The name says sushi but they serve a full-fledged Japanese menu as well as sushi. Hanami Sushi has become my wifes and my go-to restaurant in Morgan Hill when we want good food, good service, and a clean, pleasant place to eat. Weve lived in Morgan Hill for many years, but only discovered Hanami Sushi a few months ago and since then have eaten there regularly. We both love the teriyaki salmon in the 2-main course bento along with California roll or tempura plus miso soup (not too salty, just right), very tasty salad and rice. The service is great: attentive, prompt, very friendly and helpful. This is clearly not a franchise, but a real locally owned and operated Japanese restaurant complete with professional sushi chefs, but with affordable prices!

Another great independently-owned restaurant in Morgan Hill. Who needs the chains! Always warm and friendly; truly a neighborhood restaurant. I always tell myself Im going to try something differnet - and sometimes do- but I usually get the Spicy Pork Mixed Vegetables. Just the right amount of spicy.Korean, Japanese, and American food.

Sushi Nara is my favorite sushi place in Morgan Hill. I get the Sushi Nara #3 almost everytime but you cant go wrong here. Their sushi rice for their nigiri is perfectly cooked and seasoned everytime and they serve large portions (by my standards for nigiri). I cant say enough how much I appreciate the quality of their food for its price. The rest of their rolls are what you expect to find at most American sushi restaurants. You can tell their sushi chefs know what they are doing. My ONLY wish is that they would use better miso for the soup but I dont really care either way. The atmosphere is perfect. Its quiet/low key (generally) which I like and it feels welcoming. I especially like one of the waiters named Michael who seems to be there every time I go. He is really attentive and friendly and now we recognize each other so he makes a little conversation whenever I come in and its nice :). Thanks for being such a consistently great place to go for sushi each week!!! 10/10 from me. ❤️

Terrible service and communication!Waited over an hour for entrees that ultimately never arrived. WiFi was down, but that does NOT affect ability to communicate or to cook. Manager Caitlyn did nothing to resolve the issue other than closing out our check and asking us to still pay over $40 for 3 mediocre drinks. Completely ridiculous. Will NOT be returning.Update: Owner Randys response is nonsensical. Caitlin was comping the drinks for her own tables and all of her tables were receiving prompt food. When we asked her why the other tables were getting served and we werent, see shrugged and said because they were her tables. Completely ridiculous to me that the manager/assistant managers tables were getting priority and comped drinks, while the rest of her employees tables were left with a meager shrug. I also run a technology-reliant small business and when the power or internet is out, we communicate with our customers and handwrite and fulfill the orders. Randys response only solidifies that we will NOT be returning!

I want to say this place was setup more like a dinner setting. Not the usual sushi place you go to. Seem like mainly booth or table seating only. Not that it’s a bad thing. Just that if you’re used to Japanese restaurants in San Jose, this isn’t itOverall the service was good and the food was great. Price wise I’m surprise. For the quality the price was good. It wasn’t as expensive as some of the sushi restutant in San Jose with worst quality. Hope it stays that way. This will be my go to sushi place when I’m in the area.

Fantastic food with big portions, served counter style. They also serve soft drinks, horchata and assorted beers. Theyre located next to the Japanese restaurant in the same shopping center with a long and narrow dining area. It can get crowded as the line to order and pay is adjacent to about half of the dine-in tables. Definitely recommend ordering ahead for take away. This is easily one of our regular Mexican food places in the rotation.

We came to lunch 12-28-19. My friend and I both had the Tofu Soon soup With Beef. My friend had mild, I had spicy. We also ordered one plate of spicy pork ribs. The 1st thing we noticed is the prices had all gone up. The soup was now $13.99, $2 more. The spicey pork ribs were $14.99, also $2 more. The ribs came out and there were only 4 of them. The ribs were also dry. I asked for more sauce. The woman wait staff responded, NO, no! And walked off. I managed to wash one down with water but The other was dry and tasted bad. $14.99 for just 4, practically inedible ribs is too expensive. The small appetizers: The small appetizers were brought with the food. The raw brocolli is a little out of place as is the potato salad (didnt eat). Then there was something fried dry and crispy my friend said she thought it was potato but I am celiac and could not take a chance on something my friend was not able to identify. She said it wasnt tasty and did not want to eat it. We left a lot of food on the table.The soups were super hot and took forever to cool enough to eat. I ordered spicey and the spice was nice but the beef did not taste good. My friend said her mild tofu soon soup was just ok.Two bowls of soup and 4 dry pork ribs, just water to drink $46.84. We wont be back.
