Flame Broiler

Its flame broiler The food tastes the same anywhere you go. With that being said, these people here do not pay attention. I called in to place a phone order so I didnt have to wait in line when I got there and was put on hold for 8 minutes. I was still on the phone when I showed up at the location. I walked in And there were no customers inside the restaurant at all. Somebody came out to greet me I showed them the phone and asked why I was left on hold all that time. The girl picked up the phone and said oh oops. Then I placed my order, they asked if I wanted avocado I said yes. The girl says okay no problem gave me my total had the order made and when it came out no avocado. I told the girl there was no avocado on the bowls and she replied oh I didnt charge you. Do you want it? Am I missing something here? You already asked me if I wanted it, I already told you yes and you acknowledged it. Pay attention people or get a new job.

I doubt I will be buying chicken and rice bowls at other places if I can avoid it. It is not so much the food that has me choosing to come back, it is the staff. I purchased an order through GrubHub after a nasty stomach flu which left me in such pain that driving was not an option. The moment they saw there was an issue with the order and it getting a driver assigned to it, they contacted me and said they would be cancelling the order. They mentioned that they also offer their food through postmates and uber, should I desire to order it again. I can say going forward, that anyone willing to train their employees to take a hit like that, is top notch in my book.
Two Hands Corn Dogs
251 Stonewood St, Downey, CA 90241, United States
11/5/23 Sunday I came with my mom to this Korean corn dog stand, we always buy from other locations but this was our first and last time here. To get to the point we waited over 25 minutes for 2 corndogs. While waiting my mom and I were across the stand waiting and we noticed one of the managers & I'm assuming she's a manager because her shirt was not the color of the employee's it was light tan and she had her hair loose not tied up in anyway or braided just loose ready to get into anyone's food which that itself hair being lose is already a violation. Anyways while waiting we saw people return some food and we did not think much of it. The lady with the tan shirt says our food is almost ready I guess she noticed we were waiting way too long. And by the time our food was ready one of the employees opens the box and noticed a BITTEN CORNDOG in there and shows it to her and then they throw it away. The only reason I noticed was because since we were waiting to long we got close to the stand to see them prepare food to pass the time and we see that they only made one new dog for us. And the other one was from someone who came back and returned it. I will be contacting corporate about this or I wish to speak to the owner because this is absolutely disgusting. And a hazard. We don't know what other people did with the food and you still serve it after it's returned and not only that you leave it in there bitten ??? I thank god my bordom let meNotice this because that's so disgusting we did get fresh new ones but couldn't eat comfortably after what we saw. The manager or whoever she was knows what she did this took place on Sunday around 5:30 maybe 6:30ish I don't remember but it was around that time. I will be contacting corporate about this because giving out returned food to customers is a good way to get people sick because you don't know what others did to the food. Returned food shouldn't even be given out at all. Disgusting and the manager should be ashamed of what she's doing here and did. Beware of eating here.

The two employees who come to our store, Walter and Gustavo, are really friendly and their service is very good. They stood by my side even when things were difficult and even expressed my complaints to the company and resolved them..I would also like to recommend this to Korean restaurants that need a dish washer.Even though their English is limited, these employees listen carefully and provide easy explanations. Dont worry, if you need a dish washer, you can order it. ^^
Bauhaus
405 Downey Ave, Modesto, CA 95354, United States
Ive travelled far and wide, from Michelin starred restaurants to legendary local haunts, and yet nowhere on earth have I had a dining experience as phenomenal as Ive had at Bauhaus. The food is as fresh as it is original, often brought in shop the same day from the local farmers market or a shoreline if looking for seafood, with everything made right for you behind the bar counter in the worlds most magical little oven; how they make food ranging from pastrami banh mi sandwiches to honey covered garlic brie pastries is beyond me, but everything - everything - is exceptional. The beer and wine selection is robust with something for everyone, including house made red and white sangrias that feature fresh fruit in the glass. Hard to beat. But, what takes Bauhaus from merely being an excellent place to grab a bite to eat to being truly special are the people that infuse the space with love. Chef Tye and the hostess, Meara, make you feel as welcomed as if you were their closest friends and take care of you equally as well. Laughter and storytelling between patrons and them is a common occurrence and you just cant help but leave with a great big smile on your face, and at the heart of it all, isnt that what its all about? This place is not to be missed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Time Out Burger
9841 Imperial Hwy., Downey, CA 90242, United States
Today was probably my 20th visit at this place use to be my favorite spot when I was craving teriyaki because my family could.order anything else and food would be made fresh well done aand delicious. Today was unrecognizable. Everything was bland no flavor, over cooked or not cooked right at all. Who misses cooking fries the right way? They did. All frozen fries tasted like frozen fries. Their drinks (Ice Tea and coke) tasted weird. I was super disappointed. I called and spoke with Mary she immediately said If you want a refund you need to bring me back eeeeeeeeverything in the order or I wont be able to.. I said hold on. Im not planning on driving back for this. I am calling to make yoo aware the cook needs to put more attention. She said A-hum and then? It was pointless. You can always make a connection with people and have them see what you mean. This place lacks customer service and a good cook.

