The best fast-food Japanese restaurant in the area. Fresh food, friendly staff and very reasonable...... especially for Japanese food. Absolutely love SanSai!
Izakaya Hachi

Price is little bit expensive, but here is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Torrance, where is called 24th ward of Tokyo. Oysters are good, and all of meat dishes are amazing. Meat lover should go for sure!I strongly recommend to make reservation before the visit.
Nozomi

Ueno Sushi & Asian Izakaya
1406 W Carson St, Torrance, CA 90501, United States
We found this place on Yelp, and as usual, they didnt steer us wrong. We ordered the salmon skin salad which was delicious! It was filled with crunchy skin, had just the right amount of dressing, and fresh greens. I will for sure order that again. San Pedro roll and the salmon skin roll were good as well. Lastly, we got the chicken gyoza, which I devoured as soon as it hit the table. The service was just average, but since they just reopened indoor dining, I wont begrudge them that. Luckily, this place is close to home and not very expensive so Ill be back! Next time, Ill take some pictures.Updated 1/23At this point, Ive ordered the salmon skin salad at least 5 times and its consistently delicious. Additionally, the sashimi dinner special and the dynamite scallop are also great.New update 3/24Talk about consistency! My new favorite obsession is the Vic & Jos roll plus the old faithful, salmon skin salad.
Restaurant Komatsu
2515 W Carson St, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
The interior of the restaurant is decorated with handprints of sumo wrestlers, giving it a nostalgic, Showa-era feel. The tempura bowl is full of freshly fried crispy shiso leaves, lotus roots, white fish, eggplant, sweet potato, and shrimp. Thick black pork cutlet and crispy. Fried oysters, hamburgers, grated beef tongue...there are many more appealing menu items, so Id like to come back again. This is Japanese restaurant Komatsu. Tendon is delicious, and there are many other Japanese menus. Tempura, tonkatsu, fried oysters...which one would you like?
Kantaro Sushi

I need some positivity in my life!Thankfully Kantaro Delivers.I was pretty full by the end of this meal!Logistics4 people45 per person for Omakasea two liter bottle of Ozeki270 post tax and tipNow to the critique! My first Omakase Experience and I enjoyed it. Twas a rainy day in a ghetto sketch business plaza. Waiting for my late amigos I wander into the liquor store and down a beer. (Food taste so much better with c2h5oh(anything molecule ending in an OH is an alcohol))First up was the Sashimi Plate of Black Seabass in which they only used one side (the other side is then deep fried later on the night)Ask them for the yuzu pepper, its so TASTY!Everything was delicious and the only thing I could say that didnt quite live up with my standards was the Tuna. I had both better Toro Tuna and Lean Tuna elsewhere. Service is wonderful, our server always served us with a smile =]The only thing I wish they had more of was the Salmon. The only piece of salmon was a their take on a rainbow roll where they had purple rice. All and all, this is a great place to take someone. Weekends require reservations!TL:DRGuys take a girl here on a date, its a very nice place!

I have never been Japanese style restaurant that charges extra for vegetables.... Even if you get the plate. This place is good but not $15 a plate good
Rascals Teriyaki Grill
205 E Carson St, Carson, CA 90745, United States
Ive been going to the Long Beach location for about 10 years but they closed & move to Carson. (Let me tell you my heart ripped out of my chest when I found this out because I eat here on average 1-2x weekly). Im obsessed with their Chinese chicken salad. This salad is perfection as their secret recipe dressing is unique & addicting. They need to bottle it.Im very picky with eating meat, I was a vegetarian before but went back to being a flexetarian (dont judge me) so I only eat meat at select places. Their meat here is always tasty. Ive never gotten sick after eating here all these years. My stomach doesnt play & I will get food poisoning if the food is tainted. The salad itself is simple. Nice & green and they barely use iceberg in it but some other green leafy lettuce primarily which I appreciate. It comes with scallions, cucumbers, fried wonton strips with roasted cashew slices I believe. The combination is amazing. I eat it as is but I will also add more to it at home, like shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños & cherry tomatoes. Chefs kiss! Yes Im a fatty but this salad helps keep my weight under control. I dont feel like Im missing out when Im eating this...its a treat in itself. I prefer this over heavier foods. Speaking of other foods I love their chicken teriyaki too, they do teriyaki justice & the rice is soft n fluffy...so be sure to try that as well. Now on to the Rascals team & management. Ive always experienced great employees here & have held short conversations with them randomly. The manager Art is my bestie in my head. His service makes you feel like youre a VIP consistently. He knows my order & will have me in & out quickly minus the pleasantries & sharing life updates with one another. He is probably the main reason subconsciously I have kept coming back & will continue to regardless of them being further from me. Im about to drive there now to get a large salad to go which is 2 meals for me. Its a huge portion. Half today for dinner & half tomorrow night. It holds up in the fridge great.Omg this is one of my longest reviews ever & nobody asked me to do it. I love this place & its people. Thank you Art for being an amazing public servant. ?
Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecake
3525 W Carson St, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Yes!!! After a failed attempt to actually get jiggly Japanese cheesecake in Japan, I was elated to find Uncle Tetsu in Del Amo Mall. They only had ube and strawberry flavors this afternoon, so I went with the ube. At $12, this ain't cheap... but after the taste test... THIS IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!The cheesecake was light and fluffy and moist with a very delicate ube flavor. So subtle that you can barely taste it (or the cheese) at all. I got a hint of egg in the cake, which is probably what helps make it so fluffy. The cake is a bit oily, which probably contributes to the moistness. Two thumbs up from me for this decadent splurge. Can't wait to try other flavors in the future. ?
Fuji Grill
2704 E Carson St, Lakewood, CA 90712, United States
We went on a Sunday around 1pm. The service was so slow, I think there were only two people working, the cook and the person taking orders. We waited about 5 minutes before someone took our order, there was no one in front of us. Once we ordered we waited about 20 minutes before we received our order. We actually received our complete order before the group of 4 that was there before us. The staff was not very friendly. Lastly, the food wasnt bad but wasnt very good. We ordered the a teriyaki chicken bowl and a teriyaki steak bowl. I should of went to Flame Broiler, theirs is actually better.
