If looking to taste authentic Japanese food dont eat here. Owner is Chinese and cook (dont know what national) doesnt know how to prepare Japanese food and they claim they are Japanese restaurant ???Matter of fact most of the Japanese restaurants in Northern California in past 10-years are owned and operated by Chinese and/or other Asians other than Japanese therefore food and services are very poor.Majority of customers goes to Kyoto eatery doesnt know what Japanese food are like.Take my review seriously, because Im Japanese so I know.

Exceptional dinner at Hana Japanese Restaurant in Rohnert Park tonight. ???I ventured out with a friend for our first Japanese experience in 1.5 years! We chose Hana, a restaurant we both had enjoyed independently in the past and were excited to try together.Chef Ken Tominagas Hana has a reputation for being one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area and it never suits to live up to that reputation.We sat on the back patio, which overlooks a golf course, in a private box (originally installed to be COVID safe).The menu is wonderful and overwhelming. It reminds me of bars I enjoyed in Tokyo - a melting pot of all things Japan.We enjoyed the Japanese version of fried chicken (karaagé) and a rich and decadent Hawaiian ahi poké (a tuna tartare which we added a quail egg on top).For our entrees, we each had bento boxes ($32 each). We chose from a mix and match selection of dishes for personalized boxes. For one of my selections, I chose tonkatsu - a fried pork loin. One of my favorite comfort dishes that reminds me of my time nibbling bento boxes on the train in Japan.Our server expertly curated our sake for our personal tastes - we each had two glasses and they were absolutely delicious. One was so good, we asked to see the bottle for a photo: Yamato Shizuku Junmai Daiginjo (the kind of sake that will make you fall in love with sake if you havent already).We felt unrushed and extremely full and satisfied. If youre looking for delicious, fresh, quality Japanese cuisine with a laid back patio or an elegant inside experience, Hana is the place in Sonoma County.KANPAI!

Come here with $15-20 sometimes and really enjoy myself. Never too crowded, never too sad here. I really enjoy their food and feel it has gotten better as well as their service. Sometimes it's hard for them to crank out 10 orders and DoorDash but bro, it's two people 95% of the time.Anyways, hope this place does well. I enjoy it and for something quick I think it sets in really nice for where it's at right now. Hope they continue to improve! Accommodating staff, decent food, good vibes! ?

I love this place. I dont eat sushi but i do eat Korean BBQ and ghid place does a great job for not being a Korean only restaurant. The service is great and alwaya friendly. I dont really like how loud the music was but thats because i have a hard time hearing and it makes it difficult for me to hear other people at the table. Beaides that this place is great! The korean short ribs are killer almost as good as Simply Vietnam in Santa Rosa, i really enjoy the spicy pork as well. My finace tends to order the Bimbop Rock which is like a hot rice bowl with beef, fried egg, rice and veggies, really good, only criticism would be maybe add like a side of housin(spelling) sauce or cuz sometimes its a little dry and soy sauce doesnt do the trick. The kimchi is to die for! It usually comes with a something special from the chief, the other day it was pickled jalepones and just yesterday it radishs in a spicy chilli paste, absolutely amazing i ate two orders! If your like me and love Asian food but dont like fish this a good place to go to, lots of options. Give it a try and enjoy!

The Salmon Bento box was all awesome. I had a great conversation with the lady Chef. We conversed about Japan, Chinese medicine and had a lovely time laughing. She taught me how to say thank you in Japanese but it was too difficult to say for my brain. I can’t even read or write English very well since I’m such a dumb country boy. Oh well, I digress. She bragged of her Mandarin speaking capabilities and makes a killer Ginger Boba tea. This is my favorite restaurant in Rohnert Park mainly because it’s the first time I’ve eaten in the area. But anyhey, this is a cool spot in California. Thank you all for a real good time!
