LAN NOODLE West Covina
1428 S Azusa Ave Suite B, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
This restaurant is so disgusting and fraud customerss money. Tonight I went to here dine in. Food was average. But customers service was two big thumbs down . When I received the bill I paid 40 dollars. $20×1, $5x 4. Because I thought my bill was 38 dollars something but my actual bill is $33 dollars something .So I went to the front ask why I paid $40 only gave me 1 dollar back. The lady in the front said you only paid $35 dollars. I let her know I paid $40. All of sudden one waiter stepped in to our conversation, raised his voice, said to me your bill only $33 thats impossible youll gave us $40, why do you think you did that thats impossible because your bill only $33 you cant give us $40. 1 with my kid. Since he almost yelled at me I decided paid my tips and left. But after I got home, I recount my money I found out Im missing five dollars. I called this restaurant they checked their camera after 15 minute waiting. They told me My five dollar was dropped by the waiter who was the one raising his voice on me when he passing by he accidentally dropped that five dollar on the ground so therefore when the lady came to check my bill out she only have $35 .But after I left, they actually found five dollars on the ground but when I called theyre not honest to me that they are already found five dollars on the ground but after I asked him to check the camera they say oh thats five dollar its belong to you. Thank you so much to blamed me and unjustly accused me.This is not a matter of $5 dollars, which just proves how shameless this restaurant is. I will not tolerate any kind of rude behavior in the future. I will not take my 20 minutes to drive back just because of the $5 dollars. You can keep but this restaurant forever owned me $5 dollars.I have to write this review. Because I have to let other people who pay cash to this restaurant know that double count your money before give to them.PS: dont use their suggested tips on the bill because its more than you actually need to pay do your own calculation.

Tian You Feng Dumpling House
1428 S Azusa Ave Ste A, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
Quality and service are pretty sub-par. Servers are confused and negligent.Food is mediocre at best. For the price they charge its insane that you get the same quality of food from some random off the corner Chinese chain restaurant at the price of a traditional high quality restaurant.I think they’re having hard times because ALL of the plates they serve with are PAPER PLATES from COSTCO. Aside from the noodle bowl that they actually need a real bowl for. They said they care about the environment and proceeds to go against literally the very meaning of saving the environment by using endless paper plates, plastic spoons, and Styrofoam cups. It felt like I just went to some side street food truck for 3x the cost just to sit down.$13 on average per dumpling dish. $18 for the cumin lamb. $15 for a noodle bowl and $13 for fried rice.Pork juicy dumplings was more dry than the fried pork and chive dumplings.Their servings are so small for their price my family heard another family asking why the serving size is small and the employee started justifying why that is. You’re better off going to panda express and save your money cause that place has more flavor than you could ever get by throwing money at them.Look at my picture. It looks like we just ate at home after microwaving some food from Costco.

Went there for lunch on a week day, so there was no crowds. This is a Chinese restaurant with a sport bar set up, could be fun when it is full. Food is very good and tasty with no hint of msg.?. Ordered braised beef soup noodles, fried stinky tofu, and pork dumplings. Excellent. I hope more people will discover this relatively new eatery and keep it in business cause I don’t want to drive to Arcadia or Rosemead when I have a craving.

Green Green Trees Your Vegan Kitchen
4141 Nogales St B107, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
Local vegan joint In West Covina. Ordered takeout from here on a Thursday evening and it took about 20 mins for the food to be prepared. You can order ahead online or phone in your order. The backstory of this restaurant is touching - you can read about it on their website.Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. It's awesome to have food that tastes delicious and is also healthy. We opted for a chef's choice set which comes with 3 entrees and 1 appetizer. The appetizer was a veggie dish and had a light nice sauce. The fried chicken and wonton dish was the favorite dish of the night, and was crispy. The mushrooms in brown sauce had the right amount of flavor and came with plenty of veggies. We ordered some noodles on the side, which were chewy and my personal favorite. We also tried a slice of the tiramisu cake, which was light and has the same texture as a vegan cheesecake. You can order a whole cake with advance notice.Credit cards are accepted. Parking is free and available in the shared lot. The employees are very kind and friendly. There are a couple of indoor seating options (no outdoor). I like this place a lot for its homey vibes and the fact you can eat healthily, eco-consciously, and tastily all in one place.

Merrys House of Chicken
2550 Amar Rd A5, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
Family-run Indonesian restaurant with fried chicken. They're currently offering takeout/pickup during covid. I've always seen this place whenever I go get a massage at Ancient Thai, so we ordered lunch here on a Sunday. You can order online through their website or via phone. They said it would take ~20 minutes to prepare, but it was closer to 30. There were some Indonesian food stuff for sale inside the restaurant, and they enforce wearing a mask, social distancing, etc. Credit cards are accepted. Parking is available in the strip mall lot.Food-wise, the meat is a bit on the smaller side, but the flavor is top-notch. The half fried chicken (ayam kremesan)was more akin to the size of a quarter chicken, but the chili sauce and the fried crunchy things that came on the side were delicious. The sate babi (pork sticks) were also on the smaller side, but very tasty. The peanut sauce that came on the side was thick and peanut buttery; it completed the sticks very well. The chicken fried rice (nasi goreng Jawa) had a slightly pungent taste (maybe due to the fish sauce) but had a generous serving size and had a decent level of moistness. Overall, it's a small family-run restaurant with authentic, good food with reasonable prices.

