Khun Dang Thai Restaurant
10134 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Chatsworth, CA 91311, United States
I have had my really good 5-star experience today. I live in the north-west part of the san fernando valley, and yet I have never tried this place. I have lived in Chatsworth for almost 21-22 years. Why have I not eaten here.. its insane!! So my mom just got her glaucoma surgery today and was hungry. OK, all 3 of us were hungry. My brother said we are gonna stop by for some thai food to go. He had ordered already for takeout. I was assuming.. hmm monster thai? Jasmine Thai? but a local restaurant near our old stomping grounds of Chatsworth. Ok, I am always up for some new grub. We got home opened the boxes and wow a burst of flavor just made its way to my nose. I was in heaven. The green curry was very spicy. It was too spicy for my tastes but you could picture a sense of relief from my mom as she enjoyed every teaspoon of curry. Then of course came the minced beef on rice which was also spicy. My mouth was burning, and I could envision flames coming out of my mouth. My mom loved it!!! Next was pad-thai. I love pad thai, but never have I experienced pad-thai like this before. My mom enjoyed it for the first time in a long time, because it wasnt sweet like other places tend to make it. My brother and I also enjoyed it too. I love it also because its not too sweet in flavor, its just right!!! Then if that wasnt enough, there was this bbq beef on rice with sliced tomatoes and cucumber. It was ok, nothing too special. The thing I liked the most out of the lunch boxes was this fried wonton. That was amazing. So, in conclusion.. I would definitely come and bring my friends to eat here. I love these places that operated by small business owners; especially the moms and pops shops. Kudos to this place. Want something spicy or something not spicy at all? Come to Khun Dang!!!! Yummy!!!
Vegan My Thai & Seafood
21714 Devonshire St, Chatsworth, CA 91311, United States
After contemplating on lunch options in Northridge, I decided to go to Chatsworth.I walked in and I was surprised to find the place empty and but decided to order the food regardless.I ordered a vegan lunch special with panang curry and a soup for the option, and a side of thai coffee with almond milk. Note that this restaurant has vegan options, and even the condiments are labeled to identify if its vegan or not. This way, you dont have to worry about fish sauce nor shrimp paste sneaking up on you, (that line was for vegans/vegetarians only).I started with a soup with was hot and spicy. It was wonderful. The Egg roll provided was a crispy, and the filling was on the mushy side, but still really good. Then I dug into the main dish, the panang curry; which was creamy and bold on flavor. Usually, restaurants add a lot of coconut milk to dumb down the flavor, but at My Thai, it was as flavor as one would expect. That was honestly a good surprise. But due to the creaminess from the coconut milk, it did add a slight sweetness which was well companied by the thai chilis soaked in vinegar. The soy chicken option in the panang curry may texturely resemble chicken. As I was raised a vegetarian, this may have been the incorrect choice for me. Goign tofu or all vegetables next time. The thai coffee was on the sweeter side. But I do want to go back to try thier other vegan options. The customer service was great. As I had gone alone, they were hospitable.Im more surprised that this place wasnt packed. But they did mention majority of thier lunch clients just call in to take it to go.
