Ping Pong Chinese Cuisine
17267 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316, United States
When I lived in Encino, I ALWAYS ordered from Ping Pong. In fact, I ordered from them so much that they knew who I was every time I would call. They always went significantly out of their way for me…often even delivering me my food after hours! Beyond just the fabulous service, the quality of the food is absolutely outstanding. With Chinese food, I often find myself feeling like I'm eating a lot of fatty chunks of meat & it could taste like it's been sitting out for a while. This is certainly NOT the case at Ping Pong. They're food always tastes so good! They clearly use the finest quality of ingredients and serve by far the absolute most freshly made dishes. They are definitely best Chinese food place I've ever ordered from. I must mention though, they are a bit pricier than my others. Personally, I think it's well worth it. The quality supersedes the higher price tag! Highlyyyyyy recommend
California Wok
16656 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436, United States
Great Chinese food. Ive been going here since I was a kid. They recently updated the restaurant, which is nice. The theme doesnt really fit though (seems like a cafe more than a Chinese restaurant when looking around inside).
Thai on Ventura
17544 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316, United States
We found this restaurant just by chance and saw the Yelp reviews, which motivated us to try it.The restaurant itself is small and they made the best of the limited space. Nevertheless the atmosphere is cozy, nice soft jazz music is playing in the background and it's absolutely clean. The service is very friendly. The menu offers a big choice of different Thai food. I think everyone can find something to please their palate. We ordered chicken Satay as an appetizer. The chicken meat was deliciously flavored & juicy. The TOM KHA SEAFOOD SOUP(Coconut soup with mixed seafood, lemon grass broth, kaffir lime leaves, lime juice, coconut milk, mushrooms and fresh chili) was served in a flaming bowl to keep it hot. I ordered it medium spicy, which was quite hot enough for me. The taste of the broth was absolutely delicious, and it was loaded with succulent chunks of white fish, mussels and more shellfish. I loved it!My husband ordered PAD THAI (stir-fried rice noodles in special sauce with egg, bean sprouts, roasted peanuts, and green onions) with chicken. It was a huge portion, well flavored & delicious. The price, quantity and quality relationship is very fair for each dish!We will surely come back and try more of these delicious dishes.

First, we want to say thank you Alina for the great experience we had in our “Very Special Day”.From the first appointment until the moment we walked out of Lucky Wedding Day Chapel, everything was wonderful. From the beginning, she was sure we meet all legal requirements to be married, she took care of all the paperwork. She and her husband are doing of this place a romantic setting for the special day.On the day of the wedding everyone gets nervous, especially when the bride runs a little bit late; but Alina made us feel comfortable and at ease.We feel so lucky and happy that she was our officiant, after all the emotional tears, there were some laughs; she created a personalized and meaningful ceremony. We were able to say our vows, that express our beliefs, in our native language (Spanish), for all the family to hear us.We were able to select, in advance, the songs we wanted for the entrance and for our fist dance.Very emotional to have “our song” played in the first dance in front of our family members at the end of the ceremony. If you are planning for a civil ceremony to get married, we encourage you all to check this place before taking a final decision, for sure you will be very happy. Her services are impeccable and if you are looking for something not too complicated, something easy and professional, go to the Lucky Wedding Day Chappel and ask for Alina Bilych.Thank you so much for your job, you are so kind.
Mulberry Street Pizzeria
17040 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316, United States
As a native New Yorker in Los Angeles California, there are a few things Ive come to grips with, the transit isnt rapid so I need a car, Szechuan Chinese food is hard to find here, and supposedly, pizza can never taste good here because of the difference in water. Lol. I swear Ive heard it all, one guy said his Dad flys either the water or dough he uses (cant remember which) in his pizzerias from New York to L.A.A few years ago I was having one of my L.A. sucks, I wanna go home! tantrums. I mentioned to my cousin that if I could just simply get a slice of pizza, Id be okay. She suggested a pizza place across the street. I was ready to explain in my nasty NYC is better than Everything tone that this place could never accommodate my pallet when she said the name of the restaurant was Mulberry Street Pizza. IM FROM THE LOWER EAST SIDE OF MANHATTAN! MULBERRY ST. IS PART OF MY HERITAGE!!! I havent paid for pizza from another place since ❤️Recently I found out that there are multiple locations and this week I visited this location on Ventura blvd. Fransisco was my pizzaiolo (or maybe simply a great host). We had an awesome conversation while I waited for my order to be ready. I told him my Snotty NYer Mulberry Pizza Story, he gave me the concise history on how the Pizzerias came about and the growth of the business. Fransisco was able to have great conversation with me while greeting customers, packing orders, and taking new ones. No one seemed to feel neglected. The vibe was laid back with a smell that reminded me of home. When youre in L.A. from NYC and youre feeling homesick, or if you just want to know what a REAL slice of pizza tastes like without the plane flight, Mulberry Street Pizza is the only place Ive found that hits me like the real thing. The price of a plain slice seems high to me and if pepperoni or any other topping is what you need, be prepared to pay a pretty penny, but in times of need or times of financial stability, an extra buck is nothing compared to a trip to the doctor for depression or a red eye to JFK.Mulberry Street Pizza is family friendly and as I left I asked permission to snap a shot of a picture perfect father and daughter enjoying a couple of slices in the shade on a hot day utilizing the cute and quaint outdoor seating. Pizza makes people happy! Mulberry Street Pizza takes happy to the next level ???A+++++++++ from me, Warner Bailey

From the moment the food arrived, it was clear we were in for a treat. Their menu selection left nothing to be desired, offering an extensive range of salads and a wide variety of sandwiches that cater to every taste. The quality of the food was exceptional, noticeably surpassing what you might find at similar restaurants in the area. The Nook
17316 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316, United States
The Nook is the latest brunch spot to pop up in Encino. I was really excited to try this place based off its newness and the fact that there can never be too many great places to brunch.I went on a Saturday morning early (8:45ish) and there was no wait at all. From the moment I walked in I knew I was going to like this place. It has a charming quaint appeal. Its very homey and welcoming. Of course the servers matched the décor, providing very courteous customer service.Their menu is pretty vast with a multitude of pancake, French toast and waffle variations. I decided to get the best of both world and got a breakfast combo plate with pancakes (just the regular buttermilk), chicken apple sausage (this was a substitute) and poached eggs. My boyfriend and I decided to share some hash browns as well. The buttermilk pancakes were really doughy. Wasnt my favorite pancake but my bf seemed to love them. They are generously sized and were topped with powdered sugar. The chicken apple sausage was AMAZING. They were grilled to perfection with tasty char marks and sweet succulent apple bits. Really enjoyed. The poached egg went splendidly with the hash browns. I did have to provide a bit of pepper as they were not seasoned to my taste but they were cooked pretty well.Overall really cute brunch spot with some tasty options. Its plenty of parking spots and friendly service. The crowd was a bit older but it could have been because it was so early. I wouldnt recommend the pancakes unless you like them sugary and doughy.
