked white rice. An all familiar smell to those who grew up Asian, and often is a good sign of any Asian restaurant. We were greeted by a single women behind the kitchen counter. She took our order and we waited less than 15 minutes for a red thai curry and pad thai. They were the best thai dishes I have had since I left the East coast. The pad thai was beyond flavorful and morphed every single bite. It was complex, deep in various flavor profiles (sweet, sour, savory), and had elements of what I see in amazing cooking- it tastes like someone actually cared about what they were making. This is what thai food would taste like if it was your grandma making it. Homely, humble, and nothing can compare. The red thai curry hit enough sweetness and had layers of flavor. The amount and variety of vegetables used far exceeded my expectations and what Ive seen in literally all of the other restaurants in the surrounding area. Im shocked as to why theyre not booming in business as this is easily one of the best spots in the area.I have found my culinary white whale and write this review for fellow weary foodies who are bored of under sauced, one note, bland, no dimension carrying pad thai and uninspiring red thai curry. Please, take my word on it- you wont regret it.

I try not to blast businesses but I cant sit quite.Tonight, I had dinner with a friend at this restaurant. We witnessed the restaraunt manager, Ken have a verbal altercation with an employee. The employee proceeded to walk off the job. Ken followed her, placed his hands on her, and locked her into the womens restroom. A customer questioned Ken regarding the manner, Ken replied, shut up, this is my restraunt I speak to my employees how I want. Several of the patrons spoke with the employee and are willing to help her get legal help. Employees tried to protect her and a few were also witnessed crying out of fear for her. After speaking to many employees this evening I have discovered they violate many labor laws. They do not receive required breaks or their lunch no matter how long they have worked. They do not receive overtime and are often denied time off even if sick. Minors are serving alcohol and some even consuming it while on the clock. They also do not follow work permit guidelines for Minors provided by schools. The employees I spoke with said they are afraid to speak out because they need the job. EXTREMELY ANNOYED by all of this. The food is good but this is the last time I will leave my money here and Im not staying quiet ?.

We were looking for a new Asian restaurant to try in Murrieta CA and happen to find the Golden Triangle.Although there are many Asian restaurants in the area, Thai & Vietnamese food are just some of our favorite cuisines to eat! Everyone had a smile on their face and were all very kind. The restaurant was very clean! I would consider myself a milk tea fanatic, and I have to say I absolutely love this establishment!Milk Teas Ive tried so far:OG(Similar to a house milk tea) taste like a marshmallow milk teaThai l, a classic orange colored tea with a GOOD amount of sweetness(Not beyond sweet)Coffee, a robust coffee flavor that caters to a undertone of bitters with a smooth finish of coffee flavor that finishes with that family milk tea flavor. (Definitely not that sweet but subtle enough to taste)Tiger, A mix of OG and Thai! Tones down the Thai flavor alot and gives a simple yet enjoyable flavorPrincess, Jasmine Strawberry and Lavender (When I tried it they were out of Jasmine so I had mine with black tea which in my opinion I prefer over Jasmine) Now this tea I tried to get out of my comfort zone so with some doubt as most strawberry drinks taste too sour or too fake. This Milk tea did the exact opposite. This Princess milk tea blew my mind from my expectations and was not too sweet and was the right amount of strawberry in it. Highly recommend for anyone who likes strawberry with more depth and notes of a accenting flavors (Picture is of Princess Milk Tea with one of their purchasable reusable containers that give you a 10% your drink Everytime you bring it in for only $5)Dragon, a mix of Thai and taro. This tea took Thai to a whole new level! The flavor to me tastes like someone added taste of the tropics (more specifically coconut) The merrying of these two flavors made this drink more rich and flavorfull highly recommend if you like Thai tea and coconut flavor(taro in this case)
Pico Los Alamos

We had a dinner party at Pico about a week ago. The venue was very cool, however, everyone in our group was disappointed by the food and service. I will not be going back. I suspect most of the people in our group will not be going back either. The majority of people in our group drove about 45 minutes to get there and it wasnt worth the trip.I ordered the bone-in short rib and my wife had the halibut. The halibut was overcooked and very dry and the portion was small. Everyone in our group who had the halibut had the same experience. My shortrib was remarkably tough and anything but fall-off-the-bone. In fact, I quit eating half-way through my meal because it was too much work, even with a steak knife. Other people in our group had the same experience. Our meals came with small salads to share for the table. Each table had 2 salads to serve 6-8 people. The salads were tasty but scarcely enough for 2-3 people, let alone 6-8.The service was poor too and several people ended up bussing their own dishes or going down to the bar to order drinks due to the lack of service. I suspect the owner(s) overcommitted to having a private party, along with being open to the public, and they just couldnt or wouldnt cater properly to their guests. This strikes me as greedy. The owners should have had the foresight to hire more staff and/or close the restaurant for our private event. Instead, they chose to chase the dollars, which will certainly backfire on them. At this rate, I suspect they will be out of business within the year. Our meals were also really expensive and the tab came out to about $185 per couple, which included a couple of bottles of wine for the table to share. This strikes me as ridiculously high for the quality of food we received and the lack of service. Finally, several days ago, the person who organized the event reached out to the owner and various staff members to tell them about our experience. There was zero acknowledgment, no apology whatsoever and no attempt to make things right. This strikes me as totally unacceptable and unprofessional.
