Pho Noodle House
1898 Bird St, Oroville, CA 95965, United States
PROS:--Flavorful, well-seasoned food, with a wide variety of condiments provided in every table if you like to customize it differently--Good portion sizes for the prices. Just big enough to feel like you got your moneys worth, but not so big to feel overly stuffed or wasteful when youre finished--Nice ambiance. Nothing fancy, but I found the decorations to be fun and interestingCONS:--No sign indicating a seat-yourself establishment, so it was a little confusing for a first-time customer as no one immediately told us what to do.--Slow and uneven service. We came on a Friday night, so while it was probably a busier night, it wasnt packed. While we got our menus promptly, a couple that was seated after us got their order taken before we did.--We ordered an appetizer, which came WITH my main dish, but my boyfriends dish didnt come until AFTER we finished with the appetizer. I noticed at another table that the main dishes came at different times when one person ordered curry (came first) and the other ordered noodles (came second). The main dishes should come at the same time for every at the table, so that really bugged me.Overall, the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was OK, so Id probably come back.

Delicious Food 2 Go
2688 Myers St, Oroville, CA 95966, United States
Went in around 4 PM on a rainy Monday to order to-go and was quickly attended to. Service was very pleasant and prompt. Papaya salad was extremely delicious! Some of the best Ive had and for the portion, the price is great at $7.50 for a pretty large container. Highly recommended and will be my go-to place for papaya salad fix from now on. Sesame balls (4 for $3.50) were huge, texture and flavor were perfectand well worth it as well; my three kids absolutely loved it. The pho (Meatball pho $6.50) was good. The broth was a little on the sweet side for me and I didnt notice much of the aroma or taste of spices that pho should have such as star anise, cinnamon sticks, cloves etc. Nonetheless, it was still filling especially for the price. Do support your local restaurants! I would recommend this place and am looking forward to trying out some of the other food items that they have to offer soon. (They also cater/have party trays as well for good prices.)
Spicy Kitchen
240 Table Mountain Blvd ste d, Oroville, CA 95965, United States
Small south east asian restaurant. Ate some for dine in and to go orders.I tried the combo with everything, pad see ew, and egg rolls.Pork belly, lao sausage and regular sausage was tasty, same flavor as what youd experience at other hmong places.Pad see ew was disappointing. All I could taste was little white pepper and oil. Wheres the dark soy sauce, or oyster sauce?Girl who helped me was super nice, super awesome. Excellent service. So theres another hmong restaurant in Oroville with similar menu, eveeything tasted the same so maybe same owner?Prices are reasonable for what you get.$10-15 a dish. Will come back for service alone, and try Pho maybe.

Donut Tree
2588 Olive Hwy, Oroville, CA 95966, United States
This place is one of Orovilles hidden gems! They dont just make tasty donuts in fact they have a wonderful small menu of noodle soups/curry soups, egg rolls, spring rolls, rice rolls, papaya salad, purple sticky rice, sausage, chicken and more. The egg rolls/spring rolls are freshly handmade and perfectly delicious with tasty sauces, the soup (kaopiak) is packed full of flavor and feels good on the throat, body, and soul. The owners are super friendly. Definitely adding this to my mental list of places to frequent! However, they are only open until 3pm so hurry down!(I 9nly commented on the foods Ive tried but I seriously cant wait to try them all!)
Oroville Chinese Temple
Oroville Chinese Temple Grounds, 1500 Broderick St, Oroville, CA 95965, United States
I just showed up the Chinese temple during business hours according to Google and their door! Just went to their website which was extremely difficult to find and found out that they are closed from November 24 through the March… Why are you close! How do you spread knowledge and facts about our history if you were close? If you need money to be open then you need to be asking the public for money you cannot do that if you are closed! Update your information so all the people knocking on your door right now know you are closed. Or better yet, open! Also you probably shouldn't have a woman living here telling people that they're not allowed to walk around it. Why are the gates closed but not locked and yet we aren't allowed to walk in the courtyard?