Marias Italian Kitchen
16608 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436, United States
7/17/2021Important to please note that his review has nothing to do with the Marias as a whole, and I really hate to leave a poor review for Marias Italian Kitchen since we have been loyal customers for decades. West Los Angeles at first and since, my family and I have always gone out of our way to find a Marias location when wanting great Italian food. However this evening when my wife and I walked into the Encino restaurant at 8.30 we were greeted by a rather displeasing young woman whose initial greeting was were closing a 9.00 PM. I was somewhat taken back but maybe she had a long day, so I chose to just ignore the comment. We then sat inside where we realized it was incredibly cold. There was only one other couple at another table. I asked the same young woman if she could warm it up a touch, and we were curtly told that it needed to be cold for health reasons. We then moved to the small outdoor patio which was great. The server was very impatient for us to order and my wife wanted a couple of minutes to read the menu. When we decided to order the Parmigiana we were informed it would take 15-20 minutes. I looked at my watch and asked what happens if its after nine and were here, do we have to leave? Her response was a rude YES At that point I requested her name which she was not quick to respond but she told me it was Melissa. We then got up and went to another restaurant close by, where we were greeted warmly. I am aware that servers are difficult to come by these days, but so are loyal customers! To many other options to put up with this kind of attitude. Will certainly continue to patronize Marias but not at this location for sure.
Calif Chicken Cafe
15601 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436, United States
As someone else mentioned, it is absolutely absurd that this small chain and especially this location do not allow dine in! All that wasted space that could be used for a restaurant that could seat many guests! I like to dine in or go into a place and order my food to go unlike so many who are too lazy these days to do that. I do NOT do drive through or curbside pickup, not one of those lazy people! On a good note, they have a good Chinese chicken salad but cant enjoy that anymore and be able to refill my iced tea or their yummy lemonade. Unfortunately, this place has just become a service dedicated to providing food for stupid delivery services for lazy people that I will NEVER use. They might as well just close shop and open one ghost kitchen for delivery services so that the real estate can be used for something more useful!
The Habit Burger Grill
17132 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316, United States
THE HABIT BURGER GRILL,* part of the Santa Barbara chain, is much more than a burger Joint. Their charbroiled burgers are elegantly constructed and a joy to devour.Building a burger is not complex. So, to impress an epicurean pallet, each element must stand tall and, at the same time, complement the whole. The patty (beef or soy) should radiate freshness, while the lightly toasted bun maintain the strength to hold the patty proud. Then consider the complexity of the condiments: rich ketchup, American cheese, mayo, fried or fresh minced onions, avocado, tomato slice, shredded iceberg lettuce, and the cool, stringent flavor of dill pickled cucumber slices. There she stands, strong and true, patently anticipating your first intoxicating bite.Adding Julienne potatoes and crusted onion rings complete the feast. The potatoes and onions are deep fried to order, and delivered asrequested, crisp or very crisp. The tempura (breaded) green beans are a surprisingly rewarding pleasure. The menu also offers chicken sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, BLTs, and salads. There is a selection of buns or, if you prefer, a lettuce wrap.Pepperoncini, Banana, and Jalapeno peppers are available from the self-serve pepper bar. Enjoy the Jalapenos carefully.Fill or refill, as often as you like, at the soft drink bar. Create something different by mixing flavors: Diet Coke with lemonade, topped with a lemon wedge, for example. A large cup, lid, and straw are supplied when you order.Orders come quickly from their open kitchen even at the busiest time. Watching the cooks complex ballet is fascinating.A supplied beeper informs when your order is ready for pickup. The friendly and knowledgeable counter staff double-checks your order, then carefully places it on a tray or packs your meal for take-a-way.Indoor and patio seating are offered. The entrance to the patio is along the East wall in the center of the eatery.Everything is wheelchair accessible including the two, gender neutral bathrooms. The free parking is ADA compatible.* The Habit Burger Grill was founded in 1969. There are currently 358 locations in 14 states. California has 250.