No better chain restaurant. I always find something delicious here. Im disappointed to hear they stopped serving the calimari appetizer. Right now, I am hooked on the bowls . Ahi and the Korean are my favorites. I love to take my dog here, and she loves the bowls.
Downey Landing

Quite sometime (Pandemic) since I been to Downey Landing or the city of Downey for that matter. I order some Lean Body Cafe Mocha RTD for pick up (RTD means Ready To Drink) through Vitamin Shoppe app. So on my way to Downey Landing. With everything going on (pandemic), felt good to get out of the house and get on the Freeway for a nice drive (Followed all safety protocols). From my location, took about an hour.Once at Vitamin Shoppe, I pick up Lean Body that I ordered day before. I did notice that 2 cases were going to expire March 2021. Informed staff at Vitamin Shoppe and I was able to get 2 different cases that expire December 2021...?As I walked out of Vitamin Shoppe and headed towards my car, I glanced around Downey Landing. It has changed a lot since the last time I was there. Basically, more modern. If you happen to be near or in the city of Downey, give Downey Landing a try. Plenty of shops and restaurants (Outdoor dining) to choose from. Pretty cool.

The point of this review is to provide constructive feedback:I finally stopped by this place this morning while on my way back to OC. We got some pancakes, French toast, two sides of eggs, 4 slices of bacon and some coffee. The total came out to something like $70.I do not mind dropping $70 on breakfast however, the price did NOT match the quality. I have had less expensive breakfast at finer dinning places here in Newport Beach. Now, this isnt a knock on the place but rather heres what Id like to see for that price:1) The eggs:- The eggs were hard and dry, they could have been maybewhisked with a little bit of heavy creamer to achievefluffiness and maintain moisture.2) The presentation of the food:- The strawberries were a nice touch but the extra mile, wouldhave been to bring syrup in a pourable little syrup pitcher. The same goes with the cream for coffee. Instead, they werebrought to me in plastic? For $15 per stack of 3 pancakes?and another $15 for 3 slices of French toast?3) The French Toast:- Very lackluster. Moist inside but the crust was obscenely dry.We had to cut through the edges with the same fervor of a dryT-bone steak. It was dry as heck.4) Payment, Gratuity, and Service:- I understand the efficiency of paying at the counter andpaying up front, however.. why ask for the Tip ahead of time?A tip is a gauge of service and I cant gauge what isappropriate if I pay for my food ahead of time then go sit. Inever really saw a server come by to ask how the food was oranything.TL; DR - The price did not match the quality. Ill for sure come here again and try something else.... maybe I didnt get the right thing here?

Food is okay. Mainly come here for the drinks. They are never open when their hours say they are, so call ahead. I get my water next door and it says theyre opwn at 1030, but I literally say them walk through for the day 15min after. While sick and needing soup, I sent my partner to get some knowing they dont close til 8...as listed in their store hours. But even 15 min til they were already closed. I dont mind when businesses want to have time to spend with their families...I just want them to be upfront and honest about their hours so people dont waste their time driving out there. And really, if you feel business is so slow you can open and close whenever you want, maybe thats the reason people dont show up--they never know if youll be open.
