I love eating here because they have a menu and price point that would place them in Berkeley but theyre accessible right here in Fairfield. Theres variety and I can order freshly made food, home cooked style for around $9 on average. They have great Thai tea, boba drinks and if you like calamari theirs as as big as Funyuns, with the perfect crunchy chewy texture. Service is warm and friendly, the restroom is clean, and the tables are plenty. There are always people eating in and coming for pick-up when we eat here. We often see nurses from Kaiser picking up bags of take-out, or middle schoolers coming in for a icy slush drink to-go. I bring my family here often because there are enough choices for it not to get old.

China Palace Restaurant

This is my “How it should taste” Chinese food, hands down. I've eaten here as often as possible since 1990; after moving away, when I come back it's the first place we come and it's for enough food to freeze and drive home with us—the cook even knows our order and comes out briefly to see us, which always makes me happy, especially post-Covid.I've been forced to work at learning to cook Chinese food if I want it, and when it tastes “right” I'm in heaven for days. My favorites are the hot & spicy shredded pork or beef, and potstickers. I wish I knew the name of the hot & spicy sauce, though I did find a version in an old recipe pamphlet from 1900 or so, supposedly from San Fran.I can't wait to go back!!(Couldn't find an easy photo)

Bintoh Thai
2980 Travis Blvd, Fairfield, CA 94534, United States
Bintoh is an absolute gem!I have tried many of the things on the menu and I have never been disappointed!Today I stopped by and grabbed*the luscious Koon Fai Dang, one of their signature dishes with prawns and green beans in a lobster sauce, which has terrific texture and is a great combination of tastes. The prawns are very tender and its a good deal, in my opinion. I have had this multiple times and it is very consistent and its not something I recall seeing at other Thai places; not to say no one else makes it but its pretty rare, I believe.*from the Rice is Nice section of the menu I tried a new one for me, the Bintoh Fried Rice, which is excellent! The creamy sauce is thoughtfully in a small portion cup so you add it when you are ready to eat, and its totaly unique and crave-able by itself. The shredded chicken is plentiful, as well as the egg, with some fresh pineapple bits on the side that you can mix in, if you like. I thought leaving them on the side was a nice touch; again, a small thing but it shows thoughtfulness and respect for various palates.*also grabbed the hangover noodles, which are nice fat noodles, I think the udon wheat noodles, which are super delish and absorb the sauteed vegetables, shrimp, and chicken beautifully. I have asked for medium spice on this, but next time I think Ill pop it up to spicy, not Thai spicy though.*My favorite side order of peanut sauce, complex and flavorful and a great deal at 8 oz for $5.50, I add it to the various dishes or potstickers I have gotten in the past and its wonderful!I have also tried dishes like the crab friend rice, the Pra-Ram chicken, the Spicy Fried Catfish (with a curry sauce that reminds me of the lobster sauce), the Gai-Yang (chicken marinated in soy sauce, garlic, and Thai herbs and then charbroiled for that unique crunch ad topped with cabbage, carrots, and peanuts, with a sweet and sour sauce; KILLER!), and the potstickers. triangle tofu, and the Thai chicken wings. Each and every one of these has been tremendous. My only disappointment is that they have not had the Eight Element Wrap available as an appetizer a few times when I have asked for it, perhaps some ingredients are hard to source reliably or something, but maybe someday itll re-emerge!As I mentioned, I always get it to go when I am headed home on a weekend afternoon from Davis to Napa, but the inside of the place is cute and relaxed and I would have no opposition to staying. Another Yelp!er mentioned the lunch specials, which are quite a deal, and I hope people in the area can hit them up for these, except on the closed day of Wednesday! They deserve a break one day a week!Ive always had one of two people take my order on the phone and ring me up, and they have always been terrific; the orders are ready when they say they will be and are always packaged in study to go containers, stacked perfectly, and tied in a good-quality bag. My orders have always been right. Again, I know this sounds a bit granular, but getting your stuff home safely is part of the value, and they always show care in this important step, as well, which makes me feel valued and eager to go back!Thank you, June and caring staff, for dishing up wonderful food at a reasonable price and making me into more of an adventurous Thai eater, and being confident anything I get is worthwhile.p.s. there is a short YouTube made by the City of Fairfield that features Bintoh and will give you a sense of the place and June; thats a nice series done by the city that highlights some worthwhile small businesses, terrific idea and good production value to the vignettes!

