HI BBQ CHICKEN - Korean Restaurant
1535 E Ontario Ave #101, Corona, CA 92881, United States
Heard about this place via my mom who saw it mentioned on Facebook quite a bit so wanted to check it outInterior decoration was a bit odd but homey. One thing I would say is it was very dark and quiet so felt a bit awkward to eat inside. The only server there was nice although we didnt speak much, she only had us and another table to wait on.We got soy garlic wings, hi chicken plate, and tteokbokki.Wings - delicious. Good flavor, excellent crunch, and meat was juicy. The fries were also good as they were the lightly seasoned kindTteokbokki- felt a bit overcooked but I dont mind as love the chewy texture. The sauce felt a bit watery but the flavor was definitely nice and spicy. Added hotdogs and veggies were niceHi chicken plate- great bang for your buck. Plenty of chicken served with rice and veggies as well as a Mac salad and small serving of fruit. It was very dead when we went so I hope that this place can get more recognition so that it sees more regular buisness and feels a tad bit more lively

This is our favorite Chinese food restaurant. Food is always fresh and delicious. Owners cook and serve, and very friendly. The restaurant is right next to the theater so easy to grab food before or after a movie. Our favorite is the House Chowfan, pan fried flat rice noodle. The noodles texture is always perfect. And the Mafa Tofu, a healthy choice. But todays best was the fish with the black bean sauce. They were so good and I forgot to take a picture. GreatChinese cuisine for the price of somr fast food.

I decided to walk-in to this place for lunch because I was nearby and it had a good rating. I got a 2-item combo. I was eating through the BBQ pork and I was almost done when suddenly I got a rotten taste in my mouth and had to spit it out. I had torn outside with my drink to gargle and spit out the taste in my mouth. It almost tasted like tasting a 9v battery. I told the people in the restaurant and a gentleman kept eating the BBQ pork with a toothpick from behind the counter and speaking in Chinese to the other 2 ladies who work there. He kept saying it was good. He came to my plate to even unravel the napkin where I spit out the food. They made me feel like I was doing it all on purpose and wanted to give me more food. I refused the offer and threw away over half the food I hadnt touched. I just couldnt eat anything else. The taste in my mouth is atrocious. Then they gave me back my money but not the extra I was charged for an ATM sale. I recommend no one eat here.

Came here with a couple of people. We sat down without being acknowledged. Waited about 3 minutes till I got up to get our own menus. Maybe it was cause we were in a bit of a rush but it seemed like we waited very very long until we were approached and had our order taken. Once again we waiting for quite a while until our food arrived and we proceeded to enjoy our meal. I ordered some spring rolls forgot to say no meat so they brought it over with some sort of beef, but that was completly my fault. As far as the veggie pho bowl I ordered goes.... Ive had waayyyyy better pho. The broth wasnt good at all. The noodles were regular noodles. The veggies were good, there veggies....but then, as I processed to grab some noodles with my chopsticks I spot something. Whats was it. It was disgusting. It was a dead roach. Floating. Appeared as it had been chopped. And ended up in my soup. My not so good now even worst veggie pho soup. When we approched the lady on the register she seemed to be bothered. She didnt charge us for the soup. Service sucks. Food sucks. Roaches in my soup sucks. Id say dont do it. We should have gone to In N Out.

First, the food was excellent and our waiter was excellent. Thats where it ends.On January 27th we made a reservation for February 10th for a group of 13 people. It was my sister-in-laws 60th birthday. We checked in about 30 minutes early and they said our table was being set up. They then texted us to tell us our table was ready. When they took us to the table, some other guy we didnt know was sitting there. We told the hostess and she just walked away. When more of our part went to the podium after receiving the text that the table was ready, they were directed to the same table where more strangers were now sitting. Logic would suggest that you apologize to the people you errantly sat there and ask them to wait their turn. That table, by the way, didnt even accommodate their entire party. But no. The hostess said the manager would have to handle the situation and he didnt even appear until 10 or 15 minutes later. He refused to move the other party. So, we had to wait another 15 or 20 minutes to be sat in the outside patio. By the way, their patio is not enclosed and it was 54 degrees and the wind was blowing. If we had a Plan B, we would have left immediately, but it wasnt feasible. So in the cold we sat, outside, with my 93-year-old dad (bundled up, sitting by the outdoor fireplace), family that drove in from Arizona just for the occasion, and the birthday girl who just lost her father and just had a double mastectomy due to cancer. But of course the manager didnt know all of that, and he wasnt remotely interested in fixing his staffs mistake. His solution was to give us some free appetizers.Ill never go back to Wood Ranch again. This was my second time. The first time (a different location), we left after waiting at our table for 35 minutes without being approached. That time, the manager followed us out the door offering us free dessert. How about not offering free food, and instead training you managers and staff how to handle situations and correct their mistakes? But, again, the food was excellent and our waiter was wonderful. But thats not enough to make me or anyone else in our group ever return.

