A & W BBQ Seafood Restaurant
16906 San Fernando Mission Blvd, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
This is a review solely based on the dim sum experience.I really wanted dim sum, so I decided to visit this place and I immediately love it so much more. If you live in the valley and cant go all the way to Alhambra then you know how hard it is to find good dim sum. The only other great place is the other A&W. So Im not comparing to places outside of the valley because that would be a whole different comparison. I like this one for their dim sum than the other A&W on Reseda because of the time, location, options and taste.Dim sum is available until around 3:00pm, so definitely show up before then. This is awesome because I have more time on the weekends to show up. The restaurant is also very big, so it can have more people than the other restaurants. This is located in Granada Hills, and it is close to the 118, so you can stop by here and just head on to the freeway (depending if you need to go on there). When I first walked in, it smelled like various Chinese food dishes, but it didnt smell strong or bad. It actually felt clean and it brought back memories of some good food experiences. So I was definitely more excited to eat here. When the dim sum carts came around they had more options (even though I showed up late in the afternoon), including more shrimp dumplings, pork ribs, siu mai, pork buns, shrimp and beef noodle rolls, and the little footballs (I never remember the actual name). Usually because I show up late, they start running out of some of the dishes, but they had everything I wanted so I was very happy. The taste of the dim sum dishes were a little different too, it didnt feel as oily and you can taste the various ingredients. When I had finished, I didnt feel as bloated as most other times. I definitely enjoyed the food. The waiters and waitresses were a different story. Not as kind and responsive as the other locations. If anything, they looked annoyed most of the time and I felt like they were avoiding our table sometimes. Maybe they had a long day, but the service wasnt very enjoyable.Overall, luckily the food was great and definitely coming back for dim sum. I have yet to try the food on the menu, but they look great though. I really want to try the duck next.
Panda Express
18080 Chatsworth St #b, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
I like to come to get my food here after work whenever I have no time to prepare; unfortunately, every time I come here, there is this skinny Hispanic man, probably 5'3” to 5'4”, wears a rectangle black-framed eyeglasses and he acts like he is the boss ( he is also sometimes the cook) is EXTREMELY STINGY in serving food. I once heard him instructing the other lady, telling her in Spanish not to put much into the meal she was preparing, so she returned some of the servings. But I noticed he would put a lot of servings to his ethnicity or “his people.” When it comes to other customers, he never smiles, never greets, and always acts irritated. I do not know if it is the franchise policy of this place to be stingy in their food serving because when I go to other Panda, they are generous with their serving, especially when closing time is near.To that Hispanic man, if you have personal issues or are not happy with your job, it is about time to reconsider your other options. To the franchise owner of this Panda Express Chatsworth, Granada Hills, please reeducate and re-evaluate your staff of customer service and serving. This Panda Express is EXTREMELY STINGY IN FOOD PORTION.Hong Kong Express is way better than your serving policy.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
18101 Chatsworth St SUITE A, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Used to go here all the time, love the Thai Basil Shrimp, but after some employee turnover, they suddenly are competing for the we are tirelessly trying to make sure you never step foot in our restaurant again awards. The Thai Basil shrimp or chicken used to be pretty consistent, but then started this pattern of sometimes its good, sometimes its pretty awful, guess it depends on who does the cooking. The third to the last time I came here my friend and I waited for like 15 minutes after we ordered and no food, mind you it takes all of 45 seconds to stir fry this dish. I walked to the counter and said, did you all forget me? The blond haired manager was very nice and apologetic and gave me 2 coupon cards for 2 free meals, but when we got the food, lack of noodles and very oily. The second to last time I came here with one of the coupon cards, and again, like 15 minutes to get the food, lack of noodles and really oily. Today I said to myself, going back with the last coupon, Ill just order something else. So I get in line behind 1, I repeat, one customer who is ordering. I am standing behind this guy for 5 minutes, then I say, excuse me, but could I please order? They have 3 cashiers. The girl at the cash register says, excuse me, Im the cashier today. But the rest of the employees, including the manager are well aware your like waiting forever, but dont seem to care. And you know why they dont care? Because their entire focus at that store is on the post mates and uber eats customers. In all 3 cases theres hardly anybody in the dining room, but they are working away filling orders and putting them in to go plastic bags. So thats their deal: screw the in store customer, if they dont like it they can go somewhere else. So if you go to this store you can count on a guaranteed long wait for not so good food. The entire crew at this store should go to Habit Burger and just watch the show, those people get it when it comes to great customer service experience.

I have been meaning to write a review about this place, but the name of this place was always on the tip of my tongue. I couldnt recollect the name until now. I was thinking about the amazing food I had here when my friend Bryan had introduced me to here. I remember studying at his house and he would be craving thai food. According to him and the owner, he had been dining here forever and had been a loyal customer. OF course anytime when you hear that, it has to mean something. So, i ordered a chow mein. Yes CHOW MEIN! a Chinese noodle dish but it has a thai flavor to it. So, I had ordered that with thai ice tea and spring rolls. Since then, I have come back again and again bringing friends from all walks of life to try this place. Of course I should definitely try the other dishes, but i am addicted to their chow mein. It just doesnt get better than this. I am not a frequent customer, but this place is a nice hole in the wall, mama and papa restaurant. The dining place is quite small, not big for big parties, but its definitely worth the visit!
