RA Sushi Bar Restaurant
13925 City Center Dr, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
This dinner was really quite unsatisfactory experience. I was searching on opentable for this restaurant with a very high score and decided to give it a try even though it looked like a very new Japanese style restaurant. The waitress here came up and introduced herself warmly, and finally gave us a strange smile, and I asked my coworker why her smile was so strange, and my coworker said that hers was a fake smile, that is, but it was a bad fake smile. As we started eating we didnt particularly take it seriously. By the way, the sushi here is moderate, not too bad and not too good. But by the time the sashimi came up it was a bad start, the scallops were cut in a literal mess and the tuna toro was actually frozen, chewing on crushed ice in my mouth. We then called for the fake-smiling waitress, who simply took away the plate of sashimi away without a word, and when it came up again she didnt offer a single word of apology. Luckily this big belly was barely edible, but I could tell that one probably have been warmed up in warm water. But one bad thing is that that meat is over oxidized is no longer pink, but a deep red like raw steak. We complained about the sashimi when we got to the final check, but the fake smiling waitress said shed waive the appetizer edamame for us. I was very confused what went wrong . The sashimi was $35 but why did you waive the $10 edamame for that appetizer? So in the end I had to just deduct most of the service charge to waive my loss. Anyway, I wont be going back to this restaurant in the future, I was really disappointed with the service and the food!
Kiku Sushi Restaurant
3090 Chino Ave D, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Wow, in my 30 years I have never been treated so poorly by a server in my life. The food here was perfect, all the other servers were great. But one server (she gave me manager vibes) was HORRIBLE. There was 4 of us, and we ordered a bunch of sushi on the first round (not our first time, we know how much we can eat) she takes the paper and says no, you ordered too much food. We charge for extra food. We said yeah we know, there is 4 of us and we'll pay if we don't eat it (knowing we could) she walks away, comes back a minute later and asks if my 2 year old is eating too (I'm not paying AYCE for my 2 year old to eat 4 edamame) Food comes and it's great…except they never brought us three of the rolls we ordered. One of the plates of sashimi the rice was so sticky it wouldn't come up off the plate when grabbing the roll so there was some rice on the plate. She warns us she will charge us extra is we leave any more rice. While trying to explain about the rice she takes the plate in the middle of explaining and walks away. One of the rolls brought to us the server said it's name (which was wrong) the roll did not match the description. We try to tell her it's the wrong roll and she ARGUES back and forth that's it's not. We tried to explain it has extra/different ingredients on it. She says “sometimes the chef adds extra stuff” when trying to explain it doesn't have any of the right ingredients and has different stuff she WALKS AWAY mid conversation. She never came back and sent other servers. Seeing as she had mentioned in FOUR different ways we would be charged extra for things I explained to the server we would NOT be paying extra for the wrong roll. I just can not believe the unprofessionalism expressed by that one server. Everyone else was great but because of her I will not be returning to this restaurant.
P.F. Changs
3445 Grand Ave, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
THIS PF CHANGS IS THE WORST!!! DONT GO THERE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE RESERVED SEATING, BECAUSE THEY WILL FORGET IT!!!!! IT ALMOST RUINED MY CAREER!!! I AM GONNA SUE THIS PLACE!!!Ok, so here is story. We came in one day earlier just to make a reservation for a group of important guests/partners that visited from China. We picked PF Changs because we thought we could show them some American cultures as well as Asian restaurants. The receptionist, as well as a couple of waiters helped us picked which seat is more appropriate for 8 people. The next day when we came over, we saw the seats that we reserved yesterday sit with a group of girls seems just started their dinner. We were so confused and asked the receptionist what was going on, guess what they said? They said there was NO SEATS RESERVED!!!!! We were so pissed!!! HOW COULD THEY EVEN DO THAT?!?!?! WE had at least 3 people helped us to make reservation one day earlier, and they still messed it up???!!!?? When our guests arrived, we had to crowed in a table that was not designed for more than 4 people. It was a total nightmare. THIS P.F Changs SUCKS!!!! AVOID IT IF YOU CAN!!!
Happy Together
14720 Pipeline Ave STE B, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
UPDATE 7-22-20It is commendable that during this COVID Hardship, this place still offers high quality good tasting food. Bravo! Now they are offering Dim Sum from 11am - 3 pm. Photos of Dim Sum Menu posted.UPDATE 5-09-2020:#73 Beef Chow Fun has been one of my most favorite dish for 20+ years, I used to drive further down to Rowland Heights for it, HAPPY TOGETHER made it hands down the top choice. They use the best quality filet mignon that is so tender even some big name restaurant can not match, taste is spot-on authentic, big portion. Highly recommended.UPDATE 4-16-20: The House Chow Fun is the best one I had around Chino Hills & Rowland Heights area. I ordered Beef, Chicken and Shrimps in brown sauce, the beef and chicken was very tender, ships are fresh and tasty, highly recommended.UPDATE 3-29-20, Upgrade to 5-Star. RECOMMENDED.Noticeably improvements on this return visit,The House Chow Fun was as delicious as the last visit, the staff came by to check on things were satisfactory, drinks was topped off without asking, the bathroom was clean. Great improvement.ORIGINAL POST 2-26-20: A small Asian Restaurant, service was adequate, but you have to flag down the server, once they put your order down, they dont check back with you. I ordered the House Chow Fun with Chicken, Beef & Shrimp in brown sauce, it was good. Dont use the bathroom unless you REALLY have to, it stinks. Not recommended.