They have great vegan (plant based) options! Ive been so sad that everytime I go to laughin there is literally 4 options for vegans... but happily I found this place, we asked for a grill and they grilled our veggies and tofu with delicious sauce. My only complain is that the chef was also cooking meat for my brother and instead of using half & half grill for both, he decided to just cook our food after the meat ? we didnt have time to wait to cook again..so I did not asked to remake them, but please consider asking your customers if this ok with them. Thank you

So Ive been coming here for years with my family as a dine in customer. Never had any issues. As for work, I deliver for 3rd party delivery apps. Tonight I had a Grubhub order to be picked up here. Got there and the order wasnt ready. Which was ok even though I drove quite a ways to get there. I did let the customer know of the situation. The young man working there doesnt really understand English that well. I asked him when I got the order, was this order put in when I arrived? He said no that it was already put in prior to u showing up. Seemed odd cause from the time I got the order to when I showed up was almost 30 minutes. The order should of been done or at least close to being done when I showed up. But anyways, so I drop off the order to the customer. A few minutes later I get a text from that customer stating a few items where missing. I was like, oh man! The customer said its ok and not a big deal. Called the restaurant letting them know the situation. The young man answered and I could barley understand what he was saying. Told him what the customer told me was missing. No apology, just asked if I was coming back for the missing items. I told him no the said its ok. Said thankyou and hung up on me. Wow! Well, after this experience I am boycotting this place. Gonna tell my family, not eating here anymore. Its sad cause weve been coming here for over a decade. We love the moo shoo pork here. But service wise, unless something changes not coming back!

I wont lie to you guys. We went on a miniature adventure trying to locate this wonderful place. Cant decide if its because we are special, or because this place is in such a tactical location that not even the hide and seek world champ of 2027 could find it. Anyways enough of that. Lets get down to business, to defeat the Huns. Woops. Those are lyrics to Mulan. Sorry.Seriously though. This place is delicious and I would highly recommend it to any noodle loving food connoisseur. Upon arriving at this little eatery on the corner, directly across from a conveniently located gas station for all your late night needs, we were greeted by friendly staff eager to serve their customers. Not even thirty seconds had passed and we were already being asked where we would like to sit and being directed to a table. Before you could even get comfy in your chairs we were already being asked what we would like to drink, not that this is a bad thing because Im a thirsty guy. But wait, theres more. Would you like ice with your waters? Youre damn right Id love to put frozen water in my liquid water to make it a bit colder on an already cold and rainy night.I had never been asked before if I would like ice in my water. Most restaurants assume its something you want, but I was very pleased that they would even ask. Definitely brownie points. A little later into visit, after starting at their mouth watering menu for a solid twenty minutes me and my companion, who is very cute by the way, ordered the Chicken Pad Thai for herself and I ordered the Beef Pho Bowl, or Pho Bo for short. The wait wasnt too bad, about 10 minutes. Plus Im a firm believer in hunger is the best seasoning. When the food came out and arrived at our table, I took one whiff of my dish and immediately went to a noodley heaven. I transcended through noodle space and time and found myself in a bathhouse. Except the water was not water. It was a rich and tasty beef broth that was capable of bringing even the toughest man to his knees, and a tear to his eye. Not unlike cherry pie by Warrant.I felt like I was in a 5 gum commercial. Every seasoning was so pronounced. I could literally taste each flavor dancing on my tongue. At one point there was the macareina, and halfway through the bowl they changed it up and were doing the tango. All while this was going on, I was slowly being wrapped up in a noodle blanket covering me from head to toe. I could die a happy man. The warm noodles radiating heat throughout my body. I could do the Polar Plunge naked up in Big Bear and not even flinch at the sheering icy winds or freezing water. Which I actually did earlier last week. My feet almost fell off it was so cold. But not today, because I was protected by a coat of hot noodles. The Chicken Pad Thai was also very delicious. I had a couple of bites. Unfortunately not enough to transcend noodle space and time once more, but I would highly recommend the dish. Enough so that on a second visit it would be a strong contender for my next dish.We also had the Singha beer which was surprisingly good. It was a lighter beer with a nice aftertaste. Complimented our dishes quite well. We originally wanted the Lucky Buddha, but unfortunately it was out. Guess Im not getting lucky tonight :/A brief description of the interior now. Picture this, youre on a train going through the desert. Nothing but sand for miles and miles in every direction as far as the eye can see, which largely depends on your sight. You may need contacts. Anyways that desert scene is exactly what this place isnt. This joint is very quaint and cozy, in the best way possible. If I had to guess you could have about 40 people eating here max. But it works perfectly. Bamboo accent all around the walls, nice wooded flooring and tables. Felt like home. If home was a delicious Vietnamese Fine Dining establishment. Anyways I would highly recommend this place. It would have got a 5/5 stars but the bathrooms are a mission to find.

It was a good day to shop @ Costco. Not too busy. Picked up the new Banana Cream Pie. Will see how that goes.Since this pie is so big I was going to portion out the pie to my neighbors. This is when my family all got a taste of the pie. Well this so called Banana Cream Pie goes straight into the trash ?. No bananas to be seen in the pie. Just the horrible taste of fake banana flavor. The only part that tastes good on this pie was the graham cracker crust, but I suggest getting a box of graham crackers, butter and sugar. In the photo I put the rest of the pie back into the pie tin. Im so glad I didnt give any of this pie to my neighbors or serve this pie at a party. I would have been shunned by everyone I know.My family will stick to getting our Banana Cream Pie at Pollys or just making one ourselves.