Mandarin Restaurant and Lounge
219 Texas St C, Fairfield, CA 94533, United States
Well, well, well Im finally writing a review although ive been here at least 15+ times. This place at lunch is like a deserted truck stop, no one is every there.I always eat there because I love asian food and their is not many good Chinese food options in Fairfield. The staff is mostly friendly but strange. They seem like they wish they had the day off.The food was packed with so much MSG I feel so SALTY when I leave. The last lunch was a few days ago and we always have to order two orders of the Beef Hong Kong Style chow mien because their portions are so small it can only feed two adults if that. Most other restaurants have a generous portion since its only a noodle dish. When I order from here its mostly veggies and a little noodles and meat. They forget we are in America. LOLI ordered pork fried rice and the meat was very light in color and no flavor at all its scary to eat. We just left it on the plate. The rice was bland with nothing vibrant to awaken the plate. The Salt N Pepper shrimp is usually good but too salty and the chow mien is just alright but could be better. When this place has 3 customers and they rush your order it really seems undercooked and cooked with no love.I suggest they really focus on the quality to keep the few customer they have. Im rooting for you.

Hop Hings Kitchen
1343 Oliver Rd, Fairfield, CA 94534, United States
I have been coming here for 10 years and the food is always consistently delicious and the portions very generous! One of the few Chinese food places that still offer lemon chicken! The chow mein is perfect, not overly greasy or dry, the pork fried rice always tastes amazing! The prices havent changed much over the years, a two entree plate with rice and chow mein is still $10 and more than enough to fill you up. If you want delicious Chinese, huge portions, and a great price, this is your spot!

Palm Thai Bistro
5089 Business Center Dr # 105, Fairfield, CA 94534, United States
Ive eaten here on a number of occasions and they are consistently really good. Food is hot, fresh & delicious. Service is on-point. They dont mess around. They get you in, seated, order taken & food delivered to the table like bada-boom bada-bing! If youre on a time crunch for a work lunch theyll get you in & out quick but they do get busy at lunch so try to go either at 11:30a or like 1:15p to get a table. Also they close from 3-4:30 to reset for dinner. You will not be disappointed. Theres something here for everyone. The less adventurous eaters will enjoy the familiar potstickers, fried spring rolls & chicken katsu but check the blackboard on the wall for Specials like stuffed sausage mushrooms or crab fried rice. Their fried rice is amazingly buttery, garlicky & flavorful. The fresh rolls are so refreshing with a hint of mint & I could just drink the peanut sauce that comes with them. Pad Thai & Drunken Noodles are great too. All the curries & sauces are already pretty spicy for my wimpy tastebuds but you can always order it less or more spicy. You can wash it down with a beautifully smooth & silky Thai Iced Tea, I highly recommended it.

Dynasty Chinese Restaurant
2401 Waterman Blvd Suite A7, Fairfield, CA 94534, United States
First time here. My wife and I ordered take-out.The Service-The host was very kind and while I was waiting for our food, a waitress brought me a glass of ice tea since I had to wait. This was nice because it was 91°F today. The Good-lookingI ordered the Chicken Chow Mein (with a side of pork fried rice) and she ordered Sesame Chicken (with a side of steamed white rice). This is where we have been let down. The food did not meet the same level of professionalism as the service. Gordon Ramsey would be horrified haha The food has absolutely 0 flavor and, to be honest, smells a little off. I hope the rest of their food is better, but what we ordered was upsetting. We spent $36 (with tip- which the host and waitress totally deserved) and I believe that our money wouldve been best spent elsewhere.Considering that the host told me that they have been open since January 25th, 1995, I had higher hopes and expected better food than what we received. Maybe there is just a dud of a cook that was hired..idk. But, I most likely wouldnt recommend this place to a friend. I hope you guys have better luck.Updated***The owner tried to reach out, I missed the call. He offered a refund or another meal...and he said they fired the chef? When I tried to call back, I got no answer and left a voicemail. Maybe there is a lot more happening here than I will ever know, but my first opinion still stands lol

Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro & Bar
5030 Business Center Dr, Fairfield, CA 94534, United States
I've ate here many times but I will never eat here again because of the horrible customer service. I had an experience where I completely felt uncomfortable; the guy who was handing me my food decided to be extremely rude. I wasn't in the best attire but who is he to judge? I was simply picking up a Togo order. I would've never written this review if the manager would've sounded like she cared, but instead she belittled the things I explained to her. He tried to make me take a message when I called back to talk to a manager and I explained to him I couldn't and he proceeded to ask me more than once to leave a message; I told him I'd wait to speak to the manager. So that gives me all the more reason to write this review to make sure their higher up sees this. Their approaches were unprofessional. He also was not looking at my face (if you get what I mean) within the duration of me speaking to him which made me feel even more uncomfortable and infuriated; and this isn't something you should play about as a manager because if he does it to the next person they might not be so nice next time. Apparently they don't have plates or containers to hand out anymore to Togo orders as well as no silverware(was in the bag), and extra soy is now two?. Well I think you should retrain your employees who have never had a problem giving me any of these things. He also gave me a fork for rice when I asked for silverware; so y'all don't have spoons either?... I had no problem being nice and asking for these things in a manner where I would not get judged any further. I was told to go sit down while he went to go retrieve my order; as if I'm a little kid? I've never been told that by any other employee... and it was more so about how he came at me. Just a tip to their employees, you don't treat anyone rudely; we are all humans and it's completely wrong to act in the manner that was portrayed to me. Thank you for showing me that not everyone is as understanding as they should be at your establishment as this experience was one I will never forget.

Peking Restaurant
3073 Travis Blvd, Fairfield, CA 94534, United States
I used to order from Peking spending from $75 - $120 plus tip and was satisfied until I came in to place an order and for some reason the man at the front counter was very rude to me. I greeted him when I came in and said how are you doing and he said I AM BUSY. I waited for a while until I saw he wasnt doing anything at all and he purposely ignored me. I was very confused by this because the only other customers that were there were already seated and eating their meal. and there was a lady that had come out of the back and for about 15 maybe 20 minutes no one addressed me. They just kept walking around while I was standing there by the fish tank. I waited that long just to see if this was purposely done and it was so I waited til both of them were in front of me and said I dont know what I could have done for them to treat me like this but have a good evening anyway. I hope your other customers will get better service than I did. I havent been back since.

Chef Chens Chinese Cuisine
100 E Tabor Ave # C, Fairfield, CA 94533, United States
I can't say how excited I was when I found this place on Yelp and saw they have authentic Chinese/Szechuan food, specifically mala spicy food! The food we ordered were packed full of the spicy, numbing sensation. We ordered the Szechuan thin sliced lamb in hot pot, mapo tofu, dumplings in chili oil, salt and pepper wings, and jia duo bao herbal tea.The Szechuan hot pot included slices of lamb, cabbage, wood ear mushroom, topped with cilantro. The soup was hot, spicy, and had the perfect balance of the numbing sensation from the Szechuan pepper corn. It was super yummy and we finished it all!The mapo tofu was very good as well, had a good kick to it although my boyfriend said it was a bit too salty. The dumplings were delicious and came on top of chili oil.The salt and pepper wings were very crunchy and not too oily. I enjoyed it, although this was a tad salty also. Our waiter seemed to be very surprised we ordered the hot pot; he said that in the 4 weeks they've been open, we've been the first to order it! He was very nice and he gave us 2 more cans of jia duo bao teas on the house since he said not a lot of people order it. Overall our service was great.Chef Chen's took over Bamboo Garden, next to Little Caesar's. The restauraunt is in an assuming location, and has a small parking lot. There are tables for dining in but is limited seating.
