Me and my family just moved here from Northern California a few months ago. We love sushi so we were really excited to try a new sushi spot, we googled places and found Hot Wok on State street and decided to give it a try, the first dish I tried was called the poke the first time it was Amazing, fresh, delicious a few times after that it became a problem. I noticed the fish looked not as fresh as the first few times because there was so much sauce poured on top it didnt look very good. The next time I called to order I made sure to tell the person who answered to please put all my sauce on the side, I reminded her twice she repeated the order yet when my husband brought in my food it was still filled with sauce which once again made it not look fresh. I called and told them it was made wrong again and the lady who answered was rude she told me it was the cooks fault not hers and that I could bring it back and get another which I wasnt prepared to do. Fast forward to this Saturday I decided to try Hot Wok again I called in and a woman answered I gave her the first to items we wanted then I started to ask her for the poke with rice which she proceeded to say Ive been here for 11 years and weve never served that sort of dish I told her this isnt my first time ordering this ive had it before then I asked her well what is your description of the poke her response was yellow tail, salmon, and a tiny bit of rice which was exactly what i said ? so I placed the order and sent my husband to pick it up.When my husband returned he handed me my food and said the waitress told me that the cook said your always calling there and complaining which to be exact ive only called twice so either someone else has the same issue as me or maybe a few people do but either way that was extremely unprofessional!!!! I was a manager at a restaurant for 6 years and this type of customer service would have never been allowed period! I even tried to call and talk to the manager a few times and they refuse to put the manager on the phone, so I decided to write because honestly after my husband told me what was said i couldnt even eat my meal because i didnt know if they had done anything to my food and thats NOT OK!!! I really feel there needs to be changes in customer service before they lose more customers.

I visited this location tonight and sadly disappointed with the service I received . I ordered two meals and was told there would be a wait for certain items . I agreed to waiting for fresher options . Once I got my order I saw that one of the items wasn't fresh, I didn't want to make it a big deal but I wanted the fresh food I waited for . I went back and I spoke to who I believe was a manager named “Jocelyn” . I explained to her and when she responded back it was very defensive and it came off as rude . she explained that the fresh batch she had, was the batch I received . I wasn't going to argue with her because I knew it wasn't fresh . She gave me a small portion to solve the problem which was awesome and it was noticeably fresh compared to the portion I had, but it was her demeanor and tone that sadly soiled this experience .

I visited here 3 weeks ago after not coming here for a while. My last visit here wasnt the greatest, customer service is fine, cashier was straightforward, yet stern. Fine.Food wasnt great. I ordered a Combo B + Fountain drink (Teriyaki Chicken, Broccoli Beef), with half-half fried rice/chow mein.Most, if not all of the food was pretty cold, I still managed to eat it because its wrong to waste food. Thankfully, it was OK to eat, but pretty cold. The Chow mein noodles were not only cold, but tasteless. Fried rice was OK, but nothing special. Entrees were less than warm, the veggies from the broccoli beef were hard to chew, the veggies rubbed against my teeth, the kind that raises the hair on your skin and an awfully annoying squeak.Im disappointed it hasnt changed in the span of 3 to 4 years.

We were passing through with family, hungry for Chinese but we wanted a nice sit-down restaurant. We settled on this place which had Asian cuisine choices like Japanese and Korean-style dishes, steaks and seafood. They also have a wide variety of Sushi rolls...ahh, but no Chinese choices. Still, everyone was pleased with the dishes they ordered, and I really enjoyed their baked mussels. You can choose flavors for your food dish and I chose an excellent spicy garlic-butter flavor for my mussels. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly to us out-of-towners! Considering the few food-court style Chinese restaurants we encountered in this town, this was a pleasant dine-in experience that served tasty Japanese and American cuisine!

HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I wont ever come back here again! I ordered a shrimp bowl and and shrimp plate with extra shrimp on both. Not only did I not get my extra shrimp but I found 2 long dark brown hairs in my food!I called and spoke to Christine who said she was the manager and she proceeded to argue with me about theyre not being any women in the kitchen. There was in fact 2 girls in the kitchen that day. Then she argued that the girls in the kitchen have black hair! I have personally seen all their staff and 98% of the girls have dark brown hair! I know for a fact it was not my own hair because my hair is electric blue!

The good egg is a great restaurant. I’d give it a 5 stars but they took the all you can eat beef stragonaf off the menu. By the way does anyone know when the new Asian buffet restaurant is opening up? It’s near the good egg restaurant in that shopping center.

The main items that they have are pretty good for a fast food Asian restaurant. You have to direct them to how much rice or noodles that go into your take out container, otherwise you will get 2 lbs of rice/noodles and 8 onces of the item that you order. I like the new front end staff they have serving the customers for the last year. Years ago the older ladies they had were very mean and rude. They acted like they were doing you a favor serving you that day. Anyone that has been going there for the last 10 years or more will know what I mean. Their food has kept people coming back.

I got a 3item. I said nothing at all to expect this experience. They over packed the box with rice and chow mein leaving very little room for the entree items.Then while scooping the entree items, he emptied the scoop multiple times to put less meat. Only trying to scoop vegetables. All choice of entrees had more then enough food in them. They do not let you know what items they charge extra for either. Which is about 3-4 items on the hot counter. They wait until your at the register. When I got to the register I got charged for every little thing. All sauces I was charged extra. Had to pay an extra fee for using my card. When I order online I dont have an extra fee. Also got charged $0.25 for the fork.This place is a joke. And bad representative for the chain itself. Mr. Woos is down the street. They will receive all my business and my recommendation for a Chinese place in the area.Really bad service. Give your customers what they pay for. Dont be shady. Its ok to give meat to the customers.

.my girlfriend and I had the wonderful and amazing experience of eating there. The staff was so polite and very helpful. We showed up about 7-8 minutes before closing. They served us and they also allowed a few other customers to be served while we ate there, which we thought was very nice. We asked about a few items as we had coupons they asked to see which ones we thought we might be interested and let us know which items out of the ones choosen were the better tasting and better bargain. My girlfriend picked out a double cheeseburger combo and I just had two rodeo burgers. They upgraded our fries for free since the coupon was only for the small side of fries and a drink. We ate while they took a few orders as I had stated before after the fact that they had been closed supposedly lol. They were very polite and asked if the meal was good my girlfriend asked for lettuce in her burger and they obliged without question. We finished cleaned up after ourselves as we were very thankful that they let us enjoy our meal without being rude that we had been there after hours, we figured eat and make it seem as if we were never there as not to bug or burden the staff. I understand this is hemecinto and not the best area, but this establishment treated us with very much respect and dignity as I very often get treated like a criminal or bum without money... Im niether as I have a job in the private health care as a wound care specialist, Im covered with tattoos from head to toe. Not very many places I go to where I get treated with respect or polite for that matter and im a firm believer of kill them with kindness. I hope this review wasnt to long and I hope your experience is as good or better than mine. God bless!