Granada Village
10823 Zelzah Ave, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
Basic Shopping Center nothing special to report except the over zealous security guard that needs to remember that he is a security guard for a generic Shopping Center not some sort of elite Police force. Really needs to kick back. Last time I was there I had my headphones in and apparently he was trying to get my attention because he thought I was leaving the parking lot, even though I was actually only walking across the parking lot to Orchard Hardware Supply when I had parked near Ralphs. Luckily I had forgotten my wallet in the car so I had to turn around to get it. Just as I am approaching my car I see this security guard taking pictures of my car and Im like excuse me whats up can I help you with something? And in a aggressive tone he replies yeah I was just about to have your car towed because I thought you were leaving the parking lot but leaving your car parked on the property. I responded in somewhat disbelieve uuhhhh no just walking across the parking lot to continue my shopping in this parking lot. Then proceeds to tell me if I want to park my car in this lot that I must stay shopping in this lot something extremely obvious to anybody. This is the first time that I can say luckily I forgot my wallet in the car what would have happened if I just continued on with my shopping and didnt bother to go back to the car for another hour or two. Who would have paid for the tow? Im glad I didnt get to that but seriously bro chill the F*** out! Remember youre just a security guard! And lastly this is not my first encounter with the crazy overzealous security guards of this Shopping Center. I can think of two other dudes. You shouldnt have to watch out for the security guards the security guards should watch out for you!
Good Pho You
10648 Balboa Blvd, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
In the shadow of Granada Hills faded grandeur, where sunshine glares through dusty windows and buildings wear their age like weary frowns, I embarked on a quest for comfort: a steaming bowl of pho. Elder parents in tow, lured by the siren song of slurpable noodles and fragrant broth, we ventured into a hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese joint boasting of good Google reviews.Alas, the promise of warmth dissipated along with the non-existent air conditioning. The cavernous space, empty yet oddly oppressive, welcomed us with stifling heat and the flickering neon glow of fluorescent lights. Two friendly young women manned the cash register, a beacon of hospitality in the dimly lit interior.Optimism clung to us, fueled by the anticipation of fragrant broths and springy rice noodles. We ordered generously, two steaming bowls of pho, a sizzling plate of Cha Gio (those Vietnamese spring rolls you know and love), and a comforting beef rice dish. Senior menus, a small victory in the realm of escalating appetites, shaved a modest four dollars off each pho, a welcome reprieve. Then, the first domino: no lettuce wraps for the Cha Gio. Just the lonely dip, staring vacantly at the vibrant tapestry of shredded carrots, mint, and basil. Strike one.The pho arrived, generous in portion, but sadly lacking the ethereal depth of truly great bowls. The noodles, competent but uninspired, swam in a broth that whispered more of blandness than nuanced spice. We shared, slurped, and enjoyed, fueled by the joy of family and the fleeting thrill of gluttony. The beef rice followed, another melody of edible but unexceptional. Flavors played it safe, nothing to write home about or send carrier pigeons to announce a culinary revelation. Still, we ate, the portions dwindling, content with the quiet company and the gentle comfort of a familiar cuisine. But then, as if the universe conspired against our humble feast, the bill arrived. The senior discount, vanished! Apparently, in the culinary code of this particular establishment, sharing was not caring. Eight precious dollars, pilfered by a policy as baffling as it was petty. We grumbled internally, choosing silent smiles over festive conflict. Arguing during Christmas season, even against gastronomic injustice, seemed less appealing than a swift escape. So we paid, thanked the world for the lukewarm experience, and wished them a very happy new year. As we stepped back into the sun-drenched streets, the warmth felt somehow different, tinged with the disappointment of a culinary letdown. The pho, it turned out, was just a footnote in the fading landscape of Granada Hills, a reminder that good eats, like true warmth, arent always easy to find in the shadows. This, my friends, is a critics lament, a ballad of acceptable noodles and misplaced discounts sung under the unforgiving spotlight of a forgotten suburb. And while the memory of that pho may fade with time, the lesson it taught will linger: in the vast culinary landscape, the search for truly great flavors, like the pursuit of true warmth, is a journey worth taking, even if it sometimes leads to empty bowls and chilly hearts.

Hot Chile Mexican Food
11061 Balboa Blvd, Granada Hills, CA 91344, United States
This is the best place to get Mexican food in the valley. We have been going there since they opened. All of the staff are always friendly, and willing to customize my food to fit my dietary needs. The food is authentic and not super salty. Their green tomatillo salsa is AMAZING. The portions are generous, cooked to perfection, and their prices are way reasonable. The place is a little hole in the wall, that does have a walk up ordering counter and several tables to dine in. This restaurant is definitely worth driving all the way across the valley when we have a craving for mexican food. Be ready to wait a few minutes, if they are busy. They have a small staff, and cook all of the food to order.