Da Han Mongolian BBQ
138 N Grand Ave, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
I dont know I had a Mongolian restaurant so close! I believe there hours have changed due to COVID. Dinner hours apply. Walk in sanitary stations are in restaurant. You have groves and individual tongs for your food. Cleanliness is a priority and is taken seriously.Okay now for the price and selection... you choose between or all steak, chicken, shrimp. Bar of yummy veggies, and sauces if choice. The chef prepares as you patiently wait. For $14.00 its as much as the bowl will fit. Its definitely a hearty portion that can be shared or have left-overs. The dish is how you make it!!! Mine was delicious and I will be back. You get a delicious role to compliment your entrée.The staff has hustling around. Enforcing the health mandates and being hospitable in one! They have made outdoor dining for those that prefer to still eat at the restaurant.I will be back!! Definitely if are looking for yummy filling clean eating - dont wait! Go support and tip them for being so kind in these trying times!

Shaanxidatang
987 S Glendora Ave #k, West Covina, CA 91790, United States
Have to disagree with most of the reviews here. Thought the whole grilled fish was their specialty. Came and ordered just that. Fish wasnt even fresh. They admit it was frozen. It was half submerged in sauce that tasted pretty sad. No red chilis, sesame seeds and didnt look like the picture at all. Was the worst tasting grilled fish Ive had. Spoke to owner who said the fish was in fact not their specialty.Ordered a Shaanxi noodle dish instead which is supposed to be their specialty. It was greasy and diny taste good.

Tokyo Central
1420 S Azusa Ave, West Covina, CA 91791, United States
Tokyo Central at West Covina is the market I must go to every month, at least once per two months after I moved from Glendora to Pasadena. I love it.Its 7 years ago, and I permanently moved from Shanghai to LA, I visited almost all the Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thailand, and Philippines markets but I was not satisfied. I am a professional amateur chef, I need good materials. Yes, I found most seasoning, raw food, cookware, dishware, and tools in the markets, but I was not satisfied until I found Tokyo Central randomly. It filled in the blank part of my requirement. Why am I saying that? Tokyo Central always has the best quality foods. For example, the rice, I could find good rice in other Asian markets but Tokyo Central in 2016. The Nishiki rice from Japan was so soft and so good. The pity is that the Nishiki rice became a Product of UAA since COVID, became much worse than before. Nowadays, I still dont have good rice to eat.Tokyo Central has a big canteen just beside the entrance, you can buy the food, sit and eat them in the canteen. The canteen provides seasoning sauces like ketchup and soy sauce, tempura sauce, etc. It also provides a microwave oven, cold and hot water, forks, knives, and chopsticks. You can warm your food there and enjoy them, very convenient.Tokyo Central also provides buffet-to-weight foods, not too many options, around 20 kinds but very balanced. There were tempuras, fried chicken, fish, vegetables, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, yakisoba(fried noodles), and rice. The buffet station was closed for several months by the pandemic as well as the canteen. Now some of the buffets changed to prepacked and some are still pick-as-you-want.There is also plenty of sushi, rice ball, bento, Japanese style desserts, Japanese style cakes, all you can eat in the canteen after paying them through the counter. I love those onigiris (triangle rice balls) even though the price is getting higher and higher recently. It looks like they shorten the opening time of the canteen after the pandemic, I didnt get the chance to have lunch there several times.I think I know Japanese food well, and I cook them well. I think I am qualified to say that since I translated one Japanese food dictionary and one Japanese cookbook. I can get most raw food from Tokyo Central when Id like to cook Japanese food. I can get okonomiyaki powder and sauce there, as well as takoyaki powder and sauce. I can get various Japanese seasoning sauces there as well as thin and thick noodles. The raw fishes for sashimi, are good. The premium beef is good. Also, the bags of Japanese pickles, are authentic and delicious.(to be continued)

Sheng Hui Dim Sum
2889 Valley Blvd J, West Covina, CA 91792, United States
They seemed very unorganized, although that can probably be attributed to how new the place is. My mother and I ordered takeout on a Saturday morning, not even half an hour after opening, and we waited for almost an hour before we got our food. We were only fourth in line when we arrived. And even though we were there shortly after opening, they had already run out of three of the items we had wanted to try.The place is very small inside, only four small tables or so for eating there, but they do serve customers who eat there before taking orders from to-go customers. Most of the food we had was ok - nothing super special or delicious - although they do have some cute designs for their buns or cakes. If youre really craving dim sum and you cant get to another place because of distance (being within walking distance of this place), this will satisfy the craving, but I wont be driving to come here again.
