Tokyo House Ramen & Sushi Restaurant
30043 Haun Rd, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
Great food at reasonable prices. The only thing I would change is the decor and layout of the restaurant. Make the seating more personable with dim lighting and incorporate more Japanese themes. Other than that, the food and service were great.
Hana Sushi
30098 Haun Rd STE 300, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
Ive been going to this place for years just because of how conveniently located it is for me, but the last year or more has really made up my mind that Im not going to go here anymore for a handful of reasons. The prices always were a bit higher than average, but now they are just ridiculous. Youre looking at $14-16 PER ROLL. 2 rolls, youre looking at $30, not including drink and tip. But I might still be willing to do it if it werent for everything else..The food used to be great, but for over a year now Ive started getting disappointing quality fish on some occasions. When its good, its good. But no one wants to pay the prices they have for a maybe its good, maybe its bad. More than once I was served a roll with spicy tuna in it, only to find the tuna still frosty and slushy... FROM BEING FROZEN. Other times the seared salmon Ive gotten is clearly not fresh. Lastly, theres nothing better than freshly fried, still-warm tempura! But more often than not the tempura shrimp in my roll will be just as cold as the rest of the roll, and sometimes rubbery and just sad. Take some pride in the food you are putting on a plate for your patrons to eat!Lastly, and maybe the biggest deal breaker, is the horrible service that has become the norm. There are a couple star servers and chefs there. Ive been going there so long they know me by sight. Theyve always been awesome and friendly. However all the other servers are so rude, and apathetic. My entire time Im there I feel like Im unwelcome and not wanted. They avoid eye contact when they sense I am looking toward them to ask for something. They truly come off as though they HATE their job and/or customers. The last time I went I walked through the door and stood in front of the counter. There was a lady behind the register doing something so I stood and waited for her to finish and then acknowledge me. I stood there for almost 2 full awkward minutes (literally) before she even looked up at me. 2 minutes is nothing, if someone says, Hi, Ill be right with you. But I was literally standing 3 feet away directly in front of her and she kept her eyes dutifully averted and head down the entire time. I think she was looking at receipts or something. It doesnt matter though, I felt utterly and purposefully ignored.I dont want to treat myself to a good dinner and then be treated like the staff just wants me to evaporate.Nothing about this place is worth it anymore =/
Pokeport
30141 Antelope Rd, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
Weve become regulars at Poke Port ever since stumbling upon this hidden gem about a 4 months ago. Let me tell you, their food is nothing short of amazing! Initially, we were a bit hesitant to give them a try, worried about the freshness of the seafood. But boy, were we in for a pleasant surprise! The seafood items at Poke Port are incredibly fresh—no doubts there.Whether you opt for a large or small bowl, they expertly pack it with a tantalizing combination of flavors. Personally, I cant resist their mouthwatering salmon bowl and those irresistible crunchy shrimp tacos. Believe me when I say, they outshine many other poke places we used to go to in San Diego. The quality and taste are truly top-notch.One thing worth mentioning is their flexibility. If youre in the mood to unleash your creativity, you can customize your own bowl with a variety of fresh ingredients. Its a fantastic option for those who love to personalize their poke experience.Oh, and lets not forget about their sushi burrito. Although I havent had the chance to try it myself since I keep ordering my favorites, it looks absolutely delightful. Its on my to-do list for sure!If youre seeking the ultimate poke experience in the area, I highly recommend giving Poke Port a visit. Trust me, you wont be disappointed. The combination of fresh seafood, delectable flavors, and the option to customize make it stand out from the rest. Poke Port has undoubtedly earned its title as the best poke place around.

First timer! The food was good, I did a pick up. Just something that bothered me with the service is, once I entered the restaurant, the employee taking out the trash yells out “nose goes!” As in who would take care of the customer, for me I took it a little off, I was not greeted, but the employees were seemingly making a joke on who to see that would help me. I smile a little bit because I know how “nose goes works” and the store was about to close, so I totally understand the whole trying to get closing things done on time. (For I as well work in fast food as an Area Manager); however, what made me want to write this review is when the employee saw me pick my food up and I was reading the receipt to double check it was for me, and she made a comment about me to the other employee, while I was in the store on how I took the food then proceeded to check the name and order as if I wasn't there to hear her. I personally just feel, I love that the two young ladies were having fun and getting things done, just the comment made and the nose goes. As I would like to have been treated as any customer that would come in during the midday regardless Of the time
Ono Hawaiian BBQ
30021 Haun Rd, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
Wonderfully tasty reliable “ono Hawaiian BBQ” chain restaurants are a delicious take on traditional Hawaiian food. Am always traveling back and forth from Oahu HI to Cali (check out ma IG, from_cali_2_hawaii ) So you can trust my authentic review of Hawaiian food. Awesome selection of Hawaiian food from curry katsu to spam musubi, my personal favorite is the Island fire chicken?Highly recommend ! The quality of the veggies and meats is on par with fancy grade like in Hawaii. Quality of food in Hawaii is high due to the high Japanese population where food quality is culturally at a highest point. Love you ono!!!
Sapporo Sushi
29787 Antelope Rd #120, Menifee, CA 92584, United States
Self proclaimed sushi & sashimi connoisseur here! This place is amazing overall for AYCE when considering price to quality of sashimi, quantity of fish to rice, and freshness of seafood. The seaweed salad is fresh & lightly sweetened compared to the pre-packed sweetened salad that most other restaurants use. Their eel sauce is less thick & a bit less sweet with a more pleasant flavor when compared to what most other places use. The sushi rice is seasoned well & rice portion is about the size of one to two knuckles worth of rice to about twice the portion of fish, which is perfect because the fish are cut to perfection, not too thick & served just below cool temperature so the fishs oils, flavor & texture can be enjoyed at its best. The raw oyster is beautifully shucked & presented with a moderately spicey ponzu derived sauce. Then for my personal test of a sushi chefs skill set & my personal icing on the cake I ordered their Salmon Skin Handroll. After picking up the hand roll and letting the oils that fried the skins drain out a few drops I was amazed at the quantity of smokey-charred salmon skin provided. The sumptuous crispy skin with the maximum char took me by surprise, because unlike most places which char the skin to a burned flavor, Sapporos chef maximized the char to a visual that was close to black without the flavor of being burned. There was salmon skin through the bottom of the handroll; each bite containing just the perfect amount of crispy & soft chewy skin with a delicate layer of actual salmon flesh to add to the overall flavor. The yamagobo was lightly pickled & lightly sweetened with a nice crunch. The nori was flexible & easy to chew. I literally was in heaven with one of the best & quite possibly the best salmon skin roll Ive eaten in my 42 years.Service was excellent with about 75% occupancy. There were three ladies whom were very pleasantly attentive with just the right amount of table follow-up service & clearing plates in a timely manner.Love this place! Wifey & daughter agree & well gladly make the 30 minute drive to make this our go to sushi restaurant.Highly recommend!