Hikari Sushi Chatsworth
21230 Devonshire St, Chatsworth, CA 91311, United States
The place is great the food really is deserving of their price for the all-you-can-eat serving. If each person can eat 3 orders of rolls then the 47$per person (15%gratuity included) is well worth the $$ that you pay.If your not going to be able to eat at least 3 rolls then just buy individual rolls and then take them home. The rolls are prices around 15$ each and although this is on the expensive side. Their serving is quite large. You can expect feeling full after the 2nd roll if your lightweight and 4 rolls if you have a large capacity. An order of shrimp tempura is only 3 pcs. Priced at 7.99 if your ordering eat all you can then grab as many as you can finish. They charge for leftover I believe its 1$ per roll 2$ for fish (sashimi) and 5$ for half a bowl of rice (yes Im not joking 5$ for rice) although I dont know how big the bowl is because we did not order that. The one that we really enjoyed is the ex boyfriend roll this is shrimp tempura and avocado wrapped in crab meat and topped with tuna.We ordered a few rolls with rice (Philly roll and rainbow roll) the rice is so wet i did not really enjoy that.Ordered a deep fried Philly roll that one was ok. Although it was too greasy for my taste. The miso soup taste was ok but it was more on the watered down taste.Overall be more adventurous and you might like some of the rolls you cant find anywhere else.If you have a large party you can order multiple different rolls and taste each one without getting too full.It was only me and my wife so we ended up just trying 5 types of roll and we already got full.I would have given this review a 5 star except for the fact that when I entered the restroom I though I entered a whole different place. There was some mud stuck in the grout of the tiles and dead insects. Feels like it was cleaned weeks ago. For a high end place I was expecting a cleaner restroom its not only the eating area that people will critic in the place. All you can eat 5/5Ordering take out 3/5 (expensive per roll price)Outside and restroom appeal 2/5I hope management can fix the restroom issue and I will edit the star rating to a 5.
Panda Express

Ordered online a couple times but food is never ready on time which is frustrating to wait for them to get the order ready. They rectified by giving me more food though so Im happyUpdate 2/2/19: placed 2 family feast meals online today and when we got home, noticed the walnut shrimp is only 2/3rd filled. Called and requested for manager, Cecilia she said there should be 24 shrimp. Hang up, counted and there are only 21, called back and Cecilia says they can either give me credit or go back to the store for replacement. It is still raining so we opted for credit.Guys, lesson here is if you order online, have them open the boxes and check everything before leaving. We paid extra $3.75 for the walnut shrimp because its a premium item and got short changed.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
18101 Chatsworth St SUITE A, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Used to go here all the time, love the Thai Basil Shrimp, but after some employee turnover, they suddenly are competing for the we are tirelessly trying to make sure you never step foot in our restaurant again awards. The Thai Basil shrimp or chicken used to be pretty consistent, but then started this pattern of sometimes its good, sometimes its pretty awful, guess it depends on who does the cooking. The third to the last time I came here my friend and I waited for like 15 minutes after we ordered and no food, mind you it takes all of 45 seconds to stir fry this dish. I walked to the counter and said, did you all forget me? The blond haired manager was very nice and apologetic and gave me 2 coupon cards for 2 free meals, but when we got the food, lack of noodles and very oily. The second to last time I came here with one of the coupon cards, and again, like 15 minutes to get the food, lack of noodles and really oily. Today I said to myself, going back with the last coupon, Ill just order something else. So I get in line behind 1, I repeat, one customer who is ordering. I am standing behind this guy for 5 minutes, then I say, excuse me, but could I please order? They have 3 cashiers. The girl at the cash register says, excuse me, Im the cashier today. But the rest of the employees, including the manager are well aware your like waiting forever, but dont seem to care. And you know why they dont care? Because their entire focus at that store is on the post mates and uber eats customers. In all 3 cases theres hardly anybody in the dining room, but they are working away filling orders and putting them in to go plastic bags. So thats their deal: screw the in store customer, if they dont like it they can go somewhere else. So if you go to this store you can count on a guaranteed long wait for not so good food. The entire crew at this store should go to Habit Burger and just watch the show, those people get it when it comes to great customer service experience.
Honshu Sushi

I went in for the first time! And this is the last time! I received a reservation from the menu and when I received the invitation I saw that it was not what I ordered I called the waitress I tried to confuse her that he told me something else completely She said that because I ordered this mistake And she does not change my invitation, her full right not to replace me but why rudely not nice at all !! .. I tried to talk to her and she treated me like Im an idiot! I asked her to call to her manager. She replied that they did not have a manager in the restaurant and I did not own the restaurant. I asked for an account and went and none of the employees did not care. They were just rejected! I do not recommend you if the restaurant does not respect its customers for what the customers will ca to !! And thats what happens when there is no manager in the workers business doing what they want !! My point is if your customer complaint even if he's right or not you need to listen to what they have to say and try to help him and Stan to argue with him!
