We had a birthday party at the Rose Garden restaurant and the food was very delicious and the serive was attentive and grat. We always look forward to ahving chinese food whenever were in Union city. The atmosphere is attractive, not noisy and not too formal where you feel uncomfortable.The restaurant has been around for awhile and food remains consistently very good- tasty - and true to a Chinese cuisine.

Golden Bay Seafood Harbor (Guhm Hoy wahn in Cantonese) is a solid choice for those looking for a more upscale Chinese dining experience at a fairly reasonable price. This is a good restaurant.Part of a restaurant group, Golden Bay is located next to Marina Supermarket in Union City. We went there for dinner.For parties of 5 to 7 people, consider the half portion of the full set menu. I dont think it is advertised, you may have to ask.For about $250, you get a very nice seafood dinner, including ginger lobster, small abalone, steamed fish, prawns and scallops, seafood soup, and so on. Dinner included their cold appetizer plate and stir-fried beef with mushrooms. Even the fried rice had scallops in it. The only complaint was the steamed fish as it was quite fishy.Almost everything we had was well prepared, and portions were quite generous given what was being servedService was polite and low-key. They were not snobby or haughty, unlike at some other higher chinese restaurants.The atmosphere within the restaurant is relaxed. The space is large and quiet enough for conversation. It almost makes you want to linger, and thats how restaurants should beThere is plenty of parking and the parking spaces are wide.I recommend this restaurant. Consider going there with family or a small group of friends

20 or more years now I believe that I have been coming here. Every time the food and service has been phenomenal. Not a single complaint in all these many years speaks for itself. I live within walking distance so one can imagine the frequency with which I frequent this restaurant and they are an absolute delight every time. By the by, Chinese food in general is not my favorite however this place certainly is and continues to sway my opinion towards the good. Fortunately House of Dumplings exists. Unfortunately they have ruined my chances of being happy with any other Chinese food restaurant. I’m still thinking this is a good conundrum being that House of Dumplings does indeed exist?.

I have since ordering foods here because I initially found the foods nice. Lately however I ordered the wonton soup which normally costs $ 13+ but I specifically ordered for large +$9+ on top of the regular price of $13+ which amounted to $22+ and is delivered in 3 containers. This time, I was only given the 1 container instead of the 3 to meet the large order. I called the restaurant to clarify but insisted that the 1 container delivered is the large order which now costs $22+. They refused to acknowledge the problem and informed me to call instead the lady driver of doordash who has nothing to do with the foods as ordered. This restaurant is a definitely a big cheat and I will have no intention to order again from them as well as to warn other customers of their schemes to cheat. Moreover the staff is very rude and speaks only in the dialect that she could only understand. No manners.

Visited on a Saturday around 6pm. We had a large party but with reservation so seating was no issue especially that early. We were extremely impressed by all the staffs there. We had an elderly guest with us and her movement is very slow. Everyone was patient with us. We were especially impressed with how courteous the staffs were, from their mannerism, gesture, how they move about, to the words they use. Chinese restaurants typically have a stereotype of not having stellar service no matter how good the food may be, or even how expensive the place is. This is totally not the case here. Hats off to the manager training the team!The food was very good too. We loved the hand made fish balls there.We will definitely come back to this place.

This place deserves more reviews ... as it is one of my favorite go-to Chinese restaurants where I just want something that tastes like home ... even some of my vegan friends love this place. The place is just down right legit and authentic, and your wallet will appreciate it as well. No frills, nothing fancy, but just a solid solid Chinese restaurant. If you love Chinese food, you must get to know this place. Its been around forever ... one of the older running restaurants in this plaza ... so theyve got to be doing something right.

Tucked away in the hood of Hayward, you’ve got this lil nice family run restaurant that’s out of this world! The customer service here is unmatched to the point I thought I was a in michelin restaurant. The chinese cashier makes sure your food come out piping hot and deliciously fantasia. With the flick of the wrist and the spin of the heel, your food comes out in the blink of an eye. And now that’s what I called customer service ??