Pho N Mor
3233 Grand Ave # A, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Vegetarian review.I dont eat meat but Im craving for Vietnamese food. This is a good restaurant to go to with families or loved ones who do eat meat. And you still feel blended in.Surprisingly, they have a whole section of vegetarian stuff.I tried the soup noodles twice and they are good. Dont complain too much if you feel the food is all MSGie. From all those years of getting fat from eating out, MSG is unavoidable especially in Asian restaurant.Good for vegan and non vegan date. ??Give it a try!
WaBa Grill

One recommendation for this location would be to answer the phone! I placed an online order for two veggie bowls: one chicken and one steak. I wanted to take out the cabbage from the bowl So I called right after I placed the order, repeatedly, and got no answer each time I called. On the fourth or fifth time I called they finally answered and told me that they cannot take out the cabbage from the bowls since they were already made and the delivery guy would be picking up the food in 2 mins.I'm not upset just annoyed because if they would have answered the first few times that I called they would have made it the way I wanted it.Will be picking up the orders in the future since the app does not make it convenient to get exactly what you want.
Boiling Point
6018, 13089 Peyton Dr, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
They are currently open for take out. I think they recently reopened their patio for limited outdoor dining but they arent allowed to add fire to your pots. All staff members are wearing masks. They have a mobile app where you can earn reward points that can be redeemed for free food and or drinks. If Im in the area, I will call in to place a to go order. If not, Ill order through a food delivery service. They have a variety of set pots to pick from. You get to choose a spiciness level of none, mild, medium, spicy, or extra spicy. You also have a choice of rice or vermicelli. Then you can choose to add on sides for an additional cost. The beef pot is my favorite. I opt for mild spicy. My bf likes medium but sometimes the medium is noticeably more spicy than usual. My favorite add on sides are the fried tofu skin and fish tofu. If you order during lunch, you get a free small green tea or black tea. It comes sweetened and they dont give you the option to adjust the sweetness. I usually order their honey green milk tea and their lychee green tea. When picking up your order, make sure to check if your order is right before leaving! Unfortunately, they tend to mess up on an order here and there. In the past few months, I feel like my drink orders have been messed up almost every other time.
TOMO 7 SUSHI
4200 Chino Hills Pkwy #870, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Food here is ok, not the best but also not the worst. Our issue with this place was with the service we received. We went here last night, Saturday 10/5/2019.The restaurant was full but it appeared they had enough staff working. The waitress we had seemed to be overwhelmed with the amount of people she had to serve. She also seemed to have a hard time understanding our orders and what we were saying to her. My wife had ordered off the regular menu Pork Katsu but the waitress didnt understand this and asked to be shown in the menu the picture of what she wanted (does she not know the menu?). My brother and I had the AYCE sushi. She took our order sheet for the 1st round but was nowhere to be found to pick it up after that. My mom had asked for water several times before actually getting it.Most places come by every once in a while asking if things were ok, I dont recall her doing that with us at all...My biggest gripe with her service though was in how she was placing plates and removing them off the table. We were having dinner with my 1 year old who was sitting in a high chair. Any time she brought in food to the table she made a habit of serving the food DIRECTLY over my sons head. She also took plates away and again went over his head with food. Some of the dishes she took away were stacked and pretty heavy. If she were to drop them they wouldve fallen right on to my sons head, BIIIIIIG NO NO from a restaurant server (most other servers are aware enough to avoid serving/taking plates over a babys head)....From what I could see it appeared that the other servers were picking up some of the slack from the one waitress, they definitely did at least for our table....
Thai Corner
14230 Chino Hills Pkwy #H, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
We decided to visit Thai Corner last Friday after a busy day at work. Upon walking in to the restaurant, we were greeted by the nice staff. We ordered the spicy fish fillet, pad thai and chicken tom yum soup (L). The spicy fish fillet and soup pack a lot of flavor. If you like spicy food, you will definitely love these dishes. The pad thai was on the sweeter side which I like because it balanced with the spicy dishes. Overall I had a good experience at this restaurant. I will be coming back to try the other dishes.
Tokyo Roll and Noodle
2593 Chino Hills Pkwy E, Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Its true when they say you get what you paid for ... sushi is mediocre at best the chef is not really skilled at making rolls and there is simply no balance of flavors ... he makes this monster maki that has so much rice so little filling and the seaweed looks more like a thing than a cover. The fish is cut in whoever direction it pleases him and the spicy items are undedible on how spicy they are. As if this wasnt enough on a busy day expect delas in your food and items not delivered. We made our waiter aware of this and she kindly removed them however not before the chef said we were lying which was extremely unprofessional. If they dont replace the chef I dont see this place lasting much longer other than the fact that their prices are cheaper than the average happy hours.