Panda Express
18080 Chatsworth St #b, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
I like to come to get my food here after work whenever I have no time to prepare; unfortunately, every time I come here, there is this skinny Hispanic man, probably 5'3” to 5'4”, wears a rectangle black-framed eyeglasses and he acts like he is the boss ( he is also sometimes the cook) is EXTREMELY STINGY in serving food. I once heard him instructing the other lady, telling her in Spanish not to put much into the meal she was preparing, so she returned some of the servings. But I noticed he would put a lot of servings to his ethnicity or “his people.” When it comes to other customers, he never smiles, never greets, and always acts irritated. I do not know if it is the franchise policy of this place to be stingy in their food serving because when I go to other Panda, they are generous with their serving, especially when closing time is near.To that Hispanic man, if you have personal issues or are not happy with your job, it is about time to reconsider your other options. To the franchise owner of this Panda Express Chatsworth, Granada Hills, please reeducate and re-evaluate your staff of customer service and serving. This Panda Express is EXTREMELY STINGY IN FOOD PORTION.Hong Kong Express is way better than your serving policy.
Teriyaki Madness
9851 Mason Ave Ste 195, Chatsworth, CA 91311, United States
I actually really enjoyed this place! The staff was super friendly and the selection is great. They have multiple choices from fried rice, noodles, white and brown rice, or simply all veggie.I personally got their orange chicken, by far the best orange chicken I have tasted. Usually I try to compare to panda's, which in my opinion is one of the only good selections they have. Teriyaki madness beats it by a mile! Some people may say the portions for the price isn't there, but the quality is and honestly that alone is worth the price. My wife got the spicy grilled chicken, this has a kick. For you spicy lovers it isn't there, trust me, I love spicy food. It has a very unique flavor that complements the vegetables very well. The inside is rather small so can quickly fill, but if you have the time to eat it fresh and there. Do it, the crunch from the orange chicken is satisfying.I will be trying more options. Very curious on their teriyaki salmon.Worth the money for sure.
Sansai Japanese Grill
9243 Winnetka Ave, Chatsworth, CA 91311, United States
Needless to say, I will never return to this Sansai. I placed an order for the curry chicken plate with rice, miso soup, and a veggie skewer along with an order of potstickers online for takeout through Grubhub. I allowed 30 minutes, per their recommendation. When I arrived at Sansai and went to the pickup counter, the woman looked at me with confusion and irritation when I told her the name on the order. The first red flag.It took her a minute, but she finally went and checked the items waiting for pickup and brought mine over. The receipt looked correct with the right items listed, so I signed and took it to a table. Upon opening the bag, I did not find my order. Instead, it was someone elses steak with salad. None of my items were present. I brought it back to the counter, thinking it was a simple mistake, that they would take this to the rightful owner and bring mine over. Instead, the same woman took the receipt I signed and read the items listed. Again, none of which was in the bag.She finally took it back and, instead of getting my food, took the receipt to the chef and, from what I gathered, asked her to make my plate. I say, from what I gathered, because at no point did anyone tell me what was happening. I then stood at the counter for another minute, being ignored, until I finally asked the woman how long it would take. 10 minutes, she tells me.I am an hourly employee. My lunches are only thirty minutes and, by this time, I had wasted 8 of those precious minutes. I asked her to cancel my order so I could leave. Instead, another employee walks up with an annoyed expression on his face to ask whats going on. I told him I would need my lunch in about 2 minutes, otherwise I didnt have time and would have to leave. He tells me, sure, itll be ready in two minutes, directly contradicting the previous employee. There was no way I could trust anything these two told me, so I left. Luckily, grub hub cancelled my order and refunded my money without issue and without delay. The employees at this Sansai are both incompetent and disorganized, a dangerous combination in this day and age. You may wonder why this review is so long at this point, considering that my order was only $17. But thats an entire hours wages which almost disappeared due to the incompetence of a fake Japanese restaurant.Thankfully, theres a subway right next door.
