This is exactly what you want in a dim sum spot.... Traditional cart ladies witb all the tradition dim sum. Rarely a wait and the prices are great. Service is better than expected for a Chinese restaurant, but there will be a bit of a language barrier so be patient. Workers are very friendly and the food is great. Its my go to and hopefully stays the same and not get too busy after this plug, but I want the family and business to do well so please give them a try!

Broken rice evokes a sense of nostalgia for me. Soaked in nuoc mam with a mix of hot protein and pickled cabbage, com tam reminds me of my childhood and growing up in Garden Grove. I deeply craved com tam for lunch while driving my grandma around. We usually go to Thanh on Bolsa but my grandma wanted to try someplace new.You might think 3 stars, not a great review. But its pretty average. My dish was $9.99 which is comparatively pricy and plus, it only came with one shrimp and no cucumbers. Strange to not have cucumbers. We ended up chopping our own as we had taken it to-go. Taste-wise, it hit the spot for me. There was more rice so I felt like my bites didnt have enough variety. My grandma wasnt a fan of her short ribs and gave her half to me for leftovers.We took advantage of the BOGO offer but they only had thai tea at the time. My grandma preferred it to be sweeter: you can taste mostly the tea. To each their own.Its highly unlikely Ill come back to this place as its out of my way. But if I happen to be in the area and have a crave, I may return here or Google another place to try.

Absolutely, I recently had my wedding at Royal Restaurant and Banquet, and I couldnt be more delighted with the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with utmost care, and the service was impeccable. A special thanks to the manager, Phuong, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His attention to detail and warm demeanor made our celebration truly memorable. The venue itself is beautiful, exuding luxury and a fashionable ambiance. I highly recommend Royal Restaurant and Banquet for any special occasion. Five stars!

Would give 10 Stars if I could!!Great place if you love Seafood the seafood soup with the clear chicken broth was great Im actually taking my friend back for dinner I loved it so much.Have to update after I took my friend back here for dinner on the same day. OMG this place is wonderful I am so sad that I did not Discover it it when I lived in Garden Grove really close for 3 years.Their dinner menu is really long full of pictures any different style you want like such as when you order the soup you can get it Vietnamese style Chinese Style Korean style and some of the dishes you can change to as far as the spices which is great because its not typical Chinese Fair throughout the whole menu. That said everything tastes so fresh like it was caught out of the ocean that morning and prepared fresh. To be honest the outside of the place looks like a commercial building with no windows but it is a very nicely decorated inside formal dinner tables cloth tablecloths ceramic chopsticks even at lunch and dinner you get a full pot of tea you get a nice little tapioca desert you get the big bowl of rice on the side. I got that even with just my bowl of soup at lunch. Which was very reasonable at $10 for a huge bowl and I took some home.The dinner menu pricing starts less than 20 and goes all the way up to family style on a huge turntable and some meals that have several courses for groups up to $300.I would say if you want a special place to go and you love Asian food an Seafood this is the place to go. They also have chicken and meat dishes. They have dishes where the food is chopped up or has batter or is filleted fish or is whole fish cooked literally the menu items go into the hundreds on the numbers not getting. They have two locations but it looks like if you want dim song they have certain hours where you get it stops in the afternoon. It seems not every dishes available at the place I went to maybe the other restaurant was the main one not sure.They have crab lobster and shrimp if you dont like fish. For dinner we stuck with two shrimp dishes one with salt and pepper shrimp which was amazing in the flavor I cant believe it was just salt pepper and a very light batter the only thing that surprised me is it was flash-fried so the shell was still in there after a while I couldnt chew through it I just took a shrimp out and ate the outside batter. Then we also got mango honey shrimp and it was in a very light batter but a little heavier than the other shrimp. And then we had sizzling rice soup which was great but I have to say I really loved the seafood soup in the clear chicken broth for lunch even though there wasnt much spices the flavor of the chicken broth was unbelievable I couldnt believe it.I would give 10 stars for this place Im going to recommend it on Facebook if you receive food lover again this is the place to go!!And the service is unbelievable they have guys that will just kind of runs by your table and pick up dishes and you dont even know theyve come through they have another one always concentrate on the setup and the tea and other things and you have your waiter you get so much attention but they dont stand at your table and bother you they watch the room like a hawk.Im just so sad I live in another County now and just happened to be down in the area.

30+ years, consistent (food, decor, servers), delicious pot stickers and Chinese dishes. Its one of those places where you order some Chinese veggies, it arrives, nothing but veggies, garlic, salt, yet its stir fried to delicious.They used to have real whole fish steamed, but its just white fish pieces nowadays.Shrimp is big and yummy as before, whether walnut shrimp, or salt and pepper.Frozen dumplings can be bought as well - makes for a super easy treat at home anytime.Prices are nice - a lot of food, not that expensive versus other Chinese restaurants in Irvine.Typically very fast order to table, even if youve got five dishes coming.One of those places where even the Chinese pancake with a dash of extra salt is nice.

If you are looking for lo mein noodle place this is the spot! Bring a Vietnamese fluent friend if able :)I would recommend ordering the dry noodle dish to start, that way you can experience the raw flavor before adding the soup based in (soup is included). BBQ ducks is my favorite protein there, they cook it well and add alot of flavor to the dish.Of course all chinese dish comes slightly on the saltier and slightly oily, so it isn't for everyone. However the restaurant really reminds me of homeland Vietnam streets when it's busy!Overall definitely recommend giving this place a try!(On the side note addressing to previous reviewers)I really don't know why people are buying rice noodles and then expect pho restaurants level perfections.Mi La Cay is a Viet inspired Chinese cuisine, lo mein and rice dish are their specialty.Also, they keep the price low by doing cash only, like most family ran asian restaurants.
